Men - We need the Lord Jesus leading and guiding us to be that which He has called us to be – good role models for our kids and grandkids. – Love For His People ministry

Happy Father’s Day men. We need the Lord Jesus leading and guiding us to be that which He has called us to be – good role models for our kids and grandkids. – Love For His People ministry

Steve & Laurie Martin Family (L-R) Ben, Christen, Laurie, Steve, Hannah, Josh
Greetings Dads (and families).
Our Father, Who art in heaven, has mad us fathers in order to give Him more family, as He is the Ultimate Father. With His Only Begotten Son Jesus, Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, He has always desired to fill the earth with more children to share in His love, peace, joy, and eternal family.
Over these past decades the family man has been much aligned, as many would seek to undermine, belittle, ridicule, dismiss, and even eliminate the role that men have been called to – to be mighty men of God, as husbands, fathers, and grandfathers.
We must stand for biblical principles. We must walk with godly character. We must be the examples and mentors to the next generation who so desperately need fathers in their lives – to give direction, encouragement, and a hope for their future.
Moms are great. May they continue to live fully for their kids.
Fathers need to be great. We need to exemplify the Father of All. For the God the Father’s heart is the one which can fill ours with His character, gifts, and courage.
Men, we need to be that manly man that our sons and daughters will look up to and to say with confidence and joy in their hearts, “That’s my Dad! He has cared for me, guided me, spoke truth into my life! I love my Dad!”
Happy Father’s Day, Dads. Be the man you and I are called to be, so our families can live in freedom, honesty, guidance, and the assurance of the hope found only in our eternal Father, the One above.

GEN. JERRY BOYKIN: In These Troubled Times, Where are the Men?

COMMENTARY
On May 25, 2020, I watched the beginning of a great American tragedy. As the nation began to open up after the long COVID-19 lock-down a horrifying incident involving a rogue cop took the life of a 46-year-old African-American man named George Floyd. Three other officers watched and did nothing. And chaos erupted nationwide.
As I watched these events unfold, with abandoned police stations, burned-out business, frenzied rampaging, looting, vandalism, and more death, one question kept repeating itself in my mind: Where are the men?
Were they hiding behind some “cause” or misguided notion that the situation was none of their business? Were they simply going along with the crowd, with no sense of right and wrong? When did men stop providing protection, guarding defenseless victims, and taking responsibility for their communities?
I can’t help but question whether radical feminist grievances about “toxic masculinity” have caused men to stop fulfilling their God-given roles in our society. Along similar lines, as I watched that tide of angry young men shattering glass, stealing and looting, I wondered just how many of them grew up in fatherless homes.
Tragically, in today’s America, too many children are born never knowing who their father is. Others see their daddy pack up and leave while they are still young kids; they grieve for him and miss him terribly. Some fathers are in jail; others are addicted; still, others are too busy making money to be bothered with their own sons and daughters.
There are so many fatherless families and everyone is a tragedy.
As a Christian, I believe that the Bible – from Joshua to Jesus – provides a clear mandate for masculine roles and responsibilities. And thanks to my own devoted, loving father and to my military background, I’ve had exceptional opportunities both to be compliant and to command, to protect while sometimes paying the price, to be inspired and encouraged by those with whom I served.
But today too many boys have never in their lives been affirmed by men. They’ve had no man to set a proper example, to help establish values in the home, or to love and nurture them. Instead, they’re raised on the internet and by the violence of video games. If there had been more fathers who understood the importance of their role, and the power of a father’s blessing, I am convinced that could have prevented some of the tragedies we’re facing in today’s cities across America.
What could those fatherless boys have learned from a godly father about being a man?
It’s true that men and women are equal, but it is also true that they are unquestionably different. Once a young man understands that there is a uniquely God-given role for him to fulfill in his lifetime, that sacred role will likely soon become his transcendent cause.
And I believe that having a transcendent cause – including the distinct obligations and responsibilities being a man entails – will literally separate the men from the boys.
First of all, men are intended to be providers. This certainly includes financial responsibility for any others who rely on him. But it also includes the other forms of provision such as values, principles and vision, and direction. And perhaps above all else, being a provider means thinking of someone besides yourself.
Men are also meant to be instructors, mentors, and role-models to their families and their communities. A nation of “Sheep without shepherds” is another symptom of our present disorder. But real men are leaders, especially in chaotic situations. To borrow a military term, men are meant to be chaplains, offering wisdom and spiritual guidance in the home, school, office, and community.
At the same time, men are also supposed to be defenders – of course, this applies to protecting those closest to them, and those who cannot defend themselves. The Bible says, “Defend the weak and the fatherless, uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”  Psalm 82:3-4 NIV
A real man will never stand by and watch while others are victimized or abused. The “bystander effect” is a sad product of our self-centered society. Worse yet is the pretense that participating in criminal activity, theft, and violence is an act of righteous defiance. NO! It is not.
Calling in the National Guard wouldn’t be necessary if men were doing their job.  It’s time men take up their biblical mandate, which has been ordained by their creator. That is their mission, no matter what their color, nationality, station in life, upbringing, or education. And I believe that once men step up and carry out their God-given role, a new vision can be cast and brought forth, restoring a civil and prosperous America for all.

