Pam Tebow: The Motivating and Miraculous Power of a Woman's Influence

SHAWN A. AKERS  CHARISMA NEWS
Pam Tebow wants women to know they have the God-given power to influence lives—no matter what age they are. They don't have to listen to the devil's lies any longer.
When her mother turned 70 and questioned the value of her life's accomplishments, Tebow helped change her mother's mindset and convince her of her worth. When her mother died 16 years later, she knew she had made a difference. That's only one story of Tebow's sphere of influence.
While in college, she realized she needed to know and learn God's Word to impact others. Once the Bible became a part of her, she knew she could impact others, including the character of her five children. Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, Pam's son, credits his mom's teaching as the key to his success.
The ripple effects of a woman's influence, Pam Tebow says, can extend far beyond anything you can imagine.
"We're all in different seasons of life and have different opportunities," Tebow said on a recent episode of "Charisma Connection." "No matter whether we're young or old, we still have the opportunity, as long as we are still breathing, to have a positive impact on the people around us.
"We all want a reason to wake up and have something to look forward to that's bigger than just starting a job or a class or our home environment. We want a reason to keep on keeping on. The purpose of influence gives us that reason."
For more of Pam's story and to learn how you too can be a woman of influence, listen to the podcast below.

Prophetic Sign? Latter Rains Raise Sea of Galilee Water Levels - UNITED WITH ISRAEL CHARISMA NEWS

Sea of Galilee (YouTube/i24NEWS English)
Weather that is seemingly more characteristic of Israeli winters has spilled into April.
The good news is that this means rising water levels for Lake Kinneret, which is another name for the Bible's Sea of Galilee and the country's only freshwater source, according to the Environmental Protection Ministry.
Lake Kinneret has risen 15 centimeters since Thursday and is now 316 centimeters below its maximum level, says the Globes business news outlet, citing the Israel Water Authority. According to this report, the lake is likely to fill up completely as the heavy snows melt on the peak of Mount Hermon through the spring.
The lake had in recent years reached dangerously low levels.
Weather forecasters say that this has been an especially wet winter after several years of much smaller amounts of rainfall and even drought. Most of all, it helps the Israel's water supplies and the livelihood of farmers. However, hikers have also benefited from the tremendous amount of colorful vegetation throughout the country.
The many previous dry winters prompted Israel to construct desalination plants.
Israel currently has eight plants, with the plant in Hadera, a city in the Haifa area in the north of Israel, being the largest seawater desalination plant in the world, according to Interesting Engineering. In 2015, 50% of Israel's water for households, agriculture and industry was from desalination, it says.
Still, experts say that desalination does not solve all of the problems caused by a lack of rainfall and even with conservation, so that Israeli authorities are relieved by the plentiful supply of precipitation this year.
With Passover and then summer vacation approaching, the rains will stop, but the benefits will remain amid hopes that the trend will continue in future winters.

Museum of the Bible Announces Major Exhibition on Science and the Bible to Premiere in 2020
04-03-2019
CBN News Steve Warren
The Museum of the Bible has announced plans for a major, year-long temporary exhibition that will allow visitors to explore the relationship between science and the Bible.
Located in Washington, D.C., the museum announced Wednesday the project will be funded by grants from the John Templeton Foundation and the Templeton Religion Trust. The exhibition is scheduled to open during the summer of  2020.
The multimedia and thematic experience will examine how people have turned to science and the Bible to answer the fundamental questions of existence using artifacts from both the museum's collection and on loan from institutions around the world.
The museum is working with an international advisory panel of over a dozen scientists and scholars to develop the content and associated educational programs. By exploring historical interactions between science and the Bible, this exhibition will shed light on contemporary debates and foster a greater understanding of the shared curiosity about our world that stimulates both scientific inquiry and biblical interpretation.
Past discoveries such as Copernicus' heliocentric model, Newton's laws of motion, and Darwin's theory of natural selection, along with current topics like the origin of the cosmos and the debate surrounding the ideas of life and health, will be featured.
Through artifacts, interactives and design features, past explanations and the ever-evolving relationship between science and the Bible will be explored with these six questions:
  • How did it all begin?
  • What keeps the universe running?
  • Are we different from animals?
  • What are we made of?
  • Where are we going?
  • Are we alone?
"Museum of the Bible is honored to be in partnership with the prestigious Templeton Foundation on this ambitious project," Museum of the Bible President and CEO Ken McKenzie said in a press release. "In keeping with the museum's intent to cater to all learning styles, this exhibition will not only be informative but engaging. Through this exhibit and accompanying initiatives, we hope guests will leave with a deeper appreciation for humanity's shared curiosity in the big questions that ultimately inspire both scientific inquiry and biblical exploration."
In addition to the exhibition, the museum will host speaker programs and academic conferences, create educational materials for classroom use, organize a travel exhibition, and produce an online exhibition.

