Blind eyes opened and death defeated! - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr. Erez Soref, President of ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

Life is unpredictable, but the One we serve is faithful and true, an ever present help in times of trouble. Yeshua is all-powerful and stronger than death itself.

Yonatan, whose story you can watch below, discovered this for himself in a very profound way. I have known Yonatan since his childhood, and he came to study with us as part of the "Firstfruits" program at Israel College of the Bible. He is now continuing to study at Moody Bible Institute in the US, being further trained to lead and serve in the Kingdom of God.

We received another message lately, from someone who had come to faith about six months ago. She just wanted to get in touch and tell us about her decision. Here is what she said:

"Hi Moti, I've been watching your videos on YouTube and I want to say thank you!

You've opened my eyes.

I've been a believer for over half a year now, and I had some doubts but you've dealt with them all! Thank you!"

When asked how it happened, she said,

"My best friend is a believer, and she told me about her faith. So I started to investigate and read..."

What is exciting to see in these latest few messages is that it all started when an Israeli friend shared the gospel with them. This is what led them to investigate for themselves, and how they ended up watching our videos and reading the New Testament. It's so exciting to see not only are Israelis hearing and responding to the gospel, but Messianic young people here in Israel are boldly sharing their faith with their friends!

BACK TO BERLIN

Israel College of the Bible is sending another mission team over to Germany, this year to Berlin.
As in previous trips, the testimony of a group of Jewish and Arab believers, working together as one, is a powerful witness. They will be working alongside local churches, sharing the gospel, working with children and serving refugees.

Please pray for them as they hold out the word of life!

Are Miracles Possible?

Whoever believes God created the world won't find it hard to believe all that is said about Him in the Bible. If God is capable of creating the universe and everything within it, miracles such as the parting of the Red Sea, water coming out of a rock, or a virgin pregnancy should be no problem for Him. After all, there's nothing that God cannot do. In the New Testament, when Paul the apostle is arrested for questioning regarding the miracles that happened around Yeshua and the disciples, he replied with the following question: "Why should it be thought incredible by you that God raises the dead?" [Acts 26:8] Continue reading...

Lazarus and Resurrection

Yeshua gives us a sneak peek behind the curtain of death in Luke 16:19-31. He tells a story illustrating the sobering finality of our eternal destiny - to everlasting life, or everlasting shame and contempt, as Daniel says. And the name of his protagonist? Lazarus. Through the example of Lazarus, both in explanation and live demonstration, it becomes clear that the Messiah does not merely know the way out of death, but that he is the way out. Continue reading...

More Than 100 Are Dead As The Worst Flu Epidemic In Years Sweeps Across The United States - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

This flu season is already off to a record-setting beginning, and many believe that it could ultimately be the worst that we have seen in decades.  In fact, it has been reported that if we stay on this current pace that this could truly be the worst flu season in more than 50 years.
As you will see below, the CDC is reporting widespread flu activity from coast to coast, and the death toll has already crossed 100.  Here in the United States, flu season usually begins in October and ends in May, and so we still have a long way to go before it is over.

Normally the mainstream media tries very hard to keep the public calm about these things, but even the Washington Post admits that we are having “a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad flu season”…
The nation is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad flu season.
Flu is widespread in 46 states, according to reports to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Nationally, as of mid-December, at least 106 people had died of the infectious disease.
Usually a flu outbreak is centered in one portion of the country, but this one is different.  According to the CDC, this outbreak is affecting the entire nation, and the number of cases climbed another 5.8 percent within the past week…
“Flu is everywhere in the US right now,” said Dr. Dan Jernigan, director of the CDC’s influenza branch. “This is the first year we’ve had the entire continental US at the same level (of flu activity) at the same time.” It has been an early flu season that seems to be peaking now, he said, with a 5.8% increase in laboratory-confirmed cases this week over last.
Most people that get the flu don’t die, but it is very important for all of us to understand that this is a very serious outbreak.

