"5779 Will Be a GOOD Year!"

We're in a very interesting season of transition in the world today. It may take every ounce of faith and patience you can muster to make it through. Many are cracking under the pressure. Don't let that be you.

Battling the World's Agenda

All around us we see strife, division, anger, and debate. We can't even turn on the TV to get a break. You can be watching a program to be entertained and help you get your mind off things, and the world and its problems slams you in the face there too. Everyone thinks they have to chime in and have their agenda be heard.

"It will be crucial to press in and know the time and season each of us as well as the world is in."

If you are trying to accomplish what God has spoken to your heart, you'll need to put on the whole armor of God. Don't let the toxic talk of others destroy your vision. You must rely on and trust God more than ever. If He told you something and it's not for the masses, share it with as few as possible. Thus you can avoid unnecessary conflict and maintain your peace and level thinking.

If a door closes, don't waste time hanging out and crying around it. Be joyful and believe God. He opens doors no one can close, so move on in faith and anticipation until you get to that open door. When you reach it, uncommon favor will surround you and cause everything you have need of to fall into place. So don't waste time moaning about the ones that closed.

5779/2019: A GOOD Year

We're going into the new year of 5779 (Rosh Hashanah) on the Jewish calendar (September 10th). Pay attention to your dreams from now until the official start of the new year Yom Kippur (September 19th). God will be revealing what He has ahead for you in them. (Photo via Unsplash)

We are still in the 5770s, and the number 70s is ayin. This is a time of being awakened and eyes being opened. The 9 in 5779 (and our upcoming 2019) is significant. It speaks of birthing, harvest, and fruitfulness. In the Jewish Torah, the nine is called tet. Tet is connected to the Hebrew word tov, meaning "good."

I believe 5779/2019 going to be a good year. It will be a time of birthing God's promises for you. It will be a time of recovery as you experience the harvest of your labors and a time of fruitfulness as you experience God's goodness. But in the process, you may also experience some warfare. Don't let the enemy get to you. Don't give up before you get to the open door God has for you. And don't stop short of it, accepting an Ishmael. Through faith and patience you will inherit God's promises to you. Trust Him, not the naysayers. Keep moving forward.

In 5779 Cultivate the "Nines"

Let the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, reign in and through you. Exhibit love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (see Galatians 5:22-23). As you do, His fruitfulness in your endeavors will abound.

The Church will begin to rise in greater measures in these fruits and we will also see an increase in the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues (see 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).

A Time to PRAY

"Don't let the toxic talk of others destroy your vision. "

The year that is opening to us is one of foundation and preparation for the year 5780 ahead. Start praying for it now. The number 80 is pey and means "pray." The world-wide prayer move will accelerate. Great prayer will be needed to make it through.

The sons of Issachar had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do (see 1 Chronicles 12:32). It will be crucial to press in and know the time and season each of us as well as the world is in.

Another pictograph of nine appears to be a coiled snake if you glance at it one way, or a woman's pregnant stomach if you look at it another. It's an interesting pictograph as it can represent both good and evil.

It will be a year of testing and transformation for us as we go through some of what's ahead. Will we crumble and become like the enemy? Or will we allow the testings to purify us and transform us to exhibit and birth the attitude and heart God desires?

We must remember that worship is our war-ship that overrides warfare. It brings confusion to the enemy's camp. Spending more time worshiping the Lord will be a strategic part of walking in victory this coming year and staying on top of the circumstances.

It's time to write down your passions and walk them out with the Lord no matter how "mature" you think you are as Joni shares:

I'm now in my early 60s and just graduated with a doctorate in theology last year. When I graduated high school in 1972, I wrote in my yearbook that I wanted to become a published author. I was 17. Some 46 years later, and my first book will be out this fall. A "suddenly" came for me after waiting many years for it to come to pass. We're in a time of "suddenlies" that have taken a long time to happen. But God has prepared us for this time and placed everything in order. It is a season in which those things are finally beginning to occur.

Being in my 60s myself, I feel I'm just getting started and getting my second wind. Now, Joni does write this as a word for women, however I encourage both men and women to read through this because both will benefit greatly with practical steps into your calling! "God is Redefining Your Future!"

A Mighty Throng

God is calling His Psalm 68:11 great company (army) of women forth for such a time as this. "The Lord announces the Word, and women who proclaim it are a mighty throng..." (Psalm 68:11).