A Huge Church-Quake Is Coming. Are You Ready?

DR. DOUG STRINGER  CHARISMA NEWS
When trouble comes, we need to know we stand on the unshakable foundation of our faith. Sadly, many Christians today falter in their faith because they lack biblical literacy and a love for truth. First John 4 tells us we must be instructed by the Word so we may discern between truth and error.
Since the late 1980s, God has been speaking to me about a shaking that is coming. My heart aches at all the callousness and brokenness we see today, in both our society and parts of the church. It reminds me of what Paul described in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11, that those who refuse to love the truth will be turned over to deception and strong delusion. May our hearts be awakened before we slide down a slippery slope.
Hebrews 12:6, 27-29 encourages us that the Lord disciplines those He loves, and that everything that can be shaken will be shaken so the unshakable kingdom remains. More than ever, I sense an urgency to dig deeper in consecration and higher in expectation in the Lord, clinging to the truth, as every institution we have placed our hopes upon, sacred and secular, is being shaken.

The Lord is searching throughout the church with lamps of His Holy Spirit and shaking up those who are settled in compromise and complacency (Zeph. 1:12). By the light of the Holy Spirit, God is searching out the dross and rubbish in our lives to purge and refine us in preparation for the days ahead.
If we take a look at the spiritual and political climate during the days of King Herod, the similarities are uncanny. When given a choice between Jesus and Barabbas, who was a robber and thief, the crowd was swayed to choose Barabbas. They rejected the truth standing right in front of them and cried, "Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" (John 19:6b).
It's easy to become skewed in our walk because we become skewed in our thinking, just like the crowd who chose Barabbas. The challenge for the church today is to identify what choices we are making that contradict truth, righteousness and justice. These decisions will end up clouding our discernment and judgment.
God has given us periods of peace and prosperity so we can be a blessing to the nations—but many have chosen not to rely on God or rightly steward the resources He has provided. Instead of choosing His way, they have followed the way of the world. But while men reach for thrones to build their own kingdoms, Jesus reached for a towel to wash men's feet.
In his second letter to Timothy, Paul expresses deep concern that many who profess to know the truth will turn away from it to embrace myths. But 2 Timothy 4:5 encourages us to make sure we are not disheartened or discouraged by this and instead to keep our focus on the Lord and His work.
Jude provokes and challenges us to be spiritually fit to contend and do battle for the truth. Only those who are spiritually prepared, grounded and in shape can effectively respond to the spiritual and moral battles of the day.
There is a battle today for the heart of the church and the soul of a generation. We need individual heart awakenings that become a corporate church awakening if we are going to see any lasting healing in the soul of our nation. If our nation's broken foundations are to be fixed, then we, the church, must awaken our hearts and get back to our spiritual moorings and biblical principles. Psalm 11:3 says, "If the foundations are broken, what can the righteous do?"
The Lord's discipline always begins with His own and in the house of the Lord. When the shaking comes, only those things that are part of the unshakable kingdom can withstand and remain. Psalm 112:1-6 (NIV) promises that "those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands. ... Surely the righteous man will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever."
Acts 4 is also an encouragement to us; the early church was threatened against speaking the truth of the gospel. Instead of bowing to the threats, they asked God for strength and boldness to persevere in the truth. God sent them a shaking, but in this one, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and boldness (see Acts 4:31).
Keep hold of the truth and keep focused on what God has called you to do to bring positive change. The shakings are coming! And revival will come too, whether by choice, circumstance or consequence. Throughout history, the church has always grown through times of challenge. May we keep our focus on the Lord as these shakings produce a great harvest.
