"Prepare Your Heart to Hear the Roar of God's Thunders Across the Earth!"

by Bobby Conner, Bullard, TX

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzI sure appreciate Bobby Conner and his revelations from the heart of God to the Body of Christ.

There is so much of the Lord we do NOT know about Him yet...and we will be learning about Him for eternity!

Just as Bobby Conner shares here:
It is awe-inspiring and breathtaking to understand that we have only seen the mere fringes of His force. We have only heard the faintest whisper of His voice. Even in the endless eternities of Heaven we will never come to the end of the fullness and of understanding of all God is.
I pray as you read through Bobby's word, it will cause you to seek more about the Lord...more than you could possibly imagine! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"Prepare Your Heart to Hear the Roar of God's Thunders Across the Earth!"by Bobby Conner, Bullard, TX

In a recent prophetic encounter, I was before the Lord in an "attitude of gratitude" for all that He has done. I was thanking Him for the many uncountable examples and displays of His mighty power that we have been privileged to behold when He totally stunned me with this statement: "YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET!" Then He directed me to look into this passage in the book of Job.

"Yet these are but [a small part of His doings] the outskirts of His ways or the mere fringes of His force, the faintest whisper of His voice! Who dares contemplate or who can understand the thunders of His full, magnificent power?" (Job 26:14, AMPC)

It is awe-inspiring and breathtaking to understand that we have only seen the mere fringes of His force. We have only heard the faintest whisper of His voice. Even in the endless eternities of Heaven we will never come to the end of the fullness and of understanding of all God is.

Wow! All that has been revealed, all that mankind has seen of God, is only the mere fringes of His force! All that we have heard is but the faintest whisper of His voice! These are parts of His ways – but very small parcels even of those of His works – which are visible to us. No matter how elegant one's speech nor profound their words, it would be a vain and fruitless attempt to undertake and to speak of all the wonders of Almighty God! We stand only at the outskirts of the mere fringes of His power and deeds.

God's wonderful works are so countless, so great, and so far surpassing our narrow conceptions, that we can't arrive at a perfect knowledge of them. But as Paul declared, "I push and press forward that I might know HIM" (see Phil. 3:13).

This passage revealing the mere fringes of God's mighty force has stirred within me a fresh new fire to get to know HIM more (see Job 22:21). We must never be content to stand, as it were, at a distance with profound reverence, and take a short imperfect view of a few mere sketches of the effects of His wonder-working power.

Deep within our soul, a greater hunger is rising to know HIM more! This powerful transformation from sideline to frontline is fast coming upon us. Just as Ruth was brought from the corner of the field to the center of the field to a place of fruitfulness, so will the Church be brought to the forefront during these days (see Ruth 2:16).

But how little a portion is heard of Him – of His wisdom, power and providence. If His external and visible works be so stupendous, how glorious then must be His invisible and more internal perfections and operations!

Remember "eye has not seen nor ear heard"' it is only by revelatory reception we receive more understanding of God's mighty works. Pray the plea of Psalm 90:16-17: "Oh Lord let YOUR works be seen!"

For what we see or know of Him is nothing in comparison of what we do not know and of what is in Him, or is done by Him. But the thunder of His power, who can understand? Of His mighty and terrible thunder, which is often mentioned as an eminent work of God.

Prepare your heart to hear the roar of God's thunders across the entire earth!

Doug Addison: "Hearing God, Knowing His Voice and Why It's Time to Let Go of the Old Things"

Doug Addison: "Hearing God, Knowing His Voice and Why It's Time to Let Go of the Old Things"

by Doug Addison
Nov 9, 2015
Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
Doug Addison is one of our most popular authors and people really, really enjoy his wisdom and prophetic words. Not only is Doug a prophetic minister but he is also a stand-up comedian. If you haven't been to one of Doug's meetings you really should! He's deeply prophetic and fun.
As we enter a new season with the Lord, many may struggle with "letting go of the OLD" and it can be difficult to do so, as Doug shares here:
When God calls us to do something new, we often have to forget the former ways that we did things. This is usually difficult for us to do. But it is our old ways of thinking or old ways of doing things that is the very reason we need to hear God for something new. God changes the seasons in our lives and what worked in a previous season might not work now.
It's important in this time that we hear HIS VOICE clearly as we make a shift out of the old ways...and Doug will help you do that with some practical steps in his latest word!

