Labyrinth - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Labyrinth
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“For I considered all this in my heart, so that I could declare it all: that the righteous and the wise and their works are in the hand of God.” (Eccl 9:1, NKJV)

As for us, I can count the many churches my good wife and I have been a part of over these decades, serving in fellowship and in friendship. It numbers 11, since 1980. From Illinois to Michigan, then Florida and now North Carolina, we have been around. In Charlotte alone, since 1994, it has been six churches. So we know a lot of people attending different Sunday morning services!

Though to my knowledge I am not Jewish, I could say that I certainly have the heart of one, and at times thought I was like a “wandering Jew”, going from place to place. We made many friends and connections during these decades, and though some would consider this “bouncing from place to place”, it has been something I wouldn’t consider amiss. The Lord knows that when it comes to pollinating as flowers are by bees, we certainly can say we have done that. It also has given us the opportunity to connect churches to each other through these friendships.

When I received a prophetic word back in 1995 that I was in a labyrinth (at the time I had NO idea what that meant), I can now look back and see how the hand of God has directed. Even as the dictionary says, “a complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one's way; a maze”, I realize indeed that that word was from the Lord. This time has been an irregular network of passages. The journey has been a maze.

If you find yourself in a sort of labyrinth moment, or year, or even decade, don’t consider yourself too weird. It very well may be the Lord God of Israel directing your path. If you had asked Him to do so with an honest and seeking heart, you very well may find yourself too going from place to place for a certain period of ordained time. But know that there is an end, and once finally settled you will know it has been well worth the journey.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Prophetic Word: 'I'm Turning Marriages Into Miracles' - BILL YOUNT CHARISMA NEWS

Prophetic Word: 'I'm Turning Marriages Into Miracles'

BILL YOUNT  CHARISMA NEWS
Marriages are being bombarded by severe, raging storms like never before. Did you know that when you were even thinking about marriage, God was already thinking of miracles? God spells the word marriage, "m-i-r-a-c-l-e." The Lord actually created marriages with a built-in need for miracles. The Lord ordained marriage to not only require miracles but to demand them. Marriages demand miracles.
Marriages and Miracles Go Together
From heaven's perspective, here is how it works. The Lord will allow your wine in your marriage to run out to get you on miracle territory, just as at the first marriage wedding feast in Cana. Did you know that when the Lord brought you and your spouse together, He knew you would need a miracle? In fact, there is something wrong if your marriage doesn't need a miracle sooner or later. Marriages and miracles just go together.
I believe Jesus chose to create His first miracle on earth where He knew it would be needed most—at a wedding feast, so everyone will know they can have a miracle in their marriage. Study the couples throughout the Bible who had great destinies, and you will find that they faced the greatest impossibilities, and nothing less than a miracle brought them through to God's purposes.
Abraham and Sarah were destined to conceive and bring forth a son of promise. But "Houston, we have a problem!" Sarah wasn't able to conceive. Let's forget about this miracle stuff and get Hagar ("another woman is what I need") to fulfill my destiny ..." they thought.
A Manmade Solution
Sarah agreed, "No, I don't have what it takes, go ahead and have Hagar ... I am tired of this unfulfilled marriage" (paraphrased). Through painful experiences Abraham and Sarah learned that they needed more than each other (and a third party) to have their fulfillment in life. Finally, they realized that their answer was not in each other.
God waited until they both could not possibly have a child in the natural. Not only was Sarah's womb dead, but Abraham was about 100 years old, out of commission also. They finally had to take their eyes off of themselves and look to the Lord, realizing it was an impossible mission. God was waiting all those years to hear from them what He knew all along: "We need a miracle in our marriage!"
The Greater the Call on a Marriage, the Greater the Need for Miracles
In the first chapter of Luke, Zechariah and Elizabeth have an impossible area in their marriage. There is a barren place in their marriage also. Elizabeth could not conceive. Zechariah, a priest, was in the temple and had the greatest experience of his life. The angel gave him the word of the Lord about his destiny of having John the Baptist for a son, representing the prophetic move coming to prepare the way of the Lord.
"As soon as the days of his [Zechariah's] service were fulfilled, he departed to his own home" (Luke 1:23). Then his wife, Elizabeth, who had been barren, conceived. Many men today in the temple or ministry are being called by God to return to their own house to their own "barren" situations. Not until we men learn and experience spiritual intimacy with our own wife, so she can spiritually conceive, can we fulfill God's purpose for both of us in our marriage. And this includes bringing forth a godly seed as well, children of destiny.
Wise Men Sought Jesus, But Mary Conceived Him
Women are "conceivers," both physically and spiritually. Men are "seekers." Ministries can go no further than marriages if we want children of destiny (godly seed). It's really out of spiritual intimacy with our spouse that ministry is birthed. I sense husbands and wives will have to spiritually hold hands to bring forth the next move of the Spirit. Men will have to cleave to their wives, because it will take two for what God wants to do next. God is coming to couples in their own house this hour.
Many men and women have received great visions and words from the Lord in churches. But the real conception of these words must take place in our home where we live. Spiritual conception must also take place in our homes if we are going to see our destiny fulfilled and the kingdom of God advance. Have we men failed to take home what we receive in God's house and neglect spiritual intimacy with our wives at home?
I sense the wine (intimacy) has run out in many marriages but I hear the Lord saying to the angels, "Get the water pots and fill them with water. I'm going to turn water into wine again and marriages into miracles. I have saved My best wine that has been aging for centuries for this last hour. I have saved the best wine for last to be tasted right at home between husband and wife."
Is there spiritual barrenness in your marriage? Need a great miracle? Your great need for a miracle qualifies you to receive one! They say marriages are made in heaven; so is lightning and thunder. Expect miracles in your marriage today!