God is redefining your future. There's more to life than what you've experienced. This time is for you. You've taken care of everyone else, and now it's time to take care of you. It's time to be equipped and activated into what you are called to – whether that means to utilize the gifts in everyday life or full-time ministry.

If you are discontent with your life, don't let it frustrate you. If you don't like you, change you! Only you can do it for you; you're the boss of you. If you are a more mature aged woman, you're in the midst of a change of life in more ways than one. You're now going to do that which you've waited a lifetime to do.

An Acceleration of "Suddenlies"

We're in a time of "suddenlies" that have taken a long time to happen. But God has prepared us for this time and placed everything in order. It is a season in which those things are finally beginning to occur.

"...So the service of the Lord was set in order. Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly." (2 Chronicles 29:35-36)

There's an acceleration of the "suddenlies" in this period. Acceleration means a change in velocity which means a change in speed, direction, or both. The power of God is showing up in services in amazing ways. It's a new day. Batons are being passed down to the next generation now as the elder mothers and fathers of the faith have been passing. Will you rise up and take yours? All we've been through and what's going on is causing us to become His Bride without spot or wrinkle.

Are You Bored or Depressed? You Don't Have to Stay There!

What is the greatest passion of your heart? Something you'd like to accomplish that you haven't yet done?

I firmly believe that the reason some people suffer from anxiety and depression is that they are not doing what they were meant to do. Often, they've been so down by the cares of life and convince themselves they don't even know what they'd want to do if they were given the freedom and finances to accomplish it. Life sometimes hands us a curve ball that we didn't expect and sends us reeling in an unexpected and even unwanted direction. But we don't have to stay there.

The important thing is to recognize you need to make a change. You can figure out what all that means along the way. What we don't want to do is to keep stuffing our feelings down and ignoring the situation. When that happens, we end up miserable and make everyone around us miserable as well.

I encourage those I mentor to take a piece of paper and write down these things:

1. A work history resume.
2. A spiritual resume of all the ways you've volunteered or worked in the church.
3. A list of the things you've overcome in life, whether it's smoking, a divorce, or more serious things.
4. An honest list of what you are most gifted to do. Don't be too humble. Be real.
5. What would you honestly like to learn? This can be a musical instrument, something artistic or crafty, flying a plane, or anything you'd have to go to school or take lessons for.
6. Write a bucket list of places you want to go and things you want to do before you die. Not because you're going to die – but because it's time to truly live.
7. Develop a vision board or scrapbook of pictures of the items in #5 and #6. The Word tells us to, "Write the vision and make it plain so that they may run who reads it" (Habakkuk 2:2-4).

Where is Your Passion and Authority?

Whatever you have a passion for you will do well in. Just go for it. Whatever you have been through, you have authority in. Those are key clues for you regarding the areas you are called to. If you are not doing what you are passionate for you will be unhappy. Change can be difficult, but it may be very necessary in order to move forward in the area that will give your life purpose and meaning. It's never too late. American folk artist Grandma Moses began painting as a successful artist at the age of 78. Sarah in the Bible had a baby in her 90s. You can birth that which you are called to no matter what age you are as well.

Never give up on your dreams. Never. As they say: "Where there is a will, there is a way."

Let's pray: Lord, thank You for the women that will read this. Help them to take hold of and run with what You've called them to do and to never give up. In Jesus' name, amen. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Also she challenges us to start preparing for the year 2020...already prophetic voices have said much will happen between now and then.

Joni shares:

20/20 is considered to be the best eyesight possible. I believe the Lord wants to release to us 20/20 vision for the year 2020, NOW. Let's not get caught up in the enemy's distractions and end up only having a "hindsight is 20/20" mindset. We need to pursue walking in the best state of mind and vision NOW, so that we are on time and on target for the year 2020 when it comes.

"In 2018: Challenge Yourself and Cast Your 2020 Vision"

We're one year into Trump's presidency this month, with three more to go. On a recent morning I heard, "It's time now to cast your 2020 vision." It was clear to me that this spoke of both the next presidential election, as well as our own personal vision.

I have also been hearing the words, "Challenge yourself this year."

I don't care what age you are, if you're breathing and reading this, you have a purpose to fulfill and you need to get on with it. I go to many places where people want another prophetic word, but they have not gone after the ones they have already received. Why would God give another instruction when we have not yet walked out the ones He's already released? Not only do we have prophetic words we've received to fulfill, but there are other words hanging out there to be given to us—once we are obedient to our previous instructions. Let's get busy.

