Can We Put the 'Trump Encourages Anti-Semitism' Narrative to Bed Now?

BOB ESCHLIMAN  CHARISMA NEWS
The FBI made an arrest Friday in its ongoing investigation into anti-Semitic threats targeting Jewish Community Centers in the U.S.
Agents arrested Juan Thompson, 31, in St. Louis. He is alleged to have made at least eight bomb threats and is accused of cyberstalking of an ex-girlfriend. You won't believe what he did for a living, though.
Wait for it ...
Thompson was a fake-news-spewing anti-Trump activist with communist tendencies.
At the onset of the 2016 presidential race, Thompson was a reporter for The Intercept, a left-of-center "adversarial journalism" online media outlet that focused much of its attention on documents leaked by Edward Snowden. He was fired in February of 2016 for literally making up the stories he was writing for the publication.
As The Intercept's editor, Betsy Reed, put it:
Thompson fabricated several quotes in his stories and created fake email accounts that he used to impersonate people, one of which was a Gmail account in my name.
An investigation into Thompson's reporting turned up three instances in which quotes were attributed to people who said they had not been interviewed. In other instances, quotes were attributed to individuals we could not reach, who could not remember speaking with him or whose identities could not be confirmed. In his reporting, Thompson also used quotes that we cannot verify from unnamed people whom he claimed to have encountered at public events. Thompson went to great lengths to deceive his editors, creating an email account to impersonate a source and lying about his reporting methods.
Apparently, he didn't learn his lesson the first time. In fact, he ramped it up with his anti-Semitic attacks. The FBI's criminal report states that threats to the JCCs by Thompson were made under both his name and the name of his ex-girlfriend, and that they were made both by email and phone calls.
After dozens of JCCs received bomb threats, which began shortly after President Donald Trump's election, liberal groups and the compliant mainstream media attempted to paint his victory as the cause. And, when the president suggested these attacks could have been caused to make someone look bad, he was ridiculed.
"Sometimes it's the reverse, to make people—or to make others—look bad," he said. The comment, despite his condemnation of anti-Semitism during his speech to Congress this week, was slammed by liberals.
But now it seems, once again, he was right.

Mass Graves Found Under Church-Run Orphanage

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

The remains of babies, ranging from new-born to three-years-old, have been found in the sewers of a former church-run home for unmarried mothers in Ireland, the government said on Friday.
A report from an inquiry the government ordered in 2014 backed up a historian's claim that up to 800 children may lie in an unmarked grave at the home. It said: "significant quantities of human remains have been discovered in at least 17 of the 20 underground chambers which were examined."
Radiocarbon dating found the remains, which ranged from 35-week-old fetuses to 3-year-olds, dated from between 1925 and 1961, when the home was run by the Bon Secours Sisters.
The inquiry was launched after a local historian said there was evidence of an unmarked graveyard at the home, where records showed almost 800 children died between 1925 and 1961.
The church ran many of Ireland's social services in the 20th century, including mother-and-baby homes where tens of thousands of unmarried pregnant women, including rape victims, were sent to give birth.
Unmarried mothers and their children were seen as a stain on Ireland's image as a devout Catholic nation. They were also a problem for some of the fathers, particularly powerful figures such as priests and wealthy, married men.
Government records show that in the 1930s, '40s and '50s, the mortality rate for "illegitimate" children was often more than five times that of those born to married parents. On average, more than one in four children born out of wedlock died.
In 2014, the Archbishop of Dublin said that "if something happened in Tuam, it probably happened in other mother-and-baby homes around the country." The commission is investigating 17 other church-run institutions.
Ireland's Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katherine Zappone said Friday's news was "sad and disturbing," adding that the commission of inquiry would work with local authorities to investigate further and decide what should happen to the remains.
The commission did not say how many babies' remains were recovered or how many might still be buried in what are believed to be the home's sewage and/or waste water treatment system.
Ireland's once powerful Catholic Church has been rocked by a series of scandals over the abuse and neglect of children. The Archbishop of Tuam said in 2014 he was horrified and saddened by the historian's discovery.

Shabbat Inspiration

Did you know that the Prayer Shawl is made up of two components; the garment and the fringes (in Hebrew, tzitzit). The garment which surrounds the worshipper represents God who is constantly surrounding each and every one of us. The fringes hanging off of the garment are composed of a series of 613 knots. These fringes serve as a reminder of the 613 Biblical commandments. For these reasons, wearing a tallit is the ultimate way to heighten your prayer experience and connection to God. The Israel365 Store is proud to introduce our collection of Israeli-made prayer shawls so now you can connect to God in this special way each and every day.

Do You Know How to Wear a Tallit?

A tallit, the Jewish prayer shawl, is an integral part of the morning prayer service, and a commandment in the Bible. How do you do it? Find out right here, with Rabbi Steven Exler!