“Emotions” – Now Think On This by Steve Martin

“Emotions” – Now Think On This by Steve Martin

June 15, 2020 Love For His People in Charlotte, North Carolina USA
“Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry by departing from the Lord.” Hosea 1:2, NKJV
Have you ever read the Biblical book Hosea, considered a “small” prophet before? You know, the one short book in the Old Testament that is between the major prophets Daniel and Joel.
A quick storyline of his from Hosea the Prophet reads, “Hosea (active 750-722 B.C.) was a prophet of the kingdom of Israel. He called on Israel to repent its sins of apostasy and warned of the judgment to come from God. His writings form the first of the Old Testament books of the Minor Prophets.
Hosea was the son of Beeri and apparently belonged to the upper classes. Judging from his elegant style, he was highly cultured. Hosea married Gomer, daughter of Diblaim, who bore him two sons, the older of whom he called Yezreel, meaning “God sows.” This name may have been intended to signify the replanting of Israel back on its own soil after it had been dispersed in exile. The second son was called Lo Ami, meaning “not my people, ” to indicate God’s rejection of Israel as His people because of its faithlessness. Hosea’s daughter by Gomer was metaphorically named Lo-ruhamah, meaning “the unpitied one.” Since Gomer after her marriage became an unfaithful “wife of harlotry, ” it is possible that Lo-ruhamah and perhaps her brothers were illegitimate children. Scholars have speculated whether the prophet’s tragic marital experience was real or merely an allegory to stress the infidelity of Israel.”
In these modern days of our enlightenment and superiority of knowledge, Hosea doesn’t get a lot of acclamation or even comment in church or congregational circles. After all, he “only” spoke to the kings and the people of ancient Israel around 700 B.C., and what does that have to do with us today?
A lot.
Though I don’t consider or proclaim myself to be a biblical scholar, I have made it a consistent habit and disciple to read the Bible almost every day, believing that what it says, as the Creator of the Universe Himself told us, “Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-23, NKJV
And where does wisdom come, that we need so much today? Lord knows we do.
“For Adonai (the Lord) gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
He stores up common sense for the upright, is a shield to those whose conduct is blameless,
in order to guard the courses of justice and preserve the way of those faithful to him. Then you will understand righteousness, justice, fairness and every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, knowledge will be enjoyable for you, discretion will watch over you, and discernment will guard you.” Proverbs 2:6-11, Complete Jewish Bible
As I began to read the first chapters of Hosea, I could sense the emotions of God the Father, trying to get His people’s attention through the practical picture he gave Hosea to publicly demonstrate.
Take a wife, a harlot. Yes, take one who has given herself to any and all. Have children. Call them the names which shows what I have called My people at this time in their ways apart from Me. Demonstrate how I feel, Hosea, about the condition of My people, My country, My heart.
Continuing to read, I could sense the passion of the Lord for His people, His emotional anger expressed as they had departed from His ways, which would be the only way to have life, if only they would seek and follow after Him. You can feel His heart cry for their return to Him.
America and the nations of the world are in this same condition today. We have turned from God. We have sought our own ways. We have lifted up our knowledge, our understanding, our attempts to remove God from any and all parts of our lives so as to not be accountable to Him Who sits on the throne.
If we do not cry out in our hearts, our souls, our minds and emotions for the Living God of Israel, the One Who alone can save, we are among those who are to be most pitied.
And yet if we repent, He will heal our land, which is a verse most used these days but which we must know and do.
“God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, “I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health.” 2 Chronicles 7:12-15, THE MESSAGE
Only God, the One Who created us, Who alone has the answers, can save America and all nations who would turn to Him. As my good friend Mordechai continually tells me, we must repent. We must turn from our wicked ways, which we as a nation have followed, obvious to any who have eyes to see. We must acknowledge and know that Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, must be lifted up in our individual lives, our homes, our places of worship, our cities, our country.
Lord help us to do just that.
Now think on this.

As many of you Elijah Listers have noticed, in the last few years, we’ve done quite a few “DECODERS” segments on both THE ELIJAH LIST and on ELIJAH STREAMS TV. We are trying to encourage and exhort both with prophetic words and with after-the-fact DECODING of the same prophetic words. Sometimes, our DECODERS segment is to show you how clearly a word came true for all to see. Others, like this one, are about helping you see when it’s not always as obvious.

Read this now, as one of my favorite prophetic voices, Johnny Enlow, talks about what happened concerning Passover and Pentecost.

Passover, April 30, Pentecost: Did We Miss Something?” Johnny Enlow, Nashville, TN

A question so many of you have had is regarding some heavily prophesied dates that have come and gone. Did we miss something?

Passover was prophesied by many, including myself, as being the most significant since Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb on the Cross. April 30 was prophesied as a date the coronavirus would be shattered. There were several children that had supernatural revelation from God regarding that day. Then Pentecost, occurring the last weekend of May, was also prophesied by me and others as being the most significant since Acts 2.

