Rodriguez, Graham Laud President's Nomination of Kavanaugh for Supreme Court

SHAWN A. AKERS  CHARISMA NEWS
Faith leaders across the country—including Rev. Franklin Graham and Rev. Dr. Samuel Rodriguez—praised President Donald Trump's nomination Monday night of Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the next justice to the United States Supreme Court.
Trump's announcement, made to a nationwide television audience, met with a standing ovation from the crowd gathered in the East Wing of the White House. If confirmed, Kavanaugh will replace Justice Anthony Kennedy, who announced his retirement two weeks ago.
Kavanaugh stood among four finalists for the nomination. The others were Raymond Kethledge, Amy Coney Barrett—a charismatic Catholic—and Thomas Hardiman. The choice of Kavanaugh, if confirmed, could shape the judicial landscape of this country for decades to come.
On Facebook, Graham lauded Trump for "keeping" his word to nominate a conservative justice to the high court.
"He promised the American people that if he had the opportunity, he would nominate conservative justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, and he's done just that," Graham said. "CNN said it was the "Supreme Court pick for the ages." Congratulations to Judge Brett Kavanaugh on this monumentally important nomination!
"Those on the progressive, socialist left are, of course, already enraged. Another conservative justice threatens their agendas and the direction they were trying to push this country. They are rallying their forces and had begun protesting even before the announcement was made! We need to thank God for this long-awaited opportunity to change the makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court. And, we need to be faithful to pray for Judge Kavanaugh and his family during the very intense confirmation process."
Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Leadership Conference, said this in an issued statement:
I join millions of Americans in congratulating Judge Brett Kavanaugh on his nomination to the Supreme Court, a well-respected jurist widely regarded for his intellect, temperament, as well as for his dedication to the Constitution. While certainly conservative, Judge Kavanaugh is well within the mainstream of American legal thought and theory.

As our duly elected president, the selection of Justice Kennedy's replacement is President Trump's decision, and his alone, as mandated by the Constitution. I therefore urge the Senate to not unnecessarily delay or obstruct, but as polling demonstrates the majority of Americans want, to move ahead with a timely and honest confirmation process. I pray for our country in this process, that instead of yet another vitriolic and divisive political battle, the confirmation process would instead be a reaffirmation of the strength of our democracy and its institutions.
Other faith leaders chimed in their approval about Kavanaugh's nomination:
Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel for American Center for Law & Justice: "The nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to fill the vacancy created with the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy is a superb choice who is certain to serve this nation well. Judge Kavanaugh is a brilliant jurist who embraces the philosophy of our founders—an unwavering commitment to the rule of law and the Constitution. We expect the Senate to exercise its constitutional duty to provide "advice and consent" without delay. While there [are] certain to be biased and vitriolic political attacks directed at this nominee, we believe Judge Kavanaugh's character, experience and judicial temperament will be well received by the American people. We are confident that the Senate will confirm Judge Kavanaugh, and we look forward to Judge Kavanaugh being seated in time for the start of the Supreme Court's new term in October."
Tony Perkins, President, Family Research Council: "For a second time, President Trump has followed through on his promise to select a nominee from the list he presented during the campaign. President Trump promised a constitutionalist—someone who will call balls and strikes according to the Constitution. We trust the president that Judge Kavanaugh will fit this mold as a justice. Judge Kavanaugh has a long and praiseworthy history of judging as an originalist, and we look forward to having a justice with his philosophical approach on the Court.
"From the day Justice Kennedy retired, the left has sought to make this vacancy all about abortion—even though many other significant issues are at stake including religious freedom and free speech. Under the Obama administration, we saw a growing assault on religious freedom and the courts became a battleground for secularists seeking to remove faith from the public square. Judge Kavanaugh resisted this trend in at least two instances—an HHS contraceptive mandate case and in an opinion supporting inauguration prayers. We are committed to working with President Trump and senators to help move the grassroots to gain the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh.
Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman: "President Trump's nominee of Brett Kavanaugh for the critical vacancy on the Supreme Court could shape America's legal landscape for decades. Judge Kavanaugh has a distinguished legal career and is committed to interpreting the text and original meaning of the Constitution and statutes. Judges must be bound to the text and original meaning of the law. This simple judicial constraint will prevent the Supreme Court and any court from bending the law to support personal ideologies. The Supreme Court needs to remove itself from political decision-making and personal preferences."
Jentezen Franklin, Senior Pastor of Free Chapel: "The president has nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the newest associate justice to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, and I'm thrilled with his choice. Judge Kavanaugh has proven his commitment to faithfully interpreting the law as it's originally written, respecting every American's right to life and liberty. The Lord rules the nations with truth and justice, and it gives me great comfort to find men and women like Judge Kavanaugh who make every effort to do the same. I urge the Senate to confirm him without delay."

