Turkish President Slams Israel, Tells Muslims to Swarm Temple Mount - WORLD ISRAEL NEWS

Turkish President Slams Israel, Tells Muslims to Swarm Temple Mount

In a slanderous attack on the Jewish state, Turkish President Erdogan accused Israel of racism, warned Trump against moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and called on Muslims to flood the Temple Mount.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan blasted Israel in an Istanbul speech Monday, accusing the Jewish state of racism, and warned against making any changes to the status quo at the Temple Mount.
Bemoaning an Israeli presence, he called on Muslims from around the world to flood the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
"Every day that Jerusalem is under occupation is an insult to Muslims," said Erdogan. "Visiting the Temple Mount would be the greatest support to our brothers there."
The Turkish leader slammed Israel's plan to curb the volume of the Islamic calls to prayer with the Muezzin Bill. "It is shameful that this issue is even on the agenda," he stated. "The fact that those who talk about freedom of thought even approve this measure by remaining silent is noteworthy. We will not allow the silencing of prayers from Jerusalem."
A bill seeking to regulate the often ear-splitting Muslim call to prayer, known as the Muezzin, in the wee hours of the morning has raised hackles among Muslims, who contend that the measure amounts to an assault on their freedom of religion.
Erdogan also warned the Trump administration not to move its embassy to Jerusalem. "It is wrong," he said. "Such a plan should be dropped."
Israel Responds, Calls Erdogan a Human Rights Abuser
The Israeli Foreign Ministry responded by calling Erdogan a violator of human rights. "Those who systematically violate human rights in their own country should not preach to the only true democracy in the region," said a written statement released soon after Erdogan's tirade.
"Israel consistently protects total freedom of worship for Jews, Muslims and Christians—and will continue to do so despite the baseless slander launched against it," the statement read.
Erdogan has had a checkered relationship with Israel. Ties between Israel and Turkey, which were once close, have significantly deteriorated since the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010, when pro-Hamas activists, in an effort to defy Israeli sovereignty and breach the naval blockade of Gaza, boarded a flotilla of Turkish vessels, falsely claiming to be bringing humanitarian aid and medical supplies to the Strip. IDF forces boarded the ship and were viciously assaulted with knives and other weapons. In the scuffle that followed, 10 Turkish nationals were killed and several IDF soldiers were wounded.
Despite the signing of a reconciliation pact in 2016, the relationship remains shaky.