Prophetic Word: Stop Building Monuments and Start Becoming a Movement - JOE JOE DAWSON CHARISMA NEWS

(Unsplash/Matteo Vistocco)

Prophetic Word: Stop Building Monuments and Start Becoming a Movement

JOE JOE DAWSON  CHARISMA NEWS
Recently in prayer, I have been discussing this thought with the Lord, "God, what I do, I want to be doing it strong, five years from now and 10 years, 20 years and even 40 years from now." I don't ever want to be someone who is doing something great for the Lord and then kind of fade away. I want to leave a legacy for my children, my grandchildren and my spiritual children.
What the Lord has been speaking to me is, "always be a movement and never create a monument." A monument is something the men build in order to honor a dead work. It may have started as a movement in a church, a ministry or even a movement in a nation but did not sustain and eventually became just a monument. A monument commemorates something that was once alive but is now dead and gone.
But the Lord is saying this, "If you always love your life as a movement, then you will never become a monument." Whenever your time is over, your life and your movement will continue. There are so many great men of God who now have universities in their name, and the movements they started are still going on and impacting many generations.
There are so many denominations that sadly have based their theology and doctrines on great charismatic and Pentecostal movements from the past, but their services today are dry and dead. Why? Because they camped out on something the Lord did in the past instead of staying current with what the Lord was doing.
At our ministry, we love to sing songs about the river of God. Have you ever seen a natural river that is straight for hundreds of miles? No! Because they have many twists and turns because of the moment of the water. The water in a river is constantly moving and changing as fresh water comes in and moves down the river. You can never step in the same river twice, because the water is always moving. That is the same way our relationship with the Lord should be. This is how our services and ministries should be, always staying fresh and moving with the Lord.
What we must understand is certain ministries and churches or ministers and denominations often camp out somewhere, perhaps on a certain set of meetings, particular songs or theology. But the problem is they have camped out and said, "It has to look this way" or "It has to sound that way," but the river of God has gone in the opposite direction. But if we do not want to become monuments, we have to live our lives always staying fresh, following the river of God. We must always be seeking to move with the Holy Spirit.
My friends, whether you know it or not, so many people are depending on you. Your life, your business, your marriage, your ministry must remain a movement, not a monument.
In my marriage, my wife and I have been married for almost 18 years, and we intentionally keep our marriage fresh. We also stay creative with our children as we parent them. We don't just do the same thing all the time. We never camp out on one specific thing that we do together. We are always taking different types of vacations. We always try to do different things together that are exciting.
If you cultivate a fresh move of the Spirit in your personal life, it will spill out into your business, your ministry and all that God has you put our hands to. Stay current with God and never just keep doing what you did in one season. Always stay fresh with God by keeping yourself consistent in the place of prayer. Always make your life, your business and your ministry a movement with God and never allow yourself to create a monument.

