7 Reasons Pastors Stay Silent in Our Wicked Culture - JOHN BURTON CHARISMA NEWS

7 Reasons Pastors Stay Silent in Our Wicked Culture

JOHN BURTON  CHARISMA NEWSPastors are refusing to confront culture, sound alarms or to address today's political crisis—and it may be time for them to step down.
When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, "Are you he that troubles Israel?"
And he answered, "I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and you have followed the Baals" (1 Kings 18:17-18).
God is raising up a new generation of bold, prophetic messengers who are fearless, broken and undone by the weight of what's happening in our world. They couldn't care less if people leave churches they minister in. They aren't looking for accolades or book deals. They are criers in the wilderness, a new breed of burning ones who aren't into building churches, but they are very much into confronting culture and shocking the nations with prophetic unction.

We need bold, confrontational leaders formed after the spirit of Elijah, people who are commissioned and unafraid to expose the wickedness in the land. Sadly, it's rare to find men and women of God like this today.
Though I'm going to share seven reasons pastors are refusing to confront culture or to dive into politics from the pulpit, the honest truth is that I am so disturbed that I even have to write about this. How can supposed men and women of God just go on teaching generic Sunday school- style messages every Sunday morning when the escalating crisis in the world demands an immediate and Spirit-led response?
Pastors, it's time to repent for your silence—or step aside!
Repent from your tired, unimpressive and self-centered attempts to grow your church. Repent from being a wordsmith instead of a prophet. Repent from being careful when you are called to risk everything. Repent from keeping people happy and controversy at bay. You have lost your voice!
Pastors, if you don't have a prophetic voice, you don't have a ministry.
We live in a day where babies are being butchered, and many people are campaigning for the slaughter to be extended to those who survive the womb. Homosexual activism has muzzled so much of the church as these people force their vile beliefs on us. Pornography and human trafficking are destroying millions. Where is your response?
If Thou canst do something with us and through us, then please, God, do something without us! Bypass us and take up a people who now know Thee not! Leonard RavenhillWhy Revival Tarries: A Classic on Revival

