When God's Plan Seems Crazy

Wondering if you're hearing God about an assignment or task that terrifies you? (Michael Hull)

I was standing on the rooftop of a tall building. It was dark outside, but there was plenty of light to be able to see a wooden plank lying flat over the edge of the building, almost like a diving board.

I felt an internal nudge as if I was supposed to stand on that wooden board, so I slowly walked towards it. I quickly realized that something was different about this board. There was nothing that was attaching the board to the rooftop! It was sitting there with no support of any kind. I knew in my heart that I was supposed to stand on it, but I was thinking "This is stupid. If I stand with both feet on this board I'm just going to fall to my death."

I stood there staring at the board for what seemed to be an eternity. I placed one foot on it (and kept the other one firmly planted on the rooftop) to test it and see if there truly was no support there. I was right. No support. I knew I was supposed to get on it, but it just wasn't making any sense.

After a few moments I placed my foot on the board again, and then I felt a gentle but firm push. The board gave way and I started to free fall off of the building. I was terrified for maybe 2 seconds before I heard a voice say, "Check your pocket." I reached into my pocket and there was a button. I heard the voice again. ..."Push it." I pushed the button and a parachute shot out from the button and I started to drift safely. As I was breathing a sigh of relief, I heard in the most loving and comforting voice, "See ... I got you."

That's when I woke up from my dream.

Have you ever felt like the God-given vision and assignment placed before you is completely crazy or impossible or downright terrifying, but you know it's what you're destined to do and it is the will of God concerning you?

It could be related to your business, ministry, professional career, or even your marriage or family.

I want to remind you today that you are not alone. You never were and you never will be.

I want to remind you today that you are equipped for the task ahead of you. You were equipped before you even entered the Earth.

Ephesians 2:10 says: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath ordained that we should walk in them."

You are God's masterpiece. You are not a product of your past or present environment. You are not a product of your experiences. You are a product of God. You were created for a work that is beneficial, distinguished, and honorable. As far as that assignment or task is concerned? Well, according to the original Greek text the word ordained is proetoimazō which means to fit up in advance (literally or figuratively).

You have been pre-fit and prepared for what's ahead of you.

With that good news in mind, go ahead and take the risk. Step boldly on that wooden plank. Your loving Father's got you.

The prophets are saying a "new move of God" has begun and it's started in California. If you've noticed we've posted words from major prophets over the last couple of weeks of revival, and some movements that have started in California that will keep spreading. We are in exciting times!

If you're like me, you've seen these prophecies coming for several years and you've waited for things to finally begin to happen. Well, they are happening now!

Let me warn, caution or even encourage you to jump on board with this revival. If, during this revival, as prophesied, the least deserving and most unlikely people get saved, don't reject this move as some have done! Many of you were not around to observe that during the Jesus movement of the 1970's and many rejected the move because of the "hippie" element to those getting saved who wouldn't change their hair style or dress.

Let's not let that happen again, deal?

Book of Revivals

Since last Christmas I have been having encounters that are happening almost daily. In one, an angel gave me a Book of Revivals from Heaven. This is deeper revelation that is being opened up now regarding previous revivals of God.

This new revelation is about the moves of God over people and regions. I have been continuing to see the shift of "Keys of Authority" that were in the hands of those not using them or who became judgmental and used their authority to hold people down instead of building them up.

Judgments from those with authority to release and bless has been one of the major reasons why we have not seen a sustainable movement of God in North America in 22 years.

2016 Will Be a New Move of God

I released my 2016 prophetic word last month. In it I talk about "Why 2016 could be the start of something new."

There has been a move of God every 11 years in North America dating back to the Azusa Street Revival in 1906. The 11-year intervals fall on the 1950 Healing Movement, the 1961 Charismatic Renewal, the 1972 Jesus People Movement and the 1983 Third Wave Charismatic Movement. 1994 had the Toronto Blessing and 11 years later there would have been a movement that actually did start around 2005—but it was cut short because it was judged and bound by those who carried Keys of Authority.

The 2005 move started with unusual signs of God's glory such as gold fillings appearing in people's mouths and gold dust and gemstones appearing supernaturally in meetings. But the move never went global as God intended and was very limited.

