ISRAEL'S 21st CENTURY CHRISTIAN ENEMIES ...by Jim Fletcher
Many evangelical Christians, probably most, are avid supporters of the Jewish State. But not all of them. There is a growing number of megachurch pastors and opinion shapers - like singing artists, professors and publishers - who are adopting and promoting an anti-Israel "Christian" narrative. It is a movement that is aimed at millennials with growing success. Why? Jim Fletcher explains. READ MORE...

EVANGELICAL TERRORISM ...by Brian Schrauger
Earlier this year, in the middle of the so-called Knife or Stabbing Intifada in which Israeli's were being randomly slaughtered by blade-wielding Islamist Palestinians, evangelical leaders in Bethlehem held a conference. Called "Christ at the Checkpoint," its message was in sync with the current intifada. It was a full, frontal assault. But the intended victim of the conference, instead of Israel, was the community of Christians who stand with Israel, who support the Jewish State. READ MORE...

Around the world, news agencies are finding it increasingly difficult to fund their operations. As a result, the quality of news, especially written news, is suffering. If you do not want to see this happen to news about Israel, from Israel, we need your help.
If you have a passion for the news, especially news about Israel and from Israeli perspectives, help us. Donate a monthly amount, endow us for the present and coming crucial years. CLICK HERE
Our primary financial need is to pay those who write for us. Many do so at no charge. Even so, every laborer deserves to be paid. Inasmuch as we pay our reporters, we facilitate their lives in Israel, encourage them and insure more and better stories in the future.
There is also a need to go on location where stories are happening stories. Because we are already in the Middle East, we do not have to go far. Still, there is a cost in sending reporters to places "on the ground" where stories are happening. Partner with us in this work through your monthly donation.

The following is a press release from our friends at the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ)
In response to UNESCO’s recent passage of a resolution denying any Jewish or Christian connections to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem has called on Christians around the world to send Bibles to the UNESCO offices in Paris to remind them of the irrefutable history of the site. Hundreds of Bibles have already been posted to UNESCO with many of its references to “Jerusalem” and the “Temple” highlighted, and thousands more are expected to arrive in coming weeks.
“We were very shocked and disappointed that UNESCO would adopt such a flawed resolution,” said the ICEJ’s Executive Director, Dr. Jürgen Bühler. “Most of us view these diplomats as being principled and well-educated. But apparently, some of them forgot their history lessons and we are sending them Bibles to refresh their memory. Even worse, some of these representatives are deliberately trying to erase the Jewish and Christian bonds to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and other revered sites in the Land of Israel. Hopefully, our campaign will give our nations’ envoys at UNESCO the courage to stand up to the anti-Semites in their midst.”
At the time the UNESCO resolution was passed two weeks ago, the ICEJ was hosting its annual Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. The day after the UNESCO decision, some 8,000 Christians from over 100 nations took to the streets of the Israeli capital in the traditional Jerusalem March to express their solidarity with the Jewish people and their ancient claim and connection to the city.
As the ICEJ’s week-long Feast was ending, Dr. Bühler issued a call for Christians everywhere to send Bibles to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris to press home the message that Jews and Christians have indisputable historic links to Jerusalem which predate Islam by centuries. The Christian Embassy is now receiving reports that hundreds of Bibles are already posted to UNESCO and thousands more will soon be on the way.
Jerusalem is mentioned by name more than 1,000 times in the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, while the Temple Mount appears hundreds of times as well. There also are hundreds of other references to the site as “Zion”, the “House of the Lord,” the “courts of the Lord,” and similar terms.