7 Reasons Pastors Are Silent in a Wicked Culture

1. Fear of man.
"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Cor. 10:5).
Fear of man is possibly the most obvious reason, though I don't believe it's the greatest reason in most cases. However, it's true that many pastors do fear confrontation. They lack confidence in their ability to tear down arguments and to advance with boldness. It's the Holy Spirit that enables this boldness, and, sadly, it's true that many pastors are not filled to overflowing with the activity of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
It's also true that many pastors are muzzled by their boards, elders and others who exhibit control in the church. It can be easy to succumb to the demands and expectations of those and others who have the ability to make life difficult if the pastor doesn't move in the direction they expect.
The opposite of the fear of man just very well may be the fear of the Lord. Where is the tremble in our pulpits today? Where is the troubling, weighty terror of God in our churches? What will it take for the fear of man to be displaced by fear of the Lord? It's embarrassing that there is so much fear of man, that pastors today are working overtime to keep the peace instead of calling people into a place of urgent response to a threatening, deadly spirit of the age.
The sword will divide, and those who are bound by fear of man will keep that sword in their sheath, if they possess one at all.
"A man who is intimate with God is not intimidated by man." Leonard Ravenhill
2. Fear of loss.
When Pilate saw that he could not prevail, but rather that unrest was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this righteous Man. See to it yourselves" (Matt. 27:24).
I believe the fear of loss is an even greater motivator for pastors to keep their mouths shut than the fear of man is. Today we have pastors who are wordsmiths instead of prophets, people who are experts at framing their words in such a way that no possibility of offense or disagreement is there. They are keenly focused on being balanced, avoiding controversy and developing a happy, encouraging atmosphere in the church that helps ensure there is no loss. People remain in their seats, money keeps coming in and everybody is happy.
Pilate would have given different leadership if the threat of riots and of losing his position and influence weren't there. He surrendered because he feared loss. While it might be quite offensive to compare a pastor to the man who turned Jesus over for death, we have to honestly consider the scenario. Instead of doing the right thing, Pilate caved. Pastors are turning on Jesus all too often today by rejecting his directives as they would prove to be too costly. Great loss would certainly come.
Pastors are right. The moment they actually have a strong opinion and take a strong position on a controversial topic, they absolutely will experience pruning.
While there are some absolutely amazing churches out there, in most churches you won't hear messages that cause any problems with your theology, cause offense or provoke you in any way. When is the last time you heard a message about abortion, homosexuality, pornography or other cultural issues? When is the last time your pastor has pierced the atmosphere with prophetic unction in response to something happening in our society? In some churches it happens. In most it does not. Why? Fear of loss. Pastors can't afford to lose people, money or their dream of a happy, growing church.
3. They have no prayer life/prophetic unction.
Pastors who don't pray two hours a day aren't worth a dime a dozen." Leonard Ravenhill
This one is obvious and easy. If pastors are not spending time in the fires of intercession, they simply will not be alerted to much of anything in the spirit. On the contrary, it's absolutely impossible to live in the prayer room and not hear God's voice and to discern the crisis in the land.
Spending hours in that place of prayer will result in a burning and an inner tremble that will result in a cry and a shout and a decree from the pulpit on Sunday morning. There will be a fierce spirit that won't be silenced. The fear of man becomes laughable. Fear of loss is a price people are willing to pay. Their passion is no longer building their own dream but rather becomes all about being a voice in the wilderness, tearing down strongholds and refusing to be muzzled!
Peter went from a man driven by fear to a fearless wonder, coming out of 10 days in the prayer room and carrying a Pentecost fire that would not be ignored.
Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested to you by God with powerful works and wonders and signs, which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves know. You have taken Him, who was handed over to you by the ordained counsel and foreknowledge of God, and by lawless hands have crucified and killed Him, whom God raised up by loosening the pull of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it (Acts 2:22-24).
4. They misunderstand the governmental purpose of the church.
"Ekklesia: A governmental gathering under apostolic leadership."
I have long been frustrated at the misunderstanding of the purpose of the church that is epidemic today. The key, foundational purpose of the church is to be a house of prayer for all nations. Further, the ekklesia is a governmental gathering. Under apostolic leadership, the church is called to be a governing force in a city.
Sadly, many pastors and people presume the church to be little else than a place to meet together, to sing and learn and to involve themselves in various ministries, programs and projects. Of course, there are many supplemental ministries and projects that are absolutely appropriate and valuable, but they can never supersede the primary call—to pray and govern.
Pastors should absolutely be responding to the crisis in the land, as they are the ones who have been commissioned to do so! They have been authorized, ordained, anointed and given a mandate to invade the darkness and command in the Spirit!

5. They want to stay out of politics.

Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? Yet now you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring on us this Man's blood."
Peter and the other apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men" (Acts 5:28-29).
Many pastors reveal they intentionally stay out of politics. Often they communicate this as if they are operating in some form of wisdom or caution, when in reality they are abdicating their responsibilities.
We are called to legislate. We are called to govern. If the church is a governmental agency, as I shared in the previous point, it makes absolutely no sense that pastors would not address political issues in the nation. Often a desire to avoid politics has to do with fear of man and fear of loss. They understand the moment they get political is the moment they draw a line in the sand. We need leaders, not managers. We need people who will boldly draw that line and make it very clear that they won't be stopped as they deal with the crisis at hand.
We wouldn't be as concerned about finding the right candidate for office, whether mayor of the city or president of the United States, if our church leaders had some guts and gave political leadership themselves.
Peter responded to politics just as we must. We must obey God rather than men.

6. They just want to preach the Bible.

Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves (James 1:22).
It sure sounds spiritual to say they just want to focus on the Bible, but it's not possible to only do that. You can't simply preach the Bible and ignore what's going on in culture. What do you do with all the accounts of the apostles and others who confronted culture, wickedness and the spirit of the age?
If they are preaching and teaching the Bible, they must model their lives and ministries after the people they are studying. We need pastors with the spirit of Elijah. Where are those who lead like Gideon and tear down ungodly cultural altars?
We must, without question, not only be hearers but also doers. If these heroes of the faith confronted culture, than we must as well.

7. Wrong theologies and a culture of positivity.

"One of these days, some simple soul will pick up the book of God, read it, and believe it. Then the rest of us will be embarrassed." Leonard Ravenhill
There are streams today that only focus on what is positive and encouraging. They presume to find strength there, and it gives license to ignore the negative and troubling issues of the day.
These are false-grace tainted doctrines, and they are a threat to the call for the church to go on the offensive against wickedness in the world.
We need prophetic leaders who will speak with unction and with fire in their guts, people who will aggressively assault the kingdom of darkness and deal directly with the great evil that's increasing in power.

