"Hezekiah Became King" ✡ Sensational Discovery of Biblical King in Jerusalem - ISRAEL365

Hezekiah became king at the age of twenty-five years, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem... He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the House of the Lord and reinforced them.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Hezekiah was the most righteous of all the kings of Judea. His name is composed of the word "kha-zak" - strong - and God's name "ya" meaning that he strengthened the people's devotion to God. In a recent sensational discovery, King Hezekiah's royal clay seal was unearthed at the foot of the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount, bearing the inscription: “Hezekiah (son) Ahaz King of Judea.” In a time when the Jewish claim to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount is attacked as never before, the discovery verifies the biblical account of a great Jewish king, who strengthened, purified and "opened the doors" of the Holy Temple. May we merit to once again see the opening of the Temple Mount to a Jewish presence, where all will be able to worship the One True God in Jerusalem.

LOVE FOR HIS PEOPLE FEATURED BOOK

Why Israel? Why not?

This little booklet consists of messages previously written in my books, which of themselves contain many various themes. I wanted to devote one book to just Israel and the Jewish people, and so this small booklet was compiled.

As you read the following, consider the truth contained in Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, which spell out the commitment of God the Father to choose a people who will be a light to the nations. He chose the Jews, and gave them the Promised Land of Israel.

It does not matter what other national governments try to say, do, or accomplish apart from the plans and purposes of the Lord. They will fail. His Word is true. It is eternal. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and thus His commitment in keeping His promises made to the Jewish people will be fulfilled. I hope you stand with them in these last days.

"Making the Climb – to the Mountain of the Lord" Julie Meyer, Santa Maria, CA - The Elijah List

Dream: The Mountain of the Lord
Psalm 24:3-4 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His Holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart...
I had a dream, and it was as if I was "within" Psalm 24 walking up the Mountain of the Lord.
I had to set my heart for the journey. It was a steep and narrow path, though it was a path well-trodden, and I pondered the patriarchs of old who had walked this same path. (Photo via Julie Meyer)
In the dream, I was carrying baggage with me. I realized I would never make it to the top of the Mountain carrying it, so I took it off and laid it aside.
There were many people on this path walking alongside me, however I noticed that several on this same trek up the Mountain didn't want to remove their baggage. The higher they began to climb, the heavier the baggage became; still they held on tight, not wanting to set any of it down, not even the smallest of bags. They became so pre-occupied with what they were carrying, they were unable to ascend. So, tightly clinging onto their baggage, they simply stopped, turned around, and started walking back down the Mountain.
There was Only One Path to the top. I began to notice whispers and grumbling because the Mountain was real, the path was narrow, and it was steep. It required endurance and diligence to stay steady and to stay focused on the small narrow path.
I came upon an elderly man with a long wooden rod in his right hand. He had a long, white beard and long, wild, white hair that fell down over his shoulders. His face was set looking onward and upward. He was not looking to the left or the right. He was not turning around or even grumbling about the steepness of the path. He was not carrying any baggage; he was walking in one direction with a face that was set on arriving at the peak and nothing less. He looked as if he knew where he was going and how to get there, so I found my stride right with his. He had authority upon him, yet a deep, humble spirit.
Out of the corner of my eye, I began to see people looking for shortcuts or different, possibly-easier ways to reach the top. The elderly man would say to each one, "There are no shortcuts and there are no other paths. There is only one way, and it is this path. If you stay on it, it will lead you straight to the top; and to make the climb, you have to lay down all your baggage." (Photo via Pixabay)
As he spoke, his words penetrated the very core of my heart, and I kept telling myself, "Stay on the path, lay down all the baggage, and there are no shortcuts. Just keep walking, stay steady."
I happened to look up just in time to see a road sign: The Pathway of Humility. At that exact moment it was as if I was transported back in time, and I realized the man in front of me was Moses; in an instant, my eyes were open to see humility, diligence, steadiness, and zeal.
He continued up the Mountain, saying over and over, "There are no short cuts and there are no other paths. There is only one way and it is this path. If you stay on it, it will lead you straight to the top. It will also change you from the inside out. This journey will do a work of humility within. If you stay steady in the midst of the steep climb, it will produce diligence and endurance for your next season."

