Jonathan Cahn: Will America Avoid Calamity?

Jonathan Cahn: Will America Avoid Calamity?

"And in the midst of the greatest moral and spiritual decay in modern times, the pulpits have largely grown silent in answering it, more focused on how God can fulfill our will and desires than calling the church to fulfill the will and desires of God." (Dollar Photo Club/blvdone; Les Cunliffe)
I take no joy in being the bearer of bad news.
That might sound strange coming from the author of The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah. But that's the point. If I must be that bearer, then there has to be a very strong reason behind it. And so when I'm asked to write how America can avoid judgment or calamity, I find myself in a predicament. The reason is this: I don't believe it will be avoided. And if we don't look at the magnitude of the situation, we'll be of no effect, impact or good in the matter.
What we are now witnessing is unprecedented in the history of America and modern culture. In the 1970s Ruth Graham made the statement: "If God doesn't judge America, He'll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah." Those words were spoken at a time when the Ten Commandments were still displayed in public schools and government buildings, when marriage was overwhelmingly upheld, when the idea that God and Jesus could be mocked on national television as the object of comedy would be unimaginable, when the idea that there would come a time when half or more of American children would be born out of wedlock and the president of the United States would be endorsing homosexuality would be unimaginable. And yet if Ruth Graham could speak of God's judgment on the America of that day, how much more true is it now, and how much farther is this nation down the road to judgment?
While individual believers, churches and ministries may see success in ministry and many brought to salvation, the state of the church as a whole with regard to the culture that surrounds it is another matter altogether. Despite what many preach, these are not the best of times and things are not getting better—but decidedly worse. There has been no great national revival on American shores in years. But there has been a great apostasy. And that apostasy has deepened in its intensity, widened in its scope and accelerated in its speed. And most of the church has been ineffective in slowing it down, much less stopping or reversing it.
We now find ourselves on the defense, having our jobs threatened for merely standing on the Word of God. And rather than causing us to grow stronger, too many believers and ministers have grown timid and weak, not wanting to pay a price for their faith. And in the midst of the greatest moral and spiritual decay in modern times, the pulpits have largely grown silent in answering it, more focused on how God can fulfill our will and desires than calling the church to fulfill the will and desires of God. And we wonder why the culture around us is going to hell. If the American church had been the salt and light it was called to be, there is no way that the culture could have grown so dark and rotting.
So do I believe that we can avoid God's judgment, the hand of His shaking? No—not any more than could ancient Israel. No nation, so blessed with God's blessings, can so blatantly war against the God of its blessings and expect those blessings to continue. I believe a great shaking is coming to this nation. Does that mean I have no hope? No, not at all. Rather I believe that America has grown so far from God that without a great shaking there would be no hope. I believe America has grown so deafened to God's voice, that it will not be in His whispers but in His crying out and shouting that it has any chance of now hearing. Most of us came to the Lord, or drew closer to the Lord because there was some kind of shaking in our lives. If that's true for individuals, why do we think it less true for nations?
In the days after 9/11, it looked as if there was going to be a national revival. And there was a window of time when it could have taken place. All across the nation, people flocked to churches and prayed for God's blessing. But there was no revival because there was no repentance. And without repentance, there can be no revival. And so it was not only that America failed to return to God, but in the years following 9/11, grew much farther away from God than it had ever been before. I believe it will take an event even greater than 9/11 for America to wake up and return. I don't believe that it's a choice between judgment or revival. At this point in America's descent from God, I believe it will only be through judgment, as in a great shaking, that revival would come—to those who will hear and turn.
Do we have a role to play in this? Yes. Do we have any biblical model to give us direction? We do. The prophet Elijah likewise lived in a time of national apostasy and judgment. And yet he was powerfully used to accomplish God's purposes. What does he reveal to us about our calling in this day?
A Time of National Apostasy