I believe we are about to receive a huge booster thrust from Heaven to catch us up in that area (Joel 2:25), as well as to thrust us forward in preparation for 2020. But individually, the release of that 2020 vision depends on our obedience to what's already been revealed to us.

Faith without works is dead (see James 2:17). James said, "I'll show you my faith by my works" (James 2:18).

James 2:14 says, "What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?"

Now that's a good question. What good has it done to "keep believing for" something if you do nothing toward it? For example, if you "keep believing" that you are going to be a great piano player but you do not get a piano, take lessons or practice, it ain't gonna happen. And it's the same way with that stack of goals, dreams, visions and prophecies you've collected over the years.

It's time to challenge yourself to complete them and cast your vision for 2020.

2020 Election

If you think this last election was tumultuous, you ain't seen nothing yet. The Church must not waste one moment being complacent about the 2020 election. We must do everything we can between now and then to keep the ball rolling. The past one didn't happen by itself and the next one sure won't.

The Number 8

The number "8" is both in our 2018 calendar and the 5778 Jewish calendar for this year. "8" is the number for new beginnings, as well as unity. On its side, it's the symbol for infinity/eternity. What we do now can be of lasting, eternal significance for our children, grandchildren, and generations to come. So let's make our time here count.

Additionally, on its side, it appears as a pair of eye glasses, which represents restoration of 20/20 vision no matter what our visual impairments have been, spiritually speaking. That's a great promise for us this year.

Raise the Bar

Rick Joyner and my previous spiritual papa and prophet, Bob Jones, have both said, "Let our ceiling be your floor, so you can start out at a higher place than we did." Let's now raise the bar for our next generation, so they can achieve greater success than we have. This is both for our natural and spiritual descendants.

20/20 Vision for 2020

The Challenge

Challenge yourself. Do not waste time. It's time to achieve what God has promised us, and quit being deceived and wasting time by believing the lies of the enemy that we are not able. Again, this is both a word for us about preparing for the next presidential election, as well as our personal lives. They both go hand-in-hand.

• Challenge yourself by writing your vision, your goals, so that you may see them unfold and come to pass (Habakkuk 2:2-4).

• Challenge yourself by pursuing them.

• Challenge yourself by pushing yourself beyond your self-imposed limitations and excuses.

• Challenge yourself to achieve something specific every day this year. Write out daily goals and achieve them.

• Challenge yourself AND go for it. Whatever "it" is, you CAN and WILL achieve it. IF you go for it.

2020, here we come!

In a vision, I saw the 8 flop on its side, becoming a pair of glasses that the Lord handed to me to put on. As I did, I had a amazingly exceptional sight of both natural and spiritual activity. I heard, "Heightened 20/20 vision and power to see, declare, and release now that which will flow forth into 2020 and beyond."

"To Infinity and Beyond!"

We are in a time of awakening, even on the Jewish Calendar. We're in the 5770s, which are called Ayin. It means eyes opened (awake), and seeing more clearly than before. In order to be able to handle it all, we must understand some things so we can properly posture ourselves. As ministers of the Gospel, not only do we have to make it through, but we must be equipped and able to help the rest of the Body to do so without giving up.

We are experiencing what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24. Jesus warned us within those verses that because of lawlessness the hearts of many would grow cold (see Matthew 24:12). Webster's dictionary describes cold-hearted as marked by lack of sympathy or sensitivity, and some synonyms are: callous and heartless, as opposed to: being charitable, compassionate, merciful and warmhearted.

It's easy for those who deal with the public every day to become cold. We need to face the day and people with the love of God, looking for ways to spread His encouragement and hope. On Veterans Day, I went to the post office to get my mail, and of course the business side where they sell stamps was closed. A lady was coming in with two envelopes in hand and was very disappointed that it wasn't open. As I went to my car the Lord said, "You have stamps in your wallet. Make her day. Go give her what she needs." 

As I did, she lit up and even said, "You've made my day!" That may seem small, but our random acts of kindness become ripples on the pond. God is love. The Word says that they'll know we are Christians by our love (see John 13:35). Also it's His kindness that leads to repentance (see Romans 2:4). Simply holding a door for someone, smiling and speaking kind words, or doing some random act of kindness, can help rebuke and destroy that opposite spirit trying to raise its ugly self in someone's life.

