Will Germany Unwittingly Step Into This Daniel 9 Prophecy? - KELLY MCDONALD JR. CHARISMA NEWS

Will Germany Unwittingly Step Into This Daniel 9 Prophecy?

KELLY MCDONALD JR.  CHARISMA NEWS
"The end of it shall come with a flood. And until the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week. But in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator" (Daniel 9:26b-27).
In January of this year, Germany attempted to control Israel by discouraging new settlements. This stance came after a meeting of ministers from 30 nations that came together in Paris to discuss Middle East peace. This past February, Germany cancelled a meeting between their Prime Minister, Angela Merkel, and the Israeli government. One of the reasons cited was the new settlements that Israel continues to build.
Daniel 9:26-27 speaks of the end times. Specifically, God tells us that wars will continue until the end. A covenant with many for one seven-year period is then mentioned. Presently, war and the threat of war rock the Middle East. Many threats of war come from entities (terrorist groups and nations) who want to destroy Israel.
Just last year, Angela Merkel was quoted as saying that she was "hopeful" that a peace deal could be brokered between the Israel and the Palestinians. In fact, Germany presently acknowledges the peace talks between the two sides to be mediated by four entities: the UN, EU, US and Russia. In 2010, Germany held a direct conference between Israel and the Arab League chief to find a two-state solution.
Their involvement in the peace process also makes sense in light of an increase in military trade between the two countries. In the past few years, Israel bought five submarines from Germany. Last year, they formulated plans to buy more. Germany is looking to purchase drones from Israel. These are just a two examples of their close military cooperation. Interestingly enough, they have also made deals to provide some Arab states with hundreds of their Leopard tanks.
From the Bible, it is clear that some kind of covenant or treaty will be formed with many nations. The UN, EU, US and Russia clearly represent many nations on earth. However, one nation has to be the driving force in pursuing this policy. Could Germany be this nation?
These recent political and economic moves show us that Germany is presently making a power play in the Middle East to bring a peace between all sides. They have the economy, military and political connections to make such a deal happen.

Why Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem Won't Destroy the Peace Process - ROBERT NICHOLSON/THE PHILOS PROJECT

Why Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem Won't Destroy the Peace Process

Standing With Israel
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas says moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would be "disastrous" to the peace process. Philos Project Executive Director Robert Nicholson adamantly refutes that statement:
Moving the U.S. embassy to West Jerusalem, where Israel's claim to sovereignty is unchallenged, is not and would not be destructive to the Arab-Israeli peace process.
None of the current peace proposals or final status negotiations would be damaged. Neither Israeli nor Palestinian sovereignty would be compromised in any way. Those leaders threatening a meltdown of the peace process and massive outbreaks of violence are needlessly fanning the flames of hostility to serve their own ends. On the ground, as a matter of fact, nothing would be different.
We fully support President Trump's decision to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. As the ancient capital of the Jewish people, it is only natural that Jerusalem be recognized as the capital of the Jewish state. Moving our embassy also reflects a strong belief in the importance of Israeli sovereignty, American law and friendly relations between allies.
Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish people, but it also holds deep significance for non-Jews both inside and outside the land. We anticipate a continuing commitment from the State of Israel to ensure religious liberty for all citizens, regardless of their faith or ethnicity. We also welcome new efforts from the Trump administration to advance the cause of peace in the context of both Jewish and Palestinian self-determination. This is a step in the right direction, and long overdue.

Senator: UN Risks Funding Cut for Meddling in "Peace Process"

Senator: UN Risks Funding Cut for Meddling in "Peace Process"

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned in Jerusalem Saturday that there will be a "violent backlash" from the U.S. Congress if the United Nations attempts to "take over the peace process" in the Middle East.
Standing next to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Graham said the House and Senate, both slated to be controlled by Republicans after the first week of January, will act, "if there is any effort by the UN Security Council to set the terms of peace negotiations, avoiding direct talks.  President Obama in 2011 said the United Nations was not the right venue when it came to discussing the peace process in reaching a two-state solution.  I agree with what President Obama said in 2011."
Graham's comments come a day after Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told al-Arabiya that the Palestinians will push the UN Security Council to vote Monday for an Israeli Defense Forces pullback to pre-1967 borders.
Erekat also compared Netanyahu with the leader of the Islamic State or ISIS.
The Jerusalem Post quoted part of Netanyahu's response Saturday night to the comparison:  "This is the same Palestinian Authority that joins hands with Hamas, incites constantly against Israel, the kind of incitement that has led to an attack that we witnessed just two days ago of a Molotov cocktail thrown at a little girl, and I commend our security forces for apprehending the terrorists."
Netanyahu continued, "But the same Palestinian Authority is going to try to bring the UN Security Council a resolution that seeks to impose on us conditions that will undermine our security.  And I want to assure you that we will stand firmly and reject such a dictate.  We always have; we always will."
Graham cautioned that "any effort by the French, the Jordanians or anyone to avoid direct negotations between the Israelis and Palestinians over the peace process, anyone who tries to take this to the UN Security council," will face congressional resprisals.
He also backed Netanyahu's warnings about the P5-plus 1 nations reaching a bad deal with Iran concerning its nuclear weapons program.
"If Iran walks away from the table, sanctions will be re-imposed," Graham said.  "If Iran cheats regarding any deal that we enter into with the Iranians, sanctions will be re-imposed.  It is important to let the Iranians know that from an American point of view, sanctions are alive and well.  So we will be following your counsel and advice," he told the prime minister.
