Outpouring of Christian Support for Israel, Decrying UNESCO Resolution - Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Outpouring of Christian Support for Israel, Decrying UNESCO Resolution

“And it shall come to pass that every one that is left of all the nations that came against Yerushalayim shall go up from year to year to worship the King Hashem of hosts and to keep the Sukkot.” Zechariah 14:16 (The Israel Bible™)
An outpouring of Christian support for Israel and decrying the UNESCO vote began during Sukkot, a Jewish holiday prophesied to have multi-national relevance.
The resolution passed last week on the day after Yom Kippur, and was ratified by UNESCO’s Executive Committee on Tuesday. It referred to the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem, and the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, in Arabic terms, erasing any Jewish or Christian connection to the sites. It also solely blamed Israel (referred to as an “occupying nation”) for the violence in the past year, destructive construction on the Temple Mount by the Muslim Authority, and for its self-defensive blockade against shipping into Gaza.
The International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem (ICEJ) issued a statement last Saturday decrying UNESCO’s “scandalous resolution”.
“This is tantamount to rewriting history and stripping these sites of their 4,000 years of Jewish and 2,000 years of Christian connection,” ICEJ Executive Director Dr. Jürgen Bühler wrote. “This represents a calculated insult against the Jewish people as well as an affront to over two billion Christians worldwide who know full well that as a faithful Jew, Jesus regularly visited the holy Jewish Temple on this site, taught there, and was zealous for its calling as a ‘house of prayer for all nations’.”
The ICEJ is currently hosting it’s 37th annual Feast of Tabernacles conference which brought over 5,000 Christian representatives from all over the world in support  of Israel. The conference culminates in a spectacular parade displaying multinational support for Israel.

Let Jews Pray on the Temple Mount!
In an open act of defiance, 15 Christian parliamentarians from Europe, Africa and Latin America visited the Tomb of the Patriarchs and other parts of Jewish Hebron on Thursday.  They are in Israel to participate in the annual Israel Allies Foundation conference, which is co-sponsored by the World Jewish Congress. This annual conference held during Sukkot brings Christian and Jewish pro-Israeli lawmakers from various countries. The tour of Hebron,  organized by the Council of Judea and Samaria (Yesha), was the first time a group of foreign parliamentarians visited the Jewish community of Hebron.
The UNESCO resolution establishing an Islamic religious monopoly over the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron clearly rejects the Bible which states that Abraham purchased the site.
And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Avraham for a possession of a burying-place by the children of Heth. Genesis 23:20
The participants included MEP Bas Belder, MEP Branislav Škripek, MP Jeppe Jakobsen of Denmark, MP Antero Laukkanen of Finland, MP Inga Bite of Latvia, MP Kees van der Staaij of the Netherlands, MP Peter Östman of Finland, MP Pablo Casado of Spain, MP Marek Krajčí of Slovakia, MP Alfred Heer of Switzerland, Minister Ruperto Long of Uruguay, Congressman Gerardo Amarilla of Uruguay, Congresswoman Karla Prendas of Costa Rica, MP Kenneth Meshoe of South Africa, and MP Reverend Matanga of Malawi.
On Thursday, 19 parliamentarians from 17 countries participating in the conference signed a declaration against UNESCO’s resolution, presenting it to Deputy Minister Michael Oren (Kulanu).
In addition to the visiting diplomats, over 30,000 Israelis visited the Biblical city in a call to protest the UNESCO resolution. It has been 50 years since Israel conquered Hebron and the Temple Mount in the Six Day War.

Thousands of Christian Pilgrims Gather in Jerusalem to Affirm Support of the Nations on Sukkot - Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Thousands of Christian Pilgrims Gather in Jerusalem to Affirm Support of the Nations on Sukkot

“And it shall come to pass that every one that is left of all the nations that came against Yerushalayim shall go up from year to year to worship the King Hashem of hosts and to keep the Sukkot.” Zechariah 14:16 (The Israel Bible™)
In a clear fulfillment of the prophecy in Zechariah, over 5,000 Christians from more than 90 nations came to Jerusalem to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot, which began Sunday evening October 16.
In what has become an annual pilgrimage, thousands came to participate in the 37th annual Feast of Tabernacles conference and celebration, hosted by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ). The week-long festival, held from October 16-21, is an unmitigated outpouring of Christian support for Israel.

This year, in light of the UNESCO vote last week that granted Islam exclusive religious claim to Jerusalem, the conference takes on an even more urgent note.
The conference coincides with the week-long holiday of Sukkot, which, in Jewish tradition, has significance for all the nations of the world. During the holiday, a total of 70 bull sacrifices were brought to the Temple. In the Talmud, it is taught that Rabbi Eliezer said, “Why are 70 offerings brought on Sukkot? For the [merit of the] 70 nations of the world.” Sukkot is unique among all the Jewish holidays for this international element.

