Psalm 91 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Psalm 91

1 He who [a]dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,

6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,

10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].

12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.

14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.

Well Done - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Well Done
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.'” Matthew 25:21 NASB

I like my steak medium well done, the way they do it at the Longhorn restaurants in Charlotte, NC (and elsewhere I am sure.) Not too dry, not too bloody, but just right. At least for my taste buds.

But that is not what this message is about. I thought I’d get your attention, for many of you like steak! Especially the beef from Iowa, where I grew up, for the cattle there are corn fed to get them real juicy.

This message is about being faithful, walking the walk we are called to as believers, and finishing the tasks the Lord has assigned for each one of us. He purposely created you and I for a specific work here on this planet – one in which the nations will know that He is the Lord, and the Lover of their souls. He always has, and continues to, look for a people who will believe in His ways, walk on His paths, and fulfill the Great Commission to take the Gospel, the Good News, to the lost and dying around us. That is His heart, and it has become mine. I hope yours too.

When my time has been completed here, give it 60, 70 or more years, I want to hear the words of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, say to me when I stand before His heavenly throne, “Excellent! You are a good and trustworthy servant. You have been faithful with a small amount, so I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and join in your master’s happiness!” Matt. 25:21, CJB (Complete Jewish Bible).

Without a vision, or where there is no revelation or prophetic purpose, Scripture says the people perish (Prov. 29:18). Being faithful in what we do requires the impartation of the Lord’s desires in our hearts, whereby His Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) gives us the goal and the objective in our living. If serving ourselves and our own pleasures has become our sought after achievement, our souls will become unfilled, having not what we have been created to do.

But knowing the purpose of our placement in the Body of Christ, and accomplishing the work the Lord has entrusted and gifted us with - be it service in the realm of business, education, media, government, family, religion or arts and entertainment - does bring the joy and happiness that is sought by everyone. It is not without much difficulty, temptation and trials, but it will bring the satisfaction that we have done that which we have been apprehended to do.

As Paul himself says, as our example and for our inspiration, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14 NKJV

We all like appreciation, rewards, and being given the prize at the end of the contest or achievement accomplished. Being faithful to complete it to the finish line, the end of the road, is worth the fighting for and pressing on to that goal. To hear our Master say to us, once our lives here have completed their given days, will be worth the effort it has taken.

Keep pressing on to the end. Know your calling, do what it takes to be faithful in the daily walk, and look with hearts full of hope and longing for that day when He will say to you, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”

Now think on this,

Haggadah Highlights

The blood that was placed on the doorposts of the Jewish homes signified that those inside the house had unequivocably placed their trust in the Almighty. It was this devotion that brought down God's protection. May we all merit God's protection this holiday season by standing with the People of Israel. Your support of Israel's national blood bank will save lives.

A rare astrological event commenced this Passover with the appearance of the first of a series of full lunar eclipses in a row called blood moons (due to the red color of the moons glow).

KEEP ON PRAYING - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

KEEP ON PRAYING

Always be joyful.  Pray regularly. In everything give thanks, for this is what God wants from you who are united with the Messiah Yeshua.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Complete Jewish Bible)

“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13, NASB)

Bob Fitts, a worship leader and a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) contact, sings a song entitled “Keep on Praying”(Hosanna!Music/Integrity Music). Sticking the ear buds in, listening to his melodic voice and then getting my eyes fixed on the Lord, seated on His majestic throne, sure gets the day started right.

I can just feel my faith spirit rise up within me as the song calls out to keep on praying for family, friends, work, Israel, our own country and friends in other nations. Encouragement to keep on pressing on comes, as refreshment comes through the music He shares.

The Holy Spirit Himself, Ruach HaKodesh, enjoys connecting with us, drawing us daily to the Father and Son through the communion of prayer.

