"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV)

Recently, I heard the Lord making this decree over many people in the Body of Christ: "FROM ANXIETY TO ASCENSION!" I saw the hand of God lifting many Believers from the chains of anxiety and as a result a mighty deliverance from anxiety was taking place in the Body of Christ.

I watched as the power of God set people free from a spirit of anxiety that was sent from the enemy to hinder them from moving into all God had for them. Where anxiety had taken root through traumas, past events and other areas, I saw the power of God bringing healing to their wounded hearts. Wherever the anxiety stemmed, I watched as a mighty move of the Lord brought freedom.

Rising to a Higher Level

Ascension is defined as: "the action of rising to an important position or a higher level." (Oxford English Dictionaries)

Not only is the Lord delivering many people from anxiety and bringing healing and freedom, but He is lifting His people high above the anxieties and cares of this world. There is a fresh wind of the Spirit of God bringing the people of God into a higher realm of vision, peace and rest in Jesus. There is an incredible shift taking place right now and anxiety is attempting to keep many Believers chained to the ground in areas where God has called them to fly!

I heard the Lord say, "Believe! Believe that the shift has arrived. Believe that I am mighty to save. Believe that I am mighty to deliver, and that this ANXIETY has reached its EXPIRATION DATE.

"There is a major shift of healing and freedom upon you! It's time to FLY! It's time to see this anxiety as not a part of your story anymore—in the place of bondage—but to see a new chapter turn in your life, where you have overcome anxiety and begin to partner with Me to see many others set free of the anxiety that has plagued them. The enemy has fought hard to keep you in the place of anxiety because of the power of your testimony to bring healing and freedom to others.

"Well, I decree over you today that the time where anxiety has hindered your life and assaulted your mind and body has come to an end. Now you shall know Me as healer and deliverer like never before."

The Lord showed me over the past few months that lots of people have been experiencing heightened anxiety. Some have been battling anxiety for a long time and it has intensified, while others are experiencing anxiety that they have never had before. But in all of the battles with anxiety the Lord was decreeing, "ASCENSION."

It is time for the rising up OUT of anxiety. It is the time of soaring higher, out of the anxiety that has stolen so much from many of you. It is time to move into a rest, a healing, a confidence in Him, a renewed sense of vision, a renewed hope, a renewed courage, a renewed joy and a renewed strength in Jesus. Anxiety has weakened many Believers in heart and body, but the Lord is decreeing that there shall now be a strengthening like you have never known before, rising up within you in the power of the Spirit. Not only will anxiety no longer plague you as the Healer, Jesus, steps in, but you will go forth in greater boldness and joy in all the Lord has called you to.

Creativity Will Increase and New Ventures Will Be Birthed

I heard the Lord decreeing loudly: "The GIANT of ANXIETY is coming down in the name of Jesus, as the tidal wave of My love flows in the lives of My people. As My nature is revealed as the All-Sufficient One and Protector in greater ways, My people will grow in stature in the Spirit as they step into greater realms of trust in Me, and in revelation of their identity and My power and faithfulness."

I then had a vision where I saw the earth begin to shake under the feet of those who have had such intense battles with anxiety. Suddenly, the ground began to crack open. I watched as springs began to burst forth from under ground and they sprung up like fountains. I heard the Lord say, "The SPRINGS OF CREATIVITY are now BURSTING FORTH."

As these springs of creativity burst forth, I heard the Lord say, "Can you hear the sound of NEW VENTURES being birthed? Can you hear the sound of NEW VENTURES being birthed?"

Not only are HUGE springs of creativity about to burst forth as these shackles of anxiety break off, but there are new ventures the Lord is birthing that are going to see you move forward, flowing in the creativity of God in new and fresh ways.These new and fresh ventures will not bring you great anxiety, but the flow of His creativity will be so strong that you will move in the slipstream of great joy and ease like never before. These new ventures flowing at His pace, with the shackles and strongholds of anxiety broken, will see greater fruit and blossoming than you have ever imagined. (Photo via Unsplash)

Anxiety is Not Your Portion

Friend, today, whether you have struggled with anxiety for the past week, month, year or decade, I want to encourage you: anxiety is NOT your portion. Peace is your portion. Joy is your portion.

I feel the Lord is wanting to encourage you to NOT take on anxiety as part of your identity. The Lord is bringing forth a fresh revelation of your identity in Him and He is bringing down the giant of anxiety in your life. Continue to invite Him in to deal with this assault against many of you and the areas in hearts and souls where anxiety has taken root. God does not condemn you. Repent for any way you have aligned with anxiety and worry, and know that these shackles and strongholds of anxiety have reached their expiration date.

God's decree over you is not anxiety. God's decree over you is you moving OUT of anxiety and into healing deliverance and freedom, and into greater ascension in Him like never before. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

If you have access to a TV, radio, newspaper or an Internet connection, then I would imagine that you hear news on a regular basis. And if you are one like I am, you listen to it or search it out to keep up with “what is going on in the world.”