This year’s conference will feature several dozen pro-Israel Christian parliamentarians and government officials from more than twenty countries. Many of these visiting officials are affiliated with the Israel Allies Foundation, while several African nations are sending government delegations to represent their countries at this year’s Feast. The ICEJ also will host the largest ever groups of pilgrims from Chinese- and Spanish-speaking countries, continuing the trend in recent years of increasing attendance from Latin America and Asia.

The theme of the conference is “All the Families”, referring to the family of nations that trace their lineage back to Biblical Abraham.
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing. Genesis 12:2
The conference opened with a reading of Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones by the ICEJ national directors.
The hand of Hashem was upon me and Hashem carried me out in a spirit and set me down in the midst of the valley and it was full of bones. Ezekiel 37:1
The timely significance of the conference was emphasized when Apostle Rene Terra Nova from Brazil told of an amazing answer to prayer in his country. He proudly announced that as a result of their prayers, the Brazilian government retracted their vote of approval cast last week at the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on a resolution saying that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem had no connection to Judaism.

The first night of the conference was celebrated Sunday evening at Ein Gedi, a natural spring on the shores of the Dead Sea. With song and dance, several thousand Christian pilgrims displayed their love and support for the Holy Land.
A prayer session was held on the second day at the Garden Tomb, a rock-cut tomb considered by some Christians to be the site of the burial and resurrection of Jesus.
The conference will culminate in the spectacular Parade of Nations, in which thousands of pilgrims, many dressed in their nation’s traditional garb, will parade through Jerusalem.

The  conference also gives practical support to Israel. It is Israel’s largest annual
tourist event and the largest solidarity mission to Israel this year, injecting an estimated $16 million into Israel’s economy.
The ICEJ was founded during the first Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in October 1980, in response to the last thirteen national embassies leaving Jerusalem under threat of an Arab oil boycott. Today, the Christian Embassy is considered the world’s largest pro-Israel Christian organization, with established branches in over 85 nations and a reach into more than 160 nations worldwide.