HR

There has been a positive shift for the good and it might require you to rise above your current situation to catch it. This is a time not only to hear God's voice more clearly, but also for us to activate the things God is speaking to us.
Hearing God, Knowing His Voice
God is speaking all the time but most people are not aware of it, or they have not been trained to recognize the variety of ways God speaks.
This could be through dreams and visions, prophetic words, music and the arts, the Bible, or the still, small whispers we often get from the Holy Spirit.
I recommend that you write down or journal what God is speaking to you right now. The reason is that God often speaks over a period of time and through various circumstances and events in our lives and we need to "learn to discern" God's voice from the clamor of things coming at us all the time. (Photo via Pixabay)
One distinctive of knowing God's voice is peace. Do you have peace in what you are hearing? Many prophetic words these days are instilling fear in people. You will recognize God's love and nature when you have peace in your spirit with what God is saying.
Hindrances to Hearing God
These are just a few examples of things that can hinder us from hearing God:
• Our own theology. This can even stop us from hearing what God wants to say to us, especially if we believe God only speaks in a certain way. If God is calling you to something new, sometimes what you believe can get in the way. God wants to help us where we don't yet trust Him to do things we have never seen before. He delights to show us His ways.
• Assuming. Presumption or assuming that you already know what is being said can be a hindrance too.
• Busyness. If you're trying to find something new, busyness is another thing that will keep you from hearing God. What do you need to say "no" to so you can eliminate the hindrances to hearing God?

Called to Something New?
When God calls us to do something new, we often have to forget the former ways that we did things. This is usually difficult for us to do. But it is our old ways of thinking or old ways of doing things that is the very reason we need to hear God for something new. God changes the seasons in our lives and what worked in a previous season might not work now.
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV
What Is It For You?
What are some of the former ways you've been doing things?
As we advance and mature in our ability to hear God, our previous ways of doing things might not work as effectively as they once did. I have noticed that many people's spiritual gifts are shifting or morphing right now. (Photo via flickr)
For me, I have seen this happen recently in my own life. I used to be able to give over 100 prophetic words to people per hour. I did this in a rapid-fire process and the revelation would come in me and flow out of my mouth before I had time to think about it. This has lifted from me and I get exhausted after 25 people. Instead, I now am able to help people recognize their season, God's timing and deeper wisdom.
God is doing something new right now. I believe that if you put yourself out there to learn to discern, and if you ask God to speak to you and begin to record what you hear, God will answer you and you will be more ready than ever to hear and respond.
This is such an exciting time to be alive. It is going to be a great transition into a new season of new effectiveness.
Blessings,

We Need To Hear God - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

We Need To Hear God
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.”
(Proverbs 4:20 Complete Jewish Bible)

How often do you need direction? Ever take a wrong turn because the GPS or Google maps app led you to a dead end road? It has done it to me.

Do you ever need wisdom to know what is the right thing to do, when to do it and how to do it? Probably everyday if we admit it.

As it happens often, I personally have to choose to give the Lord the opportunity to speak to me, so who and what I hear is coming from Him. Yes, He is speaking – through His Word, by way of other people sharing a thought with me, or having His Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew) drop a word in my brain at any given moment. If I am spiritually open, I will know it is Him.

Choosing to hear the Lord is up to each individual. Being raised a Roman Catholic, I thought it was the priest’s job to hear God. If God wanted to say something to me, of course He’d tell the priest and I’d hear it during his little sermonette given once a week at Sunday Mass. I could just sit back and let the man of the cloth do it. He was closer to God, right? (While at the University of Northern Iowa in the fall of 1973, my one and only year of college at the age of 18, the Lord revealed Himself to me big time. I then divinely understood what He meant when He told Peter Who the Rock was. It was Jesus Himself.)