Even in the face of great evil and persecution, Elijah never succumbed to the temptation to live on the defensive. He lived decidedly on the offensive. He knew that no matter what it looked like, God was in control and so as long as he followed God, he would be living on the winning side. Elijah lived, not to be acted upon, but to act upon the world around him. In the same way we must resist the temptation, in a day of great evil, to become reactionary and to live on the defense. The Lord didn't give us that option. We are of the kingdom that only advances. We must therefore live proactively, resolving that we will not be affected by the world, but the world will be affected by us. We must set our hearts, make it our goal, to impact the darkness around us with the light.
Lights in the Darkness
Elijah was engaged with the nation and culture surrounding him. He was a light shining in its darkness. We must be the same. No matter what age we live in and no matter what the state of its culture, our calling to be the light of the world remains. The light doesn't ignore the darkness. The light doesn't pretend that the darkness isn't really that dark. It doesn't tone down its light to be politically correct or not to offend. It doesn't hide its radiance in fear of persecution. Nor is it content to live a self-absorbed existence focusing on itself and its own prosperity. If it does any of these things, then it ceases being the light. What does the light do? It shines. It lights up the darkness. It changes the world around it. If we want to see revival, we must do likewise.
Weaned and Plugged In
Elijah lived in the midst of famine, and yet was unaffected by it. He had weaned himself of dependence on his culture and world. At the same time he became more and more dependent on God. The two things go together. Likewise, in the days ahead, we must become more and more independent of the world and culture around us. We must wean ourselves, our spiritual life, our emotional life, our thought life, our identity from the world. How do we do that? By becoming more dependent on God. The more plugged into God we become, the more independent of the world we will be. We must root and ground our lives all the more deeply and strongly on God and His Word. That which can be shaken will be shaken. But that which is rooted and grounded in God's Word and truth will not be shaken.
Prayer, More Than Ever Before
In the same way, Elijah was a man of prayer. And the Bible records that his prayers were heard and effective. In the days ahead, we must become, even more so, people of prayer. In days of apostasy and chaos, it will be our sustenance and our strength, an anchor in the storm.
The Righteousness Key
Elijah was a man of righteousness. The Bible reveals that his righteousness was a key part of his ability to impact what happened to his nation. If we want to impact the future of our nation, we must likewise live lives of integrity and walk in righteousness. One of the most central Scriptures of revival, 2 Chronicles 7:14, involves as a key component that the people of God "turn from their evil ways." If we walk in darkness, how can we be a light to that darkness?
If we walk in the ways of the world, how can impact it? And if we're afraid of being different, how can we make a difference? It is crucial that we do whatever we have to do to live lives consistent with our faith, and walk in righteousness.
Living to Bless
Elijah knew nothing of a self-centered faith, focused on increasing his blessings and prosperity. Had he been focused on such things, he would have become of no effect. We must reverse the momentum. Instead of living to be blessed, we must live to be a blessing. That's how Paul lived. That's how Messiah lived. And that's the vessel that God will use to impact the world.
Unadulterated, Uncompromised
Elijah never softened the Word of God and never compromised. In the same way, we must reject a watered-down gospel. If we want to see the full power of God's Word, we must take that Word at full strength.
We can't compromise to win people. Rather it is when we don't compromise that we burn with the passion of God and shine with His glory—that's when revival comes.
Your Own Revival
Elijah didn't just preach the calling of God—He lived it. So we too must not only preach revival and pray for revival—we must start living in revival now. We can't force others to walk in revival, but we can choose it for ourselves. If there is anything in our lives which has no place in the life of a saint, and which is under judgment, the time is now, not later, not tomorrow, to get it out of our lives. And if God has been calling us to answer His call, and we have not yet done it, the time is now, not later, and not tomorrow to answer it. Revival begins with us—or it doesn't begin at all.
The Time for Greatness
We must not pray that God will spare America hard times, but rather that God will do whatever it takes to bring about repentance, salvation, and revival. The ministry of Elijah wasn't hindered by calamity or persecution—rather it thrived. So the days in which we enter will not hinder our calling. In fact, these are the days that cause those who hold true to God's Word to become great. When the dark grows darker, the lights grow brighter. Choose to do the right thing, even when it's hard, even when it costs. Choose to be great and you will be—in His power. The eyes of the Lord search to and fro throughout the entire earth seeking the one whose heart is completely His. You be that person. And let us be that people. And God will greatly use us to accomplish His will on the earth for such a time as this.