Uniting Jews and Gentiles in Support of Israel

Uniting Jews and Gentiles in Support of Israel

I originally began writing this article while in Jerusalem, overlooking the Old City and Mount Zion. I was blessed to celebrate Sukkot in Israel, which Christians calls the Feast of Tabernacles, one of the seven Feast of the Lord which are sourced in several places in Scripture.
In Leviticus 25, a Feast of Great Celebration is described, a celebration not just for the Jewish people, but as I am learning more and more, God-designed for the entire world.
Sukkot is one of the three pilgrimage Feasts of the Lord, where the entire nation of Israel is called to physically come together in one location to celebrate and worship God.  The Hebrews have incredibly faithfully preserved this in various forms and to various degrees for more than 3,500 years. Sukkot is miraculously being kept today in Jerusalem, as God has returned them to the Land after more than 2,000 years just as He foretold throughout the Bible!
Zechariah 14:16 even foretells of a day when ALL of the nations will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles!  This is a Feast of gathering together in unity to celebrate and worship God, and it is for the entire world.
BIN-OpEd-Experts-300x250(1)
I find it very interesting that after spending several weeks to write this article, I am no only realizing that God had rich purpose even in that delay.  In synagogues all over the world and even in Israel, rabbis share of God’s dream and desire for the entire world to embrace Him and of His Word, knitting us all together in unity through it.
On that point, it is so much more significant to be writing this article from Israel just as the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) installed a new Director of Christian Affairs for North America.  A big MAZEL TOV to Rev. Jaime Lynn Fusco, who embodies bringing together Jew and Gentiles in unity of Israel!
It is fascinating that when I asked Jaime Lynn how she became interested in Israel she described growing up in a Brooklyn Jewish neighborhood and how she was always so curious about the Sukkahs that would spring up all around during the time of Sukkot.  It was this very Feast that God used to stir her heart with wonder about His people that led to her love affair with them and the Land of Israel – so how appropriate to be writing this at such a time as this.
When I asked how old she was when she developed a heart for Israel and her people, I was so astonished when she replied:
“The first memory I have, I was probably around 7 year old – I was going to Catholic school in Brooklyn New York – during communion, after you go up to receive, you then go back to the pew and kneel and pray – I would pray for the Jewish people, the Christian people and the Muslim people – I have no idea where it came from….”
And, paraphrasing a little more of what Jaime Lynn then shared:  “I was never taught that. I did grow up in a Brooklyn Jewish neighborhood, but never heard of Muslims and we didn’t talk about them.  My parents were born again Christians, my Grandmother and Father did read the Bible to me so I was very familiar with the land and people, but was never taught to pray for them, even though I did regularly.”
“From age 19-27, I had my own company helping mom and pop shops, as well as large companies migrate to the internet. At the core of me I am a writer and have been writing since a very early age. Since the company was doing well I created an op-ed website and started writing political articles to combat the lies that were being published through the news– I was a blogger before bloggers existed….”
“About 4 years into this, 9/11 happened and I was glued to CSPAN watching the 9/11 commission investigations. As I watched I wrote articles and was able to get them out on the web before others could. I had tens of thousands of repeat visitors from all over the world following my articles.”
She went on to share from her heart, “One thing that really helped me to understand Israel and ancient Israel was 9/11 – losing family members and friends in a terrorist attack. Before this we would say, ‘a suicide bomber is a homicide bomber,’ I thought I understood, but to experience it first hand when it happened here in NY it really took it to a whole different dimension in understanding and identifying with Israel in what they have gone through and endured for so long.”
What does Shmittah, Blood Moons and the coming Jubilee have in common? Find out now!
9/11 was the instrument that catapulted Jaime Lynn to do everything she could to shine the light of truth and to stand for Israel. Jaime Lynn was very active, teaching people on how to get involved with their communities and local governments and hosting Israel events and solidarity rallies, always from a positive Godly perspective.  “Something I always say, ‘Israel is the Apple of G-d’s Eye and NY is the apple in His Hand,’ that is the Plumb line for my ministry.”
In 2003, she began to transition into full time ministry, teaching in churches, hosting Bible studies and working for multiple ministries, including Billy Graham. “As I came into a much more personal relationship with the LORD in my late twenties, things just started clicking specifically as it relates to Eretz Israel. At that time I had a young aunt who developed 4th stage cancer, I was the primary person taking care of her and I really had to lean on my faith. That year Christmas and Hanukkah aligned and I knew there was something there, it was not just a coincidence, I knew it meant something more. This became the turning point that thrust me into studying the Feasts and times and seasons of the Lord more closely. After that Christmas ALL of the Feasts started aligning! That’s how the LORD really grew my connection with my Hebraic Roots and is how The Wings of Destiny Ministry began.”
Jaime Lynn started writing regularly about the Feasts and the Hebrew calendar; she still writes a monthly newsletter and teaches with continuing revelation, connecting scripture with the time we are in today.
In 2006 she joined Robert Stearns’ Eagles’ Wings organization that for many years has strongly supported Israel and her people.  After being on staff for a short while Robert asked her to start sending out the God’s Calendar teachings on the Feast’s to the staff of about 45 at that time. During the 5 years there she spearheaded a Rosh Chodesh women’s ministry within the organization, as well as, taught seminars at their conferences.
It was with Eagles’ Wings that she got to actually visit Israel for the first time in 2008 – “every molecule of your being is transformed – It was just like in Jerry Maguire when Tom Cruise says to Renee Zellweger – ‘you complete me.’  I fully understand this myself, and so will you if you come to The Land of the Bible.”
“It’s not just a Historical place, we are watching The Bible continue to unfold before our very eyes as Scripture Foretold in so many places like in Isaiah 35, where you can physically see the desert blooming. There are so many Amazing discoveries every day proving the Bible and The Significance of The Book and The People of The Book – so even if you’ve been there before there is so much more to see and experience every day!”
Israel is safe, the safety and well-being of its citizens and visitors is of utmost importance to them and I can also attest to that – as Jaime Lynn says “the only way to understand that is to go and see for yourself.”
So, earlier this year when she was offered the position by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism to become the Director of Christian Affairs, North America she enthusiastically accepted.  “I get to do what I love – I couldn’t have thought of a better position to be in – I feel like the position was made for me.”  And, after getting to meet Jaime Lynn and hear her story, which has even so much more to it, I agree completely.

Jerusalem Inspiration

Sukkot (Tabernacles) is a unique festival in the Jewish calendar. During the Temple times, all the nations of the world were able to participate. Our verse describes the mass ingathering of non-Jews who came to the Temple in Jerusalem on the festive days of Sukkot to pray to God. Today, Sukkot is still a magnificant time to visit the Land of Israel. Though the Temple is no longer standing, Jews come on "pilgrimage" to the Western Wall, with tens of thousands of people gathering there to perform Biblical commandments such as "Birkat HaKohanim", when Jews of the priestly class bless the Israelite congregation. Meanwhile, on the Temple Mount, violent agitators who wish to stop non-Muslim prayer are stockpiling weapons, starting fires, throwing rocks, and barricading themselves inside their mosques in order to attack the Israeli police and Jewish and Christian visitors who come to the site. Temple Mount advocacy organizations such as the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation are campaining every day in the Knesset and the streets of Jerusalem for safety, equality and access for all on the Temple Mount.