In California, things have already gotten so bad that some hospitals have started to run out of Tamiflu
California has been particularly hard hit, with at least 27 deaths of people under 65 attributed to the flu, according to reports. As the number of cases continues to climb there, hospitals are beginning to run out of Tamiflu, the anti-viral medication used to treat the illness.
If you live in an area where the flu is running rampant, it may be wise to avoid public areas for a while.  Unfortunately, the vast majority of us cannot do that.  Most Americans have work or school commitments that cannot be avoided, and the flu can often spread very rapidly in those environments.

Back during the bird flu scare a few years ago, some schools actually closed for a time, and we are starting to see that happen again.  For example, one school down in Texas had a “flu day” on Friday
A school in San Antonio will be closed Friday for a “flu day” amid an outbreak of influenza.
“While closed, our school will be launching a Super Clean of each classroom for the health of our faculty, staff and students,” San Antonio Christian School posted on Facebook.
Texas has been especially hard-hit by the flu this season, topping Walgreens’ Flu Index, which compiles data from prescriptions used to treat the virus’ symptoms.
Every year the authorities relentlessly promote the flu shot, but large numbers of people that got the flu shot this year are getting sick anyway.

Sadly, the flu shot is not likely to protect you from the very powerful strains of the flu that are dominant this flu season.  In fact, the experts are telling us that the flu shot was only “around 10 percent” effective during the flu season in Australia this year…
U.S. flu specialists say they won’t completely know how powerful this present season’s antibody is until the point that the season is finished. In any case, Australia’s experience recommends viability was just around 10 percent. In the United States, it is 40 to 60 percent powerful in a normal season. Immunizations are less defensive if strains are not the same as anticipated and if sudden transformations happen.
Hopefully everyone out there is stocking up on Vitamin C and echinacea.  We still have more than two months of winter left, and the spread of the flu appears to be accelerating.
If you do get sick, please stay home and don’t expose others.  Many of us like to try to battle through an illness, and in the process we can inadvertently share it with others.

Eventually this flu epidemic will pass, but for now we need to be smart as we weather this storm.

Rains of Blessing ✡ "I Will Grant Your Rains In Their Season" - Israel365

Rains of Blessing

The successful growth of Israel's crops, such as the wheat field pictured above, is a blessing from God, as it is He who Israel is dependent on to nourish the land. Israel does not have an independent body of water capable of sufficient irrigation. Rain can be a source of great blessing, but at the wrong times, or in the wrong amount, rain can also be a devastating curse.

How Billy Graham Inspired Martin Luther King Jr—And Vice Versa - CHARISMA NEWS

How Billy Graham Inspired Martin Luther King Jr—And Vice Versa

6:00AM 1/15/2018CHARISMA NEWS
Martin Luther King Jr. and Billy Graham are both revered today by many Christians as powerful preachers and men of God. But in the 1950s and '60s, their friendship was controversial among Graham's audience. Many white Christians turned on Graham for backing King. Graham said, "Now today, it's almost impossible for the present generation to understand what things were in those days and what it took to be that way: how many threatening letters we got and how many threats against my family as a result of the stand that we took at that time."

Psalm 118 is the Scripture related to the year 2018. This is not the year to be afraid. Confess it every day! Jewish watchers will be amazed by this message. "End Time is judgment on the wicked." Rev Steve Cioccolanti preaches bold predictions about the vindication of the righteous and judgment on the irreconcilable haters and liars in 2018. "Your oppressor is afraid of you." This glimmer of truth in a dark world is made possible by the Torah, the Messiah, and your generous support of Discover Ministries in Australia.

Austrians Face Jail Time for Waving Israeli Flag - CBN News Dale Hurd

Austrians Face Jail Time for Waving Israeli Flag

Three pro-Israel activists face fines and jail for waving an Israeli flag at an anti-Israel rally in Vienna.

Austrian police are seeking a €100 fine or two days in jail for each of the protestors who showed their support for Israel at a December 8 anti-Israel rally that featured anti-Semitic slogans and death threats against Jews.

The charge against them states the activists "showed an Israeli flag at a rally in an extremely provocative way and manner that was visible for participants at the rally and thereby produced considerable offense and provocation among the Palestinian protesters."

Anti-Israel protestors were reportedly yelling the Muslim battle cry to massacre Jews: "Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning," and "Death to Israel."

