Pat Robertson, Stephen Strang Unpack Why Trump Followers Are So Excited Right Now

Pat Robertson interviewing me on "The 700 Club" about "Trump Aftershock" (YouTube/CBN News)
I'm proud to announce that my latest book, Trump Aftershock, releases today. In it, I detail Trump's accomplishments since being elected and, as a result, what God is doing in our nation in this hour. You can find the book at trumpaftershock.com or anywhere books are sold.

CBN founder Pat Robertson interviewed me on The 700 Club on Monday, Nov. 5, about Trump Aftershock. One thing Robertson pointed out was that I don't simply share my opinion in this book; I report the facts and back it up with pages of research. Trump Aftershockcombines my journalistic training and my Christian worldview to give readers what I hope is an honest, God-centered look at all Trump has done since he was elected president.

Interestingly enough, one of the things I admire most about Trump is what most people hate: He's a disrupter. Since becoming president, he has exposed and uprooted much of the so-called deep state. After all, he promised during his campaign to drain the swamp, and I think he's doing just that. For example, if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency, we would never have found out about Lisa Page and Peter Strzok's secret text messages. Clinton's administration would have covered the situation up, and Page and Strzok probably would have been promoted. Trump is cleaning house as no one else has because he doesn't care if people don't like him. Most other politicians, on the other hand, just want to keep everyone happy.

As I point out to Robertson, though, Trump's lack of concern for others' opinions of him has provoked a firestorm of opposition. This opposition includes radical leftist billionaires such as George Soros, Warren Buffett and Tom Steyer. These wealthy people have put millions of dollars toward hindering Trump's agenda. And that money isn't just going to campaigns; they're setting up organizations that give money to antifa and other leftist groups. There's even evidence that the liberal protests we're seeing on the news are funded by the left—even to the point of paying protesters!

But even billionaire radicals can't stop the enthusiasm that follows Trump. Just a few weeks ago, he and Cruz joined forces at a rally, which sold out because so many people wanted to come. And this doesn't just happen in a handful of places; it's everywhere Trump goes. He packed out a stadium of about 6,000 in a small Nevada town, whereas Joe Biden was rallying across the state and got fewer than 200 people.

This enthusiasm, of course, isn't widely reported, but it reveals a level of excitement welling up in the American people. I can't help but think this is because ... read more

Walk With Me - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Walk With Me
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, " Where are you?" (Genesis 3:8-10, NASU)

During a weekend leadership gathering of staff and leaders of volunteer groups, held in the first week of November 2018, a particular time of worship was especially “sweet”, as we used to say in the 70’s. With an acoustic guitar, acoustic bass and a conga drum, the 51 participants sang their hearts out (not literally of course) as the music flowed. It was one of those times of worship when you just want to sit and soak in His presence. Ever experience that? I surely hope so.

I have come to know when the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) moves upon me to prophesy. Even after 40 or more years of sharing prophetic word and songs, I still get that feeling in my chest and stomach, prompting me to step out in faith and start speaking, or singing. Usually, I only get a word. Sometimes just a picture in my mind that I interpret at least part of its meaning.

On this particular moment, I apprehended His presence, nudging me on, wanting me to step out in faith and sing a prophetic “song of the Lord” as I like to call it. When I did, He spoke very tenderly and lovingly. Personally, I thought it was very special, as He shared His immense heart with the group.

These are the words that I can remember from that day of the song.

“Come walk with Me in My garden. Come, walk with Me in My garden. My heart is for you to know Me in a deeper way, to experience My presence of peace, love and compassion that I have for you and those you touch. Come, walk with Me in My garden. Walk with Me.” (I repeated it once or twice.)

Very simple. Very sweet. But very profound, with words sung from the Father that truly touched a spot in the hearts of those gathered.

After the song, the room became silent, as each one treasured the moment He was having with us. I could sense a deep appreciation around me. A few came to me later and shared how the song had impacted them personally.