There Are No Shortcuts
Finally, we ascended to the very top of the magnificent Mountain. Very few men and women actually endured for the whole climb. But those who laid it all down were standing at the very top and crying out Psalm 24:7"Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in."
I realized that I was standing in a place of great authority. This is the place where we have the authority to cry out, "Lift up your heads, O you gates!"
Many people get this invitation, but few make the whole journey. For many start the climb yet want to keep their baggage and are unable to continue up the Mountain. Some people wandered off the trodden path for other adventures that looked better to the eyes but were worthless to the soul.
I saw clearly there are no shortcuts to the top of this Mountain. It is easier to stay on the path. It is easier to keep walking. This Mountain, this climb, is an invitation of the Lord to climb His Holy Mountain with clean hands and a pure heart, and all the while embracing humility which produces great authority.
Though some people start with baggage, or offenses, or unforgiveness – we all have the opportunity to lay it down. In order to continue upward, you have to lay everything down, otherwise it is impossible to make the climb, for the weight of these will make the climb too burdensome. (Photo via Pixabay)
The pathway called Humility is a steep climb, but it produces an inward life, a steadiness that you can only get if you stay on the path. No pain, no gain – but this trek is a place of great gain, living from the inside out...and if you can make it to the very peak, it's a place of new authority. Those who laid it all down and just did the journey, they began to proclaim in authority: "Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in" (Psalm 24:7).
Where are you in this climb? Is the path too steep and hard because you need to lay down some baggage? Do you find yourself looking for easier paths, easier ways to reach the peak? Maybe you have become distracted with the pleasures of this age, they might have caught your eye...
For we are all invited. We all receive the invitation to lay down our baggage, to stay on the path. We all get to be a part of this great climb up the Mountain of the Lord.
This is the season to lay it all down and to stay on the path: Lay down offenses, lay down unforgiveness, lay it all down and stay steady for the journey. You can do it...the Patriarchs of old walked this path. Jesus walked this path. Paul walked this path. Will you? (Photo by Jennifer Page "Forgiven"via elijahshopper.com)
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

LOVE FOR HIS PEOPLE FEATURED BOOK

Throughout our lives, God keeps His hand on our shoulders and nudges us on to more than what we could ever realize.

I am excited to share how He did it this with me, and am confident mine will be a story you’ll be able to relate to. As I unveil my story, think back to those times when you knew there was some¬thing more but you just couldn’t put your finger on it. You knew deep down that life wasn’t what the TV sitcoms portrayed it to be. In our souls there is the hope, the cry for more, that someday questions will be answered and promises fulfilled if we just kept plugging away at what we know to do.

In The Promise I share my 40 year journey with you, and show you that dreams do come true. Though Peter Pan isn’t real, the Lord, the One Who created us, certainly is, and He has a plan in place for each one of us. When you are done reading this story, my prayer is that you too will know more of that good plan and His purpose for you.

You Can Now Drink the Wine that King David and Jesus Drank By Ahuva Balofsky - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

You Can Now Drink the Wine that King David and Jesus Drank

“And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, making the face brighter than oil, and bread that stayeth man’s heart.” (Psalms 104:15)
If you have ever been interested in tasting the wine drunk by King David or Jesus, now may be your chance. Following a growing interest in resurrecting the ancient winemaking practices of the region, winemakers at Recanati debuted a wine called marawi, made with grapes indigenous to the region, The New York Times reported.
The Recanati marawi is a crisp white wine released by the winery in October. The grapes were procured from Palestinian farmers, and only 2,480 bottles of the 2014 marawi were produced. They are available at just 10 restaurants in Tel Aviv. However, some 4,000 bottles of the 2015 marawi are aging currently, and the company hopes to plant its own vineyard of the varietal to expand and refine the brand.
The story begins with a groundbreaking project out of Ariel University in the Samaria region of Israel, which aims to to identify – and potentially recreate – the wines mentioned in the Bible. According to Eliyashiv Drori, the Ariel oenologist leading the research, marawi (also called hamdani) and jandali grapes can be traced to a reference in the Babylonian Talmud, dating back to 220 CE.
“All our scriptures are full with wine and with grapes — before the French were even thinking about making wine, we were exporting wine,” Drori told The New York Times. “We have a very ancient identity, and for me, reconstructing this identity is very important. For me, it’s a matter of national pride.”
The goal is to develop a unique Israeli wine, one that expresses the uniqueness of the region, rather than offering variations on wines of foreign origin, such as the French chardonnay.
Winemaking has a long history in Israel. Ancient presses have been discovered dating back as far as Biblical times. The local practices were lost, however, when the production of wine was outlawed by conquering Muslims in the 7th century. The industry was only restored in the 1880s, when Baron Edmund de Rothschild arrived, bringing French grapes with him. To this day, Israeli wines, which have become quite competitive in recent years, have been made from varietals brought in from other countries.
Drori, who has a PhD in agriculture, opened a small winery in 2005, called Gvaot, near his home. He noticed a neglected vine with small, very sweet white grapes and surmised they might make a tasty wine.
In 2011, he and a team of a dozen researchers began identifying local grape varieties with DNA profiles unique from imported grapes. Since then, they have identified 120 different local varieties, of which 50 were domesticated and 20 suitable for wine.