Imagine This: MercyMe Hit Now an Official State Inspirational Song - SHAWN A. AKERS/CHARISMA NEWS

MercyMe Lead Singer Bart Millard (MercyMe Facebook page)

Imagine This: MercyMe Hit Now an Official State Inspirational Song

"I Can Only Imagine" is not only a multi-platinum Christian song and a mainstream movie. Now it's been recognized as an official state inspirational song.
Thursday, Gov. Mary Fallin signed HB 3473 into law, declaring the words of MercyMe's hit as the official inspirational song for the state of Oklahoma. The bill passed unanimously through the state's House and Senate.
Bart Millard, MercyMe's lead singer, wrote "I Can Only Imagine." The band was formed in Oklahoma City. The crossover hit song has sold millions of copies. The song was first released as a track on the band's 1999 album The Worship Project.
The movie, released on March 16, 2018, has become the No. 3 all-time grossing Hollywood biopic film, earning more than $76.5 million to date, Tulsaworld.com reported.
"When I saw the movie, I was moved by the powerful message of hope and forgiveness," Oklahoma State Rep. Randy McDaniel said in a news release. "Seeing the film inspired me to take action to give this extraordinary song official state recognition and a permanent home in Oklahoma's musical landscape. .. It is truly uplifting to see everyone come together in support of this special honor."
Tulsaworld.com reported that the signed legislation will be presented to MercyMe in front of a Frontier City concert audience on Saturday, June 9.
The Oklahoma Film and Music Office shared this in a news release:
"After sowing roots in Oklahoma in the 1990s, MercyMe frontman Bart Millard wrote the hit single 'I Can Only Imagine,' drawing inspiration from his own life and relationships. The song gained mainstream recognition in 2003 and has since remained the best-selling Christian song of all time.
"The inspiring true story behind the crossover hit later became the concept for the film, allowing Oklahoma to serve as the primary location for the production.
"Representative John Paul Jordan, the House author of the bill, added, 'This song has its roots in Oklahoma and in the midst of these troubling times, what better time to focus on a song so full of hope? It represents our faith, our hope and where our peace can be found.'
"The film utilized the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film and Music Office and created more than 340 local jobs throughout the production's nearly 270-day stint in Oklahoma, which included pre-production, production and post-production."

Bama Player Says Speaking In Tongues Helped Him Win the Game

SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS
Minutes after throwing the game-winning touchdown pass in Monday night's College Football Playoff National Championship game in Atlanta, Alabama Tua Tagovailoa wasn't hesitant to give God the credit.
"I was praying," Tagovailoa says. "I was speaking in tongues. It kept me calm."
He continued: "I would say my poise comes from my faith. I just pray for peace."
Not an uncommon occurrence for some athletes, but Tagovailoa's thankful words especially caught the attention of Evangelist Franklin Graham, who praised the 18-year-old freshman for his boldness on ESPN's national telecast. ESPN isn't exactly kingdom friendly, with a host of liberal broadcasters on its roster.
"In case you missed it, freshman Alabama Football quarterback Tua Tagovailoa used his moment in the spotlight to testify to the glory of God and His Son Jesus Christ after last night's #NationalChampionship game," Graham posted on Facebook Tuesday morning. "He told the world, 'First and foremost, I'd like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ ... All glory goes to God. I can't describe what He has done for me and my family. Who would've ever thought I would have been here at this moment.'
"It's great to see a young athlete like this use his platform to acknowledge what God has done in his life in front of millions of people. That's a win-win. Tremendous job Tua!"
Tagovailoa, a backup quarterback behind sophomore Jalen Hurts, took over for a struggling Hurts at the beginning of the second half with Alabama trailing Georgia 13-0. Tagovailoa completed 14 of 24 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns in the second half, including the game-winning 41-yard touchdown pass in overtime to another freshman, DeVonta Smith.
During his first post-game interview—in which there were many—Tagovailoa thanked God three times. His boldness for Christ blew up Tagovailoa's Twitter page, including tweets these from many admiring fans:
  • "And He gives God glory—more than once in the same interview. Love it!!!! Erica Fields @ohsohappy74
  • "That's what I'm talking about Tua. Give God all the praise." Kris Story @kstorey40
  • "No Bama Fan but now a #Tua Fan! Thanks Jesus First...Then his mates...Then Gives ALL the Glory to GOD! Michale Stavrinakis @MichaelStavsSC
  • Tua putting God first. Love it! Josh Woods @_WOODSY_J
Tagovailoa's Twitter bio contains these words: "1 Corinthians 2:9 • HIM 13EFORE ME"
1 Corinthians 2:9 says: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
Tagovailoa's return next season has made Alabama the early odds-on favorite to win the 2018 national championship.

