With that has come a time of standing and believing...just as Alane Haynes shares here:

We are all standing on and believing to see the manifestation of the promises of God we have heard by His Spirit within us. The waiting is hard, and discouragement is ever at the door tempting us to return to the land of "comfortable but not fulfilling." I personally have had to battle negative thoughts of doubt and unbelief—the lies that it was better before with the temptation to settle (or quit altogether).

"Open Doors Are Manifesting Before You"

Over the passing months I have been hearing, "Get your house in order." The necessity of this has been increasing and I have been responding, personally, as Holy Spirit leads. The other day He took me to Hebrews 11:14-15 (I did not realize until afterwards that the date was November 14).

"For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned." (Hebrews 11:14-15 KJV)

The Battle of Doubt and Unbelief

"Doors are being manifested so that we will see what is in our hearts and turn to complete separation unto the Lord."

We are all standing on and believing to see the manifestation of the promises of God we have heard by His Spirit within us. The waiting is hard, and discouragement is ever at the door tempting us to return to the land of "comfortable but not fulfilling." I personally have had to battle negative thoughts of doubt and unbelief—the lies that it was better before with the temptation to settle (or quit altogether).

Genesis 3:1 tells us that the enemy is very subtle in his temptations. The word subtle, according to Strong's Concordance, means "shrewd, sly and crafty."

Manifesting Open Doors

Holy Spirit then gave me a vision of a vast array of doors and showed me that doors are manifested before us by the desires of our hearts and thoughts of our minds. He had me re-read the beginning of Hebrews 11, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" (Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV). 

There is a framing of our houses and an opening of doors to our future by the words of our mouths that come out of our hearts and minds. 

Mindful, according to Strong's Concordance, means "to exercise memory, recollect; to rehearse; to make mention." What are we rehearsing in our minds and out of our mouths?

The Israelites did not enter the promised land because of unbelief. They didn't stay mindful of what God had told them. If you are hearing this, there is a measure of faith being added to those seemingly dormant promises. Declare, "Dry promises live!" Declare the Word of the Lord. It is time to come forth. Even as the bones grow new and muscle upon them, words of faith spoken are adding layers of substance to form open doors before you!

A Disconnect in Our Faith-Activating Process

Hebrews 11:13 gives us a process to activate our faith. "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth" (KJV).

We "see" a promise from the Lord—a rhema word, a vision, a dream, an impression upon our spirit that bears witness that it is for us. What do we do with it to become persuaded of it? We meditate on it, search out the Scriptures showing that God did it for others (He's not a respecter of persons), and receive confirmations. Then we are persuaded of them. Yet, I am hearing the Lord saying that they aren't being fully embraced, and there has been a disconnection to the confession of faith because of that. There are other things that we are embracing in our hearts and minds which are displacing the fullness that must be in place to confess in full faith.

Fully Persuaded

"What are we rehearsing in our minds and out of our mouths?"

Romans 4:16-22 tells us that when Abraham received the word of promise for a son, even while in the natural, it was impossible because of age, but was "fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised." "FULLY persuaded" and his "faith" was imputed to him as righteousness. He embraced the promise and received the reward.

As I was pondering the connection between, "Get your house in order," and the, "Doors of opportunity," I heard the Lord say, "I have set before you an open door (Revelation 3:8), and you hold the key. The key is seeing it and walk through by MY faith. I AM the Author and Finisher of your faith...real faith; faith that comes by hearing, and hearing by MY words.

"I AM the Word made manifest before you. Your words are manifesting doors before your eyes. I am extending supernatural grace to you right now to be able to discern between good and evil, to see the doors that are from the enemy, those that are from your own heart, and My doors. Receive My grace and be aligned fully. I am enabling you to get your house in order."

We are HIS house IF "...we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." (Hebrews 3:6 KJV)

I am hearing so clearly that there are doors manifesting before us and it is critical that we keep our faith high, keeping the visions fresh in our mind's eye, and persuading ourselves by the reality of God's goodness and faithfulness. We embrace this fully by seeing ourselves as separated unto God and aligning spirit, soul and body to Him and confessing the same. Our tongues are the rudders of the ship, or in this case, the framing of our house.