Prophetic Voices, Rise Up

The days of carefully guarding our churches, salaries, security and reputations are over. It's time to let churches die if necessary. We need prophetic voices behind the pulpits, people who will scare away the pretenders and provoke the sleepers and confront the wickedness that is among us.
The demonic horde that has been released upon the world has been mostly uncontested. Their threats have gone unmet. We need governmental leaders in churches to finally stand firm for truth and to tear down arguments and altars with no thought of their own safety or wellbeing.

Kim Clement's Latest Prophecies Are Happening - THE ELIJAH LIST

Prophecies by My Friend, Kim Clement! He Was Suddenly Struck Down and Then..He Was GONE!

Kim Clement THE ELIJAH LIST Aug 23, 2017

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
Kim Clement was my dear friend. But suddenly he was taken from us, the Body of Christ. None of us saw this coming. But Kim was with us and suddenly he was gone!
Kim was a unique kind of prophetic voice that often spoke in parables and riddles...and we are continuing to see many of his prophetic words over the years come to pass before our very eyes.
Some of Kim Clement's last prophetic words are being shared over and over lately...especially words regarding North Korea, Iran and the USA.
I encourage you to read through some of his last prophetic words spoken, which are NOW words for sure.
Some of what Kim shares is:
"Do not be afraid of North Korea, do not be afraid of Iran; do not be afraid of the nations, for in 2016 everything will change," says the Lord. "There will be a sound of liberty from the White House. There will be a sound of prayers from the White House.
"Pennsylvania Avenue shall be surrounded by people that will pray and ask Me to intervene and I shall," says the Lord. "So what is the foreboding sound? It is the sound of the enemies of America living in America. Those are your greatest enemies – who call themselves citizens, but they are enemies of the Cross and enemies of the nation and they shall be dealt with."
Do me a favor and please share this word...and as mighty intercessors of Christ...let's stand together and pray for our beloved nation of America. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Prophesied on August 8th, 2015 - From The Den:
"There Shall Be One Exposure After the Other"
The nations, the nations are in uproar, as we all know. But the Spirit of God has spoken clearly. These are His words: "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. And yet you see the fear and the trembling from My people. What is this? What fear would be instilled in you by the media that paints the pictures of doom, gloom – the prognosticators of this time? And they say, 'How shall we rid ourselves of ISIS and pacts made with Iran, our enemies?'"
(Kim holds up cell phone) The Spirit of God says, "This will do it. This tiny instrument that people use every second – I shall do something that shall expose what is taking place in Iran, Iraq, throughout the Middle East, but Iran specifically.
"There shall be an exposure and they shall say, 'Such a tiny thing brought the truth out and such a tiny thing brought down that which was supposed to be upright,' and yet they are presently at this very moment pacting together with Russia and laughing at this President and laughing at this nation." God says, "I will have the last laugh. Why? Because, as I have said throughout the summer, there shall be one exposure after the other." (Photo via Free Stock Photos)
And then I suddenly saw a word that I don't enjoy speaking. That word was "revival." And I said, "Lord, what do You mean 'revival'? He said, "Kim, the people are praying for North KoreaIranChina, yet the Church is growing in China faster than anywhere else in the world; yet the Church in Iran, underneath, is greater than the Church in the west. No, this nation needs revival."
God says, "They have died and said, 'The naturalism, the naturalism, secular humanism.' I'm exposing them one minute at a time, and even as you have seen the truth about the little children that are being destroyed and how they laugh about it," God said, "today I show you that I am about to pour upon My people, those who have given, those who have sowed, and those who have stood the test of time – I'm about to pour upon them unimaginable favor," says the Spirit of God.
"I will heal bodies like I've never healed before. I will raise even the dead – as they've said it cannot happen, I will do signs and wonders. Not signs and blunders, but signs and wonders," says the Lord, "as this earth has never seen. I will begin in China, then I will move through Iran and the Middle East, and then I shall flame this country again under the leadership of a righteous President,"says the Lord.
Prophesied on August 22nd, 2015 - From The Den:
God Says, "Why Have You Chosen Fear?"
Today I pray that the Holy Spirit would speak to every person all over the world. Some of you seeking direction – some of you are fearful. I get letters every day from people that are fearful, but the Spirit of God said, "Why have you chosen fear? What is it that causes My people to look to fear, to say we must go back?" (Photo via Pixabay)
God's Spirit says to America and to the nations of the earth, "Do I stand fearing? When I spoke to Joshua, I said, 'Do not fear.' When I speak to you today, many have said, 'What about the tsunami that is coming to New York?'" God said, "There is no tsunami coming to New York at this time. I am the Lord, the Creator. The earth obeys Me and I have set certain things to happen, but at this time," God said, "no tsunami. I will show you that there shall be a spiritual tidal wave that shall lift the people to a higher place. Enough of this fear mongering," says the Spirit of God!
"Look at Israel, as they are now being rocketed because of hand-shaking with Iran, your enemy." But God says, "They have not shook My hand! They have not taken My hand in a covenant. Only those who have taken My hand in a covenant shall see the release of My glory in this end-time and it is coming," says the Lord.
"It is coming like a mighty, rushing wind. As it was in the day of Acts on the Day of Pentecost, so it is coming again that My people may breathe the breath of God, that the paracletos may once again stand as the 'Comforter' of mankind. I will not hold back," says the Lord. "This is an hour where triumph shall be heard from the north to the south and to the east to the west," says the Lord!