Prophetic Word: 'I'm Draining the Swamp in My House for My Glory' - BILL YOUNT CHARISMA NEWS

(Unsplash/Igor Goryachev)

Prophetic Word: 'I'm Draining the Swamp in My House for My Glory'

BILL YOUNT  CHARISMA NEWS
Swamp: an area of low-lying, uncultivated ground where water collects; a bog or marsh.
I saw the Spirit of the Lord as a great ocean beginning to recede off an enormous shore line. This was a season in time when "the tide" was beginning to go out. The body of Christ was standing in the water, practically immersed in the tide. But as the tide gradually began to go out, we began to gradually be exposed as though we could no longer be covered by the water. We stood spiritually naked in a swamp as the tide was still going out.
As the tide went out from the shoreline, many chains and bondages could be seen holding God's people. This was hindering them and stopping them from going on to follow the Spirit, which was gradually going out from them, leaving them helpless and powerless as though the Spirit was exposing their sin and weakness, yet at the same time, departing from them.
Others were able to go further on after His Spirit, but the tide seemed to pick up a faster pace, and there was a great cry as the tide rapidly went out and even the very elect and righteous began to cry out, "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?" As the body of Christ stood still with exhaustion and weariness and great discouragement, the ground beneath turned into dry land, where there was no water—just like a desert.
The church could only see the tide going out a long way off and could no longer experience the move of the Spirit. On the contrary, what was left was their sins, bondage and helplessness. As the church was exposed and stood as though naked, a great mocking cry was heard from those who were back on the shore who had never touched the water. This represented the world. The world's people were seeing the shame and sin, and God was being reproached. The time frame in which this took place seemed like forever to God's people—as though they were separated from God and nothing appeared to be happening, except for failure.
Many turned from looking toward the tide going out, and after a while, they began to walk back towards the shore from where they came. They just gave up and were tired of waiting and waiting, convinced that God had forsaken them by all appearances.
But a remnant stayed and stood still, waiting upon the Lord, confessing their sins and repenting and interceding for all the world, realizing it is not by might, nor by power, but only by the Spirit of the living God. Then it seemed that the earth stood still, and the waters going out even stopped and a strange calmness came. And then the Lord spoke: "The tide is beginning to turn. The tide is beginning to turn. And the tide is on its way back in! This is the tsunami of My glory that My earth has been waiting for!"
It was wave after wave after wave. These waves were bringing in the lost. I mean lost, lost! These waves were bringing the lost up out of the lowest places of the earth. It seemed as though the sea was giving up her dead. There were pornographic stars, mass murderers, witches, many from occult and Eastern religions. Souls who had committed horrendous, indescribable crimes. The powers of hell were letting go of them. These last waves had the power to bring up the very bottom of the ocean.
As these waves kept coming in, the waves of salvation began covering more and more of the shore and coming upon the earth. Like a flood, the Spirit was coming in, lifting His standard upon the earth itself and multitudes were being saved as the waves of salvation continued to literally cover the earth. As these waves increased in magnitude and became humongous tidal waves, the Lord said, "Truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord like the waters cover the sea."

"In 2018: Challenge Yourself and Cast Your 2020 Vision"
Joni Ames, Rock Hill, SC

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzJoni Ames is one who seems to "tell it like it is..." and she does that in her latest article. This is full of very practical steps for us to take, even daily, to move into this new year and to finish well toward the prophetic words the Lord has already given to us.

Also she challenges us to start preparing for the year 2020...already prophetic voices have said much will happen between now and then.