U.S. Embassy Move to Jerusalem Could 'Open the Gates of Hell' - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS

U.S. Embassy Move to Jerusalem Could 'Open the Gates of Hell'

SHAWN A. AKERS  CHARISMA NEWS
Standing With Israel
President Donald Trump's opposition for moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem isn't simply limited to Palestinians and factions within the United States government. The notion has awakened an old enemy who sees the potential move as a prelude to war, World News Daily has reported.
WND reports that Iraqi cleric Motqtada al-Sadr, instrumental in forming militia against U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq, is calling for "the formation of a special division to liberate Jerusalem were the decision to be implemented."
Sadr said Tuesday in a statement, "Transferring the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem would be a public and more-explicit-than-ever declaration of war against Islam."
Palestinians hold East Jerusalem sacred as the third holiest city in Islam. It is also viewed as the future capital of a Palestinian state.
Sadr also called for the immediate closure of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, and said in his statement that the Arab League as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the world's main pan-Islamic body, should "take a decisive stand on the issue or disband."
WND reported that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has said that if the U.S. Embassy moves, he could "revoke the PLO's recognition of Israel" and that his Fatah Party, formerly led by Yasser Arafat, would "open the gates of hell."
The U.S. Embassy in Israel has always been in Tel Aviv despite the fact that the Jerusalem Embassy Act, passed by the Senate and House by wide margins in 1995, declared "Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel," and the U.S. Embassy should be established there "no later than May 31, 1999."
Since then, WND reports, every U.S. president—Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama—has signed a waiver every six months, citing "national security concerns." The U.S. has aligned itself with the United Nations policy that does not recognize Israel's annexation of East Jerusalem after the city's capture in the Six-Day War in 1967.
Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem is completely forbidden by Israeli law. Jews may enter only to visit and only at limited times. Muslims are free to pray on the Temple Mount, while Christians and Jews may only visit the site as tourists, forbidden to sing, pray or make any kind of religious display.
Trump's Mission in Israel
Attempting to rebuild a damaged U.S. relationship with Israel that occurred under the Obama administration, Trump vowed during his presidential campaign to move the embassy to Jerusalem "very quickly" after his election. In its first week in office, the Trump administration announced it would be making the move. But, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters earlier this week that no decision had been made.
Caroline Glick, a former assistant foreign policy adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote on carolineglick.com that "there is no single step the U.S. can take that will do more to rebuild U.S. credibility as an ally than moving the embassy to Jerusalem. By taking the step that none of his predecessors would take to stand in support of the U.S.'s most embattled ally worldwide, Trump will show that America can again be trusted."
The Jerusalem Post reported this week that Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat is behind the Trump administration all the way. "Trump has proven that he is a true friend of the state of Israel and keeps his promises," Barkat said in a statement.