Prophesied on August 29th, 2015 - From The Den:
"America, I Created You Unique...It Is Not Time For Destruction"
"Where was I when this nation began? People lived in their fields, prayed to their God, gave their hands, their feet and then their blood for this nation that I call precious, My darling America. I was there as they stood as families together watching loved ones die. I was there. Hear the notes of the violin, for they played and brought sounds from nations in Europe, Britain, and then created their own sound. America, you have imitated nobody, for I created you unique.
"Where were they when men stood together and signed the Declaration of Independence? Where were they when they said, 'Under God, One God.' I was there," says the Lord. (Photo via Wikimedia)
"And today, there is still a remnant that will not bow to the naturalists, to the secular humanists, to the atheists. No, it is not time for the destruction of this nation. There will come a time where the wrath of God shall be poured out upon the nations of the earth but today I will bring recovery and restoration, and once again America will sing My songs and pray My prayers and declare under God we stand," says the Lord.
Those are your greatest enemies – who call themselves citizens, but they are enemies of the Cross and enemies of the nation and they shall be dealt with.
You want judgment," says the Lord? "Watch. Watch the atheists. Watch. You want judgment? Then watch those that have risen up against Me and said, 'Perhaps we shall embrace Baal-Allah. Perhaps we shall embrace that religion. Maybe we shall embrace Sharia law.' Ha! I laugh at you because the spirit of Elijah is in this nation and Jezebel shall not stand," says the Lord.
"A Combination of Sounds..."
"Blow the trumpet, blow the shofar! Blow it! For there shall be a combination of the sound of Israel and the sound of the United States of America – a new sound, and I will take the Spanish music and I will take the Latin, and I will put it together and a unique generation will begin to rap and begin to sing with the combination of the sound of Israel and the sound of America and the sound of Central America and the sound of South America," says the Lord! (Photo via flickr)
"The Lord God of Israel is a jealous God. I am the Lord Your God. I am a jealous God. I will not allow the idols of Baal-Allah, the idols of the Middle East – I shall not allow these idols to be worshipped. This is a time for sobriety, to be sober. Why? Because men have been blinded. There has been poverty, religious poverty, and yet there is a sound."
We pray, Lord, as You came to this nation centuries ago, give us one more chance. Have mercy upon us! Have mercy upon us! Give us one more chance and we will arise, and we pray this in the Name of the Lord God of Israel, Yeshua! Yeshua! Yeshua!

The life of Kim Clement was an expression that has defined "the prophet" for the modern era. This has made his journey unique; a journey that has taken his inspired message to schools and colleges, churches and synagogues, alleyways and prison cells. Kim's prophetic gift was a magnet that has drawn a broad audience, as he has whispered to kings and inspired prisoners; his path through life was an exciting adventure. His diverse and extemporaneous perspective gained him notoriety that transcended culture, race and religion, and placed him onto a world platform. He has performed at the Rose Bowl Stadium in California, Times Square in New York City, Mt. Carmel in Israel, and even the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Rick Joyner: It's No Accident the GOP Debate Was Right Before 11/11 - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

Rick Joyner: It's No Accident the GOP Debate Was Right Before 11/11

Rick Joyner aligned the most recent GOP debate date with the prophecy in Isaiah 11.