When the three pro-Israel counter-demonstrators unfurled the Israeli flag, a scuffle broke out with Palestinian demonstrators.  Police reportedly confiscated the Israel flag but permitted anti-Israel protestors to wave Palestinian and Turkish flags.

One of the activists, identified as "Matthias F." by Vice News, said the charge against them is "unbelievable. We simply held a flag." He said the men plan to appeal the penalty.

"It can't be that anti-Semitic slogans can be hollered and go unpunished while showing an Israeli flag is reason to be fined."

What This Man Saw in the Spirit Reveals the Life-Altering Power of Your Words - BLAKE HEALY CHARISMA NEWS

What This Man Saw in the Spirit Reveals the Life-Altering Power of Your Words

BLAKE HEALY  CHARISMA NEWS
There was a man who attended the same prophetic group I did when I was 13 and still coming to terms with my ability to see in the Spirit. We'll call him Chuck, since that's not his real name, and I don't think I actually know anyone named Chuck. So Chuck was a nice guy, but he was one of those people who always had something to say. Any time there was an opening for prayer requests, he had a list. Every time he prophesied, he did so at the top of his lungs. And whenever I entered into conversation with him it quickly distilled into a long description of his weekly woes. You all probably know a Chuck or two.
Despite the general liking I have for humanity as a whole, Chuck bothered me. I didn't hate him or anything, but I wouldn't have minded if he found another prophetic group. When I looked at Chuck in the Spirit, I saw cuts and scars all along his face. They were different lengths and depths each time I saw him. Sometimes there would be one long, deep cut from his nose down to his jaw, and he'd ask for prayer because his son was doing drugs again. Other times a thick, red scar would appear along his cheek, and he'd tell the story about his ex-wife for the third time. Sometimes there would be clusters of scratch marks spread all across his face, and he'd dissolve into tears talking about how life was just too overwhelming.
I used to say that when you see something in the Spirit, you understand it. This was never entirely true, because much of what I see is obscure and confusing. A truer statement is that "You recognize whatever you see in the Spirit." Though you may not fully understand it, there is a familiarity that comes when you see. Perhaps this is because even though we spend most of our attention on the physical realm, we exist in the spirit realm every minute of every day.
One week, while doing my best to ignore the bleeding slice that cut across his left eye, I was inexplicably drawn to a spot at the center of his chest. Though he was thoroughly clothed, I could see through his shirt to a dark bruise at the center of his sternum. It was no bigger than a golf ball and had dark blue and green rings emanating from a navy-blue center. As soon as I saw the bruise, a picture flashed through my mind.
I saw a little boy, no older than 10, crying with his chin pressed to his chest. The boy's father was standing over him, veins popping and eyes bulging—livid.
He grabbed the boy's chin and jerked it up, shouting, "Look at me!"
The boy cringed and cried all the harder.
Taking his hand off the boy's face, the father yelled, "You stop it! You stop that crying," punctuating the last three words with hard, two-fingered pokes to the boy's chest. "Nobody wants to hear you blubber on all day. You stop that now!" he shouted, with one final jab at the same spot.
I was never as bothered by Chuck after that. I felt as if I should say something to him, like there was a way to break the words that his father had thumped into his chest, but I never did. I was only 13, but even then it made me sad to see what one man's words could do. I imagine that if Chuck knew what his Father in heaven had to say about him, things would be quite different.
Wounds are, sadly, something I see on people all the time. I see them almost every day. Whether it's from your boss being disappointed with a project you put your heart into, your wife snapping at you because you forgot to pay the water bill or just another off-kilter look from that person you're trying to be friends with—we hurt each other. You can pretend it isn't there or that it didn't bother you, but you know if it did.
Not all wounds are the same, of course. Some fade away within hours; others heal into scars that never fully leave. And still others are not allowed to heal, festering into rotten gashes that corrupt muscle and bone. How these wounds affect you is, fortunately and unfortunately, entirely up to you. I've met people who have let one idle word drag them into a dark pit of unforgiveness, bitterness and self-pity, while others turn a past full of abuse and shame into a crown of glory by giving it over to the One who died to heal every hurt.