Yes, There is More Than This! - R. Loren Sandford

Yes, There is More Than This!

Are you looking for an experience or to develop intimacy with Christ? (Lightstock )

Spirit Led Woman's Power Up Logo
It seems to me that the goal of some has shifted from seeking intimacy to seeking to be supernatural. I've learned the hard way in a lifetime of exposure to the things of the Spirit that if your goal is to be supernatural, then you'll end up shipwrecked.
If, however, your goal is intimacy with the Father and you hunger for His nature and character to be your own, then you'll end up being supernatural.
This subtle shift of focus on so many fronts has created a growing sense of disappointment in an increasing number of people. The same sense of disappointment is gradually taking root in the so-called seeker sensitive churches, which have not been part of the flow of revival. Even there, hearts are crying out, "There must be something more than this!"
As 2013 came to a close, the youth group at our church began to see an influx of young people from a fast-growing megachurch in the Denver metro area, all saying, "I need more. I'm tired of the emptiness over there. It's not enough!"
Excerpts from some emails I received illustrate well what I am hearing on a broad spectrum. See if something doesn't cry out, "that's me!" when you read this one.
This person wrote: "I'm 'sick' of all the me/focused 'worship' music and the whole 'me getting my feeling' emphasis, along with all the hoops to keep jumping through, along with the latest 'prophetic' word/vision stuff—and not to leave out the 'alignment' movement. More hoops! There I said it! It is time to get back to the Word, Christ-like character, and the Great Commission and kick all the latest charismatic-gimmick hoops aside. Isn't it time to seek the genuine blessings of the Spirit and thresh out the chaff?'
What we once did in innocence, obeying the sweet moving of the Spirit, we now make into methods, structures, impartations, and alignments. But Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matt. 18:3). There's the secret!
The answer to our hunger comes not from a focus on receiving from God, although we'll never stop receiving. We serve a giving God, a loving Father, and one of the highest forms of praise we can offer Him is to gratefully receive what He sends.
A growing number of believers, however, are coming to understand that the balm to soothe our growing ache focuses not on what we are getting or receiving but on what we're becoming. It's about the impartation of the Father's heart, nature, and character in us until we truly can be called sons and daughters of God who, from the deepest reaches of the heart, radiate who our Father is. Therein lies the second part of the message of the Father's love.
John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God. In Hebrew linguistic usage, to be a "son of" or a "child of" something is to resemble that thing in a significant way. Romans 8:19 applies the usage as well: "For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God."
I see a developing movement focused on impartation of the nature of the Father in character, disposition, heart, and spirit. It is a time of conformity to "the image of His Son" (Rom. 8:29). It has nothing to do with religious legalism or performance and everything to do with transformation of character from the inside out until we have the Father's heart as our own.
God's heart, then, would be to move us in this season from the remedial to the transformational, from receiving to becoming, so that we could exude the nature of the Father and the world would see and know Him by what they see and sense in us.
We're not living for an experience. We're living for oneness with our Father through our Savior, Jesus Christ in heart, character, and spirit. There lies the substance we long for. It leads to a greater intimacy with the heart of the Father than we have ever known.

Prayer Power for the Week of May 11, 2015
This week, pray that the Lord would continue His transforming work in your heart so that you would carry His presence and reflect the image of Christ in a dark and dying world. Continue to pray for open doors to share the gospel and be a blessing to those who desperately need Christ.
Pray that we, as the body of Christ, would unite in prayer and purpose for the persecuted church and worldwide revival. Remember those victimized by street violence, earthquakes and other natural disasters. Pray that Israel and our own nation will fulfill God's plan and purpose in this season (Rom. 8:29; 12:1-3; 2 Cor. 3:18).