Defining the Battle

"Those who have been passed over in times past shall now see a table set before them in the presence of their enemies."

What we are witnessing in the world is the spirit of antichrist beginning to appear more blatantly than ever before. It is not only anti-Christian, it is "anti-all" that Christ or the term Christian stands for. So there is great warning to us here that we, as Christians, not get caught up in its web.

"The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, and able to remove the enemy's strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). It's war. It's what they call a Cold War. The major weapons being used aren't bullets and bombs (although those are strategically being used as well). But some of the main weapons being used are discouragement, division, hopelessness, fear, distrust and discord.

Going back to Webster's dictionary, a Cold War is defined as: a conflict over ideological differences carried on by methods short of sustained overt military action, and usually without breaking off diplomatic relations; a condition of rivalry, mistrust, and often open hostility short of violence especially between power groups.

Let's war by teaching the truth in love to our congregations. Knowledge is power. We can't effectively battle against an unknown enemy. That's boxing with the air. Let's attain wisdom and understanding about the enemy in order to become a united front against it. God does not want us to be ignorant of the enemy's devices (see 2 Corinthians 2:11). The Church needs to quit being so silent in speaking about government issues from the pulpit. It is from the churches in America that men gathered together to put together our Declaration of Independence. 

New Reformation 

This year, we celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation of the Church through Martin Luther's 95 thesis. Prior to that, the Church simply believed what they were told by the church leaders and did not read the Word of God for themselves. But in this time of awakening, we need to call for a true Reformation and Declaration of Independence to occur within our minds, hearts, and mouths regarding government. Just as back then, it is time to quit simply believing what we are told and to get the truth for ourselves.

Let's declare ourselves independent of the oppressive antichrist spirit of government and political correctness that has arisen throughout our nation and the world. Let's not simply stand by and let the Church and our nation be taken captive. We must do what we were born for and speak God's truth that sets captives free. 

Let's unashamedly and without fear declare God's Declaration of Independence – the Word of God – over our families and this nation.Let's teach our congregations about what is really going on. Stand for the truth and inform our people! If you lose an expensive building because you stand for righteousness, so what. We are in this to save souls, not buildings.

The Church in America is to take a stand against the tyranny of the worldwide antichrist system!

Praying Women

Praying women: you in particular have been called from the beginning of time to crush the enemy (see Genesis 3:15). "Rise! Shine! For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you" (Isaiah 60:1-2).

Recent Dream of Turtles

I had a dream recently about turtles. They were slow, but all of a sudden, they all gathered together and began emerging out of their shells. They came forth in the shape of people, and then suddenly became dressed as warrior ninja turtles, like in the cartoon.

I felt that the Lord interpreted this as: there have been many who have been slow to come to the forefront, who are now going to break out of their shells and become very powerful in the Kingdom. They will become God's ninja warriors. They may be late bloomers, but they are right on time for God's Kingdom purposes to come forth through them.

The 8 then became the infinity symbol and I heard, "To infinity and beyond!" I had a knowing that things of eternal significance are occurring right before our eyes in the White House and throughout America.

Increased Healing Power

"Let's war by teaching truth in love to our congregations. "

Several years ago, I had a dream about huge "circus tents" being used for healing revivals that would rival what occurred in the days of the great healing evangelists.

Earlier this year the Ringling Brothers Circus shut down. As soon as that came on the news, I knew the Lord was speaking what I saw with "those tents" was about to occur. The time has come. I don't know what they want to do with those tents, but I do know what God wants to do. It will truly be the greatest show on earth, as we see people's legs grow out where there weren't any, wheelchairs disposed of, crutches hung on walls, as well as blind eyes opened and deaf ears unstopped.

Hamans Will Be Hung 

The more the enemy tries to stomp on President Trump, the stronger he gets. The Lord told me back in the spring that we would see the Hamans get hung on their own gallows! The same thing will happen with other leaders whom God has designated to come forth for such a time to lead our nation. The more that comes against these leaders God has designated, the stronger they will get too.

Hollywood

The revival that has begun in Hollywood is only going to get stronger. Because there are those who are praying and seeking God's face there, things are being exposed and captives are being released. God is taking captivity captive there!