A Time of Birthing

We are entering a time of birthing. There is a great pressing, and even at the last moments before the birth there may be a turning for proper positioning. Doors are being manifested so that we will see what is in our hearts and turn to complete separation unto the Lord. (Photo via Unsplash)

I am hearing that many are frustrated and tired of the waiting, but the Lord is saying, "Trust Me in this time of waiting. I hear your groaning...tired of anticipating. Do not grow weary, but trust and rest. I am working in this and will bring forth the best. I am preparing a place for you and others. Many are not yet fitted as sisters and brothers. Feel the urgency of the time; I am jealous for what is Mine. You know that I am a faithful rewarder. I heard the Lord say: "There is a changing of the guard taking place in Australia and I am decreeing: 'ACCELERATE.' The major shifts and changes that will take place in Australia are My divine moving and rearranging for this new era and the acceleration of My plans and purposes. For what I have done in the last era has been glorious and it is now time to prepare and for My divine rearranging to take place to usher in the new move of My Spirit and the new wine I am releasing.

What happens in Australia influences many nations across the globe. Whether from Australia or not, this is a word to get behind and pray into for the Church at large!

"The Word Over You is No Longer 'Delay' but 'Now Are Your Greatest Days'"

I heard the Lord saying, "Australia, the word over you is no longer 'delay' but 'now are your greatest days!'" Suddenly, I could hear the sound of birthing, like a woman in labor, and I kept hearing the words, "It is time to forge and bring forth. It is time to forge and bring forth." The words "forge" and "bring forth" were booming in my spirit so strongly so I decided to look them up.

Forge means: To make or shape by heating it in a fire of furnace and beating or hammering it. To produce a copy or imitation of (a document, signature, banknote, or work of art) for the purpose of deception. Bring Forth means: To give birth to, to deliver, to bear.

As I sat with the Lord over this word, I heard the Lord say over Australia: "I am breaking delay and these are your greatest days, but they will not come without fire. Australia you are moving into a season of fire. You are moving into a season of seeing My fire come like never before. The fire of My love will burn brightly. The fire of My presence will ignite. The fire of My presence will purify, cleanse and refine, for it is time for Australia to move further into her destiny. But, My people, the greatest days will not come without fires of adversity. When the fires of adversity rage, do not be distracted by those fires, but know that the fire of My presence will fall heavily upon the altars that are prepared for Me."

"Holiness will be restored to My Church and a deeper cleansing of the prophetic to release My words with greater purity, power, and weight from My heart to pierce the nation and bring forth major change."

I then heard a loud decree booming in the Spirit: "The days of Isaiah 60 are upon the Body of Christ in Australia. Isaiah 60 is being burned across the nation, but the Isaiah 60 army will be birthed out of the fires of adversity.

"The days of harvest are here, the days of revival of here, the days of a great outpouring in Australia are here. There is a major shift taking place where the fire of My presence will burn brightly and the governmental anointing upon My five-fold will rapidly increase. But, My people, you must remain close to My heart. You must remain deep in My Word to hear My voice and to hear what My heart is saying."

I Am Looking for Those Who Are Yielded to Me

"I am releasing a clarion call over the Body of Christ in Australia right now, to be drawing closer to Me and listening to what I am saying. For there is an invitation into the library of Heaven over Australia to decree what I am releasing. I am inviting My people in Australia into the library to read and see what I have decreed, but in order to enter into this room with Me there needs to be a laying down of old wineskins. 

There needs to be a laying down of agendas and impure motives and a deeper yieldedness to My Word, My way and My divine timing and placing to bring forth and carry the new wine that is about to be released across the nation.

"For the shaking will increase and the fire will get hotter, but the manifestation of My glory will be unlike anything that has ever been seen. I am looking for those who are yielding to Me and My way. I am looking for those who are seeking My heart and where I am going and moving to see My name glorified and lifted high. There is a major birthing taking place over Australia right now. The pains of groaning from the 'bringing forth' are loud; and now, more than ever, the sound of praising My name and sound of yielding to Me, Jesus Christ, must be heard to usher forth the greatest move of My Spirit that has ever been seen in Australia."

Changing of the Guard in Australia: Accelerate!

I heard the Lord say: "There is a changing of the guard taking place in Australia and I am decreeing: 'ACCELERATE.' The major shifts and changes that will take place in Australia are My divine moving and rearranging for this new era and the acceleration of My plans and purposes. 

