"How to Shift Into Your New Season" Matt Sorger - THE ELIJAH LIST

Over the past two years there has been a major shift happening within the Body of Christ. It's not just been the turning of a page or a new chapter in your book. It's like a whole new book is being written. In this new season literally anything is possible. God is going to anoint you to create with Him. And there will be no self-striving. You are going to live out of the ease and rest of God.
From this place of simple obedience to the promptings of the Spirit you are going to receive divine creative ideas and strategies and see a double portion harvest come in.
This is just like when Jesus told Peter to throw his nets into the water in Luke 5. Peter had already been fishing all night long, but caught nothing. He was exhausted. But in obedience to the word of Jesus he threw his nets in again, catching not just one boat load, but two boat loads of fish. One word from Jesus changed everything!
From the ease of obedience Peter received a double portion harvest of fish.

Things Are Changing in Your Life

Traveling internationally I get a global perspective of what is happening within the Church. We have entered into a new season. The transition has been happening over the past one to two years. Whenever a shift happens corporately, it also happens individually. You may have noticed things changing in your life.
God has been realigning you for your new season. When shifting of seasons happen, things change in our lives affecting our activities, focus, vision and even relationships. (Photo via flickr)
The most challenging part of shifting seasons is letting go of things from our past season. This is where most people get stuck. Human nature gravitates towards the familiar and it's difficult to leave our comfort zones.
But when God is shifting us into a new place there will be things from our past season that won't be able to go with us into our new season.
Reaching the Point of Fulfillment
Each season reaches a point of fulfillment where the purposes of God for that time have been completed. Once a season reaches fulfillment you hit the ceiling of that season. If a shift is not made you plateau and eventually stagnate. It's important to understand that just because something was amazing in your last season doesn't mean it's meant for your new season.
It's easy to let go of the negative things. The hard part is letting go of the things we thought were great. But just because it was God's will and a great thing in your past season, doesn't mean it will be great in your new season.
Each season has its purpose and once that purpose is completed you need to shift into the new.
You know the season is changing when the grace of God begins to lift off of you for something. The same joy and fulfillment is no longer there. Something is changing. When this shift first starts to happen we often wonder what is wrong and we have to process what is happening. This is different from a temporary discouragement the enemy would try to bring. Don't confuse a temporary attack of the enemy with the shift of a season.
As time goes by you will know more deeply within yourself that things are changing and you need to make a shift.
Let Go of the Old to Make Room for the New
I want to help you make the shift so you don't stagnate in the old, but can move fully into the new and every amazing thing God has for you. The possibilities are limitless. What the Lord showed me was that the ceiling of our past season has now become the floor of our new season. But this can only happen if we fully yield and surrender our self-will to God. This is the key to shifting seasons. (Photo via flickr)
In prayer you must surrender your will to God and let go of anything that no longer has the fresh breath of God on it.
You must be willing to let go of the old to make room for the new. Once you surrender it sets the will of God into motion bringing you into your new season. New things will become established in your life and you will begin to birth and create new things with God.

Warm Regards,

"Get Ready For the New!" Amanda Wells, Brisbane, Australia - The Elijah List

"Get ready for the NEW! You have to come out to come in!" These were the words I heard so clearly as I was ministering on a recent weekend. Come out of the season you are in, the constraints and contentment of this season, because we are invited to come into His glory realm and get ready for the new move that awaits us!
God is longing for His people to start to see the world from His perspective! There is an invitation for us to discover our place at the Throne of Grace and take hold of the realm of eternity, where there are no limitations of the past or present and where we release Heaven onto earth!
The Year 5776
We have entered the Hebrew year 5776; the Hebrew letter vav is the number six. The mystery ofvav is that it is a hook that joins Heaven to earth; it is the divine hook that binds Heaven and earth together. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
Man was created on the sixth day, because we were created to be the connecting hook of Heaven to earth. Man was to work for six days, our work; the place of our assignment is about to become the hook that connects Heaven to earth.

Get ready; Heaven and angels are in the field of your God-given assignment.