Jerusalem's Shuk: Where Prophecy's Fulfilled

Jerusalem's Shuk: Where Prophecy's Fulfilled

JERUSALEM, Israel -- Jerusalem's open-air market is one of the most colorful and popular spots in the city and a place where you can see prophecy fulfilled.

Mahane Yehuda -- the camp of Judah -- known as the "shuk" in Hebrew, is Jerusalem's most famous market, and like so many other places in the city, there's nothing ordinary about it.

Mahane Yehuda

The market begins along the historical Jaffa Road. About a mile and half down the road is the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem's Old City.

In the late 1800s, a few brave Jews established homes in the area of the shuk, what was then a long way from the protection of the city walls.

"Today you would never even imagine such a thing, but when they moved out of the Old City, they were moving to these secured kind of neighborhoods, and that's why the name of the market is called Mahane Yehuda," tour guide Hannah Ben Haim told CBN News. "It's named after that neighborhood that was built in 1887."

Jaffa Road connects Jerusalem to the Mediterranean Sea port at Jaffa, considered by some to be the oldest harbor in the world.

"Who would have been on this road in recent history? Someone like General Allenby when he came and conquered this from the Ottoman's [in] 1917 [and] Theodore Herzl, the father of modern Zionism, came down this road," Ben Haim said.

"But when we think really old, really ancient, do you realize that the cedars from Lebanon, that were imported by [King] David and then [King] Solomon, they had to come from Jaffa into Jerusalem. Now, we don't know exactly the route they took, but this was the main artery," she said.

"It certainly hasn't disappeared off the face of the earth. It's had a transformation. Now it's a pedestrian mall with a beautiful European light rail going through it," she added.

Deep Symbolism

CBN's Scott Ross and his wife, Nedra, joined Ben Haim on a walk through the shuk on a busy Friday as shoppers prepared for the Sabbath.

"It's Shabbat, and we have to buy challah. Challah is the braided Shabbat bread and it comes in several different styles. One is sweeter than the other," Ben Haim told us.

"And traditionally you'd buy two of them because on the Friday when the children of Israel were in the desert, they always had a double portion," she added.

Many things in the shuk have a deeper symbolism for Israelis and Bible believers, like olives and olive oil.

"Of course the olive is part of the symbol of Israel. We have the menorah with the two abbreviated branches from Zachariah 4, 'Not by might, not by power,'" Ben Haim pointed out, noting that olive oil was burned in the menorah in the Temple.

Dozens of countries and cultures are represented in the shuk, brought here by Jews returning to the land from more than 100 countries.

An Iranian Jew started the Rosemary Spice Shop in Jerusalem in 1953 and later moved here to the shuk.

Today his grandsons still run the shop and grind and mix the spices themselves like their grandfather did. They sell mixtures that are good for rice, cheese, salads, or desserts.

"So that's three generations mixing spices and selling spices here in Jerusalem from Iran," Ben Haim said.

A Place to 'Remember'

An estimated 200,000 people visit the shuk each week. Rich and poor, young and old, religious and secular, as well as Jews and Arabs shop in the market. But it's had its share of tragedy, too.

In the center of the shuk a small plaque on the wall says "Remember" in Hebrew. It lists the names of 16 people.

On July 30, 1997, suicide bombers killed 16 people here and wounded almost 200. Terror attacks in the market virtually destroyed business so the municipality re-invented the shuk to make it one of the trendiest places in the city.

"How are we going to encourage people to come back here?" Ben Haim asked us. "So the new floors and the new ceilings…even though it doesn't look very brand new to you, and also the openness to so many different other kinds of shops and restaurants, bistros, even night life is here."

"It's obviously been very successful," Ross noted.

"So you see all things work together for good. This tragedy brought new life," Ben Haim continued.

