"It's Time to Rise and Build!"

Just recently, I had a dream in which I heard the audible voice of the Lord say,"It's time to RISE and BUILD." As soon as I woke, I had the first part of Nehemiah 3, verse 1 at the front of my mind, and sensed that not only was this my personal word for the year but a word for the whole Body of Christ also.

"Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it." Nehemiah 3:1

God is Restoring

I believe in 2016 we have entered a time that is unique for our generation and there is a favor upon us in this year to build as never before. When we look at this Scripture in Hebrew, it is exciting and I believe a picture of what God is doing. The word Eliashib in Hebrew means, "God restores!"

It is a picture of restoration back to its original condition, BUT I believe God is restoring not just back to the condition you knew your circumstances were before, BUT the condition and state that God intended them to be in eternity past! Restoration means to return back, to reverse and to answer the cry!

In Nehemiah 5, verse 11 it says, "Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil."

This is the year where total and complete restoration will be seen: a restoration where the enemy has stolen. 

Those who have had land stolen or lost, for whatever reason, God is declaring over you, "Restoration."

Vineyards and olive yards, which speaks of businesses, houses, family members away from the Lord, prodigals, churches, and where money has been stolen, lost, etc., get ready, it is being restored! (Photo via Pixabay)

The corn which speaks of your increase (from the prime root Hebrew word dagah), the wine (comes from the prime root Hebrew word yarash), which means inheritances, and poverty, and the oil...your anointing; yes, the Divine outpouring of the supernatural and creative miracles is here this year!

Get ready for a full and complete restoration of every area! Why does it say the" one hundredth" part in the above verse? The Hebrew letter one hundred means the completion of all living matter!

Gates and Doors Are Opening

It's time to align our thoughts and emotions to who we are in Him. As our identity is aligned and the words of our mouth line up, we are going to see in 2016 the creative power of God change situations, families, cities and nations!

The Scripture in Nehemiah 3 goes onto to say that they built the sheep gate. Deleth in Hebrew means to establish and rebuild the gate, and speaks of the doors and portals of Heaven, to give entrance to Heaven; and sheep in Hebrew is multitude.

Get ready! This is a year where supernatural encounters, dreams and visions are going to increase because gates, doors and portals have opened, and Heaven is going to come face-to-face with earth. As Heaven starts to invade earth through these gates we are going to see the multitudes come.

2016 is a season of soul winning and prodigals coming home, and the backslidden are coming this year. What was started in 2015 is going to increase in 2016. Some who lost people from their churches last year and felt they became small and inhibited, get ready. Start to speak the vision again, give breath to it, say it loud, declare it, and start to physically build it because this is the year of your open door of increase! 

The enemy you have been fighting is about to be defeated; lift up your voice, and rejoice in your victory!

For those who sowed last year and have not seen the increase, it's time to declare the door of blessing open. Genesis 26:12, "Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him."You are about to reap and it will be 100-fold – the completion and all that is due!

There is an acceleration coming in 2016 with gifts and callings in ministry and businesses, and many will see promotions. This year is the year to create, innovate and start building the desire that God has laid on your heart. It's time to be positioned.

As the portal and doors have opened, there will be many angelic appearances and awakenings among the children and youth. These awakenings will tear down strongholds of atheism and false religions, as the young enter into encounters that cannot be denied.

A Generation of Fearless Warriors

As I started to pray over this word, I again heard the sound of the piper (bagpipes) playing, "Scotland the Brave," and God showed me a generation of fearless warriors arising, hearts ablaze, full of passion and His love, not just in Scotland only but they are rising up all over the world.

It's time for us to stand and declare our breakthrough, the doors are opened, it's time to rise, and it's time to build! 

Job 22:28, "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways."

Your light or owr (Hebrew), light of life, light of prosperity, light of instruction, light of face, of fire and breakthrough – it will shine (derek in Hebrew) in your character, your way, and your life!