For the “Protestants”, those having a pastor or teacher of the Bible can easily expect him to just tell you what to do during your weekly meeting. So why read your Bible or pray daily during a daily quiet time with the Lord? Let someone else do it for you. Or so many mistakenly think.

We can allow the constant onslaught of noise to so occupy our thoughts that even when He does speak we may not know it. That is our loss. It will cost us now and later.

The Almighty God, Creator of the universe, wants to communicate with His children. He desires to give us direction and wisdom, but we must give Him a quiet break in our lives to be able to hear Him.

It takes time to learn to hear the Lord’s voice. It is a discipline we must have. Being able to discern when He speaks is an ongoing process, even as we learned to listen in our youth. As a young child growing up, given time over the months and years, each child becomes accustomed to the sound of their parents’ voices. I heard once that even the unborn baby begins to recognize the voice of their mother. They respond accordingly when she talks. (Yet another reason to protect the unborn in their mother’s womb at any stage of their living growth.) So it is with the Lord. It takes time, but we can learn to hear His voice.
I often find myself during the day asking the Lord for help in my office accounting work for three businesses. It becomes especially necessary as the years have gone by and my memory banks do not seem to be as easily able to access the info needed. I like the joke I heard once of the aged one who said, “It takes a little longer to get the answer to a question nowadays. With all the information I have packed in my mind, those memory banks have more to process through.”

We need to hear God for our own personal lives. We need to hear God for our families. We need to be a part of the “working” Body of Christ, that rises up in our culture and declares His truth, opposing the deception rampantly spreading throughout the world. Only by hearing His voice will we be able to do it.

For the congregation we are connected to, we need to hear God. For the nation we abide in, we desperately need to know what the Lord is saying, so we can hear, obey and move forward with His directives.

Hearing God is especially more true today as His written Word has been replaced in all areas of society, including our government and the arts. Knowing what is now going on in the educational system, which presses upon our children’s minds a godless, humanistic, crumbling foundation; and Islamic and other false religions subtlety and blatantly showing up in text books and teachers’ lessons - we have got to hear the Lord, so we can act properly, and be sure our kids know the truth, and are raised right!

I encourage you to do whatever it takes for you to hear God. My practice is to give Him the first hour of the day. In order to do that I personally have to cut back the time I stay up at night watching TV. It is worth it, as He shares His heart with me in the morning hours.

How about you? Do you want to hear the Lord speak to you? Then give Him that time to do so. Believe me, He is waiting and willing to speak to you.

Prophetic Stewardship - Morris Ruddick

Morris Ruddick

"Operating in the prophetic requires first hearing from God. However, when we hear from God another key required layer is the issue of alignment and seeing things from the stance of what God is doing. It is becoming a participator in His destiny-shaping purposes and agendas. It is entering a dimension of God's big-picture beyond ourselves

Sometimes we can get the big-picture without seeing how God is getting us there. So, operating in prophetic requires a continual checking-in with Him for the "interims." That's because none of us are  at the place to where we don't need guidance for the next step, despite our best and most valiant efforts to do so

One of the hardest things to learn is to NOT force issues. The flip side of that is holding steady when you don't yet see the change in the natural. Yet, faith and faithfulness are determined by those who grasp what is underway in the unseen world.

When we are in a place where there is something that God is doing that we haven't fully or even partially discerned, it represents a place of vulnerability. Well intentioned people unwittingly walk into cross-fires of judgment by yielding to the flesh in these interims.

Prophetic stewardship requires keeping one's spiritual antennas high and, when provoked over something, to back off until you hear specifically what the Lord has to say about it."

