Favor: Having It, Keeping It, Increasing It. By Robin McMillan The favor of the Lord enables us to accomplish His purposes and live supernaturally blessed lives. Over the years I have seen favor ebb and flow in my life, in lives of others, and in different ministries. How do you get it, how do you keep it, and how do you increase it? Inquiring minds want to know. Ask How do you get favor? Every good thing comes from God: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17). To have favor, we must ask: “Yet, you do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2b).  My Favor is for You In the context of asking James also said, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures” (James 4:2b-3).  When we don’t understand that God gives us favor primarily for others, we are in danger of losing or diminishing that favor. Motives matter. Paul wrote in I Corinthians 14:1&12, “Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” And, “Even so you, since you are eager for spiritual gifts, let it be for the building up of the church that you seek to excel”. In the context of the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit Paul wrote the love chapter, I Corinthians 13. The ‘more excellent way’ Paul spoke of in I Corinthians 12:31 is using the gifts of the Spirit in expressions of love for the benefit of others.  My favor is for you, and your favor is for them. Being Thankful John the Baptist said,  “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven” (John 3:27). We thank God to acknowledge that what we have, what we can do, and what we are, He has given us as a free gift. Being thankful also has the potential to increase our favor. “…God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” (I Peter 5:5).  Honest heart felt thanksgiving is manifest humility and attracts the grace of God. Loving People Period People know if we really love them. Peter wrote: “Honor all people…” (I Peter 2:17). Intentionally showing people honor is a very simple way to practically show them love. Then they are open to what we can bring them. Often we reserve our love for those we approve of or those who love us. Of that Jesus said, “…love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?…(Matthew 5:44-46). We will ultimately only influence people we truly love. Bitterness Free Authenticity The proliferation of social media has tainted this current generation like no other, either by hype or hypocrisy. Many long for authenticity and authentic believers. Becoming authentic is often a painful and expensive process, and many who have suffered have become bitter. God isn’t interested in promoting people whose favor is soured by bitterness. Be real, but don’t be critical. That will certainly diminish your favor level. Imparting Hope The level of our influence will rise to the level of our ability to impart legitimate hope, the joyful confident expectation of good. Hope is one of the primary missing ingredients in not just the world but the church as well. If we don’t have hope we must realize we have bought into an inaccurate theoligical/cultural belief system. Hopelessness is its ‘witness’ that that belief system is false. Hope is the atmosphere where favor thrives. We are serving the ‘God of all hope’ and living inside us is Christ ‘the hope of glory’. Divine hope is part of our spiritual DNA. Let that hope arise in your heart now and may your favor increase. [RUDDICK REPORT] VIETNAMESE HELPING VIETNAMESE

