Meet 100 Israelis ✡ "Love Your Fellow As Yourself" - Israel365

Today's Israel Inspiration

The late Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion made the following speech in 1944 to a gathering of youth in Haifa: “Ours was a tiny nation inhabiting a small country, and there have been many tiny nations and many small countries, but ours was a tiny nation possessed of a great spirit; an inspired people that believed in its pioneering mission to all men, in the mission that had been preached by the prophets of Israel. This people gave the world great and eternal moral truths and commandments. This people rose to prophetic visions of the unity of the Creator with His creation, of the dignity and infinite worth of the individual because every man is created in the divine image, of social justice, universal peace, and love: ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.’ This people was the first to prophesy about ‘the end of days,’ the first to see the vision of a new human society.” Just as Ben-Gurion described, Colel Chabad has kept the vision of preserving the dignity and worth of every individual alive. By caring for the hungry and elderly in Israel, Colel Chabad promotes the commandment of "loving your fellow as yourself."

Treating the Children of Israel with Love and Respect

With Israel’s birth rate the highest in the developed world, day care centers in the Holy Land are filled to capacity. Though Israel’s population explosion is a miracle and a blessing, the need for quality child care centers is a pressing issue.

God's Land

The Torah is more than a book of laws; it is the legacy of the Jewish people. It tells of the creation of a nation chosen to be the emissaries of God. The Torah begins with the story of creation so that there can be no question that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish People. From the beginning, God intended for the People of Israel to do His holy work from the holy Land of Israel, and that from there their light would emanate. May our study of the Israel Bible strengthen each of our appreciation for the Land of Israel.

For Your Name Is Holy - I Enter The Holy of Holies
Paul Wilbur

Aug. 18, 2017

Greetings LoveMusic! friends,

If you are at all familiar with Messianic praise and worship music, then you know Paul Wilbur. I know the rest of the world does too!

From the times he has led the Feast of Tabernacles celebration in Jerusalem with ICEJ (International Christan Embassy Jerusalem) and did live Integrity Music recordings for Hosanna!Music; to his ministry trips to South America, leading the Hispanics in Spanish worship songs; to those gatherings even in Concord, North Carolina (just outside Charlotte), where I had the joy of hearing him a few years ago - Paul Wilbur has taken the Hebrew/English/Spanish songs of the Lord to the nations!

With his Jewish background, his faith in Yeshua HaMashiach, and his zeal to praise the Living God of Israel with all his might, he has done so with such skill, inspiration, and much encouragement, both through having a tremendous voice and playing his acoustic guitar. Paul has been a real treasure and strength to the Body of Messiah, the One New Man.

I know I have all his recordings, and because of them have led worship many times in church with them.

We all bless you Paul Wilbur, and give much, much thanks for your gifts and leadership!

The Dow Falls 274 Points As ‘Eclipse Fever’ Hits The Financial Markets - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Posted: 17 Aug 2017 Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Have we now entered a time of major financial shaking?  On Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 274 points.  The was the largest decline for the Dow since May, and high yield bonds were down dramatically as well.  Many are blaming the terror attack in Barcelona and “instability in the White House” for the downturn, but could “eclipse fever” also be a factor?  The closer that we get to the solar eclipse on August 21st, the weirder people seem to be getting.  You will see what I am talking about below.

But first let’s talk about the financial markets.  I have been warning that stocks are massively overvalued for quite a while now, and it turns out that the Federal Reserve very much agrees with me
“Since the April assessment, vulnerabilities associated with asset valuation pressures had edged up from notable to elevated, as asset prices remained high or climbed further, risk spreads narrowed, and expected and actual volatility remained muted in a range of financial markets.”
Even the Fed is warning that we are in a bubble, and it is just a matter of time until that bubble bursts.

And anyone that is paying attention should be able to see the red flags all around us.  In fact, we have just witnessed the most “Hindenburg Omens” that we have seen since November 2007.  The technical indicators are absolutely screaming that a major downturn is dead ahead, and John P. Hussman is encouraging everyone to be cautious and to “consider watching from a safe location”…
Given obscene valuations, lopsided bullishness, and (importantly) clearly deteriorating internals, consider watching from a safe location.
We shall see what happens, but I tend to very much agree with Hussman.