Led by the Spirit by Elaine Tavolacci

Led by the Spirit

by Elaine Tavolacci

Identity Network

We often hear Christians say that they feel "led" to do something or other, meaning that they think or feel that the Holy Spirit is leading them in a particular direction. Many are not sure if they are actually hearing from God or if it is their own thoughts or their own will. The Lord is showing me that He wants every believer to be led by the Spirit, and He wants to make His voice known.

He is releasing revelation to those who are positioned to receive it. The Lord says, "As you seek truth, and as you seek to know Me more, the eyes of your heart will be enlightened. Those who are willing to go beyond the milk of My word will notice that their thoughts will begin to align with My word. They are those who are hungry for the meat and willing to leave foolish and childish things behind.

I will give them understanding of spiritual things and My truth will become alive in their innermost being. They are those who are willing to separate themselves unto Me. They are those who not only spend time with Me, but they live a fasted lifestyle and they walk in holiness. They refuse irrational arguments and they will readily forgive others who have wronged them.

They are not content with the milk, therefore they press on to the higher calling. They depend on My leading as they go about their daily chores and they know that they have been called and set apart for My plans and My purposes.

Renewal of Your Mind

As you allow My word to become part of you, your mind will be renewed. You will no longer desire to submit to the things of the carnal nature. The temptations of this world will grow dim as you hunger for spiritual realities.  The more that you spend time in My word and in My presence, you will find that hearing My voice will come with ease.

Pray in the spirit often to build yourself up in your most holy faith and as you do, you will become more attuned to My ways.  Soon you will find that as you continue to persevere, you will begin to be led by My Spirit. I will release discernment to see into the dark places. You will begin to discern the motives and intentions of the heart. You will understand My word with more clarity and insight.

I am filling the hearts of those who desire to know Me more. Those who are rooted and grounded will surely ascend to new heights. I will reveal My secrets to those who are seeking revelation, and the hidden mysteries. I will make My voice known to those who have treasured My words more than their daily bread. It is not mystical or mysterious to them because they have a personal relationship with Me.

They are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. They are those who have learned to tune in to My frequencies. Signs and wonders will accompany those who walk in My truth. Those who follow My word will walk in peace. Fear, confusion and anxiety will be far from them. So enlarge your vision and extend your boundaries and as you yield yourself to Me, My plans will be established in your life says the Lord.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

1 Corinthians 2:6-8 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

When God Speaks - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

When God Speaks
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8 NAS

What if God said something to you today, yes even today, that might totally catch you off guard? Out of the blue comes that still, small voice speaking into your spirit. You had no expectancy. No clue. No advance warning. He just spoke.

Has it happened before? Well, let’s see. Saul on the way to Damascus? Moses and the burning bush in the desert? Maybe a little more dramatic for most of us, but it happened.

So let’s start with something more down to “our level.”

During the night, while sound asleep, a dream occurs. Normally you don’t remember your dreams, or if you do, you put it off as just another thought that just so happened to occur during the hours of 3 am - 5 am and you can only remember a few details about it.

But you do remember part of the dream where there was movement going on in your life, and with that night time thought it actually put an expectation of something good coming your way. Was it God? Was He speaking to you, catching you when you didn’t have the other 100 thoughts running through your stressed mind? Maybe so. It has happened. It will happen.

Many people are hesitate in listening to God - they are afraid He will say to them, “Go to Africa.” Or maybe this, “Share your testimony with Rachel,” whom you already know would never want to know of it anyway, or so you have already told yourself many times already when the thought came.

God is speaking today. He didn’t quit speaking and creating after the six days were done. He didn’t just sit down on a big heavenly lounge chair, letting the world go on by itself, from that point forward. He is actively involved in the matters of the nations, of the cities, of the lives of each individual, whether they want to recognize Him or not. His love over rules their lack of it.

The Lord is setting up His final plans and purposes for the redemption of the nations. After sending His Only Son Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, the first time, He has been preparing for His return. God the Father has been active in the lives of all through the centuries, revealing Himself in countless ways – through dreams, visions, His mighty acts of creation. Even through the many countless wars and unrest occurring on all the continents, God Almighty is continually trying to reach you and I. He is speaking.