For what I have done in the last era has been glorious and it is now time to prepare and for My divine rearranging to take place to usher in the new move of My Spirit and the new wine I am releasing.

"There will be a great honoring of what has been and what is to come as My heartbeat is heard. The changing of the guard is necessary in a new era. It is imperative, in this new era, to embrace My repositioning, to embrace My divine rearranging, to embrace My divine timing and know that how My hand moves is perfect and it pours in greater increase and overflow."

Jesus is Using a Hammer to Forge

I had a vision recently and in this vision I saw Jesus. He was so large and He was standing over the nation of Australia. His feet were large and He began walking across the nation, covering every part. He would extend His right arm and in His hand was a hammer. He struck Australia with the hammer and in the spirit the word "FORGE" began to resound and I could hear Jeremiah 23:29 being declared: "'Does not My Word burn like fire?' says the LORD. 'Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashes a rock to pieces?'" (Photo via Pixabay)

As the hammer of the Lord came down and struck the nation of Australia, I saw it first come upon the Body of Christ and then spread into the nation. The power of His Word was coming to break and smash that which was not aligned with His Word and His ways.

As I watched this take place I saw a vision over the Body of Christ in Australia and the nation. Jesus was sitting at a bench with the hammer and I watched as fire and heat were being used to "forge" and "mold." It was a deep and glorious shaping in the fire of God to forge and shape the Body of Christ and nation to receive what He is pouring out. I saw Jesus begin to decree Psalm 24:7-9 over the nation of Australia:

"So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for He is about to come through you. You ask, 'Who is this Glory-King?' The Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here He comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in." (The Passion Translation)

The King of Glory is coming! The time has come for a major demonstration of Him stepping in and coming through His people in a way that has never been seen before. His power is being demonstrated, the harvest is being brought in, the sound of revival is beginning to resound and the fire of His presence and purification is making the Bride of Christ in Australia ready.

Can You Hear the Sound of Holiness?

I then heard Him say, "Can you hear the sound of holiness? The sound of holiness will resound in the Body of Christ and in the nation as I FORGE. For in the forging will be birthed the awe and wonder of who I am again. I am REINTRODUCING Myself in power, glory and majesty to Australia.

"Holiness will be restored to My Church and a deeper cleansing of the prophetic to release My words with greater purity, power, and weight from My heart to pierce the nation and bring forth major change. Australia, I have called you as a nation that will shine bright, a nation that will shine with My holiness, and nothing stands against My plans and purposes. I will prevail. I am removing the veil of deception over the nation. I will prevail! This deep forging is needed. This deep forging is required. This deep forging is imperative in My people to be able to carry the great outpouring I am releasing and to steward the greatest move of My Spirit in the nation with purity and without game playing."

The Gavel of My Justice

"There needs to be a laying down of agendas and impure motives and a deeper yieldedness to My Word, My way and My divine timing and placing to bring forth and carry the new wine that is about to be released across the nation."

I heard the Lord speak again: "The gavel of My justice is coming down in this new era unlike ever before. A new era has been decreed and released and the power of My Word and Spirit is going to come down upon the Body of Christ and the nation, breaking injustice. In this new era there will be mighty demonstrations in the Body of Christ and in the nation of Australia of My justice. For I am going to show Myself strong. I am going to show Myself as the King of Glory, the Warrior-King who cannot be overcome.

"It is time for My Bride to arise and advance in Australia. For she will not be afraid of fires, but will run with greater boldness and empowerment of My Spirit towards the fires of injustice, and bring radical transformation and shift. My name will be decreed and resounded loudly in the fires of injustice in this new era that will bring major demonstrations of My power and My purpose."

"Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!"(Isaiah 30:18)

The Scepter of the Lord

I began to see the scepter of the Lord coming upon the
Body of Christ and then flowing out into the nation of Australia. The Lord spoke to me: "The scepter of My favor and positioning will come upon radical obedience in this new era. There will be major demonstrations of My favor to position My people in great increase in places of great influence to speak My name, My Word and My Kingdom principles. For I have decreed that Australia will have great favor as a nation to release greater heavenly strategy, fire and provision to the rest of the world. For I have decreed that Australia will be a prototype for many places for what I am going to do and release in this new era.