New Christian Film Leaves Pro-Choice Audience in Awe - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA MAGAZINE

New Christian Film Leaves Pro-Choice Audience in Awe

SHAWN A. AKERS  CHARISMA MAGAZINE
With little to no filmmaking experience, the last thing Stuart Migdon wanted to do was make a movie about the controversial subject of abortion. It's not the "feel-good" flick many people want to see on a Friday or Saturday night.
Yet Migdon and his partners knew they wanted to do something to impact American culture for Jesus. They tossed around a few other ideas and prayed diligently for direction. Ultimately, they all hearkened back to the same revelation: the abortion issue must not be dismissed.
But Migdon and his partners also realized that a film about abortion had to be made with the utmost vigilance to prevent even more division between the already volatile relationship of the pro-life and pro-choice camps. They knew the task ahead of them would be gargantuan, but critical.
Five years later—through much discouragement, consternation and some doubt—the film Voiceless emerged. The movie opens in select theaters on October 7 and, from all preliminary indications, it is making the desired impact on those who have previewed it.
"When we decided we were going to do this movie, we knew that it would be uncomfortable for us," said Migdon, the film's executive producer. "We knew it was a huge risk for us, but God opened all the doors for us to do it.
"We wanted to make a movie that would motivate Christians to engage in the culture against the sin of abortion. Many Christians, instead of being salt and light, meld themselves into the culture in which they live. They don't engage the culture; they let the culture engage them. And that's a big problem, especially with this issue."
National Right to Life estimates that, since the Supreme Court's decision of Roe v. Wade in 1973, more than 58 million unborn children were aborted through 2015. Romans322.com estimates that more than 794,000 babies have been aborted in 2016.
A Gallup poll revealed that 52 percent of women having an abortion identified themselves as a Christian. In 2015, Lifeway Research found that number to be closer to 70 percent.
"Most churches will simply avoid this subject matter," said Migdon, a Christian author and ministry leader who is the founder of Jesus Take the Wheel Ministries. "In fact, Student for Life of America did a survey and found about 94 percent of evangelical churches don't have a pro-life ministry, and members of those churches are not hearing anything about abortion from the pulpit.
"The advantage we had in making this movie is that very statistic. Evangelicals, for the most part, are pro-life. We're hoping that our film will help kick-start this ministry in every church across the nation."

Surprising Pro-Choice Reception

A recent screening at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival produced what Migdon says were surprising reactions, considering many of those in attendance were "very liberal, artsy people."
"My partner and I were very nervous about the screening. But when the movie was over, they gave us a standing ovation," Migdon said. "We were told that people were very impressed by the way we didn't vilify the pro-choice movement, the fact that it doesn't pit pro-choice vs. pro-life. Many pro-choice people have said they don't agree with us, but that it's an inspiring movie. And, many pro-life people say they are now motivated to do something about it."

The Movie

Voiceless centers around Jesse Dean, a recently discharged soldier who came from a rough upbringing. Upon marrying, his wife brought him to faith in Christ and the Holy Spirit took firm hold of him. He and his wife moved to Philadelphia to take a job as an outreach leader at an older church with a declining membership. Little did he know the church stood directly across the street from an abortion clinic.
Determined to make a difference, Dean, played by Rusty Joiner (Last Ounce of Courage; CSI Miami), begins to engage with the abortion clinic, but receives resistance from his church, the community and even his wife. He's forced to make the difficult choice of backing off or putting everything in his life on the line.
The film encourages people to stand up for what they know is right—particularly as it pertains to taking God's truths into society—and to address social issues. It addresses the spirit of retreat as it pertains to engaging the culture of apathy that has developed within the church.
"When it comes to the issue of life, silence is not an option," said Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. "We are called to be a voice for the voiceless, from the womb to the tomb, elevating and respecting the Imago Dei inside every human being. Voiceless shares a prophetic message from a time such as this."
In 2015, the Northeast Film Festival (a secular film festival), rewarded Migdon and his partners with the award for the best feature. The movie garnered several other awards, including best director (Pat Necerato), best actor (Joiner), best supporting actress (Victoria Gates), best screenplay and audience choice.
The message and the quality of the movie awed Lloyd Pulley, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge Church in New Jersey. Pulley says Calvary Chapel Old Bridge has about 20 members active with its pro-life ministry.
"I was speechless at Voiceless," Pulley said. "I've seen a lot of Christian movies that are very raw, but this one rings true. It's very real. Pastors don't want to get into a political thing, so they stay away from the abortion issue. But it's not just a side issue. What are we doing if we're not involved in people's lives, the young girls who are making these decisions.
"I saw myself in that pastor in the movie. I stepped away from the pro-life movement for a while myself because of the baggage that was involved with it. I soon realized that was a mistake. To me, this is an issue that's affected the conscience of a nation. Abortion brings initial relief, but then gives way to years of psychological pain, shame and regret. We as the church have a tremendous opportunity to help the men and women involved in this, and to help a generation not to go down that road. If we don't, it's going to continue to be a problem of cataclysmic proportions."
Pulley says his church's pro-life ministry has encouraged many women to deal openly with their past and the abortions they had been hiding. That includes his wife, who, after many years, told others what she had done.
"When she confessed that to loving people, I saw a change in her countenance," Pulley said. "It was like a huge burden had been lifted off of her. It's like Joseph, who God used to rescue his brothers. After hiding a dirty little secret for 20 years, they openly acknowledged it, and they became leaders of the nation.
"Our nation will be under judgment for the blood that has been spilled. But this could be an opportunity for a huge turn of repentance. The church needs to wake up and see what it can do. If it does, you can be sure God will move."