Now 11 years later it is 2016, the year that we will indeed see something new start. Joshua Mills was one of the ministers who operated heavily in the 2005 "gold and glory" movement. I had a prophetic word for him and we talked on the phone the first of January this year. I told him that God is going to honor him because he honored God. Joshua told me that once again gold dust and oil began appearing on his hands that very week.

Dream: New Move of God

I had a dream that I was in a resort-like place in California. The new movement from God had come and the pool at the resort was all updated. People were swimming in God's presence. The water represented the Holy Spirit and many people were swimming. As we swam in the pool you could look down on the bottom of the pool and there were remains from previous moves of God.

The dream is showing that as God pours out a new move of the Holy Spirit it will be refreshing to many. Also it will be "new" and we will not need to operate in older ways of doing things. This new movement coming will be completely updated to fit and reach people in today's culture.

February 2013 in San Diego

God told me to look up prophetic promises from 2013 that have not come to pass. I looked in my journal and found some major things. One entry that stood out was called "The Sign of the Dolphins." On Valentine's weekend in February 2013, I was speaking at the Power and Love Prophetic Conference at Bethel Church in Redding, California. God spoke to me that there was going to be a major prophetic sign on the news on Valentine's weekend (2013) to show that His love is coming to people in need.

Sure enough, on the news the next day, there was a story about a massive seven-mile stretch of over 100,000 dolphins gathered off the coast of Southern California. Previously there had been thousands, but on that weekend it was estimated to be over 100,000 dolphins. It was a sight that could not be explained scientifically. You can read one of the many news stories about this phenomenon here.

This was a prophetic sign of a move of God that would come to San Diego in February and bring refreshment. And it would be seen by the entire world.

Symbolically water represents the Spirit and dolphins are encouragers. Many people said that the dolphins had gathered for the food in the area. In the same way, God is preparing a great banquet or party that is coming to Southern California that will impact the entire world.

I wrote this on my blog in February 2013.

San Diego Outpouring Starting Now

Joshua Mills and Jerame and Miranda Nelson held their annual Decree Conference last month in San Diego and indeed something new started. They began seeing a higher level of God's presence, glory and miracles. They extended their meetings and are now doing nightly "The Fire and Glory Outpouring" meetings in San Diego. You can join them live or watch the live stream online.

Linda and I visited these meetings and witnessed that, yes, this is the start of something new. It is in the early stages, but God spoke to me that by February 14, 2016 this will begin to spread and affect the world globally. This is the fulfillment of the 2013 Sign of the Dolphins!

Two Moves of God Coming

God showed me that there are two major movements coming. The first is a long overdue movement to revive and refresh the Church. This is what is beginning to happen in San Diego.

The second one is much more radical and it is what I have been prophesying for a number of years.

God's new agenda will be the spiritual outcasts, those who have been wounded and rejected by Christians.

Sadly, many leaders will be tempted to reject this new movement at first because it will be so outside the box of our current understanding of what is possible. This is why God is saying to prepare to be stretched.

Get ready to cross over into a new season of God's glory and presence. A new wave of God's love and power is about to sweep the world!

This word by Conrad Lampan will bring a great "sigh of relief" and great peace to you in many areas where you may have needed it.

When we step out in faith and obedience, trusting God in the outcome, great challenges may have come our way. 

We tend to believe we "missed it" and didn't hear God right...but many times that is far from the contrary! I've learned that we often did hear Him right...it just didn't pan out how we expected.

Just read this word by Conrad:

"I also saw you, when you became disheartened and disillusioned, because you believed the dreams were from Me and you could not understand why things were not happening as you expected. I tell you again: Turn your eyes and look. Look to Jesus, and when you do I will show you that all those expectations, those dreams, those visions of heavenly achievements, are still in My hands: For they are not lost."

Now breathe that sigh of relief, let peace come over you, and be ever encouraged by this awesome word of the Lord by Conrad Lampan.

Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you today:

"The time you are entering in is not a time to regret what was not, what was lost, or the dreams you have committed to the shelf."

Spinning

"If you would just stop spinning round and round in life – that is not the life I gave you. And if you would turn around and look at the One that gave His life so that you may have life in abundance, you will soon realize that all your cares, all the things of earth will begin to grow strangely dim.

