There is an invitation being issued from heaven to those who are pursuing the tangible evidence of God's kingdom at work on the earth. The Holy Spirit is exhorting the church to come up higher, not just in prayer, but in practical application of the principles we hold dear. This invitation especially goes out to leaders who are being called up higher in their role of demonstrating the realities of sonship and kingdom authority.
Through a series of dreams in recent months, the Lord has highlighted several ways in which we as believers can partner with heaven in the fulfillment of God's plan in this kingdom age. His desire is to release the fullness of heaven's presence, power and reign to a world walking in darkness.
Prayer alone will not accomplish this. It must be accompanied by a tangible demonstration of those prayers in the lives of those who follow Christ (James 2:14). Even as many believers are engaging more in the public square, we are being reminded that any activism within our culture must be birthed out of prayer and intimacy with the Father. Anything less will only have short-term results and have no power to change the future.
These specific directives are ways in which the Lord is urging us to pray and intercede, but also to be that which the world so desperately needs:
Place Worship Before Administration
In one dream, I was shown a pastor who was handed a death sentence. However, the picture shown was this pastor lying on his back on his desk with his hands and face lifted towards heaven in worship and prayer. What he died to was the administrative expectations of his ministry and the myriad of details that needed attention. The Lord was urging this leader to place worshiping in Spirit and truth above the administration responsibilities that he carried.
In the days to come there will be much to administrate. As the kingdom advances, changes will take place that will require gifts of leadership to guide the church through the rocky transitions. However, we must not let our preoccupation to details, financial lack or seeming impossibilities to stop us from moving forward. In the dream, the pastor was dressed in blue, which often illustrates the spirit of wisdom and revelation. As we spend time in His presence and fix our eyes on Him, we will find heaven's solutions needed to administrate God's purposes with a supernatural grace that yields exponential results (2 Cor. 4:18).
Yield to Heaven's Sanctified Scalpel
In another dream, I was shown the "birthing" of the manifested presence of the Lord. However, this "baby" was still in its water sac and needed to be cut with a sterilized knife in order to breathe on its own. Even though it had technically been delivered, it was not yet ready to survive long-term apart from the cutting of fleshly tissue surrounding it in order for the waters to break forth.
Even as many have prophesied this "revival baby," I believe the Lord is exhorting us to allow the Holy Spirit to continue His refining and sanctifying work in us as believers. There can be no lasting move of the Spirit without a church that has been prepared to host His presence long-term. This means recognizing heaven's knife in cutting away things from our lives, both personally and corporately, in order for His Spirit to rule and reign. As we remember what this is unto, we can face any cross because of the greater joy that is set before us (Heb. 12:2).
Displace Ungodly Systems with Godly Courage
In this dream I was in a regional gathering where the Holy Spirit broke out through worship. As some of the pastors were beginning to engage with this move and exhort the people, another well-known leader who had a large denominational following, stopped them. He felt it was time to move on. His focus was not on the spontaneous move of the Spirit, but what seemed most familiar, safe and controllable.
Though many have spoken of religious spirits and demonic attempts to control believers, I felt the purpose of this dream went beyond simply recognizing the interference. What was needed was one of these pastors to take a stand for what the Spirit was doing. The fact was, there was more than one pastor who recognized this heavenly move. Had these pastors agreed together and spoken out, I believe this traditionally minded leader would have had to yield.
We need increased courage to take a stand for what we know is of God and we need to do it together. Prayer alone will not stop demonic systems. We must displace those influences by courageously speaking up and engaging with heaven. God will back us up if we back Him up (Luke 12:8).
Stay in the Right Covenant
The Lord highlighted some of these truths again through another dream. It was shown that the church had unknowingly gotten into a covenant with ministry instead of Him ("married to ministry"). There was an awakening that was happening to this reality, but a concern of how to make things right. Realizing that we had given our hearts to something else, we were now caught and looking for help to get back to our first love.
As prophetic voices and apostolic leaders continue to emerge, the Lord is reminding us of who it is that calls us and empower us. Our heart posture, mental preoccupation, and daily priorities must reflect a heart that is in covenant and agreement with Him first, above and beyond any ministry. Even "good things" can keep us back from the best things. As ministries and followings grow, let us remember to keep our lover first and foremost in our hearts and decisions in order to reap the fruit that can only come through our covenantal bond with Yahweh. We cannot allow any ministry to outgrow our love for Him nor give our hearts to lesser things (Matt. 6:19-21).
Bridge the Gap Between Mercy and Truth
One of the alignments that intercessors have been praying about is between generations. This current generation is a mercy-centered generation. The cry to love and accept others, and the passion for social justice comes from this heart to help and serve others. However, in many cases, righteousness and holiness often take a back seat. Then there is the previous generation who were taught to stand on godly principles and the truth. We hold a deep conviction for walking in truth at all costs, even if it means sacrificing relationships.
Both mercy and truth are characteristics of God's heart and purpose. However, we must bridge this gap, not only between generations, but between mindsets. Even our current political parties represent some of these differences. It will require a deeper understanding of the larger picture of God's heart in order to bring these two values together. There can be no true mercy apart from the righteousness of God. And, there can be no truth apart from God's unconditional love (1 Cor. 13:6, Eph. 4:15). If we are to see cultural changes and governmental policies change, it will require mercy and truth to walk together and bear fruit that only heaven can produce (Ps. 85:10).
This coming year, we are being invited to partner with heaven through our prayers and through our demonstration of kingdom values and character. Talk will only get us so far. Without the church modeling what the kingdom looks like, there will be no salt to draw the thirsty or hope to inspire the lost. As we continue to press into interceding for each other and this nation, may we remember to get outside our prayer closets and demonstrate to the world this glory we so passionately pursue.
"For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power" (1 Cor 4:20, ESV).