As we wrap things up for this most recent venture helping the Vietnamese, we've been dotting the "i"s and crossing the "t"s for our next trip -- just after the first of the year. However, with those plans firmed up, we have also been finalizing schedules for what we'll be doing on our second trip here next year. Indeed, word has gotten around. It also is God's time. With our focus of investing in and mobilizing the poor among the brethren in persecuted nations, the Vietnamese have been applying what we're teaching -- and against incredible odds, these principles have been working for them as they reach for more of God and set their course to become self-sustaining. There's been a momentum building, along with the sound of the rains of revival. We've been a part of the turning taking place in this nation. Change for good is emerging. While persecution remains a reality -- the spiritual climate has begun responding to the fervent prayers of the righteous. The application of God's economy is also becoming a reality and it has been spreading. With that, Vietnamese are helping Vietnamese. What strikes me most about the Vietnamese response to Truth is the way they embrace and navigate Truth -- into the way they live their lives. Their priorities are in the right place. Indeed, they are walking out the admonition of James: "To be doers of the word and not hearers only, who deceive themselves." There's something about God's heart for sacrificial giving and revival bleeding together. Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 2 Cor 8:2 Not only are they reaching for more of God and the goal of becoming self-sufficient, but our Vietnamese co-laborers are truly operating as "community-builders." They're becoming the head and not the tail, as Vietnamese help Vietnamese. Vietnamese Helping Vietnamese Here are a few examples. * Many of the church networks we work with operate as missionary churches, reaching out to Vietnamese communities across Vietnam and Southeast Asia. One gathering was an annual conference attended by local leaders from across the region, the fruit of their efforts. These were communities they have mobilized to be the "head and not the tail," from the poorest of the poor, with majority of those attending being from Vietnamese tribal groups. Also, one of our workshops we hosted had an leaders from distant provinces and seven different tribal groups. * We have initiated a matching fund program to help launch new businesses with three different leaders of church networks based on matching seed capital coming from Vietnamese business people with established track records. * One of the business people we have worked with has a track record of helpingyoung people and orphans. Since touting orphanages can be an overused fund-raising technique, I take care when I hear of orphanage activities. In this case, we know the founding couple well and have played a part in their plans becoming a reality. They had already been raising six orphans in their home, besides their own two children, as well as giving scholarships enabling 18 teens from the poor region of this brother's hometown to attend secondary school. Since then he has used a property he owns to build a facility to house his expanding family of orphans with plans to expand it into a private Christian school. The application for the next step, the Kindergarten, has already been filed. What a joy to visit, minister and share devotions with these happy children and house mothers. * We have opened the doors for an alliance with a Vietnamese firm that uses half of its facilities to house a Bible school that brings in rural pastors for intense, short-term Bible training. Through the Internet, the goal of this new alliance is to expand the market of their products into the US. * Across a wide group of church networks leaders are meeting together to pray, collaborate and bless their communities with agendas ranging from feeding the poor to digging water wells. I was honored to be the keynote speaker concluding three days of a monthly fasting and praying gathering. * A group of business owners in a coastal city who attended one of our prior workshops have been meeting regularly in support groups to seek God and help each other become successful. Their businesses have been growing. On this trip we conducted a special seminar for them, to review, pray for them and answer questions on "next steps." They've entered God's economy and they want MORE. * One of the key church network leaders we work with has just received government approval for a travel service. We have been a part and have encouraged this initiative as it holds the potential of supporting his already significant efforts to advance the Kingdom. This man is not only a proven leader, but a serious giver and an Isaiah 58 practitioner. Strongly related to these most recent testimonies of Vietnamese helping Vietnamese is the story from one of our previous missions. A village chief/ pastor of a tribal minority group attended one of our workshops. Not long before he came to our workshop, typhoon-level weather had torn out the electrical lines of his village and made many of the dirt roads impassable. Authorities told him: "Let your God help you." Shortly afterward, he was invited to attend our God's economy workshop. After the workshop, we learned he had expertise in breeding a special variety of livestock used in high-end restaurants. We assisted with the purchase of three of these animals. When we returned less than two years later to see how his venture was going, we were surprised to find four other smiling village chiefs/ pastors greeting us. What happened was that with the birth of the first offspring of the animals, this pastor gave half to another village chief/ pastor and trained him in the business. The process multiplied, as the second village chief did the same. Vietnamese helping Vietnamese. The result was a cash flow being established in which these pastors began feeding their families, supporting their ministries and in each case extending their self-sufficiency with generators to provide them critical, consistent electrical power. The time commitment for raising these animals was less than two man hours a day. Even the authorities, who had previously denied them the services they provided to others, were impressed. With the upswing in demand for our workshops has been an increase in the requests for my books in Vietnamese. I've investigated further to determine current pricing, as well as which book(s) should have priority. The Dynamics The parable of the talents, among many other like-truths in Scripture, teaches that as good stewards, God expects us to bring an increase. That's the foundational premise behind Biblical entrepreneurship. Indeed, God's very nature is to create, to innovate, to build and to multiply. In the wisdom of God, in establishing their own foundation, our Vietnamese brethren avoid the snares that divide, as they fear God alone and apply the simple biblical wisdom to pray, to listen to God's Spirit, to serve and to place their dependency on reaching for more of Him. The result has been the sounds of rain, heavy rain. Becoming the head and not the tail means resisting the trap of missing the real potential of God being their source -- by placing their trust in Western donations. It's about making a way where none seem to exist within their own cultural and economic infrastructure. That's the creative foundation for establishing God's economy. Jesus' Kingdom message raises the bar. It establishes a standard, a dimension in God, beyond our human capabilities. The church in Vietnam has been through the fire. They've had everything possible thrown at them. Still, they've heard the sound of rain, and will settle for nothing short of it. The Expectation and Turning Wherever we've gone, when received, it seems we've been igniters for revival and newdimensions in God. The stewardship of something as significant as God's economy, through the imperfect vessels of God's people, can at times seem daunting. Yet, as I ponder the developments noted above, two things are clear. Our efforts are taking root. With that, we're also at a threshold in the turning underway. Something new, vital and subtle is emerging. As a boy, I recall my mother frequently commenting: "Thank God for small favors." Sometimes it's the simple things that are the easiest to overlook when the turning and the birthing of the "new" comes forth. It's the "small favors" from the Lord that we don't want to miss.   Please pray for the development of our role in each of the above examples, as well as for what may be a new role with the American-Vietnamese community, the next steps in my writing, as well as our return to Israel the middle of October. The Holy Spirit is the Paraclete or Comforter who dwells inside of us, to lead us into all truth. He brings all things to our remembrance and empowers us with grace and heavenly authority. Holy Spirit although a still small voice, must become the strongest, loudest, clarion voice directing our lives. 