Seeing God at Work

More than 250 vendors sell everything from fruits and vegetables to gourmet cheeses, nuts, and special boutique items like flavored tahini and halva.

And some of the best restaurants in the city are here. The Azura Restaurant is in the Iraqi section of the shuk. It's been here for decades, having started in 1952.

It's a kosher meat restaurant serving traditional Turkish and Iraqi food. One of the restaurant's specialties is "azura," a cooked eggplant stuffed with ground beef, pine nuts, and cinnamon.

The Rosses agreed the food was delicious.

"Do you see why they've been here so long?" Ben Haim asked.

"It's so amazing the abundance of food that's here. I mean the tomatoes are [giant] like that and the variety of food piled up," Ross said.

"You know this was prophesied. Ezekiel prophesied, 'I'm going to give them such abundance.' Why is He giving us such abundance? So the nations will know what I'm [God is] doing. And here we are living and enjoying it today," Ben Haim said.

One religious Jew summed up the shuk for the Rosses this way: He said if you want to talk to God, go to the Western Wall; but if you want to see God at work go to the shuk.

And that's exactly what they saw.

Bible Teacher Lance Lambert Dies in Jerusalem

Bible Teacher Lance Lambert Dies in Jerusalem

Screen Capture
JERUSALEM, Israel -- Beloved Bible scholar and teacher Lance Lambert passed away Sunday in Jerusalem at the age of 84.
Born in Richmond, Surry, in 1931, Lambert grew up in England and came to know the Lord as a 12 year old.
Later he prepared to enter the ministry in China, but was denied entry because of the Communist revolution.
Lambert served in the Royal Air Force in Egypt in the early 1950s, where he learned the nuts and bolts of intercessory prayer. From time to time, he would remind his audiences that people who referred to themselves as intercessors often were not.
After embracing his Jewish roots, Lambert received Israeli citizenship in 1980, making Jerusalem his home. His father and many members of his family perished in the Holocaust.
Lambert was a sought-out speaker on intercessory and corporate prayer and God's covenant relationship with Israel and the Jewish people and the author of numerous books.
He hosted a weekly prayer meeting in his home in Jerusalem's Yemin Moshe neighborhood.

"I Saw An Army of Women!" - Victoria Boyson

"I Saw An Army of Women!"

The Elijah List

"Can I have One Billion Souls, Lord?"

"Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder" Psalm 68:12 NIV

After I'd been praying, prophesying and believing God for revival for years, the Father asked me one day, "What kind of revival do you want?"

Knowing full-well His questions are usually leading questions, I asked Him, "Well, what kind of revival should I want, Father?"

He answered back, "Do you want a revival of souls or of miracles?"

I thought for a bit and answered, "I want a revival of souls...with a lot of miracles!"

"How many souls do you want?" He continued.

Digging deep for an answer, I remembered Evan Roberts from the historical Welsh revival asked God for 100,000 souls and he got them. So, I hesitantly answered, "Could I have 100,000 souls, Lord?"

He was silent.

I knew I had answered timidly, so I tried again. Reaching for more faith, I answered, "500,000 souls, Lord?"

Again, I heard nothing.

I knew I was not believing for enough from Him and tried again. "1,000,000 souls, Lord?" I asked sheepishly.

Again, nothing. I tried again, "5,000,000?"

Nothing.

Wow! I really thought I was led by faith with that last guess, so I just threw caution to the wind and declared loudly, "One-billion souls, Lord!!!"

"Now you are talking, daughter," He answered.
Later, I questioned Him, "Lord, how could I win a billion souls?" (Photo via flickr)

That is when He showed me His simple equation for exponential revival. He said, "All you need to start with is 5,000 people, sold out and equipped to redeem the harvest."

If those 5000 people each led only 3 people to the Lord, that would be 15,000, turning it over only 5 times, you would already be at 1 million people, and that is only the beginning. I saw it all as He laid out His plan in my spirit. With only 5,000 awakened Believers, I could win one billion souls.
So, when I think of you, dear friend, reading this message and walking in the liberty of the Father, I don't see you alone – I see 1 billion souls coming to Jesus through you!