And what if God spoke a directive to you today? It will be His attempt to further reveal His perfect plan, that He wants you to participate in. He is preparing for that coming movement just up the road, that is certainly coming, that you need to be involved in. Would you know of it? Would you act on it?

Would you respond as Isaiah did, when we read this, “And then I heard the voice of the Master:  “Whom shall I send?     Who will go for us?” I spoke up, “I’ll go. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8, The Message)

Would you say as Mary did, “Yes, I see it all now: I’m the Lord’s maid, ready to serve. Let it be with me   just as you say.” (Luke 1:38, The Message)

In order for the Lord’s will to be done, there must be a people willing to hear and obey, to go when He says go; to walk where He says walk; to speak when He says speak. To move when He says move.

Many are weary with the life they are living, or the challenges they daily face. But as my good friend Morris Ruddick says, “There is something more.” He even wrote a book with the same title. Because there is.
Many of you are looking for an adventure, out of the routine, and have been prepared, ready to act upon the acts of God. I know am.

I encourage you today to be listening, to be expecting, to be watching for that rhema word, that NOW action word from the Lord - for you. And then when God speaks…

THE REVIVAL CODE (c) Morris E. Ruddick

THE REVIVAL CODE

(c) Morris E. Ruddick

SIGN

"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." Gal 6:2

I have heard many, who experienced the days of the Charismatic Revival,
to describe it with the words: "It was like there was something in the air."
Indeed there was. God was moving. There prevailed an awareness and
expectation with God that simply incited a priority to being a part of it.

I heard an author named Doug Wead ("Tonight They'll Kill a Catholic,"
Creation House, 1974) share about the research he did in war-torn
Northern Ireland, during a time in which Protestants and Catholics
were meeting together for prayer. His research was to verify the
incredible stories of miracles that were coming from these gatherings.
His observation was that in seven out of ten of the stories, there
indeed had been amazing things that had happened, but the stories
had been exaggerated. However, he noted that in three out of ten of
the cases, that they could only be described with the word: "WOW!!"

That was a generation ago. Since that time, the Body of Christ
has experienced much growth, both in numbers and maturity. Yet
when the word revival is raised, those we are close to, to a person,
can be quoted as expressing a longing for more, much more of
this dimension of God being at the forefront of everyday life.

Under the pressures of the Cultural Revolution, the church in China
equally had amazing growth and stories of miracles. Church growth
in places like Indonesia and Korea can be explained by nothing
short of revival fires being released. Similarly, the church in Vietnam
has emerged as a vibrant, praying church that has truly touched the
hem of His garment.

The Issues

Yet, in defining sovereign moves of the Spirit, the question must be
asked: What is it that distinguishes true revival from the contagion
of a well-orchestrated program. From models of revival, what are
the codes and strategies that ignite and sustain it? Likewise, is
revival something that has manifested just since the Acts 2
outpouring of the Holy Spirit or is there precedent historically within
the Jewish roots to the faith?

One of my favorite remembrances from the early 1970s, days of
vibrant revival fires, was what we referred to as body ministry. It was
one of the distinguishing characteristics of those days. Praying for
one another was more spontaneous. We took time to gather; to
bear one another's burdens.

I recall vividly small group gatherings that nurtured short words of
wisdom, exhortations, testimonies of answered prayer, simple
scriptures participants may have had on their hearts; all of which
came together prophetically under the Spirit's guidance to form
a theme that highlighted and encouraged those people gathering.

These interactive dynamics would be followed by spontaneous
prayer as members of the group revealed needs tied to the words
given. Spontaneity, Word-based, Spirit led were the key factors
that marked these gatherings. It was the gatherings like this that
became the spark that ignited revival in a broad, cross-section
of the church.