The type of reporting you listen to will eventually determine how you react and respond to what is presented in days ahead. For most, they get their news from the major news outlets on cable TV. But with changing viewing habits, more and more are finding good news sources are available and more read and watched on the Internet. You then have a choice as to what “slant” you will get, for nowadays there is little “straight” news published. Most reporting articles lean one way or the other.

With the desire to publish newsworthy truth, as close to what the Bible declares that is, I use many articles from the Internet for our ministry blog Love For His People. These are gathered from several sources that I have learned to trust and rely on, that present honest, current and reliable news that most aligns with our beliefs. They include the websites of Charisma News, CBN News, Israel Today, Breaking Israel News, TruNews and The Jim Bakker Show. We also get emails from Michael Snyder (The Economic CollapseBlog), Ron Cantor (Messiah’s Mandate in Tel Aviv), and Israel365 (Rabbi Tuly Weisz in Israel) that are reposted on our ministry blog.

Once published on the blog, these articles are then also uploaded to our Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets we use to get this message out. In this way we hope to keep others updated with articles that other broadcasts or websites don’t (or won’t) share. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, that is very important to us.

Given the enormous verbiage that we each face each day, we must be careful as to what we allow to come into our homes and spiritual lives. It is vital to protect ourselves and those we hold dear and have responsibility for, even as watchmen would do so guarding the entries to homes and cities. Knowing what to do, when situations arise requiring good decisions made, will come out of that which has gone into our spirits. Shifting out the tares to allow wheat seed to grow will bear a good harvest at the right time.

Guarding our hearts and minds, our eternal souls, is becoming even more vital in these days of increasingly biased media, which lacks in reporting news the Holy Spirit would approve of. After all, being He knows all, we need His filtering system to watch over us. That way we will know what to do when we need to have the wisdom and knowledge needed to act accordingly. We will also have the peace of Christ to appropriately walk it out.

Protect yourself from the evils of this world. One way is to get your news from good sources.

4 Promises That Will Carry You Through Any Crisis

I've spent the past week sitting by my father's bed in a hospital in Georgia. He fell while doing yard work (no 89-year-old man should be trimming weeds) and he hit his head on the concrete walkway behind his house. He has a fractured rib, 12 stitches in the back of his head and two bruises on his brain.

After a week, he still has no idea where he is.

On Monday, he said my name. On Tuesday, when I asked him the name of his church, he answered correctly. But when a nurse asked him who I was, he told her I was his grandson.

We don't know what the next day holds for my dad, or the next month. Hundreds of people are praying for his healing, and there are signs that his motor skills and brain function are slowly coming back online. But whether he pulls out of this and goes back to driving his car, or whether he ends up in months of rehab, or if he dies, I've had to face the reality that we all get old, life is terribly fragile and death is inevitable.

We don't do a good job preparing people for death and dying. I never had a class on it in school. We rarely even talk about it in church until someone has a funeral. It's easy to develop a notion that life goes on and that we will never get old.

Yet the Bible doesn't dance around the topic of death. In Genesis, the word "death," "die" or "died" appear 68 times. It reminds us: "And Adam died," "And Abraham died," "And Isaac died." One entire chapter, Genesis 23, is devoted to the death and burial of Sarah. On and on it goes, like the somber toll of a bell. Death is a cold, dreary specter that is an undeniable part of our existence on this side of eternity.

King David talked about walking "in the valley of the shadow of death" (Ps. 23:4a). He could write those words because he faced life-and-death crisis regularly. Only those who have lost a loved one or cared for a sick person know how tangible that shadow of death really is. It weighs on us like a thick fog. It makes us feel lost and alone.

I have felt that fog this past week. I felt it when I had to restrain my dad from pulling out his IV tube. I felt it when I asked him a simple question and got a blank stare. I felt it when I heard another patient in the hospital scream in pain.

Yet David was sustained in that dark season. He was not overcome. He wrote: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me" (v. 4). We have the promise of His presence no matter what is going on around us.

If you are walking through the valley right now because of a death, an accident, a serious medical condition, a financial crisis, the loss of a job or any other tragedy, stand on God's immovable promises and let His words bring security to your soul. These four promises have meant the most to me during the past seven days:

Nahum 1:7 says, "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him."

"God is good, all the time," has become a religious cliché. But it is a powerful truth if you let the words sink in. When we walk through dark times we are tempted to doubt God's goodness. Don't let the devil accuse God of abandoning you; run into the Lord's strong arms and let Him remind you of His faithful care.

John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

It does not matter what the world throws at you. Jesus said we would face trials and tests, but those words are followed by a comma, not a period. He calls us to face our difficulties with faith. He has already overcome every possible problem we could face. Knowing this will give you supernatural peace.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

When we face a crisis, our first reaction is to worry. But the antidote to worry is prayer. Share your fears and anxious thoughts with Jesus and let His peace override them. His peace will shield you from the darkness of despair.

John 11:25-26 says, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die." This is the ultimate source of all our joy.

Death is not final when the person who dies is a Christian. Jesus removed the sting of death; it has been swallowed up in Christ's ultimate victory. Don't let death or the threat of death steal your hope.