Often He will wake me up and politely ask me if I want to get together with Him. Sometimes I resist, for sleep is pleasant too, but more than not I respond, get up, and meet with the Lord. In the quiet of the night, before the sun breaks over the Carolina horizon, He speaks to my heart. Words of encouragement. Insights into the coming days. Prophetic words to share with others.

Those who long to be where the Lord is, seeking Him as He leads us on, will find He is near. When we think He is far away, inattentive to the on goings in the nations, we will find that He is passionately involved. His Spirit is speaking to people through dreams in the night, visions during the day, and soft words of love as they go about their normal routines. He is calling out, as the Shepherd watching over His sheep. He wants to save the people. He is the God of Love.

Protection. Provision. Providence. All good things come from Him. Our faith level rises when we spend time to know Him, and learn of His ways.

My prayer today, as I seek His heart for that which matters most to Him, and thus more and more so to me also, is as follows. Make it your prayer today too.

“Lord, I will bow to you and to no other God. I will seek Your face. I will follow hard after You, to hear Your voice. Today You are the joy and the peace that only You can put in my heart. Thank you Lord for Your love, for Your presence, for Your care and provision for my family, friends, co-workers, and those you have connected me to in the nations.”

And yes Lord, thank You for our daily bread!

One New Man – The Bride - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

One New Man – The Bride

“…that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth — in Him.” (Ephesians 1:10 NKJV)

“It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.”
(Eph. 1:11-12 THE MESSAGE)

God has a plan. He has always had a wise plan through the ages. We are seeing it worked out in our time. He is fulfilling the promise He made to His Son, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, to present to Him a Bride.

God will complete His plan, in the fullness of time. At the completion of the outworking of His purpose, He will have redeemed a people to Himself. As the living church of peoples are gathered from all nations, we are being united as one. His eternal purpose is being worked out, to gather us to Yeshua, in Yeshua, and for Yeshua.

God first began His plan by calling a man out of his land, to bring him to a new one. Avram (later known as Abraham after God changed his name) heard the call and followed.

“Now Adonai said to Avram, “Get yourself out of your country, away from your kinsmen and away from your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation, I will bless you, and I will make your name great; and you are to be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Gen. 12:1-3 Complete Jewish Bible)

Through Abraham’s seed after him, his descendants Isaac and Jacob, a nation had been birthed to fill the earth with His light. The olive tree, which is given in creation for our understanding, represents the Jewish people called from the beginning. They are the representation of the Lord. Through them this long enduring promise is being fulfilled, even since the time of Abraham.

As the centuries passed, and the olive tree grew, it endured the onslaught of destruction; the beating of the surrounding elements; the ongoing threats of extinction. Yet the Lord continued to further reveal His salvation plan of redemption through them - to bring together not only the Jews, the olive tree, but to add branches, the Gentiles. These too would be grafted into the tree.

With a cross cut in the branch, to place the wild branch within the natural, the grafting in of the wild branch to the natural branch brings forth the intended produce, the olive itself. The fruit for the Son.
By being grafted in to the olive tree, through that cross cut, these Gentile branches, believers with faith as Abraham had, also receive the riches and favor of God through its Jewish roots.

As Gentiles, we must receive the Jewish roots. For the Jews, they must receive the wild branches. The result will be the one new man, the Bride of Messiah.

Paul wrote to us, Gentile believers, this caution. “And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.” (Romans 11:17-18 NKJV)

Believing Jews and Gentiles from the nations are being joined together for God’s heart purpose from the beginning. Having a Bride for His Son Yeshua, our Messiah, has been the eternal goal. Our diversity and uniqueness will bring out the intended features He has been looking for, and waiting for, in this ongoing creative act of the Father for His Son.

In these last days, the culmination of time, God the Father is bringing forth His created one new man. Even in the midst of the roaring nations, the chaos happening all over the earth, He is doing it. As He brought something out of nothing in the beginning of creation. He will come full circle and do it again in our time.

This one new man will become His Son’s Bride.