Meanwhile, the closer that we get to August 21st, the crazier people seem to be getting.  The following comes from USA Today
As citizen scientists collectively nerd-out ahead of Monday’s total solar eclipse, rogue observers of the spooky and weird are generating theories that the celestial event could usher in aliens, boost sightings of “interdimensional” creatures and perhaps even plunge us toward world destruction.
None of those things are going to happen, but there are some very odd things about this eclipse that are definitely worth noting.

In a previous article, I noted that the first major city in the United States that the eclipse will cross is named Salem.  Well, it turns out that the eclipse will actually cross a total of seven cities named Salem, and of course “Salem” is short for “Jerusalem”.

I also find it very interesting how much the number “33” is associated with this eclipse.  The following are just a few examples
This solar eclipse is highly unusual for so many reasons and it occurs just 33 days before what may very well be the Great Sign.  It begins in the 33rd state, ends at the 33rd parallel, and occurs on the 233rd day of the year, which is 33 weeks and 2 days into 2017.  The eclipse will take 1 hour and 33 minutes to cross the country and occurs 133 days (inclusive) before the end of 2017.
And of course this solar eclipse begins a period of 40 days which will end with Yom Kippur on September 30th.  The following is an excerpt from a Charisma News article authored by Ron Allen which I think has some really good insights…
Teshuvah, the 40-day Jewish season of repentance, literally means to return to the presence of God, and is a time of introspection and a reminder of judgment. It begins on the first day of the sixth month known an Elul, and the solar eclipses that occur on Teshuvah add to the meaning of Teshuvah. The Teshuvah eclipses are signs of coming judgment, like the Trumpets eclipses, but they are also signs of unity in the presence of God. Thus, the Teshuvah eclipses are both an invitation to return to God and a warning of judgment.
During the totality of the eclipse, the sky will become dark and the stars will become visible. Right next to the eclipse, only 1.5 degrees away, the brightest star in the judgment constellation Leo (the lion), Regulus (treading under foot) reminds us that Christ, the lion of Judah, will put His enemies under His feet (1 Cor. 15:25). Southeast of the eclipse, the planet Mercury, the morning star laid low symbolic of Satan, will appear under the feet of Leo, adding to the warning of judgment.
So is this solar eclipse actually a warning that America should repent?

Many Christian leaders all over the nation believe that this is the case.  In fact, Billy Graham’s own daughter, Anne Graham Lotz, is one of them
In light of Ezekiel 33:1-6 that commands a watchman to be faithful to warn others of the danger coming against the land, I feel compelled to issue the warning once again. The warning is triggered by the total solar eclipse of Aug. 21, 2017, nicknamed “America’s Eclipse.” For the first time in almost 100 years, a total solar eclipse will be seen from coast to coast in our nation. People are preparing to mark this significant event with viewing parties at exclusive prime sites. The celebratory nature regarding the eclipse brings to my mind the Babylonian King Belshazzar, who threw a drunken feast the night the Medes and Persians crept under the city gate. While Belshazzar and his friends partied, they were oblivious to the impending danger. Belshazzar wound up dead the next day, and the Babylonian empire was destroyed.
I do not know what will happen before, during or after the eclipse, but I do know that America is in very deep trouble.

If we continue on the path that we are currently on, there is no future for our nation.
Unfortunately, most Americans aren’t listening to the warnings.  Most people simply assume that America is far too powerful to ever fall, and they see absolutely no reason why we need to change our ways.

Hopefully we can get America to wake up, because time is rapidly running out.

Hiking Through - One Man's Great Adventure on the Appalachian Trail - CBN News Wendy Griffith

Hiking Through - One Man's Great Adventure on the Appalachian Trail
08-18-2017
CBN News Wendy Griffith

Each year thousands of people attempt to hike the entire Appalachian Trail from start to finish. Only one in four completes it. When then 58-year-old Paul Stutzman took his first steps on the 2,176 mile journey, he wanted more than a great adventure. He was looking for an encounter with God.

Years before, Paul was busy living life. He was happily married, had three children and a great job managing a large restaurant in Ohio's Amish country.

Then in 2002, doctors diagnosed his beloved wife Mary with breast cancer. Although they did everything they could and believed God would heal her, Mary passed away four years later.