Joni shares:
20/20 is considered to be the best eyesight possible. I believe the Lord wants to release to us 20/20 vision for the year 2020, NOW. Let's not get caught up in the enemy's distractions and end up only having a "hindsight is 20/20" mindset. We need to pursue walking in the best state of mind and vision NOW, so that we are on time and on target for the year 2020 when it comes.

Let this word by Joni challenge and empower you to prepare ahead for all God will be doing...even in the new few years. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"In 2018: Challenge Yourself and Cast Your 2020 Vision"
Joni Ames, Rock Hill, SC

We're one year into Trump's presidency this month, with three more to go. On a recent morning I heard, "It's time now to cast your 2020 vision." It was clear to me that this spoke of both the next presidential election, as well as our own personal vision.

I have also been hearing the words, "Challenge yourself this year."

I don't care what age you are, if you're breathing and reading this, you have a purpose to fulfill and you need to get on with it. I go to many places where people want another prophetic word, but they have not gone after the ones they have already received. Why would God give another instruction when we have not yet walked out the ones He's already released? Not only do we have prophetic words we've received to fulfill, but there are other words hanging out there to be given to us—once we are obedient to our previous instructions. Let's get busy.

I believe we are about to receive a huge booster thrust from Heaven to catch us up in that area (Joel 2:25), as well as to thrust us forward in preparation for 2020. But individually, the release of that 2020 vision depends on our obedience to what's already been revealed to us.

Faith without works is dead (see James 2:17). James said, "I'll show you my faith by my works" (James 2:18).

James 2:14 says, "What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?"
Now that's a good question. What good has it done to "keep believing for" something if you do nothing toward it? For example, if you "keep believing" that you are going to be a great piano player but you do not get a piano, take lessons or practice, it ain't gonna happen. And it's the same way with that stack of goals, dreams, visions and prophecies you've collected over the years.

It's time to challenge yourself to complete them and cast your vision for 2020.

2020 Election

If you think this last election was tumultuous, you ain't seen nothing yet. The Church must not waste one moment being complacent about the 2020 election. We must do everything we can between now and then to keep the ball rolling. The past one didn't happen by itself and the next one sure won't.

The Number 8

The number "8" is both in our 2018 calendar and the 5778 Jewish calendar for this year. "8" is the number for new beginnings, as well as unity. On its side, it's the symbol for infinity/eternity. What we do now can be of lasting, eternal significance for our children, grandchildren, and generations to come. So let's make our time here count.

Additionally, on its side, it appears as a pair of eye glasses, which represents restoration of 20/20 vision no matter what our visual impairments have been, spiritually speaking. That's a great promise for us this year.

Raise the Bar

Rick Joyner and my previous spiritual papa and prophet, Bob Jones, have both said, "Let our ceiling be your floor, so you can start out at a higher place than we did." Let's now raise the bar for our next generation, so they can achieve greater success than we have. This is both for our natural and spiritual descendants.

20/20 Vision for 2020

20/20 is considered to be the best eyesight possible. I believe the Lord wants to release to us 20/20 vision for the year 2020, NOW. Let's not get caught up in the enemy's distractions and end up only having a "hindsight is 20/20" mindset. We need to pursue walking in the best state of mind and vision NOW, so that we are on time and on target for the year 2020 when it comes.

The Challenge

Challenge yourself. Do not waste time. It's time to achieve what God has promised us, and quit being deceived and wasting time by believing the lies of the enemy that we are not able. Again, this is both a word for us about preparing for the next presidential election, as well as our personal lives. They both go hand-in-hand.

• Challenge yourself by writing your vision, your goals, so that you may see them unfold and come to pass (Habakkuk 2:2-4).
• Challenge yourself by pursuing them.
• Challenge yourself by pushing yourself beyond your self-imposed limitations and excuses.
• Challenge yourself to achieve something specific every day this year. Write out daily goals and achieve them.
• Challenge yourself AND go for it. Whatever "it" is, you CAN and WILL achieve it. IF you go for it.

2020, here we come!