Our God, the only true Living One of Israel and the nations, draws us to Himself in many ways. He longs to fellowship with us, even as one passionately wants to be close to their loved one, to speak personally to our spirit and soul. He waits for those moments when we give ourselves to be with Him, in the quiet times we set aside each day. He wants us to walk in His garden, with Him.

Adam walked with God the Father daily after his being created on the sixth day. I “can only imagine” what that had felt like, and yet I believe we ourselves can have the same experience today. When the Father went looking for him after sin had been committed, Adam, along with his soulmate wife Eve, had already hid. Ashamed. Afraid. Knowing that the communication with the Lord had been broken due to their disobedient action.

Restoration of fellowship with the Father only then came possible after His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, chose to sacrifice Himself on the cross, to cleanse and redeem us from sin. We had been separated from Him, beginning in that garden. Now that broken relationship that had separated us from the heavenly family has been restored. After receiving His forgiveness and mercy, each of us can fellowship once again with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Now is the time to give the Father the opportunity to walk closely together again. He looks forward to those “coffee times” when we give Him time in the morning, noon or evening that is His time with us, to have quiet fellowship together.

I encourage you to walk in His garden. That would truly touch His heart, and I know He will certainly touch yours.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

FIRST ETHIOPIAN FAMILY TO RELOCATE TO ISRAEL SINCE 2017

Who: Mother, siblings and nephew of Sintayehu Shaparou
What: The family will arrive in Israel from Ethiopia | Greeting by advocates, volunteers | Sintayehu will attend
When: Tuesday, Nov. 6 | Flight lands at 8 p.m. - allow 30 minutes to 1 hour for the family to clear customs
Where: Ben-Gurion International Airport, arrival hall

November 4, 2018 ---------- The family of Sintayehu Shaparou, the Ethiopian who competed in Israel’s April 2018 Chidon HaTanach contest, will arrive in Israel on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. The family will be greeted by their son and several volunteers and advocates. This is the first Ethiopian family to arrive in Israel and become residents since 2017.

Family members include: mother Alem Wondie; siblings Bezabeh Mulugeta, Mesekerem Tadesse and Zemna Tadesse; and nephew Dawit Ayelign. They are being granted residency status after months of lobbying the government. The family’s flights and initial expenses are being paid for by The Heart of Israel, which raised money to support the cause mainly from Christian Zionists.

“It is gratifying to see this day come - the day that Sintayehu’s family will arrive in Israel - after all of our efforts to bring them home,” said A.Y. Katsof, director of The Heart of Israel, thanking his donors from around the world for their support in ensuring the last 8,000 Jews of Ethiopia are able to move to Israel. “I hope that this is only the first of many Ethiopians we see arrive in the holy land.”

The family will be relocated to Kibbutz Kiryat Menachem.

Katsof noted the significance of the event happening one day before the Sigd, the major holiday of the Ethiopian community in Israel. The Sigd marks the return to Zion and the longing for Jerusalem and brings together the Ethiopian community for reckoning and soul-searching. And event will take place on Wednesday at the Sherover Promenade in Armon HaNatziv, Jerusalem to celebrate the Sigd. President Reuven Rivlin and Minister for Immigrant Absorption Sofa Landver will speak at the event.

But Katsof said that The Heart of Israel and its partners, including “The Struggle for Ethiopian Aliyah,” will not rest until all of the 8,000 remaining Ethiopian Jews are brought to Israel.

Last month, the cabinet approved the immigration of 1,000 Ethiopian Falash Mura to Israel. The Falash Mura are Ethiopian Jews whose ancestors practiced Christianity, often under duress, generations ago. Today, the Falsh Mura are practicing Jews.

The government decided in 2015 to bring the remaining members of the Falash Mura community to Israel. The government brought a first 1,300 in 2017, has approved this next 1,000, but has yet to approve a budget for any further immigration.

