Today's Israel Inspiration

King David, the composer of the Book of Psalms, endured numerous hardships throughout his life as a warrior of Hashem. Constantly in the face of danger as he fought against Israel's enemies, David always called out to his Creator to protect and save him even in the most difficult of times. This showed David that God's mercy and kindness were always with him and this inspired the poet to write today's verse, which is a deeply inspiring message of the high degree of attentiveness and love which God consistently gives to His creations.

Yesterday's Photo Trivia

Yesterday's photo was taken near the beautiful Biblical city of Hebron. From this special vantage point, we can see so much beauty of the Holy Land, including a plethora of olive groves, vineyards, and a quarry.

Thank you for your messages. They are uplifting and I look forward to reading them every day. Israel is a wonderful place and Judaism is a beautiful religion. Your dispatches have helped me to reestablish a "connection" with Israel, a place that I sorely miss since going there many years ago. Thanks (To-da!). -Eriik Nikula

Quotes

You know, if the only card that the Democratic Party has to play against Donald Trump is the race card, if we can prove that that race card is a bogus card, it’s a counterfeit card, it has no business in the deck, then we can change minds. – Darrell Scott
When you get in that voting booth, all that peer pressure is gone. It’s you and God in that booth together. – Darrell Scott

Scriptures

I Samuel 15:24 KJV And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
II Chronicles 7:14 MEV if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Esther 2:21-23 MEV During those days when Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, two of the king’s eunuchs, Bigthan and Teresh, who served as keepers of the door, became angry and sought to attack King Ahasuerus. But the matter became known to Mordecai, and he reported it to Queen Esther, and Esther reported it to the king in the name of Mordecai. When the matter was investigated and confirmed, both men were hanged on the gallows, and it was written in the book of the chronicles in the presence of the king.
Esther 4:14 MEV For if you remain silent at this time, protection and deliverance for the Jews will be ordained from some other place, but you and your father’s house shall be destroyed. And who knows if you may have attained royal position for such a time as this?”
Esther 1:4-5 MEV He unveiled the riches of his glorious kingdom and the costly luxury of his greatness for many days, one hundred and eighty days. When these days were completed, the king prepared a seven-day feast for all the people present, from the greatest to the least, in the citadel of Susa. This feast was in the courtyard garden of the king’s palace
Esther 1:10-12 MEV On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Karkas, the seven eunuchs attending to the needs of King Ahasuerus, to bring Queen Vashti before the king with the royal crown, to unveil her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful. But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command delivered by his eunuchs. Therefore, the king grew very angry, and his wrath burned within him.
Esther 1:17 MEV For should this matter of the queen spread to all wives, then they would look with contempt on their husbands when it is reported that, ‘King Ahasuerus commanded Queen Vashti to be brought before him, but she never came.’
Esther 3:9 MEV If it pleases the king, may it be written that they are to be destroyed, and may there be ten thousand talents of silver deposited into the king’s treasuries so that I may distribute it to the hands of those doing the work.”
Esther 4:16 MEV “Go, gather all the Jews who can be found in Susa, then fast for me. Stop eating and drinking for three days, night or day. I and my young women will fast likewise. Only then would I dare go to the king since it is not allowed by law, and if I perish, I perish.”
Esther 7:10 KJV So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.
Proverbs 26:27 MEV Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone, it will return upon him.
I Samuel 15:9 KJV But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
Revelation 13:17 MEV so that no one may buy or sell, except he who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.