Love and Blessings,

Joni Ames

Set Your 'Spiritual GPS' for the New Year - J. LEE GRADY CHARISMA NEWS

I call this exercise "resetting my GPS." I encourage you to try it. (Getty Images/iStock/Getty Images Plus/Royalty-free/Peopleimages)

Set Your 'Spiritual GPS' for the New Year

J. LEE GRADY  CHARISMA NEWS
At the beginning of every New Year I always reassess my goals, sharpen my objectives and pray for God's blessing. I ask myself: What do I want God to accomplish in my life this year? How do I want to grow personally, in my relationships and in my career? Then I seek the Lord to hear what He is saying to me about the next 12 months.
I call this exercise "resetting my GPS." I encourage you to try it. Here's how it works:
G stands for "Goals." People with goals have a sense of purpose, and they aren't easily distracted. On the other hand, those with no ambitions wander aimlessly. If you aim at nothing, you will surely hit it. Setting a goal is the first step toward success.
I see the power of goal setting in the life of the apostle Paul. He was motivated by a fiery passion to take the gospel to the Gentiles. In his lifetime he traveled on foot or by ship, chariot or horseback to what is now Turkey, Syria, Greece, Crete, Malta and Italy. His goal drove him forward.
He also set a goal to preach in Spain (see Rom. 15:24, 28). We don't know if he reached Spain or not, but that goal certainly stoked his zeal and motivated him to wake up every morning. When he wrote these words--"I press toward the goal to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 3:14)—he was in chains in a Roman prison. Paul didn't let obstacles deter him.
There's a difference between a dream and a goal. Dreams can be elusive—always "somewhere out there"—if the person dreaming never takes a first step. Your most vital step is to write down your goal. State it clearly and aim at it. The prophet said in Habakkuk 2:2: "Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run." You can't run toward your vision unless it is clearly articulated.
P stands for "Prophetic Word." For many years I've developed the habit of seeking the Lord for a word for the coming year. Sometimes God gives me a verse from the Bible. Other times I get a phrase or simply one word. As I was praying for 2018, for example, the Lord said, "Advance" and "Take possession," and He gave me Joshua 1. He also encouraged me to study the book of Joshua during 2018.
You don't have to be a prophet to receive a personalized directive like this. God knows you, and He knows your future. He also knows the challenges you face and the storms that may come this year. Jeremiah 29:11 says: "For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." God loves you. If you seek Him, He will speak a word to your heart.
Once you receive that prophetic word, hold onto it no matter what happens. God gave Abraham and Sarah a promise about an heir, but it took 25 years before Isaac was born. God does not work according to your timetable; you must submit to His schedule. The prophetic word is certain; you can bank on it. It will fill your heart with the hope and encouragement you need to move forward, in spite of delays, setbacks, personal failures, relationship breakups, illness, job loss, miscarriages, deaths or disasters.
S stands for "Special Prayer." The most important part of resetting my spiritual GPS is setting aside time to pray. I call it "special" prayer because it's beyond the norm of my daily routine. I feel most prepared for a New Year if I can unplug and devote a block of time to commit my plans and goals to the Lord.
Setting goals is a great step toward success, but goals are nothing if God did not inspire them. Proverbs 16:9 says: "A man's heart devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps." When we take our goals to God in prayer, we allow Him to override them if they are misguided; we also give Him permission to expand our goals if they are limited. We bow before God's throne and tell Him that we only want His plans, not ours.
Proverbs 16:3 says: "Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." You can facilitate special prayer in several ways. You may want to fast for a few days; you might go away for a weekend prayer retreat; or you could stay up a few nights and have a prayer vigil. Some churches also organize special days of corporate prayer at the beginning of the year.
You don't have to adopt the same prayer routine every year. The important thing is to take your plans to God and ask for His grace, power and strength to overshadow you during the next season. Ask for big things. Seek God's wisdom and strategy. Knock on heaven's door for His miracles.
Expect God to speak to your heart. He will reveal His plans, rekindle your dreams, calm your fears and stir your faith so you can experience your best year ever.