There is an art to listen to God's voice. Practicing His presence enables us to receive from God; entering into peace, trusting and resting in His arms knowing He has all things under control. Bold faith opens our eyes to see, enabling God to show us, the right paths to take and the open doors that are waiting for us to walk through. 

As we learn to discern the Holy Spirit's voice Isaiah 45:3, says "I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name." There are many hidden secrets and treasures that will be revealed to those who seek after God's face with their whole heart. God shares His secrets with His friends.

God is omniscient (all knowing) and omnipotent (all powerful) there is nothing impossible for Him. In God's mercy He has reserved treasures and stored up opportunities for believers. These resources, ideas and provision have been hidden from the world because they do not know the ways of God. 

Dreams, Visions, Prophecy and Miracles 

In Acts 2:16-21, the prophet Joel declared that in the last days, "God says, 'that I will pour forth of my spirit on all mankind; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my bond slaves, both men and women, I will in those days pour forth of my Spirit And they shall prophesy. 

And I will grant wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come. And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" 

The last days began during the outpouring of Pentecost in the book of Acts. Through the centuries God has continually poured out an increased measure of His Spirit on all flesh, both the saved and the unsaved. The revelatory realm has increased the level of visions, dreams, prophecy, and miracles taking place today. 

God's anointing is on the rise. "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Isaiah 60:1-3, tells us, "Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." 

Moving in the powerful gifts of the Holy Spirit makes it more fun than ever to fulfill the Great Commission that was given to us in Matthew 28:18-20 "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." 

Separate from Detractors 

Some people are givers of themselves and their possessions while others are selfish hoarders and takers. The detractors in our lives won't leave on their own. They will continue to take, destroy, and drag us down as long as we allow them to. The wrong people in our lives will encourage us to make erroneous decisions. God's plan is always abundance, to exceedingly bless and prosper us. 

To obtain the innovative increased levels of prosperity, we must be willing to let go of the old comfortable ways and familiar relationships in order to add the new. Encouragement and hope comes from God and following His plans and purposes. Hearing God's voice clearly, knowing the Word and then walking in obedience will bring a greater wisdom and ability to discern the thoughts, intent and motives of people's hearts. 

Favor Brings Promotion 

God's favor will catapult us into the next level of blessing. Remember to keep your eyes focused on God not on your situation. Get into position to listen to God's still small voice because promotion is knocking at the door. By removing the portion of the populace that resists and fights against God and the negative situations that detract from our lives we make room for new relationships and strategic people to enter our lives. 

Their godly influence will sharpen us. We can't allow fear to keep us from acting in faith. Fear will cause many to miss greater opportunities for increase. A true covenant relationship with God removes lack and removes a victim mentality of poverty. Realize God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory if we continue to sow into His kingdom. If we allow fear to close up our giving or stop our sowing; God will also shut up the windows of heavens that provides us with wisdom and wealth. 

God Wins Battles 

In life we will continue to learn, grow, and gather wisdom through life experiences. The difficulties we overcame in the past have made us stronger and prepared us for more success. God is the answer! He is more than able to handle the major struggles we face with our associations, assets, hindrances, loss of jobs and sickness. 

If we will trust the Holy Spirit to guide us in prayer, God will fight our battles for us and silence our enemies. Vindication will come for the false accusations that came against us, restoring some broken relationships. God knows how to right every wrong and turn every situation to our advantage. God has a plan and divine strategy for our present and future success. 

Seeds of Faith 

God said, in Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remains there will be seedtime and harvest." The Apostle Paul said, Galatians 6:7-10, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."  

We are told to be good to everyone, even our enemies. It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. 

Jesus taught His followers about the power of fasting, prayer, and faith enabling them to cast out demons even if their faith was the size of a mustard seed. 

Matthew 17:19-21, "Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, 'Why could we not drive it out?' And He said to them, 'Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.'"  

But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.  Fasting and prayer not only benefits others but it is health to our body and spirit too! 

Godly authority has given us the power to speak to any physical mountain or spiritual opposition in our life. If we exercise our faith and believe God's Word that mountain will be removed and cast into the sea. The sea often represents humanity. 

When the right sea of people come and surround us, they will help us remove the mountain that has barred us from moving forward. If we have sown doubt and unbelief in the past, it is time to repent. Ask God to uproot and destroy that negative harvest. Now sow seeds of faith and believe God for an abundant harvest.