God’s Grace Descends Upon Southern Israel as Rain Revives Eilat Desert

The city of Eilat was hit by a sudden end-of-season storm, bringing massive amounts of rain and hail that shut down the airport and stranded travelers. This sudden drenching is a last minute blessing, helping the desert bloom.

New Star of David Designs

The Bible teaches us that God created the world in six days and that on the seventh day, He rested. The Star of David is composed of 6 small triangles which can all perfectly fold into the center hexagon. Jewish tradition teaches us that during the first 6 days of the week, we should remain focused on and preparing for the sanctity of the Sabbath. No matter what business we have on the other days of the week, we should always remember the holiness of Shabbat. Check out our Star of David Collection!

Outraged Parents Band Together to Take Action Against LGBT-Pushing Disney
ONE MILLION MOMS  CHARISMA NEWS  March 2, 2017
The Star vs. the Forces of Evil episode featured a scene at a boy band concert where several people, including same-sex couples, kiss on cue with the music. The gender of various other kissing couples in the crowd is not always visible.
Though this is the first on-screen same sex PDA, Disney has included a homosexual relationship in its TV show Good Luck Charlie.
Disney has been under pressure from the gay community to portray openly gay relationships in its TV shows and movies. And last fall, the creators of Moana mentioned in an interview with a liberal media source that they wouldn't rule out an LGBT Disney princess. Director Ron Clements said, "It seems like the possibilities are pretty open at this point."
There's also word the new Beauty and the Beast will include a gay story line—between LeFou and Gaston. "LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston. He's confused about what he wants," director Bill Condon told Attitude magazine. "It is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie," Condon added.
This is the last place parents would expect their children to be confronted with content regarding sexual orientation. Issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, and it is becoming extremely common and unnecessary.
Disney has decided to be politically correct versus providing family-friendly entertainment. Disney should stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda. Conservative families need to urge Disney to avoid mature and controversial topics.

Worship Leader, Songwriter and Cancer Survivor Darlene Zschech Declares, 'Here I Am, Send Me!' - DARLENE ZSCHECH CHARISMA NEWS

Worship Leader, Songwriter and Cancer Survivor Darlene Zschech Declares, 'Here I Am, Send Me!'

DARLENE ZSCHECH  CHARISMA NEWS
For Darlene Zschech—speaker, author, pastor and worship leader who has written over 100 anthems sung by 30 million worshippers around the world—the concept of hope is not a concept at all. Hope has hands that serve the poor. Hope trusts even when the diagnosis seems grim. Hope says "yes," before the question is asked. As long as there is hope, there is life. And for this mentor of a whole new generation of worship leaders, as long as there is life, there is worship.
"Worship pushes back the noise of life," explains Darlene, who pastors Hope Unlimited Church in New South Wales, Australia, along with her husband, Mark. "In that place, we hear Him speak, we're made more like Him, we're satisfied in His presence, given the fruits of the Spirit. Over the years, I've had this sense that maybe this is really about the Great Commission. Once He has our hearts, then He has our lives. ... Worship has more to do with what comes from our lives, not just our mouths."
And much has come from this worship-filled life. Bringing hope and the love of Christ to the world has long been the calling for Darlene and Mark through their work within the Church and through relief agencies such as Hope:Global, an organization they founded to serve the poorest of the poor. The Zschechs believe that if our worship is to fulfill God's purpose, we must be willing to say, "Here I am, send me."
It is the answer and response that drives the entire Hope Unlimited congregation. And it is the overarching message for Darlene's latest recording, Here I Am Send Me, a live album and her first project following a life changing cancer diagnosis in 2014.
"The first mention of worship in the Bible is in Genesis 22," Darlene says of the impetus behind the title track. "God calls Abraham, and Abraham says, 'Yes Lord,' which is translated in Hebrew as hineni, meaning 'Whatever it is you're asking, my answer is yes.' Even before the ask, before anything, my answer is yes."
It's a scary proposition, this unreserved yes. But having received the power of the Holy Spirit, His healing and grace, there is no other response for this mother, grandmother and spiritual mother to countless others.
Here I Am Send Me begins appropriately with a full-on declaration of the greatness of God, written with Martin Smith (Delirious?), in response to the most challenging season of her life: You are great/Greater than the world has ever seen/Higher than the heavens over me.
"When I was at my sickest, Martin flew over from England to sit with us, sing songs over our church, and walk and talk with me and my husband, all the while speaking courage into us," Darlene says, her voice full of emotion recalling the dark days after her diagnosis of breast cancer that is now in remission. "It's week one of treatment, and you think you're going to die, and Martin said, 'Darls, I know you're going to want to write songs about this season. What do you want to say?' And I said, 'I want to say 'He is great!' That's where it started. ... In the midst of the fire, it doesn't change who our God is."
From there, she says, the album goes on a journey, always declaring God's greatness, love and call, and our response with 10 more songs penned by Darlene, members of her church and guest writers including Paul Baloche and Jenn Johnson (Bethel).
"You Will Be Praised," written with Baloche and Johnson on Darlene's first return to America after cancer treatment, unabashedly declares the power of the Holy Spirit living among us that makes fearlessness possible in every season and circumstance of life. It is, in many ways, Darlene's testimony.
Though I walk through darkest valleys / There's no fear for You are with me / You have held me through the fire / Jesus You are here with me. ... Through every storm You will remain / In death and in life I'll not be afraid / In joy or in pain You will be praised.
"I'm 51, and I never thought I'd be doing this at my age. There's such a freshness in me. In our culture, youth is almost worshipped. But there's something to be said when you've watched the faithfulness of God again and again and again. There's something to be said of the trust that grows over time."
"Beloved" a modern hymn of surrender co-written by Darlene with Leeland Mooring and Casey Moore, takes its cues from "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" penned by 17th-century hymn writer Isaac Watts. "Leeland had put it on his album, and it was beautiful. I wanted to record it but strip it back," says Darlene who recalls a sweet moment during the recording where the church began singing spontaneously as the team ended the song. "You hear the people start to respond. ... It's a really holy moment."
The album is full of such moments. But perhaps more than any of the aforementioned songs, "Here I Am Send Me" and "Go" encapsulate the heart and passion of this worship pioneer and her unequivocal yes.
Here I am send me / Send me to the nations / Send me to my neighbors / Send me with Your love.
"Go," a song of commissioning closes the album. "It can't be any straighter," Darlene says with a laugh. "In Ephesians, we get that sense of being commissioned into the world to share His love. I write about tribes, lands and neighborhoods. ... When you get in His presence, when you allow Him into the tough places, you rise knowing you must go and share it. His love is what is missing in the world."
Here we come now Your church / We will go to all the world / Every tribe every land / As Your feet and loving hands / To the rich to the poor / Grace is flowing for us all / Nothing missing nothing broken / He makes all things new / From the ash from the fire / There is hope there is new life. ... Tell the world lift Him high.