Similarly, Acts 2 notes that the believers in the early church met
daily and broke bread together in their homes; in addition to
meeting in the temple. The Amplified version notes those
gatherings included the Lord's supper and prayers (v. 42). Paul
gave instruction for such gatherings (1 Cor 14:26) with the
admonition that when they came together that opportunity should
be given for ministering to one another; building one another up.
He made it clear that this vital function should be done under
the guidance of leadership, decently and in order.

The Old Covenant is rich with historical references to what
happened when God's people came together, as one. This
was the purpose of the feast days which served purposes such
as community-wide repentance (Yom Kippur), to celebrating
God's deliverance of His people (Passover; the exact time
paralleling Jesus' resurrection), to giving honor to Pentecost
(the giving of God's Torah/Truth; which also was when the
Acts 2 outpouring of the Spirit happened).

"Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down
from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the
sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house.
The priests could not enter into the house of the LORD
because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD'S house."
2 Chron 7:1-3

Some of these community-wide gatherings involve fasting,
but each result in rejoicing, prayer and celebrating the Lord,
which includes spiritually festive times of eating together.

"So you will sing as on the night you celebrate a holy festival;
your hearts will rejoice as when people go to the mountain
of the Lord. The Lord will cause men to hear his majestic
voice and will make them see his anger and consuming fire,
with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail. The voice of the Lord
will shatter His enemies; with his scepter he will strike
them down." Isa 30:29-31

The Dynamics

When revival is in evidence its prime dynamics will include
the broad community-response of believers; the priority
given to God and His presence; and of hearing from Him;
all of which engenders radical obedience to God's
standard and heart.

Community-Response

Revival fires that are unleashed at the community-level,
will have an impact that affects the broader community:
a broad cross-section of churched and unchurched alike. It
brings an insatiable hunger for God as people reach out for the
reality of God operating in their midst.

It operates beyond denominational and doctrinal boundaries,
while adhering to central biblical common ground shared
by all. As our pastor from the early 70s told us: "In our faith
are some things, for which, we should be willing to die.
Those are the areas the Body needs to agree on."
Revival flows in those areas.

God's Presence and Priority
Times of revival are marked by the consciousness of
God's presence and powerful answers to prayer. With
a keen focus on prayer, worship and seeking God, there
is a reverence and centrality to giving the priority necessary
to take that "next step" with God.

It provokes a trust and spontaneity of gathering with those
of a kindred spirit to seek Him, in waiting on Him with
prayer gatherings that tap and unveil the specifics of
His priorities and will.

Hearing God

Revival pivots on the consciousness of
His presence which results in hearing from God. It
involves a humility and trust that is willing to be personally
vulnerable in order stay in the prophetic flow of the Spirit.
Operating in the flow of His Spirit and His will, results
in the tendency toward remarkable answers to prayer.

Hearing God is always in conformance with the standard
of His Truth. Those truly tapping God's guidance are like the
Bereans in Acts 17, daily searching the Scripture to verify
and grasp all that the Spirit is imparting.

Radical Obedience

Hearing God and obeying is not in any
way passive. It realigns and it changes things. It changes
things on both an individual and a community-level. It becomes
the basis of what is referred to as societal transformation.

It can be said that spiritual maturity kicks in when the prime
focus shifts from issues of self to engaging one's calling in
serving community and Kingdom issues. Radical obedience
accelerates this process. It generates a more global,
proactive perspective that is interactive among those
sharing in this flow of the Spirit.

Most Distinguishing Characteristic

True revival is marked by the atmosphere of God's presence.
It is an atmosphere of His presence that doesn't fade when
the gathering is over. It abides. It represents a spark, an
igniter of the Spirit which those embracing it carry with them.

What we perceive when "God is moving" is first our
heightened God-consciousness, together with a God-response
to our spiritual hunger and purity of our reach for Him.

When the atmosphere of God's presence prevails, the
dynamic fuels an explosive multiplication. This is the
increase that results as the combination of the anointings
and the diversity of the gifts of those in community,
responding to revival begin operating together in unity.