A Mighty Move of God...

Hear me Africa and hear me nations of the world. Today, the contention over territory is no longer a struggle. Today, what has tried to move in will move out. Today, you're empowered. Today, you're energized. Today, you're rejuvenated to take territory. Take it back now, in the power of the Lord! 

There is going to be a mighty move of God. Hear me: God is going to hit in Cameroon. God is going to hit in Uganda. God is going to hit in Nigeria.

God is going to hit in Kenya. God is going to hit in Mozambique. God is going to hit in Zimbabwe. God is going to hit in South Africa and in Libya. God is going to hit in the entire continent.

It is going to be like fire that goes up the continent and goes right across the Middle East regions, touching entire generations.

Generations of Believers that have been accustomed to living in the so-called "underground" – marginalized to the sidelines of society – are going to come alive to the power of God.

God is going to move miraculously in Bagdad. God is going to supernaturally do something in Iraq that is going to be a spiritual boom of the Spirit of God, and God is going to touch many people.

I want to release this word into the atmosphere for everyone. Listen to me: because in America, everything that I am saying has already been declared over you and I want you to catch this.

Favor is going to manifest and evidence of the fact that those that are with you are greater than those that are against you.

Do Not Waste This Year and the Next Three Years

The Lord just told me to say this: that there were certain things that the enemy was doing world-wide, globally (when I am talking about the enemy I am talking about the entire kingdom of darkness). The way the enemy was working was to accelerate certain things to happen, causing depravity.

But what the Lord is releasing in the Earth right now, and what He is releasing through His Spirit right now, is going to take what seems to be eminent in the direction of the world and put it in best case scenario – on stagnate check!

So child of God, do not waste this year and the next two years or three years.

Now we are in 2014. So do not waste the next three years for some "eminent", negative end-time thing to happen. You are going to find that God went ahead and put it in check, backing up His great faith that He poured into the Earth in order to release His anointing to 7 billion people and populate Heaven. Glory be to God!

We are to declare the goodness of God in the land of the living. We are to declare that this is not the time for the enemy to manifest or to do his plans in the Earth! It is just like that!

Hear the clock ticking, for the Lord says I have now catapulted you into the three years ahead.  And this day the dearest of My Months I say to You I am moving you against gates that have never been moved before.  

And I am causing those gates that have withstood you in the past to have to come loose so they open in days ahead!  I say to you move strategically day by day and month by month until the gate that has held back your blessing opens up. 

For I say in the 3rd year the War of the Kingdoms will begin and kingdom will rise against kingdom.  But I say I have a Kingdom now I’m preparing and I will remember this Kingdom and the seed and the seed's seed of this Kingdom.  So I say to you know this I have a Kingdom that will triumph. 

For I am beginning a highway out of Egypt but I’ll redo the highway that you’re on.  And I say now, the demons that have been trafficking and even creating trafficking throughout the earth, I Am going to unnest their headquarters. 

And I’ll surprise you with the leaders of this Nation, for I have ways to cause them to bow their knees, and you think they’re going one way but you watch Me knock the feet out from under them.  And you watch them see Me in a way they’ve never seen Me before! 

You’ll hear of shakings from North to West!  You’ll hear that I have come from Alaska to Maine to shake but it will be the center of this Nation that I now shake saith the Lord.  And I will cause that which has been hidden and controlling the forces of this land to shake down! 

For I say to you make favor with those that even have come into places and you say, but they have evil character. I can cause every Pharaoh in this land and the lands that you’re a part of to favor you in days ahead! 

And even today I call you My Army that is unstoppable. But even as in the natural there have been swarms that have crossed the Atlantic that have shown up in the most unusual places.  I call you My Kingdom Swarm and you shall invade the kingdoms of the earth and you shall extract that which is needed and you will bring it into My Kingdom says the Lord.

And that which the enemy meant to destroy through trafficking I will raise them up as an unstoppable army in the days ahead for that generation will be My Generation says the Lord!

So I say shout that the kingdoms of this earth are becoming My Kingdoms saith the Lord. And decree that the prisoners will be let go and they will come back to My House and this is a season My Altar will be filled! 

A new baptism I’ll give you and I say to you My very Finger I will place in My People’s keeping.  And I say when you point your finger demons will flee! 

And I say I’m going to open your eyes to those around you and you’re going to say they're of a different kingdom. And I will say to you they are Mine bring them in now! 

And in this year of honey I will cause a new hunger to arise throughout the lands for My Word saith the Lord.  And where you have known My Word in the past you will taste and see My Word in a different way!