Palestinians Turn Jerusalem Into a Tool of Terror - Noah Beck ISRAEL TODAY

Palestinians Turn Jerusalem Into a Tool of Terror

Friday, February 10, 2017 |  Noah Beck  ISRAEL TODAY
Originally written for the Investigative Project on Terrorism
Palestinian and other Arab leaders threatened violence in response to President Trump's pledge to move the U.S. embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem. While Bill Clinton and George W. Bush also promised such a move as candidates, each backed off.
The terrorist who killed four Israelis in Jerusalem Jan. 8 by mowing them over with his truck expressed agitation after hearing a sermon at a local mosque criticizing Trump's embassy relocation promise.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership reportedly instructed the mosques it controls to focus their religious sermons on the embassy relocation. Worse still, the PA promised the terrorist's widow a lifetime, $760-per-month stipend for her husband's "martyrdom for Allah."
Arab reactions to Trump's embassy plans are more heated than they were to those of candidates Bush and Clinton perhaps because of Trump's pledge to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and relocate the embassy there from Tel Aviv, not only as a candidate (including during his address at last year's AIPAC Policy Conference) but also as president-elect, issuing public reassurances on the issue. Trump even planned to visit the Temple Mount as a candidate, although the visit never materialized and – as president – he said last Thursday that it was "too early" to discuss moving the U.S. Embassy.
Nevertheless, Palestinian and Arab leaders have warned that moving the embassy could lead to unrest and violence. Influential Iraqi Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr called the idea "a declaration of war against Islam." PA President Mahmoud Abbas said he could revoke the PLO's recognition of Israel, while his Fatah party warned the move "would open the gates of hell."
Such declarations by political and religious leaders give a green light to Palestinians to react violently, as the Jerusalem terrorist truck attack shows.
Palestinian leaders, including the "more moderate" Palestinian Authority, regularly deny that Jews have any historical or religious connection to the Temple Mount.
PA Jerusalem Affairs Minister Adnan al-Husseini demanded an apology Sunday after United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said it was "completely clear that the Temple that the Romans destroyed in Jerusalem was a Jewish temple." The statement "violated all legal, diplomatic and humanitarian customs and overstepped his role as secretary general," al-Husseini said.
This is not the first time that the Palestinians, including the "more moderate" Palestinian Authority, manipulated Jerusalem into an incendiary trigger for terror.
As Palestinian Media Watch reported, Abbas led calls in 2015 for Palestinians to act violently to "defend" Muslim holy sites. He blessed "every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem" and presented violence in "defense" of holy sites and against the Jews' "filthy feet" as a religious imperative.
Indeed, the "stabbing intifidah" was launched in 2015 by false rumors that Israel was trying to change the status quo on the Temple Mount.
"Arabs are convinced that Israel is set on destroying, desecrating or 'Judaizing' Haram al-Sharif, the Jerusalem compound that includes al-Aqsa, Islam's third-holiest site," Benny Avni wrote in the New York Post. Such incitement persists, Avni noted, even though "Israel points out that the arrangements that have existed since 1967, when it seized control of the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site, are intact, and will remain so: A Jordanian trust, the Waqf, maintains the Mount. Jews can visit, but not pray there."
Even worse, President Obama's State Department reinforced the dangerously false incitement about Jerusalem promoted by Palestinians.
Writing about the 2015 "Stabbing Intifida," journalist Jeffrey Goldberg rightly pointed out that it was "prompted in good part by the same set of manipulated emotions that sparked the anti-Jewish riots of the 1920s: a deeply felt desire on the part of Palestinians to 'protect' the Temple Mount from Jews."
In the 1929 Arab riots, Arabs killed more than 130 Jews, and nearly as many Arabs died when British police responded. Among the findings of a subsequent investigation by the Shaw Commission was that "the Mufti was influenced by the twofold desire to confront the Jews and to mobilise Moslem opinion on the issue of the Wailing Wall" (in Jerusalem) and that one of the chief causes of the riots was "Propaganda among the less-educated Arab people of a character calculated to incite them."
Arab incitement against Jews happens regularly, often without the explosive element of Jerusalem. In a sermon broadcast on Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV in early January, a Hamas leader name Marwan Abu Ras, accused Jews of sending "AIDS-infected girls to fornicate with Muslim youths." He also claimed that Israel was allowing drugs to be smuggled through tunnels into Gaza, while blocking the entry of essential goods. "Their state is about to disappear," Abu Ras said. "...My brothers, know that people, stones, and trees all hate [the Jews]. Everyone on Earth hates this filthy nation, a nation extrinsic to Mankind. This fact was elucidated by the Quran and the Sunna."
But adding Jerusalem to Arab incitement against Israelis can make the resulting violence even more explosive.
Qanta Ahmed, a pro-Israel Muslim reformer who visited both the Jewish and Muslim holy sites at the Temple Mount, eloquently noted the Islamist thinking that enables the weaponization of Jerusalem: "Forbidding worshippers from entering holy sites in Islam, including non-conforming or pluralist Muslims who reject both the ideology and accouterments of Islamism is an impassioned pastime of fervent Islamists who foolishly believe only they are the keepers of our Maker..."
Unfortunately, Jerusalem has a long and bloody history of being manipulated by Muslim leaders into an explosive tool of incitement. But if Islam truly is a religion of peace, its leading practitioners should stop turning religious holy sites into weapons of war, and instead embrace Doctor Ahmed's tolerance.

U.S. Embassy Move to Jerusalem Could 'Open the Gates of Hell' - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS

U.S. Embassy Move to Jerusalem Could 'Open the Gates of Hell'