The Struggle for Ethiopian Aliyah is currently disseminating a petition that will be presented to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from the Ethiopian-Israeli community during a protest marking three years since the passing of the 2015 resolution. This petition calls on him to keep his promise and bring them home.

Media are welcome to attend. Interviews will be available. Please address all questions to Maayan Hoffman at 050-718-9742 or maayan@israel365.com.

No Pat on the Back for #3? - Lynn Cowell

No Pat on the Back for #3?
Lynn Cowell, 06 Nov 05:55 AM

You’ve just completed a major project or prepared a simple dinner. At the end of all your work and effort, there was silence. No applause. No thank-you. Not even an “atta-girl.”
What are you feeling?
Honestly, when I find myself in that situation, I wish I could say I’m fine. More than fine, since I’m doing all I do for the Lord alone, right? I’d like to think I don’t need others’ recognition.
This summer I took the Enneagram test. Anyone else take it?
Well, I “discovered” I’m a 3. Any other 3’s?
They call us 3’s: The Achiever. We’re the success-oriented, pragmatic type; adaptable, excelling, driven and … gulp … image-conscious.
Can I just tell you after I took this test, I actually pulled my hoodie over my head. Image-conscious? I felt like I was reading a description of many of the things I’ve been trying for years to overcome!
Unfortunately, this “getting-past-performing” girl still gets stuck, especially at times when the thanks or compliments never come.
I am so grateful for a woman like Deborah in Judges who models what it looks like to be a woman who doesn’t have to have the pats on the back. I encourage you to read this strong woman’s story found in Judges 4:1-16. Not only was she chosen to be the only woman to fulfill not only a military role, co-leading an army of 10,000 against an army with 900 chariots, she also served as a judge over all the Israelites.
Following this major victory, Deborah’s proclams in Judges 5:2-3, “When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves — praise the LORD! Hear this, you kings! Listen, you rulers! I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will praise the LORD, the God of Israel, in song.”
After such an amazing accomplishment, I don’t hear Deborah singing her own praises. No, not here, not in the verses before nor in the verses after. In fact, not only does Deborah not shine the light on her own success, but centuries later when the New Testament book of Hebrews was written, her name is actually missing.
“And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions” (Hebrews 11:32-33, NIV).
Here in the Hall of Faith, Deborah’s co-leader is listed; meanwhile, Deborah, a very important playmaker, is left out.
If Deborah could somehow have seen this New Testament passage, how do you think she would have responded? You think she would have posted on Instagram to make sure she got some love somewhere?
I don’t think Deborah would not be like me, wondering where her appreciation and attention came from. She obeyed God and did what she was called to do.
Accolades and applause were not part of the package.
The confidence in Christ woman doesn’t need appreciation. Deborah didn’t have to have an “atta-girl” from anyone but God. She continually pointed to God, never needing to draw attention to herself.
A confident woman doesn’t crave other people’s approval; she already has God’s. When we know we have His approval, our craving for other people’s approval decreases.
I’d love to say, “That’s me!” So self-assured, I don’t need reassurance from another. I’m not quite there yet; maybe you’re not, either. But, as we continue to learn about faith from women like Deborah, we can keep moving closer to becoming secure women with Christ-like confidence.
Lord, I so want to be a woman whose whole purpose is to shine light on You. Build in me a confidence — built on You and Your approval of me — that no longer craves or needs the applause of others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

If you want some scriptures to mull over today, here is a few to copy onto phone:

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV)
Psalm 115:1, “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your loving kindness, because of Your truth.” (NASB)

Want to become more like Deborah? Grab a copy of  Make Your Move: Finding Unshakable Confidence Despite Your Fears and Failures. There’s also a companion 6-week DVD teaching available.

Let’s learn from each other:

When you have served well, made a hard choice or gone above and beyond, what’s the reaction of your heart if no one notices?
The next time you don’t receive the recognition you longed for, what steps can you take to settle the stirring in your heart?