Millions of Muslims are leaving Islam as they watch the extremism of Iranian & ISIS leaders, says a top Iranian Christian leader. by joelcrosenberg The violent, fanatical, and apocalyptic actions and rhetoric of the Iranian regime and the leadership of the Islamic State are causing millions of Muslims to rethink whether they want to be part of such a religion, and many of them are turning to faith in Jesus Christ. This is the assessment of Dr. Hormoz Shariat, a former Muslim who came to faith in Christ himself in the early 1980s. Today, Dr. Shariat is one of the the most prominent Iranian Christian pastors and evangelists in the world. Last month, I had dinner with this dear friend, a man I call the "Billy Graham of Iran"because he is preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to millions upon millions of Iranians through his 24/7 Farsi satellite television network. We were talking about the trends he's seeing in the Islamic world, and I left the conversation surprised by how encouraged he is. Yes, the Iranian regime and ISIS are engaged in horrific evil. But Hormoz told me he sees unintended consequences of the cruelty of the Iranian and ISIS leaders, that such actions are causing confusion among many Muslims and drawing them to consider the claims of Christ. I so wish I'd had a notebook that night because what Hormoz was telling me was so fascinating. Instead, when I got home to Israrel, I emailed him and asked him to write up his analysis and send it to me. Graciously, he did just that. The notes he sent me are below. Please read them to the very end, and please share them with others. And let's keep praying that the Lord would continue to pour out His Holy Spirit on the world's 1.6 billion Muslims. ---------------------- AN ANALYSIS OF TREND-LINES IN THE MUSLIM WORLD, by Dr. Hormoz Shariat. 1. A growing number of Muslims are coming to faith in Jesus Christ because of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) and ISIS. The extreme actions and rhetoric of Iran’s government and the ISIS leaders have caused many Muslims in the Middle East to start thinking, asking questions, wondering if Islam could really be true. This is a major spiritual breakthrough. For a person raised in the West where approaching any issue logically and objectively is the norm, this fact may not be appreciated. “Question Everything” is a cultural virtue in the West. But Muslims living in the Islamic world are not allowed to question their faith at all. Those who do are considered weak in their faith, and sometimes are punished by lashes. Muslims are oppressed by a spirit of fear. They are afraid to read the Qur’an objectively, or even ask sincere questions about it. Islam is based on total obedience to Allah, without asking any questions. I have had fascinating conversations over the years with Muslim scientists with PhD’s. We have discussed everything objectively and logically until the subject turned to Islam. I could see a spirit of confusion and fear would overtake them. They could no longer discuss things based on reason. They had stopped thinking. What has caused Muslims to start questioning their faith? For Shiites, it has been the action of the IRI. For Sunnis, it is what ISIS is doing. I see similarities between the spiritual journey of Iranians for the last 35 years (leaving under the fear and oppression of Khomeini and Khamenei regimes) and a growing number of Sunnis in the last two years, since ISIS became powerful. Here are the steps of how their thinking changes during their spiritual journey away from Islam and towards Christ: First, they start thinking the Islamic leaders in the region are not really “True Muslims” – This is often the first reaction of Muslims to the Iranian Government and ISIS. Muslims look at what IRI and ISIS do and say: “Islam is good and perfect; it is these extreme leaders that are the problem. They are giving Islam a bad name. What they do is not true Islam.” Next, they start wondering, “What is True Islam?” -- Both the Iranian regime leaders and ISIS leaders claim that what they do is based on Qur’an, and examples from the life of Prophet Mohammad. They certainly claim to be true Muslims. They challenge all Muslims by saying “What is it that we do that is outside Islam?” This challenge causes Muslims to take another look at the origin of their faith—that is, the Qur’an and the life of their Prophet Muhammad—in order to disprove IRI/ISIS actions and prove that Islam is true and good. Then the suddenly realize, “Oh my God! The leaders of Iran and ISIS ARE true Muslims!” – A growing number of Muslims who take up the challenge of disproving the actions of the leaders of Iran and ISIS come to a shocking conclusion: that what those leaders are doing actually IS true Islam. They realize that Iran’s and ISIS’s leaders are not fanatic Muslims, but deeply committed and faithful Muslims. At this point, they begin to realize that there is something fundamentally wrong with Islam itself – This is the start of their rejection of Islam and becoming open to other ways of thinking and faiths, including Christianity. So this is encouraging -- millions of Muslims have started to ask questions about their faith. Ironically, currently in the U.S., one is not allowed to ask hard questions about Islamic faith. As a result of political correctness and an apparent government policy of appeasing Islam, many refuse to logically and objectively discuss what Muslims believe or even discuss Quranic verses. Most media personalities dare to even quote verses from the Qur’an. 2. Iran is fast becoming the first Islamic nation that is abandoning Islam and becoming a Christian nation. Iran will be a Christian nation according to God’s promise for Elam (today’s Iran) in Jeremiah 49:38. This is happening even today before our eyes. It is no longer by faith that I say “Iran will be a Christian nation,” but it is by sight. Islam is experiencing its greatest defeat in its history in Iran today. Islam is on the offense and is advancing everywhere in the world—except Iran. Iran is the only country in the world where Islam is on the defense and Christianity is on the offense. Also, Iran will be the first country that fulfills Romans 11:11 in bringing the Jews to jealousy. When the Jews see that citizens of a nation who wanted to “wipe them off the map” increasingly becoming their friends and sincerely love, value, and have good will towards them because so many Iranians have received Jesus as the Messiah and Savior and been transformed by faith in Him, they will wake up to the fact that Jesus truly changes individual lives and even nations. As the government of Iran continues to threaten Israel with annihilation, the people of Iran are gradually getting rid of their hatred for the Jews. Iranian Muslims who come to Christ and renounce Islam and start reading their Bibles become free from that hatred. They start getting the heart and mind of God for the Jewish people. Amazingly, a growing number of Muslims are also losing that hatred, or at least the issue of Israel and Jews is becoming a non-issue for them. I see it all the time, and I believe the reason is that there is such a disconnect and distrust between the people of Iran and their government. When the government sponsors rally’s chanting “Death to Israel,” the people of Iran increasingly think, “If our government tell us that we should hate the Jews, it is a good reason that we should not.” 3. Signs, wonders, visions, dreams, and miracles are slowing down in Iran. The younger generation in Iran (those under 30 years old) are increasingly experiencing fewer supernatural events—even though a growing number of them are coming to faith in Christ. I believe this is because they do not need miracles in order to come to Christ. The Lord is so gracious. The older generation in Iran needs such miraculous signs because they are more oppressed by the spirit of Islam. They are, initially, very afraid to make a final decision to follow Christ, even when they are totally convinced of the truth of the Gospel. They are captives to the spirit of Islam, which is the spirit of fear. Therefore, the Lord graciously gives them supernatural experiences (visions, dreams, and miracles) to help them make that final decision. The younger generation, however, do not need such signs and wonders. Most have been raised in a family where Islam was rejected and even ridiculed, or at least it was a non-issue. The majority of youth in Iran are coming to Christ after hearing the Gospel preached and the Word of God taught to them because, as they frequently put it, “I need salvation.” Their faith is deep even without these supernatural experiences. Coming from a life of desperation and hopelessness, they greatly value the salvation and life-changing forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ. I am so thrilled and inspired when I talk to the young believers in Iran. They are fearless. They are neither afraid of Allah nor the Iranian government. Many say, “So what if they kill me, I was dead anyway.” One young convert recently told me, “I am not afraid of them (the Iranian regime). They are afraid of me and my Gospel message. It is out of their fear that they want to put me in jail.” These young generation are ready to live for Jesus and if necessary to die for Him. As we enter a new season with the Lord, many may struggle with "letting go of the OLD" and it can be difficult to do so, as Doug shares here:

When God calls us to do something new, we often have to forget the former ways that we did things. This is usually difficult for us to do. But it is our old ways of thinking or old ways of doing things that is the very reason we need to hear God for something new. God changes the seasons in our lives and what worked in a previous season might not work now.

"Hearing God, Knowing His Voice and Why It's Time to Let Go of the Old Things"

There has been a positive shift for the good and it might require you to rise above your current situation to catch it. This is a time not only to hear God's voice more clearly, but also for us to activate the things God is speaking to us.

Hearing God, Knowing His Voice

God is speaking all the time but most people are not aware of it, or they have not been trained to recognize the variety of ways God speaks. 

This could be through dreams and visions, prophetic words, music and the arts, the Bible, or the still, small whispers we often get from the Holy Spirit.

I recommend that you write down or journal what God is speaking to you right now. The reason is that God often speaks over a period of time and through various circumstances and events in our lives and we need to "learn to discern" God's voice from the clamor of things coming at us all the time. (Photo via Pixabay)

One distinctive of knowing God's voice is peace. Do you have peace in what you are hearing? Many prophetic words these days are instilling fear in people. You will recognize God's love and nature when you have peace in your spirit with what God is saying.

Hindrances to Hearing God

These are just a few examples of things that can hinder us from hearing God:

• Our own theology. This can even stop us from hearing what God wants to say to us, especially if we believe God only speaks in a certain way. If God is calling you to something new, sometimes what you believe can get in the way. God wants to help us where we don't yet trust Him to do things we have never seen before. He delights to show us His ways.

• Assuming. Presumption or assuming that you already know what is being said can be a hindrance too.

• Busyness. If you're trying to find something new, busyness is another thing that will keep you from hearing God. What do you need to say "no" to so you can eliminate the hindrances to hearing God?

Called to Something New?

When God calls us to do something new, we often have to forget the former ways that we did things. This is usually difficult for us to do. But it is our old ways of thinking or old ways of doing things that is the very reason we need to hear God for something new. God changes the seasons in our lives and what worked in a previous season might not work now.

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

What Is It For You?

What are some of the former ways you've been doing things?

