Do Not Be Silent - Morris Ruddick

Do Not Be Silent - Morris Ruddick

Do Not Be Silent

Despite Elijah fearing for his life at the cave … God instructed him to resume his assignment.

God’s command? GO!

It followed one of the boldest and most dramatic exploits of judgment performed at the hand of one of God’s servants.

Calling down the fire was only the prelude. Closely following was the execution and elimination of the wicked priests, whose vile practices were at the core of the spiritual seduction of Israel. Yet, despite the intense drama, the spiritual shift released was not complete.

This resumption of Elijah’s assignment is what needs to be seen when discerning the process/ the response to Israel’s October 7th Massacre and the Global Intifada that have erupted since that time. Despite the accomplishments in conducting a war on seven fronts, the shift is not yet complete.

There is more, proactively more being required as Jew and Gentile are mobilized on a grand-scale.

For all his protests in the cave, the Lord ignored Elijah’s desire for a safe place and sent him back ….. to put in place the follow-up to the removal of the prophets of Baal and Asherah after calling down the fire.

That command involved setting things up for the next generation. It began with: “And the LORD said to him, ‘Go, return to the wilderness of Damascus. And when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria. And Jehu you shall anoint to be king over Israel, and Elisha you shall anoint to be prophet in your place.’” 1 Kings 19:15-16

Indeed, something viral is being released from the heart of God advancing the judgment that will transcend the generations. So Elijah went. He fulfilled that task … and went on to grapple with more immediate power skirmishes and judgments contained within his own time-line.

Strategically, that command from the cave contained the judgment that would decimate the deep roots of embedded, wicked leadership. It included Ahab falling at Ramoth-Gilead and Elisha serving as the final agent in the chain of those destroying the House of Ahab and worshippers of Baal.
”The one who escapes from the sword of Hazael shall Jehu put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha put to death.” 1 Kings 19:17

The Eruption of Entrenched Entanglements
So, these entrenched trans-generational entanglements were targeted in the Lord’s command to Elijah at the cave. So will be the impact of words imparted by Daniel, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Jesus and John the Revelator regarding the eruption of deep-rooted entanglements bearing on what manifested on October 7 and the more recent heartless murder of the two Israeli embassy staffers.

There is a distinct demarcation between God’s sacrifice in His love to woo the world and the separation of the sheep and the goat nations to judge the ingrained wickedness erupting globally.

From the sharp command to Elijah at the cave to the sequel of backlash being experienced by Paul, came another command, pertinent to the response we now face with the seeming amassing eruptions of wickedness and clamor.
“Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent, for I am with you and no man will attack you in order to harm you, for I have many people in this city.” Acts 18:10-11

The Response: Do Not Be Silent
Do not be silent …. for I have many people in this city. Do not be silent …. for many people will be awakened. Many will be mobilized.

Trans-generational judgment begins with the simplicity of obedience. Do not be silent. Wickedness must be called out for what it is. God’s judgments begin with a track record of cooperative efforts with His people.

That means embracing the standard of our identity in Him. Many years ago, my wife and I were in Minsk, Belarus for one of our workshops. The timing coincided with the sixtieth anniversary of the 1943 German slaughter of 4000 Jews from the Minsk ghetto.

In remembrance of this travesty, we were privileged ….. wearing yellow arm-bands as had the members of the ghetto …. as we marched across the city with the Jewish community.

As believers, we’ve reached a time …. a time of not being silent ….. a time of identifying with the Jewish community and Israel. Embracing the common ground of our spiritual heritage. Taking a stand against the wicked, perverse voices erupting in our cities. The wicked voices calling black white and white black. Voices of perversion proclaiming peace, peace …. despite the reality of the underlying death and destruction being promulgated.

Raising righteous voices to awaken the many people the Lord has in these places.

The Embedded Death-Cult
The setting today is not unlike the assignment the Lord entrusted to Elijah targeting the death-culture nurtured by Ahab and Jezebel …. and the Minsk ghetto slaughter …. and the death-cult that has been given voice globally in this hour …. penetrating seats of power. Isaiah took a stand and would not be silent, using his authority to strip back the voice of the death-cult penetrating the leadership seats-of-power in his day.
“Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers, who rule this people in Jerusalem! Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter.’” Isaiah 28:14-15

The Accounting
The back-story during the days of Elijah is about those whose blood had been shed because of their stand for the Lord. The Lord has always had an accounting for the manifestation that the death-cults have had on His people. It is no different today with the Messianic Jewish couple martyred for their identity in Washington on May 21st.