A Great Light

One night as I slept, I was awakened by the Lord as His presence filled the room. Suddenly, I saw myself sitting in my little home, safe and snuggling, spending precious time with Jesus. As I continued to watch the vision unfold, I saw myself get up from my comfy chair and dart out into the dark chill of the night. Guided by one small torch, I felt compelled to venture into the night to try and light the way for the lost, whom I knew in my heart were trying desperately to find their way home.

As I stood atop a lone dark hill, I raised up my torch as high as I could. In the hope the lost would see its light, I held it for them to find their way in the darkness. Off in the distance, a group of wolves laughed at my little light and mocked my faith, "They will never see your puny light, girl."

I knew they were right in that my light wasn't much, but it was all I could do for them. So, I held it as high as I could for as long as I could stand it. Off in the distance, hidden by a thick covering of woods, I sensed the lost, too afraid to come to the light. Bolstered by the penetrating night, the wolves taunted them with their contempt as the heavy darkness blocked their way home.

Anger rose inside me in response to the audacity of the haughty wolves. It was terribly dark, yet their apathy enraged me. Throwing my head back, closing my eyes and looking toward Heaven, I cried out to God, "Make my light brighter, Lord!"

When I opened my eyes, I saw the entire hillside was lit up with a great light. As I looked around, it was literally covered with a large crowd of women (and some men) all holding their torches high into the night's sky to guide the lost home.

King David prophesied of a great host of women victorious in battle, "The Lord announces the word (Divine utterance), and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: 'Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder!'" (Psalm 68:11-12 NIV, emphasis mine).

God Will Bring the Victory to YOU!

The enemy has tried desperately to limit the effectiveness of women, but, just like Jael in Judges 4:17-24, if the enemy keeps you from going to war, God will bring the victory to you. So, let the enemy underestimate you. By underestimating you, he's just given you the keys to destroy him. He's placed you in just the right position to ruin him.

Deborah was a prophet who governed the entire nation of Israel while Sisera lead King Jabin's army against Israel. One day she called for Barak to lead the armies of Israel in battle against the Canaanite king. She said to him, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor. And I will call out Sisera, commander of Jabin's army, along with his chariots and warriors, to the Kishon River. There I will give you victory over him" (Judges 4:6-7 NLT).

Yet, despite Deborah's assurance of victory, Barak refused to go against Sisera unless Deborah agreed to go with him (Judges 4:8). Deborah agreed to go with the army, but prophesied that because of his lack of faith, he would receive no honor from the victory God would give them.

Instead, she said, "The Lord's victory over Sisera will be at the hands of a woman" (Judges 4:9 NLT). That woman was Jael. She was at home in her tent, but God brought the battle to her. (Photo by Donna Smallenberg "The Song of Deborah " via elijahshopper.com)

When Barak attacked, God caused Sisera and his men to run in panic. Looking for an escape, "Sisera ran to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, because Heber's family was on friendly terms with King Jabin of Hazor. Jael went out to meet Sisera and said to him, 'Come into my tent, sir. Come in. Don't be afraid.' So he went into her tent, and she covered him with a blanket.

'Please give me some water,' he said. 'I'm thirsty.' So she gave him some milk from a leather bag and covered him again. 'Stand at the door of the tent,' he told her. 'If anybody comes and asks you if there is anyone here, say no.' But when Sisera fell asleep from exhaustion, Jael quietly crept up to him with a hammer and tent peg in her hand. Then she drove the tent peg through his temple and into the ground, and so he died.

When Barak came looking for Sisera, Jael went out to meet him. She said, 'Come, and I will show you the man you are looking for.' So he followed her into the tent and found Sisera lying there dead, with the tent peg through his temple" (Judges 4:17-22 NLT).