78 Percent Of Americans Are Living Paycheck To Paycheck – Including Many Government Workers Affected By The Shutdown Posted: 09 Jan 2019 Michael Snyder

Posted: 09 Jan 2019 Michael Snyder

In just a few days, this will officially be the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, and there is no end in sight.  President Trump is pledging that he will not sign any spending bill unless it includes funding for a border wall, and the Democrats are promising their supporters that they will never agree to a single penny for a wall.

This could be the confrontation that ends up defining Trump’s presidency, and whoever backs down now is going to look incredibly weak.  But the longer this shutdown lasts, the more painful things are going to become for the hundreds of thousands of federal workers that are going without pay, and for the hundreds of thousands of workers that are employed by government contractors that rely on business from the federal government.

You should never play a game of chicken with somebody that is crazier than you are.  In this case, it looks like both sides fully expect the other party to blink first, but the truth is that neither side is likely to yield any time soon.

So the days ahead are likely to be exceedingly painful for most federal workers, because just like the population as a whole, most of them are living paycheck to paycheck.

In fact, one survey found that 78 percent of American workers are currently living paycheck to paycheck…
Government workers are far from alone in feeling stressed about not getting paid. Nearly 80 percent of American workers (78 percent) say they’re living paycheck to paycheck, according to a 2017 report by employment website CareerBuilder. Women are particularly vulnerable: 81 percent of them report living paycheck to paycheck, compared with 75 percent of men.
As I have repeatedly stressed, living paycheck to paycheck is something that you do not want to do if at all possible.  When you live paycheck to paycheck, you are just one major disaster away from financial ruin.  For example, if somebody in your family has a major accident or a significant medical emergency, it can quickly render you completely destitute.
That same survey also discovered that 70 percent of all workers are currently in debt
Just more than 70 percent of all respondents say that they’re in debt, and a quarter of workers say they weren’t able to make ends meet at the end of every month of the past year.
If you are scrambling to make debt payments every month and you have no financial cushion to fall back on, then you have no room for error, and that is where most Americans find themselves today.

So for most federal workers, this government shutdown is not just an inconvenience.
According to Professor Paul Light, somewhere around 800,000 government workers are currently going without pay…
The shutdown has left approximately 800,000 federal workers in financial limbo. Around 420,000 “essential” employees are working without pay, while another 380,000 have been ordered to stay home, according to calculations provided to CNBC by Paul Light, a professor of public service at New York University.
Of course the mainstream media is going to be filled with sob stories from these workers for as long as this shutdown lasts.  For instance, CNN recently profiled the plight of TSA security officer Jessica Caraballo
The partial government shutdown that began December 22 left Caraballo and 420,000 other federal workers across the country forced to work without a paycheck. Two weeks have passed and dozens of families like the Caraballos have put their lives on hold.
“Rent is due, light bill, gas bill, my car bill is due the 26th,” Caraballo said. “I already got my last paycheck and there’s no paycheck to come.”
“I don’t know when we would be able to celebrate birthdays, when we would be able to get ahead,” she added. “This is a pushback.”
Without a doubt things are tough right now for families like the Caraballos, but what will they do when a real national emergency strikes?

As we watch all the chaos that a minor disruption has created, it should cause all of us to realize that any sort of a major disruption could be extremely catastrophic for most of the country.

The vast majority of us are deeply, deeply dependent on the system.  That is fine and dandy as long as the system is functioning well, but what if someday it stops functioning altogether?