Let God's promises guide you like signal lights through your dark valley. The future is bright on the other side.

How to Maintain a Tranquil Soul

We must discover the pathway to abiding peace and true tranquility! If we look out at the chaos and confusion, the death and destruction, we can be overwhelmed. However, if we will lift our vision higher and look up to focus our attention on Christ the King, our outlook will vastly change (see Isaiah 26:3).

Christ Jesus warns us that a time is coming when many will fall prey to fear and panic because of the things they see coming upon the earth.

And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth [there will be] distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity [without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn] at the roaring (the echo) of the tossing of the sea, men swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken and caused to totter. 

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great (transcendent and overwhelming) power and [all His kingly] glory (majesty and splendor). Now when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near. Luke 21:25-28 (AMP)

Living in Perfect Peace

Nirvana will not be generated by people or prescription pills. It is not obtained through yoga or occult meditation or any other occult practice. The antidote for negative thoughts or emotions is simple: We must obey the Word of God. The only cure for fear and anxiety is abiding in the Word, the person of Christ Jesus. Paul declares in Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP):

"Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

The answer to stress and anxiety is not medication but a living relationship with the Master! This is the pattern we need to learn: As we turn our inner focus, our will, to Christ and place our affections on Him, adjusting our thoughts to the Word, we will discover abiding peace. This is the Enoch walk of the overcomer!

Christ's presence within us is our assurance that we can live in peace, even in times of pressure and turmoil. The promise is much more than just merely getting through the tough times – He promises us perfect peace and constant contentment.

Does this sound too good to be true? Hardly! This is the abundant life purchased for us by the broken body and spilled Blood of the Lamb of God at Calvary. He died and rose again to birth the Kingdom of God within us when we are born again.

The Prince of Peace abides within us! We have a Blood-bought right to walk in uninterrupted shalom, free from all anxiety and fear, because of the living, breathing presence of Christ in our temple.

This is not too good to be true. Despite the arguments of your mind and heart, the Scriptures are always true – and they are filled with examples of people who lived in peace in overwhelming situations.

Abraham believed God, even as he raised the knife over Isaac (see Genesis 22). Caleb and Joshua believed God's promises after 40 years in the desert (see Numbers 14:38).

Mary believed God's Word, having never known a man – and her soul rejoiced (see Luke 1:26-38). Christ Himself believed His Father even as He was crucified. When He overcame sin, fear, and death at Calvary, we overcame them in Him. We were united with Him in death, and we are united with Him in His resurrection. The Cross stripped all power from fear and anxiety; they no longer have legal mastery over our souls – unless we let them rule.

We must not allow fear and anxiety to rule in our lives. We must first recognize the voices of the enemy – spirits of fear, rejection, accusation, and more. We must then repent from coming into agreement with these evil spirits and begin to hate evil with a perfect hatred. 

Then we must renounce the presence of these demonic beings in our lives and cast them away in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Ask for and receive forgiveness from your heavenly Father for having come into agreement with the lies of the devil.

As we submit to God and resist the devil, we will experience the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding. In our union with His resurrection, we have been given open access to perfect peace. How do we abide in this peace as a daily, lived experience? We do it by keeping our minds, wills, and emotions fixed on Christ and living lives of repentance from sin. 

Whenever your thoughts or emotions stray from the Prince of Peace, recognize the temptation of the evil one. If your heart has already come into agreement with his evil suggestions, simply receive forgiveness and return to the heart of your Beloved, which is found in His Word.

Despite the Storms...

Ponder the promise in Isaiah 26:3-4, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength."

We must never doubt that God is good and that He does good. Instead, we must be confident that "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him" (Nahum 1:7).

Despite the storms, however, God's plans and purposes for you are wonderful. 

Jeremiah 29:11 says: "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says the Lord, 'thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.'"

You must distinguish between the truths of God and the facts of your existence – and choose to trust the Lord, no matter what you perceive or feel. Look not at the facts of your life, and do not place your emotions upon the facts of your life but upon the truths of these marvelous Scriptures. 

Then you will abide in peace. Instead of worry and anxiety, recall this to mind: "The Lord's compassion and mercies are overwhelming. When I recall this, I have hope. I am not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness!"(Lamentations 3:20-24, paraphrased).

Your battleground is not the circumstances of your life. The true battleground of the enemy is in your mind, will, and emotions. Keeping your thoughts and heart focused on good things will prevent darkness from overtaking your soul:"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you" (Philippians 4:8-9).

Paul wrote, "Be anxious for nothing..." (Philippians 4:6).

We must stay focused on Christ and His unchangeable Kingdom if we are to have abiding peace during these days of chaos: "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble" (Matthew 6:33-34).

There is no greater warfare than our abiding with the Prince of Peace. The God of peace will crush our foe under our feet (see Romans 16:20). The moment you feel the loss of peace, repent and ask for the Forgiver Himself to flood you with His peace. Have no doubt – He will bring peace because He always keeps His promises.

Stay in HIM – stay at peace!