Police Battle "Terrorist Wannabes" on Temple Mount

Young Muslim "terrorist-wannabes", incited and directed by the PA and Hamas, holed themselves up overnight in the Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount over Sukkot with a stockpile of weapons to prevent Jewish holiday traffic by staging violent riots. The Israel Police have released this video showing the violence, including the throwing of rocks, fireworks, metal bars and incendiary devices. Police stopped the violence, allowing visitors to ascend in peace.

Scientists have discovered a gene which can be traced from the Biblical figure of Aaron, the first High Priest (kohen) of the Jewish people, to a segment of the Jewish population today which carries the priestly lineage.

The Surprising Connections Between Sukkot and the War of Gog and Magog

The Surprising Connections Between Sukkot and the War of Gog and Magog

“And it will come to pass on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, that My blazing indignation will flame in My nostrils.” (Ezekiel 38:18)
There are signs, both in current events and in Jewish tradition, that point to the possibility that the War of Gog and Magog, prophesied in the Books of Ezekiel and Zechariah, will happen this year on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot (Festival of Tabernacles).
As has been widely reported, the final Blood Moon of the most recent tetrad occurred on the first night of Sukkot, September 28, 2015. Each time a Blood Moon tetrad has fallen on Jewish holidays in the past 500 years, there has been a significant Messianic advancement. Is the War of Gog and Magog connected to the Blood Moon?
Parallel to the final Blood Moon, Iranian and Russian troops are moving into Syria. US troops are heading into the Sinai. Israel is being surrounded by foreign troops to the north and south. The End of Days blogger Tomer Devorah suggests, “It really looks to me like the set-up for the Gog uMagog invasion!”
The apocalyptic War of Gog and Magog, the final war that is part of the Messianic process, is mentioned in two places in the Bible – in the Book of Ezekiel, starting in chapter 38, and in the Book of Zechariah, beginning in chapter 12.
The connection between the War of Gog and Magog and Sukkot is made explicit in Zechariah 14:16, which discusses the annual celebration in Jerusalem on Sukkot, following the War of Gog and Magog.
“And it will come to pass that everyone left of the nations who came up against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to prostrate himself to the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16)
In a recent lecture given by popular speaker Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi, there are three other connections between the holiday of Sukkot and the War of Gog and Magog.
The end is near. Are you ready?
First, the numerical value of the Hebrew term “Gog uMagog” (גוג ומגוג) is 70. According to Mizrachi, this is an allusion to the 70 nations that make up the world. When the Holy Temple stood in Jerusalem, 70 oxen were sacrificed during the week of Sukkot. Each of these 70 oxen represented one of the original 70 nations.
Second, on the Sabbath that falls during the week of Sukkot, the section of the Books of Prophets that is read in synagogues all across the world comes from the Book of Ezekiel (38:18-39:16)This passage discusses the war of Gog and Magog which is predicted to come before the Final Redemption of the Jewish people.
Third, Mizrachi states that the only reference to Gog and Magog in the Talmud, Judaism’s enormous reservoir of rabbinic teachings, is in the tractate named Sukkot. Amidst a discussion of the death of the Yetzer Hara (Evil Inclination) in Messianic times, the Talmud speaks of the mourning that will accompany the death of Moshiach ben Yosef (the first Messiah from the Tribe of Joseph) who will be killed in the War of Gog and Magog.
Mizrachi puts these pieces together and emphasizes that, based on the mystical tradition of Judaism known as Kabbalah, the rabbis of the Talmud understood, “that the time that has the highest chance to have this war is Sukkot, and especially this year, when it is the end of Shmittah.”
“The Gemara (Talmud) says that in the end of shvyit (the seventh year, which is a Shmittah year), Moshiach ben David (Messiah, son of David) [will] come,” Mizrachi told Breaking Israel News, emphasizing that “all the signs that the Gemara gave [for the era preceding the Messiah] already happened.”

Today's Israel Inspiration

At the End of Days, the righteous nations who "remain" will make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem on Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, the festival when Israel offers universal sacrifices and prayers in the Temple on behalf of all of the nations of the world. The righteous nations will be recognized, after a war that will lead to the ultimate victory of good over evil. A new book gives a fascinating vision of how the political chaos in the world might lead to the fulfillment of End of Days prophecies.