Personal Connection

Migdon himself can relate to the message of the movie. At 18, his girlfriend became pregnant, and many of his friends and members of his family openly encouraged them to seek an abortion.
It was never an option for him or his girlfriend.
"Even though I had no idea of how we were going to make it, I never thought about an abortion," Migdon said. "We didn't hesitate—we got married. We were poor, and I was determined to finish school. I came from a Jewish family and didn't even become a believer until years later, but God knew what he was doing. He convicted both of us. We struggled for a while but pressed on. God is so good."
Migdon hopes his story, and the message of Voiceless, will sear the conscience of the nation.
"I want people to see this movie and get inspired to stand up and do something against the sin of abortion," Migdon said. "We want every church in America to start a pro-life ministry. We've aligned ourselves with several large pro-life ministries to assist in this effort. Our motivation is to motivate Christians to see that they can make a different. It takes only one person to get uncomfortable and engage in the culture. God takes care of the rest."

UN Resolution: Akin to the Holocaust Denial? - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS

UN Resolution: Akin to the Holocaust Denial?

Is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem even Jewish? It may sound like an absurd question to some, but it's an issue the United Nations' Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization intends to settle with a vote during its 40th annual meeting in Istanbul, Turkey over the next week.
Considered by Jews as the holiest place in their religion, the Temple Mount is the site of two ancient Jewish temples built by King David. However, it is overseen today by Arabs who are looking to sever any Jewish claim to it and who desire to continue their quest to delegitimize the state of Israel.
The resolution, as reported by israelhayom.com, calls for a return to the "historic status quo" for the Temple Mount. The meeting in Turkey began Sunday and will run through July 20.
Non-Muslims are allowed to visit the site during restricted hours and under careful monitoring, but they are not allowed to pray during that time. Breakingisraelnews.com reports that "Arabs claim that Israel is attempting to change the status quo following an increase in the number of Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount. Breakingnewsisrael.com's report says, "the United Nations document repeatedly refers to Israel as the 'occupying power' and accuses it of causing damage to the site, carrying out illegal excavations and preventing the Jordanian Waqf, which has jurisdiction over the Temple Mount, from making repairs and renovations."
In April in Paris, UNESCO adopted a resolution that ignores Jewish ties to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall area in Jerusalem's Old City. The Jerusalem Postreported in April that UNESCO referred to the Temple solely as al-Aska Mosque/al-Haram al Sharif and the Western Wall as al-Buraq Plaza.
Israeli Foreign Ministry Director General Donald Gore sent a scathing letter to the head of UNESCO recently demanding it to reject the "deliberate one-sided resolution," israelhayom.com reported.
"Today, it is Israel that defends religious freedom for all of the great faiths—Judaism, Christanity and Islam—against the intolerance sweeping the Middle East region," Gore said in the letter. "(The resolution) is full of distortions and is totally disconnected from reality on the ground. We urge you to oppose this effort to distort history, that will offend the members of the Jewish and Christians faiths and undermine the credibility of UNESCO in the future."

An Open Letter to Cam Newton - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS

Cam Newton became a hit with the fans this season, but like many of us, he may need some maturing.