What I was experiencing messed with my theology to a radically uncomfortable degree. The Holy Spirit was making sure I would never be the same again. Mission accomplished.
I count the early 1990s as the most significant season of my life to date. God had invaded my life. Do you feel the weight of that reality? The burning, raging Creator thrust Himself into this mere mortal!
The Holy Spirit took me beyond a mere understanding of my need for a savior and a simple acceptance of Jesus as that savior to a place of breathtaking experience in His extreme, fearsome and surprisingly vivid invisible realm. The sudden all-consuming desire of my heart was to be intimately joined with the Lover of my soul every moment of my life. I was craving and experiencing a legitimate, reportable and constant weighty manifestation of the presence of God in my life. I was burning! The desire and the cry of my heart was, "More!"
In those early years, as I was diving into the increasingly deeper realms of life in God, many things happened that I'll never forget—but one event shook me like no other before or since.
I Had a Dream
The night I had this uninvited invasion of both God and hell into my sleep, I was living in an old, vacant church building as the caretaker. The dramatic scene was what you would imagine—the church was a relatively ancient stone structure. I would regularly encounter God as I walked through the now empty corridors, hidden rooms, sanctuary and other mysterious places throughout that relic. The countless hours praying in this vacant building resulted in forming me as a young burning man in some very memorable ways.
One destined evening I prepared for bed as I did every other night. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I prayed myself to sleep in the weighty and wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit as I had done so many times before.
What was about to happen as I slipped into sleep that fateful night would result in a tremble that is with me to this day—25 years later. I was invited into an otherworldly encounter that I had no freedom to turn down.
Because of the unimaginable panic and terror I experienced that night long ago, I would often pray as I went to sleep, "God, please don't give me any dreams tonight." I prayed that way for 13 years.
Thirteen years! God eventually spoke clearly to me, after 13 years of receiving many visions, but no dreams of God, "John, I need you to stop praying that prayer. I have things to reveal to you. I need to talk to you. I have dreams for you to dream." I relented and have since craved dreams, angelic visitations and other forms of communication from the heavenly realm.
During this night of terror over 25 years ago, I fell asleep in the old, empty church building and found myself dreaming.
In my dream, I was laying on my stomach in a one-room building. It was very comfortable inside, though there was nothing in the room. It was empty. I rested on the carpet and looked out of the two windows, one in front of me and one to my right. The overwhelming feeling that I had was one of comfort and relaxation. I had no concerns and no thoughts beyond enjoying the atmosphere I was in. This feeling is what drove my entire experience. Obviously nothing could be wrong if I was feeling so good, right?
Through the windows I could see a peaceful, lazy and bright sunny day unfolding. It was beautiful! The trees were blowing in a gentle breeze. The birds were chirping and flying from tree to tree. What a brilliant Creator we have! Everything was so refreshing and alive! I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon.
Then, suddenly, I experienced a changing of the scene. Like time-lapse photography, as I was in the same position on the floor looking out the window, I watched the atmosphere suddenly change. There was an immediate and progressive shift. The clouds were ever so slightly darkening and increasing in coverage in the sky. The gentle breeze picked up velocity and the brilliant brightness started to go in and out as periodic shadows covered the area while the sun hid beyond the advancing clouds. It seemed as if some rain might be moving in. I rested there, stretched out on my belly with my head in my hands as I watched it unfold. I remained immersed in my own comfort. I was taking deep breaths and enjoying every moment of my day.
Time lapsed again and I saw the sky completely covered in clouds—clouds much darker than just a few moments ago. I could now smell the fresh and unmistakable scent of the coming rain.
"Concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man" (Matt. 24:36-39).
The birds were taking cover as the wind picked up significantly. In the distance I saw several lightning strikes. It sure seemed as if this could be quite a storm. How was it that I was feeling no concern, no urgency to prepare as I enjoyed my personal, careless experience in that small, one-room shack? I stretched out and relaxed even more. The greater the threat, the greater the "peace." What a wonderful day I was having.
Again, for the third time, I watched the scene in front of me change suddenly. Now, it was fully obvious the storm would most definitely hit—and soon. The wind was intense and large, ominous drops of rain started to hit the windows. Violent and arrogant lightning that seemed to have a personality all its own struck less than 300 yards away.
The thumps of hail hitting the roof started and quickly increased in force. It was time for concern. The threat of danger was increasing by the second, but I didn't feel any urgency or need to respond. I remained prostrate on the ground, refreshed and at ease, just as I did when it was a beautiful sunny day. I was enjoying the perceived safety of my environment. I was feeling so good.
Once again, time lapsed and I found myself in the center of a churning, dreadful force that seemed powerful enough to split the Earth in two. The storm of the century was upon me. The massive trees were nearly snapping in two as they bent over parallel to the ground. The hail was massive in size and was slamming every surface around me. The windows were buckling in and out as the incredible pressure of the storm weighed on them. The lightning that burned hotter than the surface of the sun was literally striking mere feet from the shack. The walls were shaking. You can imagine what I was experiencing in that terrible and fearful moment. You guessed it: beautiful peace, safety and comfort. It truly was a wonderful day, until ...