The hook, the vav, was lost through Adam and his sin; it is now restored through Jesus Christ, and this year is the year to reach into Heaven and release the supernatural that the world is crying out for!
Seize the Process to Your Suddenly
It's time to seize and see the potential of the small "moments" that happen in our lives instead of trying to wait for a BIG moment to change everything. The small moments are an introduction to a process that eventually changes everything.
Every suddenly in Scripture was preceded by "process." After days of continual prayer in a small upper room, they were all in a place of process before thesuddenly occurred.
Jesus was "led" (a small moment He seized upon) into the wilderness, which directed Him into the process of the wilderness. Afterward, He suddenly walked into the temple and released the glory of God for the first time in 400 years through His voice.
Awakening
An awakening is stirring in the Body of Christ! Awake, your "suddenly" is about to happen. The process you have been through has been for a purpose.
Isaiah 48:3 I declared the former things long ago and they went forth from My mouth, and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
When the suddenly came in the Book of Acts, it came through sound, the voice! When the great company of heavenly host suddenly started singing to declare the birth of Jesus, it came because an angel had heralded the birth by speaking.
Time to Declare
It's time to start declaring your release from the season you are currently in and your entrance into your new season. It's time to arise and declare that the glory of the Lord is upon you.
Every voice is unique; we are created with a sound that is designed to release the realm of glory, power, and light of God. Just as God released light through His voice, we are created in His image with the same unique ability to release sound. (Photo via Pixabay)
Adam and Eve recognized the realm of glory when they heard the sound of God in the Garden. In this awakening we need to be able to discern His presence and recognize His heartbeat in the process! Then release the new sound and see the glory realm suddenly loosed in our midst.
I hear God awakening and calling His Body to "taste the powers of the age to come" and bring forth a "witness" of His glory to all nations. There is coming such a shift that as the Church awakens with a new sound we are going to see an explosion of creative miracles, healings, finances released, and the raising of the dead.
Your spirit man is at home in the glory realm, the eternal realm. When we enter this realm, we enter into the realm of revelation where we begin to think from the supernatural dimension! It is the realm that is around the Throne of Grace. This realm holds creativity and creative miracles.
Awake, awake, look up, suddenly there is an open Heaven above you; angels are preparing to visit you. In every nation of the earth, in every hidden corner of the globe, the King of Glory is coming in, and when He does the realm of glory will be fully released, Heaven will invade earth. (Photo via Pixabay)
The convergence of Heaven and Earth, it's a season of acceleration. We are entering into a time of experiencing the "power of the age, the eternal glory realm to come"!
Come out to come into the new, and see His glory loosed on the Earth!

Biden says ‘no tolerance’ for comments from PM’s media czar pick

Speaking to US Reform Jews, vice president highest level official to take aim at Ran Baratz, but also stresses support for Israel and against incitement

November 8, 2015THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

WASHINGTON — While defending the strength of US-Israel ties as a relationship that can overcome policy disagreements, Vice President Joe Biden lashed out Saturday night against what he called “terrible comments” made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s media czar appointee Ran Baratz.

Addressing the Union for Reform Judaism’s biennial conference, Biden told the audience during his keynote speech that “there is no excuse, there should be no tolerance for any member or employee of the Israeli administration referring to the president of the United States in derogatory terms. Period. Period. Period. There is no justification for an official Israeli voice degrading the secretary of state, who has worked so hard, so long for the security of Israel.”

His statement was greeted by applause from the thousands-strong audience, as he continued to condemn similar insulting statements directed toward Secretary of State John Kerry.

Although Biden did not mention Baratz by name, the recent Netanyahu appointee was the unquestionable target of the vice president’s ire. Baratz’s appointment earlier this week made international headlines when it was revealed that he had made derogatory comments on social media about President Reuven Rivlin and Kerry, and accused Obama of anti-Semitism.

Three government ministers have already called publicly for Baratz’s nomination as head of media for the Prime Minister’s Office to be rescinded, but on Friday, Netanyahu denied reports that he was reconsidering the appointment of Baratz, who runs a right-leaning news site.

With Netanyahu’s meeting with Obama only two days away, Biden has become the highest-ranking US official to respond to Baratz’s comments.

Earlier statements were confined to official spokespeople.

On Thursday, State Department Spokesman John Kirby called the comments “troubling and offensive.”

“We obviously expect government officials from any country, especially our closest allies, to speak respectfully and truthfully about senior US government official,” he said. “It’s a rule you learn in kindergarten about name-calling and it’s simply not a polite thing to do.”

In recent weeks, US and Israeli officials had sought to calm already fraught waters in advance of Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, where he is expected to advocate for increased defense support from the US.

During his Saturday evening speech, Biden largely seemed to adhere to the positive relations message. “Notwithstanding even those terrible comments, no one can undermine our relationship or our commitment to the security and future of the Jewish and democratic State of Israel,” he said.

Biden acknowledged repeatedly during his speech that Israeli and American leaders had maintained working relations despite substantive disagreements.

“I’ve [had] my share of differences with Israeli leaders,” Biden recounted. “I’ve never thought, from [former prime minister] Menachem Begin on, that the settlement policy made any sense,” he said.
‘Despicable incitement’

Describing America’s commitment to Israel’s security as “rock-solid and unshakeable,” Biden also expressed concern at the continuing violence plaguing Israel and the West Bank.

“We have strongly condemned Palestinian acts of terror against Israel,” he said, highlighting what he described as “inflammatory rhetoric” that spurs on “random acts of violence.”