Learning About Grace from God
This devastated Paul and left him consumed with a burning question for God. Why?
A year after Mary's death and still with no answer, Paul knew he had to do something different.
"And I just felt God say, 'It's time, give it up, go on the trail and I'm going to meet you there,'"he said.
So Paul quit his job and started his journey on the famous Appalachian Trail, nearly 2,200 miles of rugged wilderness that begins in Springer Mountain, Georgia, passes through 14 states, and ends at Mt. Katahdin, Maine.
"The first night on the Appalachian trail, I'm in my tent, I'm lying there, I can't sleep, it's raining and I just gave up a good job to be out here in the woods to get rained on. So I just kind of reflected back on my life, and how I'd grown up and I just told God that night, you're going to be my hiking partner and I want answers and I want to know more about grace," he said.
Paul says his journey progressed much faster than he expected.
"I had planned on six months, but growing up Amish and Mennonite, we have a strong work ethic, so I'd get up early in the morning and I'd just hike all day. I ended up doing it in four and a half months, which is pretty fast."
"My average on the whole hike was seventeen and a half miles a day, but that includes eight days where I took a zero day, which means a day off.  I also had a couple of days in Virginia that were 23 miles and even a few 28 mile days. But then in New Hampshire and Maine where it gets pretty rugged, there were days where I only did ten to twelve miles, but the average was seventeen and a half," he said.
Apostle Paul Headed to Damascus
"I picked the trail name Apostle and I took that name (obviously my name is Paul) so I was the "Apostle Paul," and 500 miles up the trail is Damascus, Virginia  so I was the "Apostle Paul" headed to Damascus," he said.
"I enjoyed Virginia especially. Virginia is the longest state, probably about 600 miles, but it's not quite as difficult. But the scenery coming over the Shenandoah National Park, the scenery is just gorgeous in Virginia," he added.
During his first month on the trail Paul lost 30 pounds and got in the best shape of his life.
A Hiker's Reward
"Once a week, I'd hitchhike into town because I had food boxes sent to me about every 100 miles. The average hiker burns about 6,000 calories a day so you can't eat enough."
Paul says despite the rain and hunger, the trip ultimately healed him.
"The first year after my wife passed away I ran, I stayed busy and finally on the [Appalachian] trail [hiking] at two miles an hour I was exhausted. My body was exhausted, but my mind was becoming very sharp  and the farther I would hike and the more tired I got, the more clear my mind became and I started seeing a purpose in what God was doing," he said.
Day after day, Paul cried out to God...then, on a Sunday morning somewhere in New Hampshire, he finally got his answer.
"He took me on my face in tears when He revealed to me why I was on this trail and God said, 'you're writing a book, put this message in the book' and I said this message is sort of for pastors and ministers not for a hiker and God told me that morning, 'I will get that book and I send you places pastors can't go,'" he said.
Jesus is Coming Back
While it wasn't the personal message he was hoping and expecting – Paul saw it as a word for everyone….Jesus is coming back.
"I'm coming back and tell people that I am coming back, I'm in control, I know what's going on.'  What I heard was I had to take your wife to get you out here on this mountainside to hear this message," Paul said.
Paul says that when someone loses a spouse he needs to remember the loved one is no longer going through pain.
"Grieving means we loved somebody; the only way not to grieve is not to love. Our loved ones want us to go on with life  they've got it made, they're in heaven, they're just having a ball, and we're the ones that are kind of suffering down here and they want us to enjoy life and there's a lot to enjoy," he said.
And Paul talked about what he would like his own grave marker to say at the end of his life. "Would I want it to say he worked at a restaurant all of his life?" he mused. "Or would I want it to say, he took a chance, he took a risk, and he quit his job and he hiked the Appalachian Trail? I decided I wanted it to read that way," he said.
Paul successfully completed his journey on the Appalachian Trail in August of 2008.
He's the author of Hiking Through: One Man's Journey to Peace and Freedom on the Appalachian Trail as well as six other books about his adventures, including his latest one about walking the Jesus Trail in Israel. That book is set for release in November 2017.  For more information on Paul's life and travels you can check out his website: http://paulstutzman.com/