We have just endured the most bitter and divisive presidential contest in a lifetime. The whole nation is shell-shocked. Our ears are ringing and our heads are pounding after being bombarded for more than a year and a half with noisy rhetoric.
Imagine if an alien spaceship tried to decipher the jumbled message that has been transmitted from the United States for the past 19 months. "Trump is a racist! Hillary is a nasty woman! Trump gropes women! Send Hillary to prison! The election is rigged! Remember Benghazi! Trump hates Megyn Kelly! Megyn Kelly hates Newt Gingrich! Blah blah blah blah blah!"
I have loathed every minute of it. I'm looking for a T-shirt that says: "Thank God it's over."
My struggle wasn't caused by the bickering about Obamacare, Hillary's email server, Donald Trump's insults or Bernie Sander's liberal lectures. I don't mind the arguments and put-downs on the news, because I can turn off the television when I want to. And I believe there is a place for legitimate political debate. What grieved me most was seeing the hatefulness Christians threw at each other during this election cycle.
I've heard Christians swear at each other, verbally assault each other, and dissect each other in self-righteous Facebook posts. I've watched one Christian demonize another Christian simply because they have different views on a public policy issue. And I've seen how the racial divisions in the church grew deeper when a pastor decided to politicize a sermon or tell people they had to vote a certain way to please God.
About half of our population will be celebrating the winner of this election next Tuesday, while the other half will be licking their wounds. I don't believe the Holy Spirit will be taking sides. I believe He is grieved by the way the church behaved.
What exactly does it mean to grieve the Holy Spirit? The clue is found in Ephesians 4:30, which says: "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Then the apostle Paul goes on to explain how to avoid grieving the Spirit.
He writes: "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has forgiven you" (v. 31-32).
The point here is that the Holy Spirit is quenched when we mistreat each other. Our relationship with God is not just about how we act individually. Christianity is not a Lone Ranger religion. If we don't treat each other with love and respect, the Spirit is not happy. He withdraws His blessing and waits for us to repent. He calls us to community.
It's interesting that one of the behaviors mentioned in this verse is "clamor." This is the Greek word kraugē, which means "to shout or cry loud or insistently." It refers to the volume level of an argument. Yes, you can grieve the Holy Spirit with your tone of voice.
There is nothing wrong with disagreeing. But when our disagreements become shouting matches, and our tone becomes harsh or vindictive, the Holy Spirit tunes out. He does not like it when we shout, scream, rant and spew venom at each other.
Yet many Christians today defend this behavior. We have been trained well by the sharp-witted commentators on Fox News and CNN. We have the idea that standing for truth requires us to blast our opponents out of the water. We wield our verbal swords and skewer our enemies like Roman gladiators in the coliseum. And the crowds cheer when we slay our political opponents with snappy one-liners. Touché!
God, forgive us. We have called what is evil good. We thought we were exhibiting moral courage when we brashly attacked a brother who had a different opinion about immigrants or health care policy. We thought God was pleased when we shouted down the woman who disagreed with us about transgender bathrooms. We thought God was on our side when we angrily quoted the Bible and waved our fists in the air.
We didn't have a clue that the Holy Spirit had withdrawn from us. He was grieved. We didn't realize that just because a person is right about something does not mean they have God's blessing. Moses was a great man of God, but when he struck the rock in anger he forfeited his chance to enter the Promised Land.
If you have allowed anger to take control of your life during this crazy political season, pull away from the ruckus and let the Holy Spirit adjust your attitude. Go on a fast from ranting and raving. Stop being outraged and encourage somebody. Forgive those who disagree with you. Love those who voted differently from you. Set politics aside and act like a Christian.