Israel Mourns Loss of Award-Winning War Photographer

03-02-2017  CBN News Tzippe Barrow

JERUSALEM, Israel – Israel lost one of its most beloved citizens, David Rubinger, who passed away Wednesday morning at his Jerusalem residence at the age of 92.
Born in 1924 in Vienna, Rubinger immigrated to pre-state Israel in 1939, just as the Nazi reign of terror was spreading across Europe.
His career as a photojournalist for TIME-LIFE magazine spanned nearly 50 years. He covered wars on the frontlines and at home photographed almost every Israeli prime minister, capturing them with their families and at work in the Knesset. He is the sole photographer to have his work on permanent display at the Knesset.

Pro-Life Women Organize an Alternative to 'Day Without Women' - BOB ESCHLIMAN CHARISMA NEWS

The feminists who organized the Women's March on Washington planned a general strike called "A Day Without Women," but now there's a pro-life alternative. (Reuters photo)

Pro-Life Women Organize an Alternative to 'Day Without Women'

BOB ESCHLIMAN  CHARISMA NEWS
When Catholic Lady Blog author Colette Zimmerman learned that the same feminist organizers who put on the Women's March on Women were going to launch a general strike March 8 called "A Day Without Women," she wondered if pro-life women could put together an alternative.
During "A Day Without Women," women are urged to stay home from work in support of causes like Planned Parenthood, abortion and same-sex "marriage." As an alternative to the pro-abortion feminists and their shockingly vulgar antics, participants in "Lady Day" will instead "go to work in an especially ladylike manner, in elegant and modest dresses, to go out to tea with friends and to do works of charity."
Zimmerman's idea took off almost immediately, becoming a nationwide phenomenon. Hundreds of small groups of pro-life ladies with come together Wednesday, March 8, to "celebrate the purity and goodness of true womanhood, which in turn, fosters higher moral standards in society and among children."
"What a wonderful idea!" Moriah Webinger of Chardon, Ohio said. "I have 15 women already signed up for tea—it is a treat really! We are also informing the local paper too."
"I want my daughters to be truly feminine; pure and good," Brenda Asso, a mother of nine from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, said. "Abortion! Never! Don't even think about it. It's contrary to our maternal instinct."
Marie Sallinger of Lafayette, Louisiana, added that Zimmerman's idea of celebrating true womanhood is "inspired."
"I understand the evils of feminism and want to do something about it," she said. I have many good Christian lady friends. And I'm so happy to celebrate this day as a lady."
The slogan of Lady Day will be "Pure Goodness at Work." Click here for more information on Lady Day celebrations in your area.