Bill Hamon: This Is the Year of Divine Reversal - CHARISMA NEWS

Bill Hamon: This Is the Year of Divine Reversal

1/1/2018 CHARISMA NEWS
Bill Hamon says this is the year of divine reversal—but God's people have to do their job! He says it will take plenty of prayer, decreeing and warfare. But the potential results could be amazing: "This year is a vital, pivotal turning year—and if we obey God, and the church will walk like it's supposed to, we're going to see a turnaround and revival in America."

Prophetic Word: Wind of Change Coming Early by Doug Addison - Identity Network

Prophetic Word: Wind of Change Coming Early

by Doug Addison

Identity Network  Dec. 11, 2017

Revelation Coming at Christmas

Then he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it." So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. Ezekiel 3:3 NIV

In a heavenly encounter last month, I saw the Lord giving spiritual scrolls of revelation. They contained plans, strategies, wisdom and insight that we will need for the coming year.

God told me to expect to see this begin in December and flow through the New Year. And just as in Ezekiel 3:3, it will taste sweet as honey. God is going to bring good things to you!

Wind of Change Early

Every year since 2012, I have been observing a powerful angel that comes right around March or April. When the Wind of Change angel comes (not Winds of Change—that is a different angel), it reveals things that have been hidden (Psalm 104:4).

Things that may have been holding you back will become much clearer. The Wind of Change also blows things into place and what might look uncertain and chaotic right now will soon be much more orderly.

Regarding the angels, he says, "He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire." Hebrews 1:7 NLT

The Lord spoke to me that the reason the Wind of Change angel is coming early this year is because there is such a strong attack of discouragement and hopelessness.

God is moving to balance the scales of justice because the enemy has been over-attacking people everywhere. We are about to experience an amazing new revival and Satan wants to distract us from what God is bringing.

Attack of Discouragement

There has been a heavy attack of hopelessness and many people have been tempted to give in to discouragement. I saw a huge attack from the enemy that was intended to get people to believe they are worthless and not able to change. This was so strong that some people were becoming depressed and suicidal.

Do not back down, as this time of resistance will not last long. A greater revelation into your calling and divine assignment from God will come from this, starting this month. Do not give up hope and remember that the greatest storms usually come just before the greatest breakthroughs!

Prophetic Dream and the Wind of Change 2012

I had a dream in 2012 of a strong spiritual (not literal) wind that started blowing from the ocean onto land. As it approached, it blew up debris so strongly that it was nearly blinding. Then a huge battleship crashed into the land, hitting buildings. God spoke to me that this is the "Wind of Change" and it is coming upon the Earth now.

The meaning of the dream is that there is a massive "Wind of Change" coming from the Lord. This spiritual climate shift is happening in order to blow away the things in our lives that have held us back. It will remove things we have "battled" with in the past. God is blowing away debris and preparing us now for a dramatic change.

We need to embrace the changes that are coming and not be afraid. Fight the discouragement, because over the next few months there will be several waves of turn around. It's time to be encouraged, not discouraged!

Wounded Warriors Being Revived

I had a spiritual encounter in November 2017 where I was taken to a place where many wounded people were laying on a battlefield. There were a number of wounded warriors and those who had been taken out.

Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.'" Ezekiel 37:9 NIV

I saw the Lord blow the wind from Ezekiel 37 upon those lying on the battlefield. God spoke to me that the Wind of Change is similar to the four winds and breath of God in Ezekiel 37.

As the Wind of Change begins to blow, it will revive many people who have been wounded by negative Christians and church experiences. Many wounded warriors have been taken out of action in the Kingdom of God by "friendly fire," or attacks from other Christians.

These wounded warriors will play a strong role in this next move of God. I saw many of them lying on the Kingdom battlefield with no one to attend to them. Then the Wind of Change blew life into them and they were strengthened and began to rise up with new vision.

I would encourage you to let God's Wind of Change blow into any area of your life that needs it. The Wind of Change is coming early this year, so get ready for amazing Christmas gifts from your Father in Heaven!

Blessings,