Australia, I have called you to release heavenly vision to the earth in greater ways than you have seen, and that is why there has been a major battle of deception, blinding and complacency in vision in many ways. But I have decreed that now is the time for change. I am decreeing: 'Australia, AWAKE.' And NOW, suddenly in this new era, will the eyes of Australia be opened to see Me and see My power and the eyes of the rest of the world UPON Australia."

My Fire is Bringing a Cleansing, a Sharpening of Accuracy and Increase

I heard the Lord speak again: "The enemy has attempted to muddy prophetic vision in Australia but now I decree My fire is bringing a cleansing, a sharpening of My accuracy and increase."

I had a vision and saw many different ways the enemy has attempted to hinder prophetic vision in Australia up until now. I watched as the enemy whispered lies to bring division, competition and impurity, but the Lord has been dealing with it and the fire of His presence and purification will continue to deal with the "muddiness" that built up. In this new era there will be a greater increase of prophetic vision and accuracy from prophets in Australia and words that do not fall to the ground.

The Lord's voice then thundered: "I am now raising up the plumbline prophets. They are My prophets who will step forward in boldness and love and decree the truth of My Word and righteousness. There will be an even greater increase of the plumbline prophets in the nation that will call My people forth out of complacency, out of compromise, and release My heart and My love that will see My Word shake My people awake, catapulting them further into the invitation of yieldedness and radical abandonment – further into their identity and destiny in Me."

Stay Grounded and Founded in My Word

The Lord has been impressing an urgency in my heart in the last few months for the necessity of being GROUNDED AND FOUNDED in the Word of God. I heard the Lord say: "In this new era, My people must be deep in My Word and in the Gospels to grow in deeper revelation of who I am and My nature and the power of My Word. The way to discern My way and My heavenly strategy and heartbeat is to stay deep in My Word and to be continually asking for wisdom and discernment. For being grounded and founded in My Word will position you to HEAR THE SOUND OF MY HAMMER! For many will declare: 'This is the sound of the Lord's hammer,' but it will not be. For the sound of My hammer will resound the truth of My Word and My nature and My resounding voice. "Australia, your greatest days have arrived as I decree the Isaiah 60 days upon you. Australia, you shall see My fire, you shall see My love and you shall see My goodness like never before. My people in Australia, it is time to be forged to carry My glory and see the nation changed. In the forging will come an increase of faith that will resonate deep within My people to align and believe My decree of Isaiah 66:8: 'Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.'"

Jesus unraveled a huge banner over the nation of Australia and it said: "Never Been Seen Before!"

I then heard His decree: "What I am about to do, what I am about to pour out has never been seen before. Australia, your new era and greatest days have arrived. Arise and shine for your light has come! The greatest birthing of My Spirit that has been seen in Australia is imminent. It's time!" (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Kim Clement went home to be with the Lord Thanksgiving week. Now, many are giving thanks for the prophetic worshipper. 

Clement had experienced health issues, including a brain bleed, for more than a year before his untimely death. He was 60. 

"Kim and Jane have been our close friends for over two decades, and our lives and ministries seemed at times intertwined," said TBN's Matt Crouch. "Kim revealed profound biblical truths with his unique style of prophetic teaching and worship—truths and revelations that have literally helped shape our ministry and our future. Today, Kim is with his beloved Jesus. And while heaven is a richer place, he will surely be missed by all of us who were impacted by his ministry and friendship."

Carman Licciardello, commonly known as Carman, offered his thoughts and prayers. He escaped death in a long cancer battle.

"I've been there to help Kim through this tough time, sending messages, visiting, building a 10,000-name prayer chain, so my heart is broken today," said Carman. "They don't have a gofundme site set up, but I do. If you would be so kind as to make a generous donation, I would make sure they get it. It would be such a wonderful act of kindness at a time like this. Thank you."

Cindy Jacobs told me: "Kim Clement was one of the most anointed prophetic psalmists I have ever known. As I heard of his passing, I had a vision of him in heaven. He was leading the song of the nations with tens of thousands of voices. As they sang, new sounds were released into the earth, and they were then sung on earth. The great cloud of witnesses is rejoicing today that he has come home to release his voice into these new songs."

Why did Clement die early? I addressed some of the unfortunate speculation in a column earlier this week. It's OK to as these questions, but it's not OK to make presumptions about Clement's walk with the Lord.