"You will also see that all those things that were not, that you thought long gone, the plans that did not materialize, the dreams you cherished, dreams that seemed to vanish like vapor, all of them are still in My hands. You cannot see them because your eyes have been dimmed with regrets and frustrations."

Get off of the sightseeing tour of failure land.

"I am telling you this day, that I have seen your tears and your longings. I have felt your pain when you saw your dreams slipping away. I knew you when you were trying to reach goals, that the more you tried it seemed to become more unreachable."

You Thought, "No More Time"

"That's what you thought. And you all but decided to give up. It was all futile you told yourself, and even more discouraging to think that you had no more time left to play with the grand design of those dreams.

"I also saw you, when you became disheartened and disillusioned, because you believed the dreams were from Me and you could not understand why things were not happening as you expected. I tell you again: Turn your eyes and look. Look to Jesus, and when you do I will show you that all those expectations, those dreams, those visions of heavenly achievements, are still in My hands: For they are not lost."

So Much More

"And to you, who have achieved many goals and feel satisfied to the point of feeling no regrets, yes, you who have done great things and worked with Me for the extension of the Kingdom, I will speak to you too.

"Don't let your fulfillment become your prison. 'Been there done that' is not a Bible verse. 'I did it my way' is not a Bible verse either. 'Things that eye have not seen, and ear have not heard, I have prepared' that is a Bible verse, and I intend to bring into your life much more than you have seen or done.

"Come to Me today; come let's get into that closet and I will show you the so much more I am telling you about. Do not allow your fulfillment, which is from Me, to take you away from Me. I value relationship more than I value your achievements for Me."

Restore

"As I told My prophet: I will restore the years. Can you hear Me? The years. Yes, I will restore to you the years, and the things that were not will be 'Yes and amen.'

"When My servant Job was put to the test, and afterwards I restored him, I restored what he thought was lost plus the increase of it as if he had never lost it. I will restore to you the years of increase that did not yield an increase.

"When I restore, it includes redemption: that which was lost and that which should have been. The cattle and its increase; the planting and its increase.

"When I say to you that 'I will restore you to the place that wasn't,' I want you to understand that I will restore you to the place that I had always planned for you, for although you were not there in fulfillment, in My timeline you have always been. You just need to align with Me."

Alignment

"Your restoration, is linked to repositioning, not of circumstances or conditions, but of yourself aligned with Me. Don't look for signs and confirmations aside from Me. Don't be a Babylonian looking for the stars to tell you what I, the Holy Spirit of God, have already declared about you. Look to Me for the plans that I have for you. Your alignment is with Me, to hear what I declare for your life. 

Your alignment is with the Father's heart, to know what He desires and to do what you see Him doing. Your alignment is with Jesus, to be like Him.

"You will see, it is already happening, that My Church, the one I am building, is emerging. The Church, every local church, that aligns with Me, will be emerging into that Kingdom place where the gates of Hell will not prevail."

Expect

"Listen to Me now: Your dream might not look the way you dreamed your dream. I hold your dream in My hand; it will come to fruition, it will come to pass, but not necessarily the way you figured it will. Keep looking up to Me and let's shape that dream together.

"Always remember, that eye have not seen nor ear heard what I have prepared for those who fear the Lord."

How God Speaks While You're Sleeping

Throughout the pages of Scripture, visual realities erupted and revealed subtle mysteries of God's kingdom. This may seem strange today, but the ancients believed that God would speak to them in the midst of their dreams.

In this nocturnal state of mind, unparalleled insight and understanding were sometimes accessed. Reflecting on this, Job once declared, "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears" (Job 33:15-16).

In one instance, God conveyed the immensity of His covenant with Abraham through the image of a smoking firepot and a blazing torch passing through the sacrifice.

"As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him. ... When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking fire pot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, 'To your descendants I give this land'" (Genesis 15:12, 17-18). 

Many haven't considered this, but Abraham's experience with God took place in his "mind" while he slept. Through visceral images, he began to understand something of who God was and what He intended to do in his life.

The pattern of the Lord speaking through dreams continued to have a lengthy heritage in the Bible; shaping the lives of the Patriarchs (Genesis 28:12; 37:5; 46:2), Prophets (Daniel 7:1-9), and Kings (1 Kings 3:5). It even comes into play in the New Testament with the birth of the Messiah (Matthew 1:20-21; 2:12-13; 2:19) and the expansion of the church (Acts 2:17; 16:9-10; 18:9-10).