SHAWN A. AKERS  CHARISMA NEWS
Standing With Israel
President Donald Trump's opposition for moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem isn't simply limited to Palestinians and factions within the United States government. The notion has awakened an old enemy who sees the potential move as a prelude to war, World News Daily has reported.
WND reports that Iraqi cleric Motqtada al-Sadr, instrumental in forming militia against U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq, is calling for "the formation of a special division to liberate Jerusalem were the decision to be implemented."
Sadr said Tuesday in a statement, "Transferring the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem would be a public and more-explicit-than-ever declaration of war against Islam."
Palestinians hold East Jerusalem sacred as the third holiest city in Islam. It is also viewed as the future capital of a Palestinian state.
Sadr also called for the immediate closure of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, and said in his statement that the Arab League as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the world's main pan-Islamic body, should "take a decisive stand on the issue or disband."
WND reported that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has said that if the U.S. Embassy moves, he could "revoke the PLO's recognition of Israel" and that his Fatah Party, formerly led by Yasser Arafat, would "open the gates of hell."
The U.S. Embassy in Israel has always been in Tel Aviv despite the fact that the Jerusalem Embassy Act, passed by the Senate and House by wide margins in 1995, declared "Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel," and the U.S. Embassy should be established there "no later than May 31, 1999."
Since then, WND reports, every U.S. president—Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama—has signed a waiver every six months, citing "national security concerns." The U.S. has aligned itself with the United Nations policy that does not recognize Israel's annexation of East Jerusalem after the city's capture in the Six-Day War in 1967.
Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem is completely forbidden by Israeli law. Jews may enter only to visit and only at limited times. Muslims are free to pray on the Temple Mount, while Christians and Jews may only visit the site as tourists, forbidden to sing, pray or make any kind of religious display.
Trump's Mission in Israel
Attempting to rebuild a damaged U.S. relationship with Israel that occurred under the Obama administration, Trump vowed during his presidential campaign to move the embassy to Jerusalem "very quickly" after his election. In its first week in office, the Trump administration announced it would be making the move. But, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters earlier this week that no decision had been made.
Caroline Glick, a former assistant foreign policy adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote on carolineglick.com that "there is no single step the U.S. can take that will do more to rebuild U.S. credibility as an ally than moving the embassy to Jerusalem. By taking the step that none of his predecessors would take to stand in support of the U.S.'s most embattled ally worldwide, Trump will show that America can again be trusted."
The Jerusalem Post reported this week that Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat is behind the Trump administration all the way. "Trump has proven that he is a true friend of the state of Israel and keeps his promises," Barkat said in a statement.

Donald Trump Was Born Exactly 700 Days Before Israel Became a Nation - MICHAEL SNYDER CHARISMA NEWS

Donald Trump Was Born Exactly 700 Days Before Israel Became a Nation
Jan. 4, 2017 MICHAEL SNYDER  CHARISMA NEWS
Do you want to see something amazing?
If you go to any of the major search engines and ask when Donald Trump was born, you will be told that it happened on June 14, 1946. And then if you go to any of the major search engines and ask when Israel became a nation, you will be told that it happened on May 14, 1948. If you take both of those dates and plug them into the handy calculator provided by timeanddate.com, you will discover that Donald Trump was born exactly 700 days before Israel became a nation.
I was first alerted to this incredible fact by Daily Crow. Here are some other incredible numbers that link Trump and Israel from that same source.
  • Israel was 77 days old exactly 777 days after Donald Trump was born.
  • Israel's 70th birthday will come exactly 700 days after Trump's 70th birthday.
  • Donald Trump won the election on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's seventh year, seventh month and seventh day in office.
On top of everything else, Donald Trump will be 70 years, seven months and seven days old on his first full day in the White House.
As I noted above, Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946. Moving forward exactly 70 years from that date brings you to June 14, 2016. Moving forward exactly seven months from that date brings you to Jan. 14, 2017, and if you add another seven days that brings you to Jan. 21, 2017.
Donald Trump will be inaugurated on Jan. 20 and will be president for part of that day, but his first full day in office will be on Jan. 21.
And as incredible as this may sound, this will happen during year 5777 on the Hebrew calendar.
In addition, it turns out that there are some very strange "coincidences" surrounding Mike Pence as well. Here is more great stuff from Daily Crow:
He is 57 years old and will take office in the Hebrew year 5777. The last minute of Mike Pence's 57th year will take place one minute before the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem (Pence was 50th governor of Indiana), 6/7 of 2017.
Pence was born in Columbus. Trump Tower is located .7 miles down 57th street from Columbus Circle, Trump's Vice President, Pence the 57 year old from Columbus.
Could it be possible that Donald Trump and Mike Pence both have special destinies ahead of them?
They are going to take office at a critical time for America. Barack Obama appears determined to cause as much chaos as possible on his way out the door, and we just witnessed the greatest betrayal of Israel in all of American history.
And in addition to U.N. Security Council Resolution 2334, we are also finding out that the U.N. has appropriated money for a database of Israeli companies that do business in the West Bank. According to former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, the only purpose of such a database would be to punish those companies.
Lost amid the angry words that followed the Dec. 23 UN Security Council vote that critics called an American betrayal of Israel was a Christmas Eve appropriation of $138,700 to fund a database of companies doing business in the West Bank. The measure puts UN prestige behind the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, say critics.
"The types of data they are talking about acquiring would be to form the basis for future sanctions against companies that did business on the West Bank," Fox News contributor and former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton told FoxNews.com. "That's the only purpose of it that I can see."
Fortunately, some members of Congress are already working hard to try to repair the damage that Barack Obama has been doing. For example, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz wants to withhold funding from the U.S. State Department until the U.S. embassy is moved to Jerusalem.
Sen. Ted Cruz and two fellow Republicans are pressing the State Department to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Congress passed legislation in 1995 that called for moving the embassy to Jerusalem, but Democratic and Republican administrations alike have declined to enact the change, citing security concerns. The latest measure, introduced Tuesday as the new Congress convened, would withhold funding from the State Department until it makes the move.
Moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem is one of the 10 steps I detailed yesterday that I believe Donald Trump should take as soon as possible after becoming president.
Donald Trump has the opportunity to be the most pro-Israel president that we have ever had. But that is going to take more than just good intentions.
We live in a time when global events are accelerating. Donald Trump and Mike Pence are going to have to deal with some great challenges that they cannot even imagine at this moment, and it will be critical for them to be strong and resolute in the face of a rapidly changing global environment.