When conditions align with God’s people taking their identity-stand …. not being silent …. then as one, they can with authority resonate the cry of the Psalmist:
“Oh God, do not be silent and do not be still. For Your enemies make an uproar and those who hate You exalt themselves. They make shrewd plans against Your people. They conspire together against Your treasured ones. They say, ‘Come, let us wipe them out so that the name of Israel be remembered no more.’ They conspire together with one mind. Against You they make a covenant. O my God, make them like the whirling dust. Like the fire in the forest, so pursue them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your storm. Fill their faces with dishonor that they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord, are the most High over all the earth.” Psalm 83:1-5, 13-18

The Courage Needed for Times of Change
Understanding the times, to know what to do. That’s the focus of SIGN. Prophetic forerunners with the courage to take a stand and push back from what overwhelms …. to pause sufficiently to catch the glimmers and in simplicity and obedience, do their part.
“For judgment I have come into the world, that those who do not see may see and those who see may be made blind. He who does not receive my words has that which judges him, the word that I have spoken will judge him.” John 9:39, 12:48

Why do I go to Israel so much? Steve Martin, Love For His People

Meal in Abu Ghosh (5 miles west of Jerusalem) with friends.

Why do I go to Israel so much?

I have been to Israel 29 times (as of May 2025) since 1989 (36 years now) and have been asked the question, “Why do you go so much?”

My simple, quick response is, “Because I want to visit my friends, to encourage and support them in their Land.”

And then they typically ask, “But couldn’t you take that money instead (i.e., $1500 for a plane ticket, another $1,500 for lodging, food, transportation, etc., for 10 days) and send it to them for needs they have?”

So I ask them, and now you (if you similarly think as they do)…

Do you give your spouse, kids, or friends just money, for their needs, and never actually be with them, to eat with, talk with, in person, or do things enjoyable together? Are your relationships built on money only?

I have thought about how Yeshua (Jesus) walked from the Galilee (in northern Israel) to Jerusalem (central Israel in Judea) on several occasions during His earthly ministry. For one reason, among others, to be with His friends. Lazarus, Mary, Martha, and more who lived in that area.

Have you ever walked the distance between Capernaum, His Galilee base, and Jerusalem (125 miles on foot, taking at least 30 hours one way, while climbing the hills all along the way? Could not Yeshua just send money on someone’s donkey and let it be at that?

He didn’t have a car, nor an airplane option of course, but He did “pay the way” to go in person Himself.

His actions were about relationships. He encouraged people with words and in person, giving hugs, blessings, and meals together. True, faithful, long-lasting friendships were developed and maintained.

That is why I spend the money (my own) to go to Israel so often. (And at this time, our friends in Israel need our encouragement even more. You can talk the talk, but walking the walk is far better.

Rings of the Lord

I bought these rings in Jerusalem, Israel, two weeks ago. The ones who now wear them (my sister and her grandson) really like their rings. I bought all the Messianic One New Man rings David Saidian (my 84-year-old friend Abraham’s oldest) had in his shop on Ben Yehuda Street, near Danny Boy’s shop and Uri’s.
I bought eight for $28 each. I didn’t want a discount, but he gave me one anyway. I am supporting my Jewish friends in Israel as much as I can.

Get Back On The Boat - Steve Martin

“Get Back On The Boat”

“ Then, without warning, a furious storm arose on the lake, so that waves were sweeping over the boat. But Yeshua was sleeping.  So they came and roused him, saying, “Sir! Help! We’re about to die!”  He said to them, “Why are you afraid? So little trust you have!” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and there was a dead calm.” (Matt 8:24-26 CJB Complete Jewish Bible)

There has been a lot of rain in our state of North Carolina this summer. The local weatherman reported that the 12” above normal level has been the highest in the 75 years of their records. Cutting my grass between the falling bullets just hasn’t been working right, and I can attest to that fact.

As I drove in the pouring rain to my former boss’ house during the latest downfall to hear his wise counsel about book publishing, I was speaking to another on the cell phone. Flooding was occurring in her home. She conveyed that she felt she had been under spiritual attack lately, and the excess water was the latest incident, indicating that.

After listening for about 15 minutes, my response wasn’t just a quip to “come up with a quick solution,” as they say men do, so we can get on to being the answer to the next problem.

“Seems like you are in a lifeboat, connected by only a lifeline to the big boat. So get back on the boat.”

It wasn’t meant at all to be a pun, as the rain outside my speeding car might suggest, or as her house foundation continued to seep water through it. I believe I was moved by Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh (Hebrew). She really seemed to be hanging on, connected in her little raft on the mighty ocean, by a single lifeline. She needed to get into the boat, get on the ship, where the rest of the people were safely being cared for. I am speaking about the local body of believers.

Some of you may say, “I am connected,” as her response was.

What? You no longer belong anywhere as a member, due to some incident? But now you do watch your favorite TV teacher/preacher on TV? Or you have a long distance phone conversation with an older saint in your former congregation, and you call that “being connected?”

Explain that logic to me from the Scriptures, which basically commands we are to be “joined and fitted together” in His Body. As one would say, “How is that working out for you?”