Such incitement, Biden said, “is despicable and dangerous for the entire region.” At the same time, however, Biden emphasized that “both sides need to demonstrate restraint and avoid incitement.”

“We don’t want another intifada or to risk violence escalating any further,” he added. “These sad events are a reminder that we need to work toward a lasting peace between the Israeli and Palestinian people.”

Insisting on the viability and necessity of the two-state solution, Biden also singled out for criticism those who would “delegitimize Israel.”

“The efforts to delegitimize Israel are anti-Semitism, plain and simple, and we will not hesitate to call it out,” Biden insisted.

Addressing the controversial nuclear deal with Iran, Biden said he and Obama were committed to stopping Iran from getting a bomb, and thanked the audience for “not bowing to the pressure to condemn [the deal] right out of the gate.”

The vice president thanked the “many…who had the courage to step out and support it” but also said that he “respected” those who chose not to support it after reviewing the facts.

“The core of our alliance is as solid as steel. No one president or prime minister can alter that no matter what they do,” Biden stressed earlier in the speech, emphasizing what he described as “our unwavering commitment to be the guarantor of Israel’s security.”

“No one has done more for Israel’s security than the Obama-Biden administration,” he continued. “We have had our disagreements, but we have taken our security cooperation to use Bibi’s – Mr. Netanyahu’s – words, unprecedented levels.”

You Won’t Believe the Product This German Christian Kibbutz in Israel Makes - BIN

You Won’t Believe the Product This German Christian Kibbutz in Israel Makes

“Then she said, ‘Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister-in-law.’ But Ruth said, ‘Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.’ ” (Ruth 1:16)
Twenty years after the Holocaust, a group of German Christians arrived in Israel seeking to live their lives alongside the Jews with the intention of helping to usher in the redemption. Fifty-two years later, Kibbutz Beth-El has become an integral part of the city of Zichron Yaakov, the lives and fate of its members intermingled with the nation of Israel.
There are approximately 800 people – adults and children – living on the kibbutz. Emma and Elsa Berger, the founders of the movement, led the first group of German Protestants to their new home in the Holy Land in 1963. Emma, who passed away in 1984,  was quoted as saying, “We feel that we are all of the seed of Abraham, and an invisible hand has led us to Israel.”
For many years, the surrounding community of Israelis suspected the group of German Christians of being missionaries with a hidden agenda to convert the Jews. There were even incidents and legal attempts to stop the community from taking root. Time and familiarity brought down the walls of distrust as the kibbutz began to employ local residents. Today, Kibbutz Beth-El is the largest private employer in the city and are fully accepted by their Jewish neighbors, now that their intentions have passed the test of time.
Stefan Link, one of the original members who arrived from Germany, explained their connection to Israel to Breaking Israel News. “We went to Hebron and visited the grave of Ruth. She said, ‘Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.’ This very much spoke to our hearts. That is how we feel about Israel. It is an act of kindness that God gave us this, to be with Israel. And especially at times like this we must stand with Israel.”
Since 1963, Emma Berger emphasized to the members that the Messiah would be in Israel and that anyone wanting to have a part in it needed to be here. They are strong in their Christian faith and have no intention of converting Jews, but they also have no intention of leaving us.
Their belief is powerful in its simplicity, espousing a literal reading of the Old and New Testaments, without interpretations or commentary. There are no churches or Christian religious symbols, no crosses, and they observe Saturday as their day of worship and rest. Stefan described it simply, saying, “When two people with pure hearts meet, there is God, in the holy space that is between them.”

With almost prophetic vision, in 1977 the members of Bet El taught themselves engineering and began to build air-filtration systems for use in protection against poison gas attacks. Their initiative was at least partly due to a belief that the War of Gog and Magog that precedes the Messiah will involve chemical warfare. During the Gulf War in 1991, Iraqi despot Saddam Hussein threatened to use chemical weapons and nerve gas in the missiles he fired at Israel. Suddenly, their filtration systems were very much in demand and their new industry was born.
It is incredibly poignant that a German group is building systems to protect Israel from genocidal attacks. Those with a spiritual perspective will see the tikkun (fixing) in this. At first, their efforts in this area seemed foolish to others, a complex solution to a science fiction scenario. But now, their NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) system is the only one made in Israel to protect the Jewish State against a very real threat from enemies who do not hesitate to arm their missiles with nerve gas.
Believing in a modest, almost austere, lifestyle, the kibbutz members do not own televisions and eschew nightclubs and other modern urban distractions. The kibbutz ideology of communal living and non-ownership has become a part of their theology, based on their understanding of the New Testament. There are sister communities in Binyamina, Magen-Shaul, the Golan Heights and Haifa and another 700 members in Germany, Hungary, Romania, Canada and Africa who are prohibited from coming to Israel due to restrictions by the Israeli Ministry of the Interior.
The members in Israel have permanent resident status and their children serve in the Israel Defense Forces in non-combat roles. A positive force in the Israeli economy, the community has established seven factories that employ more than 700 Israelis. Their many fields provide the raw material for a home-style bakery, and a factory that produces jams and jellies.
Of course, it would have been simpler to stay in Germany and live in this manner, as do the Amish in America, especially since spreading their faith is not part of their agenda. But for them, it was essential to come to Israel since they believe that God chose the land of Israel for the Jewish people, and that the Messiah will come only if all Jews are living here. As Germans and as Christians, they feel the need to repair some of the damage done in the past in order to move forward towards the messianic age.
Link looks back on the years with a quiet joy in their spiritual accomplishments in Israel. “We are 52 years in Zichron. If I look back to ‘63, we came because we saw that it is a great gift for us to be with the Jews. We came here without any plans or expectations. We knew that whoever blesses this nation gets blessed. And we feel that we have been blessed.”