For the moment, many government workers can just pile up more debt to get through this short-term crisis.  Of course many of them are already drowning in debt, and we just learned that U.S. consumer borrowing was up another 22 billion dollars during the month of November.

However, if this shutdown lasts for another month or two, the mood of this nation is going to get quite sour, and that will especially be true once the food stamp benefits run out
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees SNAP at the federal level, is one of the agencies unfunded during the partial government shutdown. USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue announced Tuesday that SNAP would be funded through February, thanks to the funding bill that expired on Dec. 22, which included a provision allowing federal agencies to make obligated payments to support certain programs for 30 days after its expiration date.
Can you imagine the uproar that we would see if 38 million people were suddenly cut off from food stamps?

I think that the left is counting on that as negotiating leverage if they need it. At this point we do not know how the political gridlock in Washington will end.  Today, President Trump walked out of a meeting with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi when Pelosi told him point blank that there will be no money for a wall.  At this point there does not seem to be any room for a compromise, and it will be politically disastrous for either side to back down now.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of government workers are going to be hurting, and the pain will intensify with each passing day.

The Double Meaning Behind This Ancient Prophecy - RON CANTOR Messiah's Mandate CHARISMA NEWS

Secrets Surrounding the Birth of Messiah, Part 6

There is a prophecy in Jeremiah where Rachel is weeping for her children. It is a strange word in the middle of a prophecy about Israel's restoration. Like so many prophecies (Isa. 7:14; Dan. 9:27, 11:31, 12:11), there was a current fulfillment and a future fulfillment: ""A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children, because they are no more" (Jer. 31:15).
In Hebrew, Ramah simply means "height," and there are dozens of cities and regions that have Ramah(t) in their names. The most famous of these is the Golan Heights, or in Hebrew, Ramat HaGolan. However, most scholars believe that Jeremiah was referring to an area five miles north of Jerusalem that served as a deportation center as the Jews were being exiled to Babylon. Exile was judgment. God's heart was broken, as, too, was Israel's faithful. We see the pain of exile in this most famous verse from Psalm 137:
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept when we remembered Zion. ... Our captors made us sing and our tormentors made us entertain, saying, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion."
How shall we sing the song of the Lord in a foreign land? If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill. If I do not remember you, let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth, if I do not have Jerusalem as my highest joy (Ps. 137:1-6).

Jeremiah depicts Rachel crying, even weeping, over her children who are taken away into captivity. But Matthew, who knew that Rachel's grave was in Bethlehem, reveals a deeper meaning.
Herod, the murderous king, was searching for the Messiah. He was scared this newborn Israelite king would dethrone him. He did not know that His kingdom was from another realm (John 18:36). Seeing the prophecies that this boy-king would be born in Bethlehem, he "sent forth and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and the surrounding region, from two years old and under" (Matt. 2:16a). It was a devastating calamity—known as the Massacre of Innocents. Imagine little Jewish boys being ripped from their mothers' arms and murdered before their eyes.
Rachel is weeping over these children. And, amazingly enough, the name given to the hill overlooking Bethlehem where these children were murdered is Ramat Rachel—the Heights of Rachel. The people, who named it that, made no connection to Matthew's narrative, as they were Jews—not believers in the New Testament, and probably not very religious. They simply knew that Rachel's grave was in the near distance. But those same two words, Ramah(t) and Rachel, are in Jeremiah's prophecy.

The Kingdom Suffers Violence

The entrance of Messiah from heaven to earth was violent. There was war in the heavenlies that resulted in bloodshed on earth. Satan sought to snuff out the life of Yeshua and was merciless in his pursuit. God hid His plan within prophecies that the enemy could not understand. Matthew, who, of all the Gospel writers, is the most familiar with the Hebrew Scriptures, finds the fulfillment of Jeremiah's prophecy. He sees in Jeremiah 31 that the restoration of Israel is deeply connected to the advent of the New Covenant. "Surely, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah" (Jer. 31:31).
Just a few verses before, he sees Rachel weeping even as the New Covenant comes forth. To the common reader, the passage seems out of place. But, in truth, the violence against these babies is deeply connected to the declaration of a New Covenant.
But Rachel, whose tomb is near the place of Yeshua's birth, is weeping over the slain of Bethlehem, just as she did over the exiles of Israel. We see elements of the Exodus here, which begins with Pharaoh seeking to kill Jewish baby boys. Yeshua escapes to Egypt and then reenacts another part of the Exodus by coming from Egypt to the promised land: "Out of Egypt I called my son "(Hos. 11:1b). Maybe it is better said this way: Moses and the children of Israel were prophetically acting out what their Messiah would do many years later.
Matthew's discovery of the connection between 1) the restoration and Israel (Jer. 31:1-14), 2) Rachel's weeping over the babies in Bethlehem (Jer. 31:15) and the 3) New Covenant advent (Jer. 31:31-33) could only have been through the divine revelation!