Sometimes being direct, in your face, sharing tough love as James Dobson wrote decades ago, needs to be just that – a realistic look at where you are at, now and where He actually wants you to be, in experiencing His purposeful life.

We all have excuses why we can or cannot do something. If your spiritual, and possibly natural life depended on it, what is your excuse to just stay in your little raft? Does that hold water with Him?

If you are one floating in a raft, hanging onto to the Father Ship by a lifeline, I highly suggest you really ask the Father where you are supposed to be connected, and start pulling on the line in that direction.

The TV man or woman, or the cell phone person, won’t quite make it in the days ahead for you, when the real spiritual floods come. That hand extended through the airwaves can’t be the one you will need right at hand.

It is best to be connected, within a ship, with those the Lord intends for you to be connected with. He said so. It can happen.

Ahava (love in Hebrew) to my family of friends,

“El Gibor v’ El Elyon” (Mighty God, Most High) - King of Kings worship in Jerusalem, Israel

The Great Falling Away

Steve Martin, Love For His People

“Adonai said to Gid‘on, “I will use the three hundred men who lapped the water to save you; I will hand Midyan over to you. Let all these others go back home.”

(Judges 7:7-8 Complete Jewish Bible)

There is a great falling away coming from among those who once walked with the Lord. In fact, it has already started. For decades, it was “popular” to be a Christian. Not so anymore, especially when one considers the numbers who attend a weekly church service. Looking around any given Sunday morning gathering, and in most churches you will see mostly grey hairs; and they are dying off. Sure, there are those churches that are doing well among the youth, but that is an exception. We give thanks for them.

After a major crisis occurs in a nation, the pews do fill back up. But within a few months, or even weeks, the “Crisis Christians” no longer come around. It is back to normal as usual. (We may still have the “C & E” group – Christmas and Easter, but even those numbers are dwindling fast.)

The apostle Paul said that in the end of days there would be a great falling away. We are living in those times.

“Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 NASU)

Lest you become fearful, and wonder what is going to happen when so many are gone, let me share a little insight with you. It will inspire you in faith, I believe.

The Lord seems to allow for the reduction of numbers when He has a job that needs to get done. Unlike humans, more is not always better. As my good wife Laurie likes to remind me on certain occasions, “Less is more.” My accounting mind doesn’t always see it that way, but it is true.

Let’s look at a few instances in the Word of God, and see how the Lord chooses to accomplish His purpose, and achieve the final victory.

Take what happened when the Lord decided to flood the earth. He saved a remnant, Noah’s family of eight (Noah, his wife, three sons and their wives) and repopulated the earth with those alone. Looks like that worked.

And what about Gideon’s army, when it came time to defeat the Mideonites? Gideon took as many warriors as he had available, starting with 32,000. By the time the Lord had set up a few tests, the number was finalized at 300. With those remaining, the job got done. Victory was won.

Yeshua (Jesus) chose only 12 who would walk with Him for a little more than three years. Then He released them (even knowing one would be replaced by another) into the world. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, those twelve apostles changed the world.

Jesus also fed the multitudes, with very little. “All we have with us,” they said, “is five loaves of bread and two fish.” He said, “Bring them here to me.” After instructing the crowds to sit down on the grass, he took the five loaves and the two fish and, looking up toward heaven, made a b’rakhah (Hebrew – i.e. gave thanks). Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the talmidim (Hebrew – i.e. disciples), who gave them to the crowds. They all ate as much as they wanted, and they took up twelve baskets full of the pieces left over. Those eating numbered about five thousand men, plus women and children.” (Matthew 14:17-21, Complete Jewish Bible)

The Creator of the Universe can get the job done with very few.

What about the 144,000 in Revelation of Jesus (Revelation 7:4)? That sure is something to consider.

“I heard the count of those who were sealed: 144,000! They were sealed out of every Tribe of Israel: 12,000 sealed from Judah, 12,000 from Reuben, 12,000 from Gad, 12,000 from Asher, 12,000 from Naphtali, 12,000 from Manasseh, 12,000 from Simeon, 12,000 from Levi, 12,000 from Issachar, 12,000 from Zebulun, 12,000 from Joseph, 12,000 sealed from Benjamin.

(Revelations 7:4-8 THE MESSAGE)

There is a great falling away that is coming through the Christian ranks. It will remove the lukewarm as the Lord Himself is going to weed them out. I believe He will then emblaze the remnant with His Holy Ghost fire, and show the world Who is the King of kings and Lord of lords. In the process, millions during that time, yet to be saved for all of eternity, will come into His kingdom, gathered from all the nations.

Are you going to be one of the few? As the Marines would say in their motto, "Semper Fidelis", which translates to "Always Faithful" in Latin. I pray you are.

By His grace you will keep committed and stay faithful to the end. It is going to be a battle, but He wins. Stay on His side.