The Best IS Yet to Come

In this year of Chet on the Jewish calendar, the swords have formed a doorway that is covered with the Blood of the Lamb. The Chet is yoking them together for safe passage for God's people to move forward in victory, which is protected by Him and His heavenly angelic team. 

Those who have been passed over in times past shall now see a table set before them in the presence of their enemies. 

Although gross darkness will continue to try to cover the earth, God's light and glory will continue to shine upon His people. There will be a holy fear that comes upon those who try to get in their way. You will even hear the media say something like, "It is uncanny how the more that comes against this president and these people, the stronger they seem to get." (Photo via Pixabay)

Unity

We will continue to see greater unity come forth among the people of our nation as tragedies unfold. We are a family and when families fight, they put down their swords and help one another.

Weather

Strange weather patterns and systems will continue to be seen. The greatest threat being earthquakes. The reason being is that everything that can be shaken is being shaken. Therefore, there will be visible manifestations of that.

The Trumpet Call

God has set His plumbline in our nation once again. The Church must arise and speak with clarity the uncompromised Word of God now. There needs to be a clarion call to return to the basics of the Word of God and holiness.

The Church needs to speak up and call an end to the bitterness, strife, hatred and division that the enemy has stirred up in our country. We must not relax because a battle has been won in the presidency, as we are still very much at war. We must keep and even increase our momentum into the next election.

Be aware that much new information and distractions will occur almost daily. Let's keep our focus on the Lord and the fact that He is love, and thus love one another as He has loved us. Love is our ultimate weapon. Love wins.

The least likely to succeed = the most likely to succeed, in Jesus.

 

One of the things the Bible is clear about regarding God choosing those He can use is that you do not have to be professional, just available.

 

The condemning voices of the enemy are constantly trying to discourage God's people from being what God called them to be.

 

It seems that every time God wanted to use somebody in the Scriptures, it was the most unlikely of people He used to do the most exceptional things. Perhaps the reason is because He would then truly get the glory.

 

When God called Gideon, he argued that he was too poor to be used. He said that he was from the poorest clan in all of his region, and he was the poorest one in all of his clan.

 

Apparently God decided that was a not a good excuse, because He still used him. God knew what he had put inside of Gideon. He knew that, in his humility, Gideon was a lot more capable because he would truly have to be trusting in God to accomplish the task.

 

"Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord." (Zechariah 4:6)

 

Sometimes there are people that think way too much of themselves, and other times there are people that are far too humble.

 

True Humility

 

As one man said, "True humility is agreeing with God." God is the one who knows what He put on the inside of His people. It is like a baker that is making a cake. They know what ingredients they put inside. God knows what ingredients He has put inside of you.

 

Even if you do not believe in yourself, you can believe in God who made you, called you, and is sending you forth.

 

One of the most unlikely heroes of the Bible is the apostle Paul. He murdered Christians. When you think about that, it must have been scary for Christians to trust him when he started ministering. Most likely there were those that were concerned that he was just pretending so that he could get inside their group and kill them too.

 

Fear is a terrible and debilitating thing. It can cause you to be trapped in the paralysis of analysis and totally halt your faith and all that you are called to do.

 

One of the big causes of fear is listening to other people's opinions. It is interesting that one would hear from God, and then ask other people what they think about what He has to say. When you think about it, it is ridiculous to ask a human being to verify what God is saying rather than to ask God to verify what a human being is saying. God is, after all, God. People are mere human beings. Imagine what all could be accomplished if God's people would just believe Him in the first place.

 

When you think of it, it is interesting that the prophetess Debra was the very first female political leader ever known. Because America now has some females in the political arena, it thinks they are advanced, but it has been done long before this. Other nations have had females in leadership very far back in history. There have been many queens, for instance, in England.

 

So many women, even today, feel like a "lesser being" and are afraid to step out into what they are called to in the area of ministry. But the women who were willing to take a chance and who didn't look at those lies succeeded, so why not you? After all, God has mightily used women like Aimee Semple McPherson, Kathryn Kuhlman, Maria Edworth Etter, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Paula White, Juanita Bynum, Marilyn Hickey, Mother Theresa, Mother Angelica, Lisa Bevere, Joni Lamb, Kay Arthur, Jan Crouch, Tammy Faye Bakker, just to name a few.