In today's verse King David declares his ultimate faith in God as the ultimate provider of safety and protection.  Through the centuries these words have rung true, and reminded the nations of the world from where Israel's ultimate security stems.  Alongside our unwavering faith in God's promise of aid, man must also do his part.  In these trying times, help Israel provide much needed blood for the victims of Arab terror.

The Star of David is known in Hebrew as a "Magen David" (Shield of David), a poetic reference to God as the ultimate shield of Israel's military hero, King David. The six pointed star hints at God's rule over all the directions of the universe: north, south, east, west, up and down.

Arms of Love - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Arms of Love
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.”
John 15:13, NKJV)

Do you need a hug today? It sure would be nice to give you one right now.

When I receive prayer requests from my beloved friends in Jerusalem, Sweden, Pakistan, India, and even right here in the USA from my best friend in Peru, Illinois, sometimes I just wish I could go to them and give them a big hug. Just to let them know that they are not alone; that the Lord Jesus is not only their Savior and Redeemer, but that He has also given others for them, to share His immense heart of love and compassion with them.

He has created us with loving arms – to wrap around others as He Himself does.

Generally I am not a hugger as much as I’d like to be. I guess it has something to do with growing up. Coming from a family of eight kids, just getting the daily jobs done and the home managed was quite a bit for Mom and Dad in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Weariness, and all that goes with it, doesn’t always allow for giving out a bunch of hugs. (But Mom sure does give them now. Thanks Mom! Dad has passed onto glory.)

As a father myself, even with our own four children, I regret that I didn’t give out the hugs I am sure they wanted, and needed, as they grew up. I do pray that what they missed out on then has now been received, as they walk in faith and love with their Lord Jesus, and have much to share with their own.

As a husband, I am also aware that I don’t give as many hugs as my good wife would love to have. But thank God that by His everlasting grace I am still working on that, even after all these 38 years.

In years gone by, when Laurie and I led worship at various Charlotte, NC church and ministry gatherings, we would sing a song from Vineyard Music called Arms of Love (see lyrics below). It is a very simple song, and yet it grips the heart when you hear of the Lord’s love, and how He so often wants to wrap us up in His arms of love.

You see, one can have these as you give of yourself to those in need, and whom you care about. When Jesus came to earth - to walk among us, experience all that we too would go through, and then in death gave us the opportunity to experience eternal life by His sacrificial blood poured out - He demonstrated what love is all about. We are to lay down our life for our friends, and to others whom He gives us.

Yeshua wrapped His loving arms around the whole world as He hung on the tree, stretched out, fully exposed, suffering a torturous death in order that you and I could have life. As Jesus obeyed the Eternal Father, by abiding in His love, He poured out His precious, cleansing blood, while graphically revealing the abundant love He bore in His heart. His blood now covers our sins, and redeems us.

His life lived among us was given because He loves us so much, and desires that we not perish in hell, but abide forever with Him in His heavenly home. That is what love is all about. Even Charlie Brown knows that.

My prayer for you today is that you know of your Father’s loving arms, that you experience a true friend who also does, and that together they would wrap their arms around you at those times you desperately need a hug.

The Lord doesn’t leave us alone to face that which often comes our way. He not only has given us Himself, but desires to place us in a spiritual family to walk with, together laying our lives down for one another, and sharing His arms of love with the world.

He loves you. He really does.

Go share His love, and hug someone today. Wrap your loving arms around them.

Arms of Love, Vineyard

I sing a simple song of love
To my Savior, to my Jesus
I'm grateful for the things You've done
My loving Savior, oh precious Jesus
My heart is glad that
You called me Your own
There's no place I'd rather be

Than in Your arms of love
In Your arms of love
Holding me still
Holding me near in Your arms of love