An Open Letter to Cam Newton

Cam Newton became a hit with the fans this season, but like many of us, he may need some maturing. (Cam Netwon Facebook page )
Note: This story is updated with new information and an apology. This is the grace I am talking about that we need to give.
Dear Cam:
During the 2015-2016 National Football League season, the whole world has become a witness to how you became a shining example of a man who thoroughly enjoys the job and talents that God has blessed him with. I believe the entire league owes you a debt of gratitude for how you made playing football look like fun instead of someone who is simply drawing a huge paycheck.
As the quarterback of the Carolina Panthers, you brought the joy of professional sports back to the city of Charlotte. Your antics—your dabs and Superman poses after you score touchdowns—may seem obnoxious and arrogant to some, but that could simply be jealousy. Your playful demeanor won over a lot of fans, including myself.
As a former resident of the city and admirer of the team—notice I didn't say fan—I thank you for what you've done to bring enthusiasm back to the Carolina Panthers. I have many friends back in Charlotte, and they're having fun with it, too.
We've watched as the Panthers had an outstanding season, winning 15 of 16 regular-season games. You cruised through the playoffs to the Super Bowl, and you were named the NFL's Most Valuable Player. You deserve every bit of the accolades you have received.
Unfortunately, when you and your teammates lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, your image took a huge hit. It's not because you lost or because of your performance during the game. It was your demeanor in the post-game press conference that disappointed and shocked many.
You sulked. For the most part, you gave one-sentence answers to reporters' questions. Frankly, you acted like a 10-year-old child who had just had their cellphone taken away—not that a 10-year-old should have a cellphone.
You didn't own up to the six times you were sacked. You didn't own up to the two fumbles that led to 14 Denver points. You ended the press conference with the phrase, "I'm done, man."
Not cool, Cam, not cool.
I can't say that I've ever been a fan of yours. As an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, there's a natural tendency to dislike you because of your affiliation with Auburn University. You made us look bad during your senior year, and you won a national championship in 2010, which makes Tide fans' stomachs turn. But then that's just football.
I actually want to apologize to you for maligning you as a person. The controversy and scandal that surrounded you blinded my eyes so much so that I announced I wouldn't root for the Panthers any more when they drafted you. It was not my place to judge you, and I'm sorry I did. I did not give you the grace that Jesus would have. That showed my own character flaw. Again, I apologize.
As it turns out, I find my spirit actually grieving for you. I never thought I would ever say that. But as a man of God, I find myself now praying for you. Since I wrote this, a reader informed me that you indeed profess Christ, and that's wonderful. I apologize if I made any assumptions about that. Now it's all a matter of maturity in your walk with Him. Sunday's post-game antics only showed a sign of immaturity in you. You were hurt and disappointed because, for the first time in life on a big stage, things didn't turn out the way you had hoped.
Cam, many people are going to call you out for your behavior on Sunday, and chances are, you don't care right now. Deion Sanders, himself a man of God, did just that on national television by saying, "You are the face of our brand right now, you can't do that. I understand the emotions of losing, but you can't do that. A Manning, a Brady ... all these guys who are a prototypical type of quarterback in our game, they're not going to do that ever. Would Drew Brees ever?"
What Sanders should have done was pulled you aside and talked to you about it in private. Or, he should have reacted like Marshall Faulk, who himself knows the pain of losing a Super Bowl. Faulk said, "I've been on that podium in that very same seat. It's tough, it's hard," said Faulk, whose Rams fell to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI. "When I look back at how I handled it, I promised to never be that person again. Cam is going to learn from this.
Cam, remember this: Through it all, God loves you and wants you to draw near to Him so you can better handle the adversity in your life. This isn't the first time it's happened, and it won't be the last. But allow Jesus to come into your heart so that you can learn to deal with your trials and tribulations. He's inviting you to do just that.
I suggest you talk with teammate Charles Tillman, whom I interviewed on my Javelin podcast recently. He's a great man of God who can help you.
I know you're disappointed about not winning the Super Bow, but that will pass. With your talent, you will be back there with another opportunity.
And as I always like to say, "there is that."

WATCH: Attempting to Divide Israel Comes With Dire Consequences - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS

WATCH: Attempting to Divide Israel Comes With Dire Consequences

Are "billion-dollar" catastrophes such as the "perfect storm," 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina related to the United States' attempts to help divide the biblical heartland into two states? Author and White House Correspondent William Koenig is convinced of it.

He also talks about France's role in turning up the heat on Israel, and what happened in that country recently.

"God rebukes this every time it happens," Koenig said.