"I think it's a message from God, and it is an important one," the prophetic voice said during Prophetic Perspectives With Rick Joyner. "Isaiah 11:11 speaks of another chance. It's where He says He will restore Israel to their land a second time."
Even though we make repeated mistakes, God doesn't give up on us, Joyner says.
The same applies to politicians. Click here to watch the video to see why.

Rick Joyner Shares Secret to Getting Through End Times - Jessilyn Justice, Charisma News

Rick Joyner Shares Secret to Getting Through End Times

Think back to Sunday School and the flannel graph with paper Jesus leading the paper sheep.
The illustration is one of the oldest lessons teachers give children, instructing them how sheep know a shepherd's voice.
For prophetic voice Rick Joyner, this metaphor should be the guiding force as Christians live their daily lives during the end times.
"Most people, we won't know until eternity, we won't know how much harder our lives were because we didn't know His voice and didn't follow His voice," Joyner tells Jim Bakker. "As we get closer and closer to the end, (knowing His voice) is going to be life and death that we hear from Him."

Prophetic Voice Offers Reason to Hope After Vote for Immorality

Lana Vawser says there is reason for hope in America.

Prophetic Insight, from Charisma Media
As someone who has a great love and heart for the United States of America, I was grieved along with fellow believers at the decision from the Supreme Court "redefining" marriage.
I felt the discouragement and sadness of many in the USA, the questions, the feeling of "not understanding," the confusion and the feeling of not having their "voices" heard. Many disheartened that they are now faced with an outcome they either did not agree with or believed for.
As I pondered this before the Lord suddenly the words flooded my heart.
"It is always darkest before the dawn. Darkest before the moment of greater victory."
I was left with the sense that for many that are feeling this "outcome" as great darkness that there is still hope for the USA and to encourage the people of God in the United States, that even though for them it may seem like 'defeat' in many ways, God is not finished with the USA. The words flooded my heart again that the Lord gave me months ago "There is still gold in the USA."
Even in the midst of a nation that has taken a stand against biblical principles and away from the God-ordained and created definition of marriage, He is the one who defines marriage, not a court system. Certainly there are spiritual laws, we reap what we sow, but I felt the heart of God for this people to not give up hope. Do not give up hope, even when you feel like you are at the end of your rope. Even when you are faced with a situation such as this that is disheartening and discouraging, can I encourage you to continue to contend for the USA. Continue to call her forth into her destiny. Despite the "mess" that is before your eyes, continue to call out the gold in the USA. There is still gold in the USA and the Lord has a great destiny for the USA.
I felt the Lord saying:
"Many have perceived this as the enemy having victory, but I have greater victory planned!"
I then saw myself standing above what looked like a huge map of the United States of America and there was mess everywhere. It looked like things were being turned upside down, it seemed like there was chaos everywhere. The people of God were looking on at the chaos going on around them, and were giving up hope. Committing the USA to doom. Do not align yourself with the darkness. Do not align your words with darkness. Suddenly, I saw the fire of God begin to burn pathways through the nation for His people to walk through. As they began to walk upon these paths, angelic hosts on either side of these paths began to sing LOUDLY. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, HEAR THE VICTORY! HERE IS THE VICTORY. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, HEAR THE VICTORY! HERE IS THE VICTORY."
Suddenly words boomed through every part of my being:
"I am raising up an army in the United States of America that will not be swayed by what they see and will not give up. In the midst of areas of darkness in the nation, I am raising up My Church. This is the greatest hour for My people in the United States of America. In amongst the darkness, I am positioning My people as they stay close to Me, to shine like never before. As more darkness has seemingly begun to fall upon the nation, My Church is about to rise and shine (Isaiah 60) like never before and show the nation of the United States what victory looks like. An army not moved by victory in the "natural" but moving from a place of assured continual victory by standing strong in Me. Church of America, this is your finest hour! It's time to arise. Some of the greatest demonstrations of My power, and My love are going to be seen in this day. Do not give up hope. For in the darkness, you will find your finest hour. It is always darkest before the dawn. The dawn of the sons and daughters of Glory arising to show the nation what true victory looks like."
People of the United States, I call you friends, and I love your nation. I stand with you. I contend with you. I believe with you. Despite what your eyes see, do not give up hope. For this is the finest hour for the Church of the United States of America. You are going to shine brighter than you have ever shone as you stay close to Him. Call out the gold in the United States. She still has a destiny. There is still gold within her. Show the nation what true victory looks like by walking in your God given authority and destiny. The darkness many of you are seeing is a great opportunity to shine His light and Glory in ways you have never before.
It really is time to arise!