Update: GOP Platform Will Be Solidly Pro-Israel - BOB ESCHLIMAN CHARISMA NEWS

Update: GOP Platform Will Be Solidly Pro-Israel

According to several participants in Tuesday afternoon's Platform Committee meeting ahead of next week's Republican National Convention, South Carolina Rep. Alan Clemmons' proposed pro-Israel plank was adopted unanimously.
Specifically, the plank calls for American support for a unified Jerusalem as Israel's eternal capital, and that the U.S. Embassy be relocated there as required by federal law. It also includes language that opposes the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, and calls for opposition to any efforts to impose borders or boundaries upon Israel as a condition of a peace agreement.
"I believe this language is more in keeping with the base of the Republican Party and its support for Israel," Clemmons said after the language passed out of a subcommittee on Monday.

How Far Has Obama Gone to Offend Christians? Even This News Outlet Noticed

Obama appears to have open arms for America's enemies, according to this newspaper. (Reuters)

How Far Has Obama Gone to Offend Christians? Even This News Outlet Noticed

What struck us as we read about this small controversy is the contrast between the administration's apparent decision to risk a bit of rudeness in the case of the pope and its overwhelming deference to foreign dictators when similar issues arise. When Secretary of State John F. Kerry traveled to Havana to reopen the U.S. Embassy recently, he painstakingly excluded from the guest list any democrat, dissident or member of civil society who might offend the Castro brothers.
And when Chinese President Xi Jinping comes to the White House next week, shortly after the pope leaves town, it's a safe bet that he won't have to risk being photographed with anyone of whom he disapproves. Chen Guangcheng, the courageous blind lawyer, for example, lives nearby in exile, but he probably won't be at the state dinner. Neither will Falun Gong activists, democracy advocates or anyone else who might, well, give offense.
The Obama administration argues that it will include many people of every background. Yet according to the Wall Street Journal, "The presence of these (controversial) figures is especially irritating, (a) Vatican official said, because it isn't yet clear if the White House has invited any representatives of the U.S. anti-abortion movement, traditionally a high-priority cause for the U.S. bishops."
Read that, no one active in the pro-life movement is welcome to greet the head of the world's largest pro-life organization.
There will be some Evangelical leaders present at the event. U.S. News reports that they include "the Rev. Joel Hunter, an evangelical megachurch pastor from Florida who is a confidant of Obama on spiritual matters; the Rev. Leith Anderson, president of the National Association of Evangelicals, which represents about 40 conservative Christian denominations; and the Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference."
While it's nice of the White House to include some Evangelicals, the inclusion of persons at overt and public odds with the teachings the Pope represents and the omission of others whose political activities -- standing for the unborn and their mothers -- are essential to Catholic teaching are startling.
Remarkable: A stinging and blunt calling-on-the-carpet of an Administration far more concerned with advancing an aggressive "gay rights" agenda than defending religious liberty here at home or standing with those being horribly persecuted for their faith in repressive nations around the world. As I have written elsewhere, President Obama "cannot defend abroad what (he and his) administration ... are working to erode here at home."
The willingness of this Administration to affront the leader of the world's largest Christian tradition is an embarrassment to our country. It demonstrates a moral arrogance so profound as to be one of the few things that still surprises after nearly seven years of the President's diligent efforts to, in his words, "transform the United States of America."
Insulting foreign friends while placating foreign adversaries strikes one as an unusual approach to advancing America's national security and vital interests. Sadly, this Administration seems eager to do just that.