Jael was probably the last one that Barak considered would win the battle for Israel that day, but God chose her for that very reason. God was sending us a message: We cannot limit Him! He refuses to be put in a box! Tell Him He can't do something and that is just what He will do. Give Him a desert and He'll make a forest (Isaiah 41:19). Give Him a housewife and He'll make her a warrior. This is God's heart concerning you. He sees beyond our weaknesses and sees a victorious warrior.

Who Are You?

When I first began to write, a good friend of mine offered to show my writings to an editor of a major publication. Of course I was delighted...until I heard back from her. The editor thought my writing was good, but implied I was a nobody, with no influence. "Who is she," the editor asked my good friend, "to tell me how to live..." It hit me like a brick and for another ten years I wrote nothing. I listened to their words and let them define me.

Ten years later, God showed me a vision for my writing. I saw a simple notebook full of prophetic words the Lord gave me and from the center of the page four silvery white birds suddenly appeared and flew out from the pages. I watched as I saw the birds fly all over the world – from an African hut, to the elaborate rooms of a palace and pulpits all over the globe. The Father promised me, "If you obey Me, I will carry your words all over the world." (Photo via Wikipedia)

I was simply in shock and fought hard to even believe what God showed me, but I obeyed Him and wrote. God fulfilled His promise to me and He has literally taken my simple words all over the world.

It began simply, as I was home raising my children, but it didn't take long before I was covering the world with His messages of hope. God brought the battle to me! I was just a simple housewife, yet from this humble beginning the Lord has given me the possibility of reaching the world. He has sent His messages "throughout the earth, and (His) words to all the world" (Psalm 19:4 NLT, emphasis mine).

Harvest of Potential

God did not create you to live in survival mode. He created you with the intention that you would enjoy your life and thrive – living to your fullest potential in Him. That is what He designed you for and it is His delight. He gets great joy in seeing you walk in the fullness of your potential. He enjoys your enjoyment. He has placed deep wells of potential inside you, which He intends to draw.

When the Father called you out of your shell to do the greater works (John 14:12) He planned for you to do, He anticipated everything you would need to accomplish His will. It's already inside you waiting to be harvested – to birth your dreams and manifest God's presence. (Photo via pixabay)

Just like Adam and Eve were convinced of their failure (Genesis 3:10), we battle the same feelings of inadequacies. Invariably, the lies sown into our roots at the beginning of our lives try desperately to hinder our growth and potential. And just like Adam and Eve, God says to you: "Who told you that you were naked?"(Genesis 3:11 NLT). God sees the lies the enemy has sown in your heart much more clearly than you do, so He calls your attention to it so you can uproot it.

The reality is: there is a war in the heavens over possession of your heart and mind. When you battle with the lies of the enemy, you will begin to see the realization of your potential. It is incredibly vital to Heaven and so very necessary to the Earth – you are that important. As you take authority over the lies of the enemy that want to rob you of your confidence, know you are not just wrestling for your own sake, but for the triumph of the Kingdom of Heaven.

As you stand in confidence to defeat destiny's thief, understand and recognize you stand in the confidence of the entire Kingdom of Heaven. So, tell that devil he has no chance against you and refuse to give him any place in your life. "Submit yourselves...to God. Resist the devil, and he WILL [literally] FLEE from you" (James 4:7 NIV emphasis mine).

God has placed wells of potential inside of you, and as you draw from it, you bring a great reward to His Kingdom. Draw near to Him and He will harvest your potential. Be confident that,"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus"(Philippians 1:6 NIV).

Psalm 68:11 prophesied the coming of a great army of women who would experience incredible victories for the Kingdom of Christ. God is calling His warrior-women to the forefront of the battle.

Women of Impact

My friends, Dr. Theresa Phillips (Praise Ministries Church in Chicago), Derene Shultz (co-founder of the Elijah List), and I have launched a group called WOMEN OF IMPACT. It is a movement designed by God to enable women to impact the world around them. Our goal is to raise an army, strengthen them, encourage them and then watch them bring in the harvest! Join us in Montgomery, TX this comingJune 4-6 for a powerful, life-changing time of ministry and impartation.