Pentecost Sunday was then the day the riots broke out and the George Floyd matters took over everyone’s attention.

This has led many to wonder, Did we get these dates and events wrong? Did something happen more than we perceived? Were the prophets and the revelatory children just all deceived or misled by their own desires?

The short answer to “Were we deceived?” is NOT AT ALL!  Let me explain.

Passover and Pentecost Are Happening All Year

Though Passover and Pentecost had dates attached to them that coincide with the Hebrew calendar, here in 2020, they are ongoing realities. In essence, 2020, as a year, is about a lengthy Passover and a lengthy Pentecost. There was something big that happened on the exact dates of both, but since the Passover rescue operation is worldwide, it is still ongoing and in different sequences, depending on where. Likewise, the Pentecost outpouring did take place on the Pentecost dates—but the outpourings continue to show up in waves.

I personally experienced a Pentecost infilling and empowering, as did thousands who were with us on a Facebook LIVE on May 29. Watch that video and you, too, might experience it (James Goll, Rita Springer, Elizabeth, Justice, and Grace were with me for it).

Being rescued and being empowered by the Holy Spirit are operations from Heaven for all of 2020. It is not over if you somehow believe you missed it.

Our nation and the world are in the midst of a major Passover rescue operation from Heaven. Much did happen during Passover week itself, but will be revealed later.

April 30? Coronavirus Gone?

This brings us to the April 30 date. A 7-year-old boy had nightly, vivid dreams where God told him of the coronavirus, “This will end on April 30th.”

Several other children had similar dreams, visions, or experiences. Some I did not report on. It was too much and too many to ignore; and furthermore, it tied in with a Passover “rescue operation” that several of us saw.

Why is COVID-19 still in the news then? As many of you know, prophetic fulfillment often looks different than imagined. John the Baptist—who was the very one who prophesied Jesus as the Messiah in his forerunner-preaching throughout Judea—when imprisoned by Herod, sent word to Jesus: “Are You the Christ or are we waiting for another?”

Can you imagine second-guessing that level of prophetic fulfillment? When it seemed time was up on potential, prophetic fulfillment, Abraham and Sarah both doubted God’s personal word to Abraham that he would be father of descendants “as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore” (see Genesis 22:17). Yet, the word spoken came back around and was greatly fulfilled.

I could go on and on with these examples. The point is that prophetic fulfillment often lacks the “zinger” effect we desire, but often looking back, we note how amazing it was.

Jesus and His disciples didn’t plan a Passover date for His crucifixion so that the whole world moving forward would be blessed by the marvel of the timing. It just happened on Passover; and even while it was happening it didn’t seem so marvelous. It was the same with Pentecost. The disciples didn’t plan to wait in Jerusalem for an alignment of the Hebrew calendar and their waiting for the Holy Spirit. It seemed delayed and random, and a few hundred left the waiting room because of it. Then, suddenly, a sound like a mighty rushing wind happened, and then as observers looked back, it became amazing to realize it had happened in coordination with the Hebrew calendar.

All that to say, some demonic empowerment of the COVID-19/coronavirus was broken off on April 30.

The fear and projection of it ended for those aware of the truth surrounding it. A virus with a death rate in line with the seasonal flu was revealed to us at that time—confirmed by even the CDC; a virus that was symptomless for perhaps 80% of recipients, marginal for another 18%, severe for 2% (specifically if they were older and otherwise health compromised). But then even of those, a high percentage could be cured, if the known HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine), zinc and AZ (Azithromycin) combo were used.

Truly, the coronavirus should be done as a newsworthy story, but surreptitious elements keep it around for other political purposes. There are also conflicting reports from the WHO if masks and social distancing really change anything—and yet that practice keeps going on around the world.

Truly, just as humans have not come into alignment with the Cross—where Jesus paid the price for everything to be dealt with—and so it LOOKS like another price has to be paid; so it is the same today. When Jesus said, “It is finished,” it was. There would be no more sacrifice to come. So we have a virus that “it is finished” should be applied to, yet in various, sinister and mind-boggling ways it is given life and so continues to needlessly quarantine, bring fear, destroy economies, and bring death.

The ridiculousness of it reminds me of the (non-recommended!) 1989 movie, “Weekend at Bernie’s,” where Bernie is murdered, but two young men pretend he is still alive in order to be able to fulfill their plans. In the movie, Bernie is hilariously dragged about and posed with in order to deceive. In real life, it is not so hilarious.

COVID-19 should be a dead story, not because it isn’t a health consideration, but because it is much less a health consideration than many, many other things not making the news.

Conclusion: 2 Chronicles 20:20My simple conclusion is this: “Believe his prophets and you will prosper.” That is the 2 Chronicles 20:20 word of the year for 2020. As in that passage, there are multiple armies surrounding us and disorienting us. Believe what God is saying through His prophets and move forward in praising God for victory. This historic, stormy, and confusing year of 2020 will produce the big bang reward it was prophesied to do. The best is yet to come.