As we advance and mature in our ability to hear God, our previous ways of doing things might not work as effectively as they once did. I have noticed that many people's spiritual gifts are shifting or morphing right now. (Photo via flickr)

For me, I have seen this happen recently in my own life. I used to be able to give over 100 prophetic words to people per hour. I did this in a rapid-fire process and the revelation would come in me and flow out of my mouth before I had time to think about it. This has lifted from me and I get exhausted after 25 people. Instead, I now am able to help people recognize their season, God's timing and deeper wisdom.

God is doing something new right now. I believe that if you put yourself out there to learn to discern, and if you ask God to speak to you and begin to record what you hear, God will answer you and you will be more ready than ever to hear and respond.

This is such an exciting time to be alive. It is going to be a great transition into a new season of new effectiveness.

The dreams and visions God births in us bring revelation, illumination, and inspiration. Revelation is the disclosure of divine knowledge and truth that has always been present but not yet realized. The Holy Spirit instantly reveals spiritual knowledge about God and His ways through direct or indirect revelation to a person's spirit.

Revelation is not learned through the intellect (gnosis assumption or scientific, methodical knowledge); it is imparted into the depths of the spirit's (epignosis) intuition, which brings an exact, truthful knowledge. To know God is to experience God. The Spirit of God cannot be known by the intellect; for the intellect can only know His attributes. Revelation comes from the Greek word apokalypsis. It means the unveiling of mysteries, which have been hidden or concealed, that are revealed or discovered by removing a covering.

Revelation comes to bring an accelerated transformation. Revelation knowledge births change in the soul; awakening an unmediated spiritual awareness, that forwards one's movements on a higher plane, to grant a quickening of their faith's actions in the Spirit. The spirit realm moves at a much greater speed than the natural realm to allow creative miracles to occur. The mind cannot comprehend the manifestation of the revelation knowledge of the glory of the Lord that is covering the earth (Habakkuk 2:14) but the spirit can.

Spiritual Intimacy

Knowledge is the Hebrew word yada that is used in (Genesis 4:1). Yada depicted Adam and Eve's lying down together in spiritual intimacy, skillfully showing, revealing their most intimate needs and secret desires without inhibition or reservation, completely trusting that they would find mutual fulfillment while gazing into each other's eyes, and by this observation, learning how to please, respect, comprehend, perceive, and know each other completely; sexually, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. 

Adam and Eve had to teach one another. They answered their mate's questions, and declared when pleasure was reached. They became familiar with each other's bodies. They discovered and understood what made them feel loved. When the light of their two souls touched through intercourse, they ignited, merged and intermingled to become one. 

Yada means to learn to know, discover through observation, to discriminate, discern or distinguish between, as one becomes thoroughly acquainted physically, emotionally, and spiritually with the one they love. Revelation knowledge comes when we are intimately acquainted with God's Holy Spirit and His ways, knowing what is pleasing to Him and learning how to bring Him pleasure.

Revealed knowledge becomes ours experientially when we acknowledge God's presence, surrender to Him by following and obeying His will. Faith and the practice of spiritual knowledge are required to manifest the glory of God. The meat of revelation is for mature people who have experienced and practiced moving in the glory to discern the difference between good and evil (Hebrews 5:14). Without revelation knowledge we will never progress to the next dimension of supernatural glory. The glory realm requires a humble spirit that is motivated by total dependence upon the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual and Intellectual Enlightenment

Illumination is derived from both spiritual and intellectual enlightenment. Symbolically the bee represents illumination, industry, diligence, and expertise, harmony, wisdom, and sociability. Bees are generous givers and share their lives with others in the community thus they can also represent the power of resurrection. The Old Testament prophetess Deborah's name meant bee or prophetic discourse. Spiritual instruction and guidance bring prosperity to the citizens of eternity when the lamp or the eyes of the body are full of God's light. Spiritual illumination will draw both the light of God's favor and the favor of man upon a person.

Inspiration is the ability to mobilize others by communicating the discovered truths of God so that others can understand and champion the cause for God. To inspire means to inhale, or breathe in the Spirit to stimulate the mind, to create or to activate the emotions to a higher level of understanding. To spiritually inspire is to guide, declare, to reveal the future through the anointed Word of the Lord. affect or arouse by the divine influence of the Holy Spirit. 

The Spirit of the Lord calls to the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, to impart His revelation knowledge, illumination, and inspiration in the depths of our spirits ability to apprehend. The Holy Spirit skillfully leads us into the glory; the deep, secret, mysterious things of God. 

Psalm 42:7-8 reads: Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. By day the LORD directs His love, at night His song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life (NIV).