Some prophetic voices believe the nation shifted, spiritually, Oct. 21, 2016, on what may go down as one of the most important days in American history.

Largely unnoticed, 1,000 Native American Indian tribes from the United States and Canada collectively forgave the U.S. government for breaking treaties with their ancestors during a public ceremony on the National Mall.

The National Day of Prayer for First Nations, held near the Washington Monument, included intercessory petitions, proclamations and declarations of forgiveness by leaders from All Tribes D.C., a fellowship of Christians representing 1,000 American Indians from the U.S. and Canada.

A full-blooded Euchee (Yuchi) Indian, Negiel Bigpond coordinated the first-ever national prayer gathering of Native Americans in the nation's capital.

Like the annual May observance of the National Day of Prayer, signed into law by President Harry S. Truman in 1952, First Nations intercessors will convene again in 2017 during the third week of October.

Dr. Billy Graham, whose son and daughter have served on the National Day of Prayer Task Force, is a prophetic voice who believes that forgiveness by Native Americans might be part of a spiritual awakening within the nation.

"The Native American has been a sleeping giant," Graham writes. "He is awakening. The original Americans could become the evangelists who will help win America for Christ. Remember the forgotten people."

Bigpond agrees that Native Americans have taken a good first step toward aiding national awakening by extending forgiveness to the nation.

"We chose to forgive the U.S., whether it asked for it or not," said Bigpond, a fourth-generation pastor who offered forgiveness and spoke blessings over the nation alongside other tribal prayer warriors.

Bigpond, who has evangelized on 143 reservations, believes the U.S. has suffered spiritual consequences for breaking treaties with Native Americans.

In Scripture, breaking a vow or treaty brings a curse on the land, and the U.S. government broke every treaty it made with the Native American tribes, according to prophetic voice Rick Joyner, who called the prayer event one of the most important in the nation's history from his ministry headquarters in North and South Carolina.

"This is very real," Joyner said. "National injustices are a major issue we're facing now, whether we want to or not, and this is a big one."

Bigpond is an apostle at Morning Star Evangelistic Center in Oklahoma, which is affiliated with Joyner's MorningStar Ministries.

The nation's crises parallel conditions on the reservations, according to Bigpond, a certified drug- and alcohol-abuse counselor.

"We don't want the nation or our people to suffer further," said Bigpond, who holds a doctorate in divinity and is a Euchee tribe chief.

Mary Faus, who represented the Ojibway and Cree tribes at the prayer event, said the unity and power of forgiving a nation that's never apologized or asked for it was amazing.

"We believe this has shifted the nation and we are already feeling the effects of what was accomplished in D.C.," said Faus, who is the director of a house of prayer in Pennsylvania and lead intercessor with husband Jon at Hope of Nations Christian Center.

Joyner agrees that forgiveness and love are major weapons in waging spiritual warfare on behalf of the nation.

"This is one of the most noble acts of true Christian charity I have ever heard of by any people group," Joyner said. "Very few may even know that anything special happened.

"Some of the greatest things happen that way, and only a very few who have their eyes open looking in the right direction, see them," Joyner said.

Portions of a proclamation posted on the All Tribes D.C. website were read by tribal leaders gathered on the National Mall.

The proclamation reads in part, "We forgive every atrocity and broken covenant ever designed to destroy us as a race of people. We break every curse and renounce every lie purposed to decimate us as human beings.

"We forgive the government, the church and the educational system for the use of residential schools that attempted to destroy our culture and silence our voice as people by stealing our language.

"We stand in the gap for those who are unable or unwilling to forgive, and call upon the Master of Life, to forgive us for harboring unforgiveness, resentment, hatred, bitterness and rage.

"We repent of every curse spoken over America by our ancestors and we release the power of forgiveness to bring healing and the peace of Creator God to this land.

"We declare and decree that our voice will no longer be silenced and that this nation and the world will hear our voice as we speak life and blessings over the Americas and the world.

"We stand in faith believing that our citizenship lies in heaven, and we too, all await the return of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Being all of one mind and heart, having compassion for one another, we declare our love as brothers; not returning evil for the evil perpetuated against us, but on the contrary we choose to release a blessing, knowing that the Father of us all has called us as his children to bless and not curse, that we may inherit a blessing. Amen."

