What is Israel's greatest achievement in the nearly two-year campaign, especially against Iran? By Hannanel Aviv

What is Israel's greatest achievement in the nearly two-year campaign,
especially against Iran? By Hannanel Aviv

Many in Israel consider the military achievements – primarily the attacks on Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile program, and perhaps the subsequent diplomatic successes – as the greatest accomplishments Israel has achieved so far in the campaign. However, there is one achievement that has remained underlined, not in the form of a decisive victory, but rather in the form of weakening and dismantling the unity within the Muslim nation. Allow me to explain.

Hamas, which formed part of the Shiite axis established by the Iranian regime, launched an uncoordinated attack on Israel, hoping that after their significant success, other Iranian proxy would join them and hit Israel hard within hours. This would include an invasion by Hezbollah terrorists, Shiite militia and pro-Iranian troops in Iraq and Syria, the Houthis in Yemen, backed by missiles and suicide drones, from all powers - led by Hezbollam - and, of course, Iran itself, launching hundreds of ballistic missiles and suicide Drones to paralyze Israel. This would allow the other forces to conquer large parts of Israeli territory, expecting a unification of forces in the Islamic and Arab world to ultimately destroy Israel. That didn't happen.

Hezbollah stepped into a support role only a day later and launched rockets and suicide drones daily as support, not as a large-scale war. Same gold for the Houthis and militias, who offered support instead of waging war. Iran did not intervene or provide military assistance from its territory until the war hit its personnel directly. Thus, the unity of the battle was lost from the very first phase, allowing Israel time to attack terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, later attack Hezbollah and the Houthis, and finally Iran itself.

Consequently, the alliance Iran had created by a strangling on Israel, along with a coalition of interests with sunni groups such as Hamas, was shattered. This axe collapsed and failed to execute her plan to destroy Israel. Until October 6, there was a united ash – albeit an almost impossible alliance of Sunniites and Shiites – but the purpose was clear and it worked toward that moment of truth.

Consequently, Israel issued a crushing blow to Hezbollah and Iran did not interfere or provide military support from its territory, with the exception of one retaliatory strike following the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah, which also killed an Iranian general. Iran then lost its land bridge for transferring weapons from Iran directly to Hezbollah in Lebanon via the Assad regime, which collapsed after Iran and its powers failed to provide military support on the ground.

This is how another important link in the Shiite axis broke out and Iran lost more of its power, creating air capability to approach Iran and prepare for widespread attacks without air defense obstacles or the involvement of its proxy against Israel.

The axe failed to achieve its goal to destroy Israel. All of his handlers were weakened and are now working on their own survival. After the campaign against Iran, Iran is now facing its own problems. As a result of this, there is no longer an Islamic unity under the Shiite axis. Essentially, the greatest existential threat to Israel is not the nuclear threat, but rather a united Muslim front with the sole aim of destroying the state of Israel.

The idea of an Islamic caliphate is also a unifying concept, which acts as a magnet for the Muslim nation worldwide to unite under this caliphate and its purpose. This idea has several advocates in the Muslim nation, and as a result of the campaign, another advocate emerged in the form of al-Julani, the President of Syria. In the Arab world there has been no unity under pan-Arabism for many years. Now, after the significant achievements in the campaign against the Shiite axis, there is no pan-Islamism either. The Islamic and Arab world are not united; Everyone is busy in his own bubble.

In my opinion, this is the greatest achievement Israel has achieved in this nearly two-year campaign.

Indeed, the other achievements are important and crucial, but this is a long-term achievement that dismantles the unity Iran has built over many years and instills fear in every Arab state that seeks to destroy Israel. Any state that wants to wage war without Islamic and Arab unity significantly increases its chances of failure and only faces Israel without such unity. Every state is now asking itself, "Who will be on my side?" "after it has been proven that Iran was not behind Assad, Hezbollah, Hamas or the Shiite militias in Iraq.

"A nation this small..." by Alister Heath, British journalist for the Daily Telegraph

Brilliant!

There’s something about Israel that makes people uncomfortable, and it’s not what they say it is.

They’ll point to politics, settlements, borders, and wars. But scratch beneath the outrage, and you’ll find something deeper. A discomfort not with what Israel does, but with what Israel is.

A nation this small should not be this strong. Period.

Israel has no oil. No special natural resources. A population barely the size of a mid-sized American city. They are surrounded by enemies. Hated in the United Nations. Targeted by terror. Condemned by celebrities. Boycotted, slandered, and attacked.

And still, they thrive like there’s no tomorrow.

In military. In medicine. In security. In technology. In agriculture. In intelligence. In morality. In sheer, unbreakable will.

They turn desert into farmland.

They make water from air.

They intercept rockets in mid-air.

They rescue hostages under the nose of the world’s worst regimes.

They survive wars that were supposed to wipe them out, and win.

The world watches this and can’t make sense of it.

So they do what people do when they witness strength they can’t understand.

They assume it must be cheating.

It must be American aid.

It must be foreign lobbying.

It must be oppression.

It must be theft.

It must be some dark trick that gave the Jews this kind of power.

It must be blackmail.

Because heaven forbid it’s something else.

Heaven forbid it’s real.

Heaven forbid it’s earned.

Or worse, destined.

The Jewish people were supposed to disappear a long, long time ago. That’s how the story of exiled, enslaved, hated minorities is supposed to end. But the Jews didn’t disappear. They actually came home, rebuilt their land, revived their language, and brought their dead back to life — in memory, in identity, and in strength.

That’s not normal.

It’s not political.

It’s biblical.

There’s no cheat code that explains how a group of people return to their homeland after 2,000 years.

There is no rational path from gas chambers to global influence.

And there is no historical precedent for surviving the Babylonians, the Romans, the Crusaders, the Inquisition, the pogroms, and the Holocaust, and still showing up to work on Monday in Tel Aviv.

Israel doesn’t make sense.

Unless you believe in something beyond the math.

This is what drives the world crazy. Because if Israel is real, if this improbable, ancient, hated nation is somehow still chosen, protected, and thriving, then maybe God isn’t a myth after all.

Maybe He’s still in the story.

Maybe history isn’t random.

Maybe evil doesn’t get the last word.

Maybe the Jews are not just a people… but a testimony.

That’s what they can’t stand.

Because once you admit that Israel’s survival isn’t just impressive, but divine, everything changes. Your moral compass has to reset. Your assumptions about history, power, and justice collapse. You realize you’re not watching the end of an empire. You’re witnessing the beginning of something eternal.

So they deny it.

They smear it.

And rage against it.

Because it’s easier to call a miracle “cheating” than to face the possibility that God keeps His promises.

And He’s keeping them still.