John Belt: How The Prophetic Voice Helps The Church

John Belt:
The Elijah List

John Belt
A Heart of Pursuit

God is wanting to help churches that have a heart to pursue Him in this hour. He is making great efforts, reaching out to help His people. There are adjustments, renovations, and changes He desires to make in congregations, so He is sending help through His prophets that have eyes to see and ears to hear. Sometimes it takes someone from the outside to get a better perspective of what is going on internally in a congregation.

Revelation 2:1-2, 4 To the angel of the Church of Ephesus write, "These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 'I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil...Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.'"

Looking at the Churches addressed in the Book of Revelation, we see that each Church had issues to be dealt with. I love the way God deals with things because He always begins, not by listing what is wrong,
but encouraging them with things that are right

It is at the end that He brings the tough stuff that the Churches need to deal with. We can also see this in the letters of Paul. He begins with greetings, salutations, and encourages them in how great they are doing in various areas – then he speaks the hard truth that they need to hear and the adjustments that they need to make to keep them on the narrow path that properly represents the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Embrace The Prophetic Voice

So it is in this hour. Leaders of local congregations must wisely, prayerfully, and discerningly open themselves to legitimate exterior prophetic voices that have eyes to see what is going on in their congregations

Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. As we move into this new hour of the Church, those that will fully and wisely embrace the five-fold ministry will enjoy the fruit of living by God's scales and balances. All of the offices (apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, and evangelist) bring the fullness of God's scales and balances to a congregation so that people may grow into the fullness and stature of Christ (see Ephesians 4:11-13).

God loves His Church. Therefore He brings help from the outside to sustain that which remains that it may grow rather than be taken away. There is cutting edge of the prophetic voice that brings a clear challenge to pastors, because so many times it goes against the grain of who they are or how they would typically view things.

Just as Jesus comes in forms that may offend our natural mind, we must be humble enough to recognize the form that He chooses to reveal Himself to us.

What we can know for sure is that it is always for our good, to help us grow, to prune us as needed that we may flourish in the courts of His presence

As Paul said, pruning is not pleasant at the time, but later bears the fruit of righteousness in our lives. A wise man loves good, helpful correction. We must learn to love His pruning, because we know that it will help us dramatically.

Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

If you are a pastor, I would encourage you to open your heart to pray that God would give you eyes to see and ears to hear what He is wanting to show and say to you. What adjustments need made? Maybe He will reveal these things directly to you, or maybe He will come to you in a form you may not expect that would be contrary to your normal culture.

God knows how to shake us up and shake things up so that we won't find our confidence in anything other than Him.

Prospering Through Prophetic Release

In the Book of Ezra they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai and Zechariah. Here we see the power of the prophetic voice in action. The people heeded the prophets and they prospered in building.
Ezra 6:14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo.

And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel...
Local congregations represent people, the living stones, that God is building for a habitation of His presence. God is looking for local congregations that will commit to the prophetic preparations necessary to be sanctuaries of His presence.

The Holy Spirit cannot be a side item, rather central, as He is God manifested in the earth. He is Christ in us the hope of glory. As we welcome Him into our hearts and congregations, we welcome the nature of God in His holiness in our midst, because He is the "Holy" Spirit.

The litmus test of whether we are welcoming the Holy Spirit is if we are rejecting that which is displeasing to God, profane and unholy. Jesus did. The fear of the Lord is the hatred of evil and sin (see Proverbs 8:13). God wants a pure people that are committed to His heart in purity. Anything less is settling for less than the best God has for us.

Welcome the Holy Spirit, ask the Lord for grace, wisdom, discernment, and His prophetic input into your life and congregation. Be honest, and see what God sees from the outside that you cannot see from the inside. As we yield our hearts to His presence, He is faithful to lead us in His ways, help us on our journey, and build up His Body for His glory.