Those who have experienced revival, the atmosphere of
His presence, yearn for the unfathomable consciousness
of His presence. It is insatiable. It has a depth that knows
no bounds. It sparks at the dividing asunder between soul
and spirit. It is contagious for those who truly seek Truth.
His presence indeed changes everything.

Revival's Catalysts

There are subtle, but distinct differences between the
catalysts that ignite revival; and the nurturing or maintaining
of revival; and of spiritual maturing.

Sound doctrine helps us mature spiritually as we
progressively grasp the glimmers of His Truth. Yet Jesus
referred to the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth, Who
leads us into all Truth. Holy Spirit revival fires guide us
into Truth. Revival is that process of release that provokes
the manifestation of the reality of God.

There are some who are carriers of revival. This is a key
function of how the anointing operates

Carriers of revival are catalysts, igniters of God's presence.
When one spends time in God's presence, they begin to
operate as a carrier of His presence. We make reference
to "flowing" in His Spirit. The anointing is given release,
from the priority given to time spent with God.

When it matures with a pure heart, the overflow of the
anointing operates in concert with the leadership anointing,
each within their own sphere (2 Cor 10:13). It is the
foundation for influence. It has become the basis of many
successful ministries. It similarly represents the authority
of the intercessor to be a shield for those for whom they
stand in the gap.

Moses was a carrier for God's presence. He was a
gatekeeper for God's glory among the people. It was a
dynamic that began with the time Moses spent in God's
presence together with the fervency he had in reaching
for the conscious abiding of God's presence.

"'I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, let me
know Your ways that I may know You, so that I may find
favor in Your sight. Consider too, that this nation is Your
people.' The Lord said, 'My presence shall go with you,
and I will give you rest.' Moses then said to Him, 'If
Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us
up from here. For how can it be known that I have
found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not
by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people,
may be distinguished from all the other people of the
earth?' Then Moses said, 'I pray You show me your glory.'"
Ex 33:13-19

Many years ago, during a time of ministry, a man of
God prefaced his ministry to us with these words:
"I sit in the presence of the Lord. There are many things
I could say to you; but what I bring you, I bring from the
presence of the Lord." That orientation is one of my
chief prayers for what I scribe with my writings and
what I impart with my God's economy program.

I have no desire to operate outside that context. I
yearn for and seek the anointing that breaks the
yoke. In this quest, for over two decades, I have
embraced a lifestyle of arising in the middle of the
night to pray and seek God. It is a part of the cost.

The Kingdom of God is the culture through which
God's people operate. Revival and the restoration
of God's order are at the heart of the Kingdom. God
is a consuming fire. His presence is a catalyst, a fire
that ignites change in its wake. When manifesting,
this conscious, flowing presence of the Lord, through
His people, yields the authority to reset governments
and economies and the cultures of the peoples
of the world.

At the core of this abiding presence operating through
His people, is what Paul referred to as the law of Christ:
bearing one another's burdens. Scripture tells us that
Jesus took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows.
He was bruised for our iniquities and by His stripes we
were healed. It is the standard for those willing to endure
the cost. It is the banner for those who have been
prepared for this season.

It is a mantle of fire traversing a pathway of fire, with a
responsibility and authority that wields God's glory to
restore His order. It is a mantle that carries a cost for
those paying the cost in paving its pathway.

"The wilderness and wasteland shall be glad. The desert
shall rejoice and bloom. You shall see the glory of the
Lord, the excellency of our God. So strengthen the weak
hands, make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who
are feeble-hearted: 'Be strong, do not fear.' Then the
eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the
death unstopped.

The lame shall leap like a dear and
the tongue of the dumb sing. Waters shall burst forth
in the wilderness and springs in the desert. The parched
ground shall become a pool and a highway shall be
there and a road. It shall be called the highway of
holiness. The unclean will not pass over it, for it shall
be for the redeemed; and whoever walks this road
will not go astray." Isaiah 35:1-8