Dreams were a form of divine encounter widely accepted in the Middle East (and are still valued by Semitic people today). What was being conveyed during slumber, tended to shape their understanding of the purposes of God. The children of Abraham weighed out every dream; considering what the Lord might be sharing with them.

We obviously place our greatest trust in Scripture. Yet, in the pages of the Bible, men and women were often impacted by intense spiritual encounters. Are modern Christians willing to follow the ancient biblical pattern? Do we truly have an openness to encountering God's purposes in trans-rational ways?

"It's Time to Rise and Build!"

Just recently, I had a dream in which I heard the audible voice of the Lord say,"It's time to RISE and BUILD." As soon as I woke, I had the first part of Nehemiah 3, verse 1 at the front of my mind, and sensed that not only was this my personal word for the year but a word for the whole Body of Christ also.

"Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it." Nehemiah 3:1

God is Restoring

I believe in 2016 we have entered a time that is unique for our generation and there is a favor upon us in this year to build as never before. When we look at this Scripture in Hebrew, it is exciting and I believe a picture of what God is doing. The word Eliashib in Hebrew means, "God restores!"

It is a picture of restoration back to its original condition, BUT I believe God is restoring not just back to the condition you knew your circumstances were before, BUT the condition and state that God intended them to be in eternity past! Restoration means to return back, to reverse and to answer the cry!

In Nehemiah 5, verse 11 it says, "Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil."

This is the year where total and complete restoration will be seen: a restoration where the enemy has stolen. 

Those who have had land stolen or lost, for whatever reason, God is declaring over you, "Restoration."

The corn which speaks of your increase (from the prime root Hebrew word dagah), the wine (comes from the prime root Hebrew word yarash), which means inheritances, and poverty, and the oil...your anointing; yes, the Divine outpouring of the supernatural and creative miracles is here this year!

Get ready for a full and complete restoration of every area! Why does it say the" one hundredth" part in the above verse? The Hebrew letter one hundred means the completion of all living matter!

Gates and Doors Are Opening

It's time to align our thoughts and emotions to who we are in Him. As our identity is aligned and the words of our mouth line up, we are going to see in 2016 the creative power of God change situations, families, cities and nations!

The Scripture in Nehemiah 3 goes onto to say that they built the sheep gate. Deleth in Hebrew means to establish and rebuild the gate, and speaks of the doors and portals of Heaven, to give entrance to Heaven; and sheep in Hebrew is multitude.

Get ready! This is a year where supernatural encounters, dreams and visions are going to increase because gates, doors and portals have opened, and Heaven is going to come face-to-face with earth. As Heaven starts to invade earth through these gates we are going to see the multitudes come.

2016 is a season of soul winning and prodigals coming home, and the backslidden are coming this year. What was started in 2015 is going to increase in 2016. Some who lost people from their churches last year and felt they became small and inhibited, get ready. Start to speak the vision again, give breath to it, say it loud, declare it, and start to physically build it because this is the year of your open door of increase! 

The enemy you have been fighting is about to be defeated; lift up your voice, and rejoice in your victory!

For those who sowed last year and have not seen the increase, it's time to declare the door of blessing open. Genesis 26:12, "Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him."You are about to reap and it will be 100-fold – the completion and all that is due!

There is an acceleration coming in 2016 with gifts and callings in ministry and businesses, and many will see promotions. This year is the year to create, innovate and start building the desire that God has laid on your heart. It's time to be positioned.

As the portal and doors have opened, there will be many angelic appearances and awakenings among the children and youth. These awakenings will tear down strongholds of atheism and false religions, as the young enter into encounters that cannot be denied.

A Generation of Fearless Warriors

As I started to pray over this word, I again heard the sound of the piper (bagpipes) playing, "Scotland the Brave," and God showed me a generation of fearless warriors arising, hearts ablaze, full of passion and His love, not just in Scotland only but they are rising up all over the world.

It's time for us to stand and declare our breakthrough, the doors are opened, it's time to rise, and it's time to build! 

Job 22:28, "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways."

Your light or owr (Hebrew), light of life, light of prosperity, light of instruction, light of face, of fire and breakthrough – it will shine (derek in Hebrew) in your character, your way, and your life!