 

So many of the women mentioned above had serious situations in their lives that others would use to disqualify them. Even divorce. But if people would disqualify someone because of divorce, they would disqualify God because He divorced Israel.

 

Often times when one steps out into ministry, one of their children begins to go astray. That happened to Oral Roberts with his son Richard who was astray from God for quite a while. But God let Oral know that did not disqualify him, because a lot of God's full-grown kids are astray, and that doesn't disqualify God. Eventually Richard also returned to God and his calling too.

 

Disqualified by the World

 

Just the other day, there was a story on television about a young man that had started to get in trouble with the law in his early teens. He got involved in a program through the Police Department, which a judge made him participate in. That program caused him to go forward into law enforcement and eventually become the police chief in a major city in America when he grew up. No one would have thought that would happen when he was a young troublemaker.

 

Opera Winfrey is one of the wealthiest people in America. She certainly had one of the most lucrative television careers. When she tells of her early childhood years of being poor and from a dysfunctional family growing up, as well as how shy she was, you realize what a miracle she is. Not only is she a successful woman, but she is a successful black woman. Truly a pioneer in her day. In spite of what some people may think, her original concept of faith is what got her where she is today.

 

While "the world" would often disqualify people, God forgives, accepts, and uses those who have failed. There are some greatly famous televangelists like Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker, who "fell" in front of the whole world to some degree. Yet better days were yet ahead as God continues to use them.

 

There are awesome testimonies throughout the Body of Christ of the things God has saved people from. Alcohol, prostitution, drug trafficking and abuse, robbery, murder. The list goes on.

 

The word testimony means, "a formal statement, evidence of proof of something; a public recounting of a religious conversion or experience."

 

Rick Joyner says, "In the very areas where you have been wounded, once healed, you then have the authority to heal others."

 

The Bible puts it this way, "Satan is defeated by the Blood of the Lamb and word of your testimony." (Rev. 12:11)

 

Too often, people shrink in shame over what they have been through in their past. The enemy will try to constantly condemn you and threaten you that, if others find out about what you used to do or who you used to be, you should be rejected and forgotten.

 

Forgiveness Leads to Authority

 

While your past may not be something to be proud of, it is something to be proud that the Blood of Jesus saved you from.

 

In essence, while the enemy would like to try to use it as a sword over your head, when you have repented and gotten forgiveness, it becomes an area of authority for you. You are then able to use it to bring salvation and deliverance to others through the testimony that God gives to you because you have been through it and gotten saved. There is no one else that understands and has authority in that type of situation like you can because of your experience.

 

The key for you is to not allow the enemy to blackmail you with it. Be ready to speak it out in the realms of giving God the praise and glory for having saved and delivered you from it. That totally overturns and takes the authority out of the condemning voice of the enemy who would like to use that thing to shame and defeat you. Instead, it becomes your weapon to disarm, subdue, and defeat the enemy in your life as well as the lives of others.

 

Jesus accomplished victory at the cross for all mankind so that you may be able to walk in it also. The Word tells us, "Having disarmed the powers and authorities, He (Jesus) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." (Colossians 2:15)

 

When you research everyone God used mightily in the Bible, most had something "wrong" with them, some sort of "disqualifying" marker. However, when they took it to the Lord and admitted to it, they were forgiven and mightily used.

 

Qualifying the Called

 

It appears that God delights in using those, which others would deny.

 

There's a saying, "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called." It appears as if God, for some reason, is "loser friendly." Apparently, the greater our afflictions or even our failures are, the more miraculously God can use us.

 

Case in point regarding physical afflictions is Joni Erickson Tada. In 1967 at age 17, she had a diving accident, which left her as a quadriplegic in a wheelchair. However, she has had an incredibly successful ministry since then and still does. She is an amazing singer, artist, and speaker throughout the world.

 

The truth of the matter is, in God's economy, the "least likely to succeed" are actually the most likely to succeed. Why? Because in your weakness He is strong. And there is nothing that's impossible for Him. You are the right material to become someone's hero.

 

Recently in the news, a McDonald's drive through clerk was attentive and recognized the face of a most wanted killer as he ordered chicken and fries at her window. She remained calm and told him the fries were not ready, but to pull forward and she would get them to him as soon as they were up. As he did so, she called the police and he was soon apprehended. A McDonald's drive through clerk became America's hero that day.

 

God has chosen the most unlikely to be His heroes. Today it just might be you.