Obama May Push Palestinian State Through at UN in Final Months: Report
“For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should have taunted the armies of the living God?” I Samuel 17:26 (The Israel Bible™)
President Barack Obama has ordered up an “options menu” for proceeding with a diplomatic resolution between Israel and the Palestinians at the United Nations, to Israel’s great consternation, a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) editorial reported on Monday.
According to the article, entitled “Obama’s Israel Surprise”, the White House has requested a list of options from the State Department to fill Obama’s final months in office. Among them: sponsoring a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlement building – a step that, despite the US’s known displeasure on the subject, the administration has yet to officially take.
Obama might sponsor, “or at least allow”, such a resolution, said the article, and, domestically, punish Americans involved in Israeli construction by implementing “new IRS regulations revoking the tax-exempt status of people or entities involved in settlement building.”
There is another, even more worrying option on the menu, the WSJ warned, and that is the possibility of Obama pushing “formal recognition of a Palestinian state at the Security Council.”
Such a move, without a simultaneous peace agreement with Israel, would essentially destroy the possibility for a future peace. Without a state as a bargaining chip, the Palestinians would lack virtually all motivation to work with Israel.
But the worst option of all, continued the article, “would be an effort to introduce a resolution at the UN Security Council setting ‘parameters’ for a final settlement between Israel and the Palestinians.”
Israel has long argued that the only way to come to a peace agreement with the Palestinians is through direct negotiations between the two parties. Imposing a framework on talks would remove Israel’s autonomy over its own fate and give power to a governing body which has proven itself to be less than sympathetic to the Jewish state.
Obama could accomplish this feat with little effort. France has been attempting to insert itself into the conflict by moderating talks for months; if the US refused to veto a French resolution on the issue, it would likely pass.
Whatever parameters imposed by the UN “would be unacceptable to any Israeli government, left or right,” said the article.
The editorial concluded by advising Obama to stay out of it, forcing the Palestinians to come to direct negotiations.
“If Mr. Obama is still seeking a Middle East legacy at this late stage in his presidency, his best move is do nothing to make it worse.”

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee recently shared these comments about the upcoming election with members of the American Renewal Project:
Franklin Graham is exhorting Evangelical and Pro-Life Catholic Christians to show-up in record numbers on Election Day, this coming Tuesday, November 8th. Pastors please share with your congregation this 19 second spot on Sunday.
We say every four years, "The is the most important election in our lifetime." This truly is! If Evangelical and Pro-Life Catholic Christians do not register and vote on Election Day, the encroachment of transgender bathrooms by the Obama Administration is only the beginning. Kentucky clerk Kim Davis' incarceration last September will be only the warmup act. YOU are next!"
As you may recall, I substituted for Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel, and invited Franklin Graham, Dr. Robert Jeffress and the American Renewal Project's David Lane to be my guests.
A word to my pastor friends: Donald Trump used a term the American Renewal Project's pastors and pews event in Orlando, in association with the repeal of the Johnson Amendment—"Leverage". Mr. Trump said the Evangelical pastors influence in the public square had been severely damaged since TX Senator Lyndon Johnson wrote and passed the bill—as a reaction to conservative opposition in his run for reelection in 1954.
If Evangelical and Pro-Life Catholic Believers stay home on November 8, 2016, like we did in 2012 and 2008, we have only ourselves to blame for the collapse of the Biblical-based culture in America. You, His under-shepherds, must lead the way for the spiritual resurrection of America.
No one believes, as Chuck Colson said, that the Kingdom of God is going to arrive on Air Force One. But somebody's values are going to be represented in the public square, and we must engage the culture with men and women of Issachar who "know the times and know what to do." (1 Chronicles 12:32)
This message was being shared Thursday morning with 100,000 pastors around the country.
3 Reasons Why you should read Life in the Spirit. 1) Get to know the Holy Spirit. 2) Learn to enter God's presence 3) Hear God's voice clearly! Go deeper!
