Greetings from the front lines.  Our daughter who lives near the northern borders just told us that Israeli Homeland Security told residents of her area to have an emergency bag packed and ready to go in the event of possible imminent war.  We are entering into a season historically known as the "dire straights", when major tragedies have fallen on the Jewish people, including the destruction of the First and Second Temples, culminating in Tisha b'Av.

The adversary of Israel is once again roaming the earth looking for whom he can devour, and this time he's even got the Israeli Tourism Ministry advertising his event!  Here is the ad:

"The king of all electronic music festivals Tomorrowland is taking place for the first time in Israel this summer! "UNITE - The Mirror to Tomorrowland is an international event taking place simultaneously in 7 countries (Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico and South Africa) "mirroring" the father event, the Belgian festival has become a cult among electronic music fans... as a psychedelic night of partying, uniting thousands of people around the world.  Tomorrowland takes place at the Payis Arena in Jerusalem, on July 23, 2016."

The city of Jerusalem recently banned the ICEJ and other Christian groups from using the Payis Arena and yet they're allowing such blatant occultism!  During Tomorrowland the Hindu "goddess" Kali will be addressing the people through a hologram, calling forth unity with "the one man who knew the mysteries of the universe from within.  Because of his vision, a great work was completed (an image of CERN then appears) and humanity can be reborn."

This is not a hippie music festival but it is an organized attempt to call forth the man of lawlessness, the anti-Christ!   Friends, this is happening in the City of our King!  It's an abomination that must be met head on.  This is not a time to panic nor fear, but a time to fast and pray, seek the L-rd and proclaim His promises over His children here in Israel and in the nations.  Please join us this week as we enter into the dire straights and call on Yeshua our Messiah to lead us and our loved ones and yours safety through.
Yeshua said, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father but through Me."  John 14:6

Israel Passes Law to Protect Christians in IDF - David Lazarus ISRAEL TODAY

Israel Passes Law to Protect Christians in IDF

Friday, July 15, 2016 |  David Lazarus  ISRAEL TODAY
The Knesset passed a bill this week designed to protect Arab Christians who enlist in the Israeli army.  The law, which includes an extended prison sentence for anyone who tries to dissuade a Christian Arab from serving in the IDF, became necessary in the face of stiff opposition and violent attacks against the Christian soldiers.
Much of the hostility towards the Christian soldiers comes from Arab members of Israeli Knesset. Knesset member Aida Touma-Suliman of the Joint Arab List attacked the bill during the debate. “They want to drag the Christian Arab population into volunteering for the army that is occupying their people,” she said. “We will try to suggest to our young people a path that is total pride and honor, and not to be part of any machine (IDF) that oppresses our people.”
There are over 130,000 Christian Arab citizens in Israel, a potential source of significant recruitment for the IDF. However, Arab Christian enlistment has been severely limited due largely to the threats and incitement against young Christians wanting to join the army. That appears to be changing as unprecedented numbers of Christians are enlisting.
Father Gabriel Naddaf, a Greek Orthodox priest who has advocated for a strong connection to Israel and IDF service for Christian Arabs, has also been threatened with violence, and even death. His 17-year-old son was attacked in Nazareth. The attacker was identified as an activist from the Arab Hadash party in Israel’s Knesset. Other Arab MKs have also condemned Naddaf, calling him “an agent of Zionism who seeks to divide Arabs.”
Arab Knesset members present during discussions over a bill ultimately designed to end intimidation against fellow Arabs (albeit Christians) were extremely vocal in their opposition. MK Talab Abu Arar from the Joint Arab List told the plenum, “I, as a Bedouin Arab, call on all Bedouin Arab soldiers to throw away their uniforms … and to return to the struggle against racist policies (of the IDF) against Arabs in general and against Bedouin in the Negev in particular.”
It was a bold and dangerous decision by the Israeli government to encourage Arab Christians to enlist in the IDF. Now that the government has passed a bill putting into law protections for the Arab Christians who want to serve in the army, a clear message has been sent to the rabble-rousers stirring up violence between Jews and Arabs in the country;  they will be punished.
Our prayer is that this bold message will contribute to greater integration and cooperation between the many Jews and Arabs who want to live together, and serve together, in Israel.

2016 Election With Perry Stone on It's Supernatural. Perry speaks words of prophecy and the moving of the Holy Spirit in these last days. This is a blessing and encouraging to me and I hope it will be to you also. We hear so much negative stuff these days, but what is God doing? Is He not still in control? I know He is. We could very well see a great moving like we have never seen before. It's not a time to give up people, it's time to praise the Lord for He is still working. He is mighty, He is all in all. I'm getting excited to see what He is going to do in these days. The next video I will upload is children talking about who Jesus is, Don't miss it. It's the best thing I have seen in a very long time.

Re-Thinking Goliath: Archaeologists Shed New Light on the Philistines - CBN News Julie Stahl

Re-Thinking Goliath: Archaeologists Shed New Light on the Philistines
07-14-2016
CBN News Julie Stahl