Word for 2015 - The Spirit of Elijah

The Holy Spirit gave me a word for the coming year of 2015 as it relates to the Spirit of Elijah. There is a story in the Old Testament about the prophet Elijah and his successor the prophet Elisha. Elisha's ministry first began as a servant to Elijah in the book of 1 Kings 19:19 as he completed his earthly occupation of plowing twelve yolk of oxen. Elijah approached Elisha and threw his mantle upon him. This is symbolic for those who are clothed with the prophetic mantle which is the spirit of Elijah, as well as an allegory of the father's mantle being passed to the son. Each day Elisha followed Elijah closely and would not leave him for a moment. In the same way, we should have mentors who walk as Jesus walked and could disciple us in love as well as spiritual realities.

 

Elijah was a prophet with a ministry of miracles, signs and wonders. After a season in which Elisha had served Elijah, the Lord was coming to take Elijah. He obviously knew this because he asked Elisha; what may I do for you before I am taken away? Elisha responded; I want a double portion of your Spirit (anointing). This word for spirit in the original Hebrew context is ruwach which is breath, wind, spirit. It is referring to the living breath of God, a living mantle. Elijah replied, if you see me when I am taken from you it shall be so. Soon after, a chariot of fire with horses of fire appeared, separated them and took Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind. His mantle fell upon Elisha and he received a double portion of Elijah's anointing. Elisha's ministry did not begin until Elijah's ministry ended. We are going to see the ministries of the prophetic sons and daughters succeed the ministries of their spiritual fathers in the coming year.

 

Prophetic Voices Being Raised

 

The Lord says; I am raising up prophetic voices to declare My glory to this generation. They will be those who will trumpet My words with clarity and precision as they minister in the Spirit and power of Elijah. They will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just. They will prepare the people's hearts for the days ahead. They will be men and women who will walk in the anointing as in days of old. There will be miracles, signs and wonders performed through their hands as My anointing rests upon them and abides within them. They will show others how to be fed supernaturally in the times of famine. 

They shall decree a thing and it shall be established because I will confirm the words that I give them to speak. They are men and women of valor who follow in the steps of My prophets who went before them. They are those who have put their hand to the plow and have not looked back. They are those who have never deviated from My plan, but have followed Me through difficult times and persecution. They will bring reconciliation to My body and balance to the five fold ministry bringing every joint and ligament to function in unison. I am raising up men and women who know how to take back their land. They will take a stand against unrighteousness, sin and injustice, and they will be steadfast in their convictions says the Lord.

 

2 Kings 2:9-14 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." So he said, "You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so." Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 

And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, "My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!" So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over

 

There Will Be Unbelievers

 

In the book of 2 Kings 2:13 after Elisha received the double portion of Elijah's anointing he went and stood on the bank of the Jordan River and struck the water and asked, Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" The Lord responded by dividing the water and Elisha crossed over. This is the second time a mantle from Elijah was placed upon Elisha. The first mantle was in the book of 1 Kings 19:19 as Elisha began serving Elijah, and the second time was in the book of 2 Kings 2:13 as he began to serve the Lord. The sons of the prophets recognized that the spirit of Elijah rested on Elisha. 

Shortly after, in the book of 2 Kings 2:23 Elisha was now walking in a double portion anointing when some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, "Go up, you bald head."  They were not mocking his physical appearance, but they were mocking his anointing. They were insinuating that he "Go up" in the same way that Elijah went up in a horse and Chariot. 1 Chronicles 16:22 and 2 Chronicles 36:16 refers to those who mocked and rose up against the prophets of God in the Old Testament.

 

Psalm 105:15 Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

 

The Lord says; there will be unbelievers in the days ahead who will not understand the call on the lives of My prophets. They will be mocked and ridiculed as My servants but they will not retreat. Those who I have called, I will also equip with strength and endurance. I will give them divine wisdom with spiritual strategies. They will understand the times and the seasons, and walk accordingly. I will give them keen discernment concerning their ministry and the sword of My word will be in their mouths. They will bring truth to the body and bring unity in places of division. They will walk in righteousness but not submit to the religious traditions of man because they are led by My Spirit. Supernatural encounters and signs will follow those who believe as I am raising up mighty men and women in the spirit of Elijah says the Lord.

 

Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.