Just like the Samaritan woman at the well started the first revival and brought in a great harvest for the Lord (John 4:7-42), it is time for the women to join in declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations.

At the beginning of the year, God gave me a little rhyme – "Raise an Army, Prepare the Way, Light the Torch... it's time to Play!"

Truly, the Father has prepared you and now He's calling you. He needs you. The harvest is waiting – will you come?

WATCH: Jonathan Cahn Reveals Mystery of the Dark Angel

WATCH: Jonathan Cahn Reveals Mystery of the Dark Angel

When the Bible predicted the destruction of the Temple Mount, did it mean more than once?
That's what New York Times best-selling author Rabbi Jonathan Cahn spoke with Jim Bakker about.
"That's what Jesus Messiah speaks of will happen again," Cahn says before getting into the history—and the links—of Israeli and biblical prophecy compared to Greek and Roman mythology.
It boils down to what Cahn calls the Dark Angel: The spirit that inhabited Baal was the same one that drove the Greeks to create Zeus and the Romans to worship Jupiter—both gods of war that intended to destroy Israel.
Sure, these stories have historical insight, but what does the mystery of the Dark Angel mean for the future of today's Israel?
Watch the video to find out.

Israel Initiates Christian Mission - "Covenant Journey"

Israel Initiates Christian Mission - "Covenant Journey"

Monday, May 11, 2015 |  David Lazarus   ISRAEL TODAY
Israel has initiated a mission intended to raise up a generation of Christian leaders who will support Israel. “It is critical to bring the next generation of leaders in the Christian community to Israel,” declared Israeli Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer at the annual Christian Solidarity Event at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC.
The new program, titled “Covenant Journey,” is modeled in part after the highly successful Birthright project that has brought over 500,000 young Jewish Americans to Israel. Already this summer the Covenant Journey program is bringing hundreds of Christians student leaders to Israel. Organizers are now in the planning stages to bring thousands more young Christians over the next few years in order to begin building bridges with Israel and Israelis.
“There's one thing better than standing with Israel, and that's standing in Israel. If they walk in the places where the patriarchs and the prophets and the kings and that young Rabbi from the Galilee walked, then they will stand with Israel here and they will strengthen their Christian identity,” said Dermer.
Students will be able to join the Covenant Journey for only $500 thanks to subsidization by Christian donors, including Museum of the Bible and the Philos Project.
“Visiting the Holy Land—where Abraham journeyed and gave birth to the nation of Israel, David conquered Goliath, and the Prophets and Apostles wrote and lived—and walking where Jesus gave his ministry, is without question, a life-changing experience. As young adults experience Israel firsthand, their faith is strengthened, their knowledge of the Bible is increased and their understanding of the connection between the Bible and the Land of Israel is put on solid ground. It will create a foundational platform from which they can become goodwill ambassadors for Israel and the Jewish people, and the Covenant Journey participants will never be the same,” said Steve Green, chairman of the board for Museum of the Bible and a keynote speaker at the Israeli Embassy event.
The other keynote speaker, Paul Singer, added that "by enabling Christian students to visit the land of Israel and see it firsthand, Covenant Journey is raising up a generation that will not only be stronger in their faith, but will also be introduced to the real-life people who live there. The students will discover ancient Israel and modern Israel at the same time. And for me, as Jew, that’s huge. At this point, Covenant Journey has become part of my journey, and I’m proud to say that I support everything that it stands for. I truly believe that Jews, Christians and all of Western civilization will be reaping the fruit of this project for years to come."
Covenant Journey will be choosing students based on their recognized Christian leadership roles on campus as well as their desire to become advocates for Israel. Students participating in the 11-day mission will learn about biblical history and experience the reality of everyday life in modern-day Israel. Participants will then be able to serve as ambassadors of goodwill for Israel by sharing what they have experienced and learned in Israel on their campuses, in churches and in their future leadership roles.