In addition, researchers have used DNA testing and a three-dimensional scanner on burned and dried seeds found at archaeological sites, revealing 70 unique varieties. The goal is to match the ancient seeds to living grapes or, failing that, reproduce the ancient varieties using genetic engineering.
Drori’s other task is demonstrating that the grapes he’s identified were used for wine, not snacking. For example, seeds found in donkey droppings in Timna, the site of King Solomon’s copper mines, were likely from pomace, the residue left from winemaking, since fresh fruit would not have been fed to animals.
But the Recanati marawi is not the only ancient wine gaining new life. Israeli vintner Avi Feldstein plans to debut another variety, called dabouki, along with his new winery, in the next few months. And Drori himself, with graduate student Yaakov Henig, has made his own wines at the university from the grapes the team has discovered.
The new wines are not without controversy, like anything in Israel. Palestinians claim the wines are their heritage, despite the fact that wine production is banned by Islam. However, Recanati vintner Ido Lewinsohn sees things differently. He told The New York Times his product is “clean and pure of any political influence,” adding of the grapes: “These are not Israeli; they are not Palestinian. They belong to the region — this is something beautiful.”

Biblical Reasons to Stand with Israel as the World Combats Terrorism By Tsivya Fox - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Biblical Reasons to Stand with Israel as the World Combats Terrorism

“Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you.” (Genesis 26:2–6)
Western civilization is facing an onslaught of conflicting messages. On the one hand, hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees are being welcomed into countries around the world under the auspices of humanitarian aid. On the other hand, people are fearful of the spread of radical Islam and the terrorism which comes with this extremism.
Yet, Israel remains on the front page of news reports around the world. As the only democracy in the Middle East, a place where all religions are free to worship and all cultures attend its universities, Breaking Israel News sat down with David Rubin, the founder and president of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and a survivor of a miraculous terror attackto hear his views on Islam and the Biblical reasons to stand with Israel.

“I always talk about the role Israel plays in the world,” Rubin told Breaking Israel News. “Despite it being a tiny country, smaller than the size of New Jersey, it is the world leader for freedom against Islamic terror and the encroaching Islamic tsunami taking place today in Israel, the US and across all western civilizations.”
Rubin explained that the goal of Islam is to change western civilization from a Judeo-Christian way of life to one under Islamic Sharia law. “If that happens,” he continued, “freedom of press, religion, dress and speech will be done away with. Islamic Sharia law will take over which does not tolerate anything but Islam.”
Israel may be on the front lines battling terror and Islamic extremism. But, more and more countries are finding their demographic landscapes shifting dramatically. “Muslims are not only looking to destroy Israel,” noted Rubin. “Rather, they seek the end of all of western civilization and the rest of the free world as we know it.”
According to Rubin, today, people do not understand the need to stand with Israel. Rubin, who lives in Israel’s Biblical heartland, explained the Biblical reasons and practical importance of supporting the Holy Land.
Quoting God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you [Israel], and curse those who curse you,”  Rubin shared, “As a religious person, I believe in God’s promises. When the US stood with Israel and didn’t force us to give up our land, America thrived. Since the Carter administration, presidents have pressed Israel to hand over land and the US has suffered the consequences.”
The word “Israel” is mentioned more than 2,300 times in the Bible, second only to the various names of God. As it says in Deuteronomy 11:12, Israel is “a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.”
Last Chance for 2015 Donations in Support of Shiloh
“God is clearly passionate about the land of Israel and it’s people. Shouldn’t we all be?” asked Rubin.
Today, many people around the world believe that the prophecy of Isaiah 43:6 is being fulfilled: Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth”. Millions of dispersed Jews have returned to the Holy Land and the once barren country is flourishing.
“But, terrorism has taken its toll,” noted Rubin. “It is critical for the west to defend and help those that fight terrorism. I believe that God placed Israel in the Middle East surrounded by Arab countries so that we can be a light unto the nations as it says in Isaiah 49:6, ‘I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.’ We have a special responsibility to lead. But, we cannot do that without support.”
Rubin points out three ways that people can stand with Israel. He stated, “First, pray for Israel’s welfare and that we should meet the challenges we face every day, as it says in Psalm 122:6, ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper who love You.’”

Second, get politically involved. Support political leaders in the free world who stand with Israel, not those who ask to withdraw from Israeli land, especially the Biblical heartland.
Thirdly, connect directly with those on the front lines. God sent Abraham specifically to this land, as it says in Genesis 12:1, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make you a great nation.’
“We, on the front lines have listened to God’s command and feel that we are holding down the borders for the ultimate redemption. But, we need help, especially when it comes to supporting children traumatized by terror,” Rubin explained to Breaking Israel News. “The Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund heals trauma and restores the lost innocence of children. This is our future so that they can grow into productive, idealistic and caring adults willing to sacrifice for the Holy Land.”
Rubin ended by noting that there is a Jewish tradition that after a person passes on to the next world they receive a review of their life, “similar to the self-reflection that people do as they approach the end of the calendar year.”
“We learn from Jewish sources that when a person dies and comes before his Creator, he is asked, ‘Have I stood with God and been good to my family? Have I stood up for my country, God’s chosen people, the people of Israel and the Land of Israel?’ Don’t wait until that point. Stand and support Israel today.”