ASHKELON, Israel – For the first time ever, archaeologists in Israel say they have uncovered a Philistine cemetery that could shed light on the origins of that ancient people named as an enemy of the Israelites in the Bible.
Archaeologists found the cemetery while digging in Ashkelon – one of five ancient Philistine cities.
"Now we have a major cemetery right next to one of these five cities of the Philistines," said Daniel Master, professor of Archaeology at Wheaton College.  Master is co-director of the site and has been excavating there for 25 years.
"So we're sure we've nailed it. We're sure we have a cemetery of the Philistines," Master told CBN News.
A Great Way to End
After 30 years of digging in Ashkelon, archaeologists say finding the cemetery was an astounding way to end the Leon Levy Expedition.
New finds from the cemetery and artifacts from the 30-year excavation are on display in the Israel Museum in an exhibit called, "Ashkelon: A Retrospective, 30 Years of the Leon Levy Expedition at the Rockefeller Archaeological Museum in Jerusalem."
The excavation represents about 5,000 years of various civilizations at the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon.
"The name Ashkelon actually comes from the root "shekel" so S-K-L, which means to weigh. The shekel, the New Israeli Shekel, is also from there so the name Ashkelon automatically connects us to commerce and basically to trade," said Nurith Goshen, co-curator of the exhibition.
Goshen says most of the burials were in skeleton form.
"What we're trying to display is different types of burials we have in the cemetery," Goshen told journalists. "We have a cremation set."
"Some of the deceased were adorned with jewelry," Goshen added. "There was one burial that we can identify as a warrior burial."
For years, archaeologists and scholars searched for clues as to the origin of the Philistines.
"One of the things about Ashkelon is that we're one of the few sites that can tell the story of the Philistines from beginning to end," Master said.
"So we've studied the Philistines from the 12th century (B.C.) as they arrived we think from the world of the Aegean," he said. "We've been able to see their development over time, from the 10th, the 9th, the 8th century (B.C.) and then at the end in the 7th century we see a brief renaissance and then we see the final fiery destruction."
Thousands More
Master said the cemetery houses thousands of remains of which more than 200 have been recovered.
Now, tests on bone samples from the cemetery that dates from the 11th to the 8th century B.C. could confirm what many long believed:  that the Philistines were mariners, or the "sea people" of the Bible and traders who migrated to ancient Israel from the west.
"This is going to allow us to see the Philistines face-to-face and to tell their stories not through the texts of their enemies – as the stories been so often told – but now we'll be able to tell the story from the standpoint of the Philistines themselves," Master said.
Lawrence Stager is the Dorot professor emeritus of the Archaeology of Israel, at Harvard University and the original director and now co-director of the Leon Levy Expedition to Ashkelon. He has been overseeing the work at the site, which takes place mostly during the summer, since 1985.
He noted most biblical references to the Philistines pit them as bitter enemies of the Israelites.
"Most of the portrayal you get in the Bible is the negative one because they want to compare an Israelite against a Philistine. They are the uncircumcised, you know, we are the circumcised. We don't eat pig. They did," Stager told CBN News.
Flawed Interpretation
In the Hebrew Bible the Israelites often referred to the Philistines as "uncircumcised" and that came to mean today "uncultured."  But that wasn't the case.
"Philistine has the idea of uncultured or unsophisticated, but what we find was that the Philistines were plenty cultured and plenty sophisticated and they were quite a cosmopolitan people, international people," said Master.
That means "we have to re-evaluate the question and say, what was it about the Philistines that the writers of the biblical text didn't like," he added.
Other scholars say "uncircumcised" likely referred to the fact they were idol worshipers and had no connection to the God of Israel.
The Philistines lived in Ashkelon for about 600 years.
"That's a long time when you think about it in terms of even the United States and how long we've been there. And then finally they were destroyed in 604 B.C.," Stager said.
According to historical texts, King Nebuchadnezzar completely destroyed the Philistine city of Ashkelon in 604 B.C. That was about 20 years before Nebuchadnezzar carried away the Judeans to exile in Babylon as described in the Book of Jeremiah.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog: What do we know about the terrorist who killed 84 in Nice, France?

What do we know about the terrorist who killed 84 in Nice, France? Here’s the latest — including an ISIS call for Muslims to plow over people in cars.

by joelcrosenberg
The man who killed 84 people -- including at least two Americans -- in Nice, France, last night was a 31-year old French resident of North African origin named Lahouaiej Bouhlel.
Born in Tunisia, Bouhel used a large commercial truck to drive over crowds of pedestrians and tourists, often accelerating along his two kilometers killing spree, before being stopped, shot and killed by French police. Inside the truck, authorities found "a pistol, a larger gun, and a number of fake weapons and grenades."
French President Francois Hollande called the event a "terrorist" attack even thought no terror organization has yet claimed responsibility. Still, the Islamic State has called for Muslims to killed Americans and Frenchmen in any way possible, including plowing into them with cars.
A French newspaper reports: "We can confirm the identity of the driver of the truck that drove into the crowds Tuesday night, according to our information.  It is the owner of the identity card that was found in the truck by police. He is from Nice and is of Tunisian origin, aged 31, called Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel. Police raided his apartment in the Nice Nord district this morning. He works as a delivery driver and is known for criminal acts, including violence, but any radicalisation has gone unnoticed. His act seems yet to have been premeditated. He may have hired the truck on Wednesday in a neighboring town of Nice. The investigators are still is looking for possible accomplices."
"A Bastille Day fireworks celebration was shattered by death and mayhem on Thursdaynight in the southern French city of Nice when a large truck barreled for more than a mile through an enormous crowd of spectators, crushing and maiming dozens in what France’s president called a terrorist assault," reported the New York Times. "It came eight months after the Paris attacks that traumatized the nation and all of Europe."
"Officials and witnesses in Nice said at least 84 people, including children, were killed by the driver of the rampaging truck, who mowed them down on the sidewalk," the Timesadded. "He was shot to death by the police as officers scrambled to respond on what is France’s most important annual holiday. Graphic television and video images showed the truck accelerating and tearing through the crowd, dozens of victims sprawled in its path, and the bullet-riddled windshield of the vehicle. Municipal officials and police officers described the truck as full of weapons and grenades."
“The horror, the horror has, once again, hit France,” President François Hollande said in a nationally televised address early Friday. He said the “terrorist character” of the assault was undeniable, and he described the use of a large truck to deliberately kill people as “a monstrosity.”