Big Surprise: Hamas to Increase Gaza Violence to Cover for Its Incompetence - Ryan Jones ISRAEL TODAY

Big Surprise: Hamas to Increase Gaza Violence to Cover for Its Incompetence

Wednesday, January 09, 2019 |  Ryan Jones  ISRAEL TODAY
Israeli officials cited by local media said that they expect an escalation in violence along the Gaza border this coming weekend as Hamas attempts to divert attention from its ineptitude in governance.
A previous escalation in Gaza rocket attacks and border skirmishes in November was followed by many weeks of relative calm. Israel responded by facilitating the transfer of financial aid from Qatar to the cash-strapped Gaza Strip in hopes that Hamas would use the money to ease economic woes and further deescalate the situation.
But trusting in an unrepentant terrorist organization to behave in such a way was probably a bit short-sighted.
Instead, Hamas used the Qatari cash injections to allow its own higher-ups to resume their lavish lifestyles, leaving much of the Gaza population wondering why the hell they ever voted these clowns into power. (Yes, Hamas militarily seized control of Gaza, but only after winning a firm majority in parliament in the last Palestinian legislative election in 2006. And Jimmy Carter himself said those were free and fair elections, so who are we to argue?)
Doing what despots do, Hamas wants to get the people thinking about something other than how the group's top leaders are sitting pompously prosperous even as the coastal enclave's economy tanks.
According to Gaza sources, Hamas is looking to renew flaming kite and balloon bomb attacks (good luck with that under current windy and rainy weather conditions), as well as mass attempts to breach the Gaza security fence and assault nearby Israeli villages.
That should keep the people busy.
And so, on Tuesday, the verbosely-named "Supreme National Authority for the March of Return and Breaking of the Siege" urged the Gaza public to get themselves to the border fence on Friday for a little rumble with the IDF.
Just to make sure it's a full-featured event, Hamas also reportedly met with the heads of the "kite unit" and the "tire unit" (seriously, who comes up with these names?) and begrudgingly gave them some of their caviar money to, well, buy more kites and tires to set on fire.
Unfortunately for Hamas, the world is tiring of this story. So, unless the terror group can bring something new to the party (and Israeli forces are doing everything in their considerable power to ensure there are no surprises), any confrontation that does materialize is likely to be quickly forgotten, if not ignored altogether.
PHOTO: If the flaming kites and balloon bombs don't do the trick, Hamas has threatened to unleash its new jihadi boy band. (Abed Rahim Khatib/ Flash90)

WALKING WITH GOD - Pastor Abel Oyewale from Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel and wife Margaret from Nigeria

WALKING WITH GOD
Pastor Abel Oyewale
Nigeria, West Africa

"And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Genesis 5:24

Psalm 24:3-4, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully."

Galatians 2:20-21, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

MESSAGE

One of the original plans of God for man is for man to continually have fellowship with Him. This is the reason why He created man to be like Himself. Genesis 1:26 says:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

The Bible further reveals in the second and third chapters of Genesis that after creating man, God fellowshipped with Him until this divine relationship was bungled through sin. Genesis 3:8 says:

“And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.”

From this verse of Scripture, it is evident that God came down to take a walk with His beloved image carriers, but sin came and destroyed their fellowship. The interesting thing is that God is still interested in walking with as many as would determine in their hearts to pay the price of godly living, just like He did with Enoch (Genesis 5:24).

So, how can we walk with God? The answer lies in the instruction that God gave Abraham in Genesis 17:1, “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”

We see from this verse that it was God Himself who appeared to Abraham. In other words, we cannot discover God by our personal efforts. You cannot search for the Almighty God through religion; you only discover Him when He reveals Himself to you (Matthew 11:27, John 6:44, John 15:16).

Another lesson is that living a holy life can never be compromised as the condition for walking with God. Immediately God made Himself known to Abraham, He declared holiness as the term on which they could walk together. This is why I am so addicted to the teaching of holiness.

Under the New Testament, to walk with God as a Christian requires experiencing what Paul describes in today's Bible reading, wherein you must allow your old Adamic nature to die on the cross of Jesus Christ. That disobedient heart that yearns for its own way, influenced by the old serpent, must be circumcised to bleed to death while you are infused with the new life that flows in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Then and only then can you have a blessed and successful walk with our Maker.

Be ready for His presence bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

May our good God of Israel bless you and your house in Jesus Christ Name.

Shalom,

Pastor Abel S Oyewale
