Spiritual Suicide: When European Churches Sell Their Souls to Islam - II&ET

Spiritual Suicide: When European Churches Sell Their Souls to Islam

AT a time when Christians in the Middle East are being tortured, beheaded, and crucified rather than denying Jesus, so-called Christians are renouncing the Great Commission and removing the cross (literally) to make peace with Muslims
At a time when Christians in the Middle East are being tortured, beheaded, and crucified rather than denying Jesus, Christians in Europe – I should say so-called Christians – are renouncing the Great Commission and removing the cross (literally) to make peace with Muslims.
What kind of madness is this?

Last month, in Sweden, the Bishop of Stockholm “proposed a church in her diocese remove all signs of the cross and put down markings showing the direction to Mecca for the benefit of Muslim worshippers.”

As reported on Breitbart.com, “Calling Muslim guests to the church ‘angels’, the Bishop later took to her official blog to explain that removing Christian symbols from the church and preparing the building for Muslim prayer doesn’t make a priest any less a defender of the faith. Rather, to do any less would make one ‘stingy towards people of other faiths’.”
Is it any surprise that this “Christian” leader, Eva Brunne, made news in 2009 when she was installed as the Church of Sweden’s first openly lesbian bishop?
With good reason Pamela Geller exclaimed, “Sweden has surrendered without so much as firing a shot. They’ve lost it. Sweden is sacrificing its own heritage to accommodate immigrants who will not be as accommodating to native non-Muslim Swedes. The bishop is paving the way for the Islamization of Sweden.”
But this was not an isolated incident.
In Germany, an “evangelical priest has offered his parish church up to become migrant housing, but will be stripping out most of the fittings to ensure their comfort – including all symbols of Christianity.” (Note that in Germany, “evangelical” simply means “Lutheran,” referring to the official state church.)
Obviously, this church had already removed real Christianity from its soul, as noted on the church website, “Refugees welcome… we are all citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.”
So, Muslims chanting Allahu Akbar and militantly denying that Jesus is the Son of God belong to the same spiritual family as Christians proclaiming Jesus as Lord and celebrating His death and resurrection.
This is absolute theological nonsense that makes a complete mockery of the cross.
But it gets worse.
As reported on the Religion News Service, “One of Germany’s largest Protestant regional churches has come under fire from other Christians for speaking out against efforts to convert Muslims just as tens of thousands of refugees from the Islamic world are streaming into the country.”
Yes, it’s time to throw out the Great Commission!
And this was a carefully thought out strategy, reflected in a new position paper in which “the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland says the passage in the Gospel of Matthew known as the Great Commission — ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’ — does not mean Christians must try to convert others to their faith.”
Can they even believe what they wrote? Do they not realize that the only reason there is Christianity in Germany (or any other part of the world) is because someone brought the message to that country or people – sometimes costing the messenger his or her very life?
Do they not realize that, if Christianity is not a missionary faith, then it is no faith at all, and that just as Jesus came into the world “to seek and save the lost” so He sends us to seek and save the lost? As David Livingstone once said, “God had an only Son and He made Him a missionary.”
Yet this blasphemous position paper, entitled “Pilgrim Fellowship and Witness in Dialogue with Muslims,” argues that, “A strategic mission to Islam or meeting Muslims to convert them threatens social peace and contradicts the spirit and mandate of Jesus Christ and is therefore to be firmly rejected.”
This not only makes a mockery of the blood that Jesus shed on the cross. It also makes a mockery of the blood that our brothers and sisters have shed in the Muslim world as they lay down their lives to reach them with the good news.

Ironically, while these European churches are selling their souls to make peace with Islam, in Norway, it was reported that, “A Muslim interrupted a child christening in church by running to the sacristy with the Quran in hand, yelling that Allah is the only true god.”
Oswald Smith famously said that the church that does not evangelize will fossilize. The reality is that these churches already gave up the great commission years ago, becoming nothing more than fossils of the faith.
Their blasphemous actions today simply reflect the previous death of their spirit. They have no more right to be called churched than ISIS has the right to be called compassionate.
May God raise up a powerful, witnessing church in Europe before it is too late, and may He strengthen those who are still standing strong in the midst of the current apostasy.

"I see him but not now; I behold him but not near; a star shall come forth from Jacob, a scepter shall arise from Israel and crush the head of Moab and tear down all the sons of Seth."  Numbers 24:17
School ministry Munich

"What should I do?  I'm a Muslim"

After a fruitful time of ministry in public schools in Germany, several students asked this question.  So we told them to look to the founder of each religion.

"What did Mohammed do?  He stealed, killed, and destroyed.  And what did Yeshua do?  He healed the sick, delivered the possessed, had showed compassion to the poor and lost, etc.  So who do you want to follow?  No one can force you to believe; it's your choice."
The students replied, "We will follow Yeshua!"
Planetary conjunctionOn October 27th at 3 AM Carolyn and I were travelling south from Haifa to the Ben Gurion Airport.  When we started to head east we beheld a site that almost took our breath away.  In the eastern sky were three bright lights on the horizon.  Two of them looked like they were joined together with one being much brighter than the other.  My first thought was that it was man-made - perhaps drones.  But they were too big and bright to be drones - and they weren't moving.  They were stationary and appeared to be hovering over Judea, near Jerusalem or Bethlehem.
We checked the internet and found an article from a Jewish site, The Times of Israel with this headline:
As planets align, some see return of Jesus' Star of Bethlehem
The rare convergence of Venus, Jupiter and Mars this week has some wondering if it's time to cue the Magi
Could this be a similar phenomenon to what the Magi had seen in the sky which led them to Bethlehem 2,000 years ago?  I later found out that there were four planets; Jupiter, Venus, Mars and Mercury in the sky along with Regulus, the king star. If that wasn't enough, on that same night in the western sky, we saw the first full moon after the fourth blood red moon of the tetrad.  This amazing planet/star configuration was in the eastern sky while the full moon was shining in all its glory in the western sky.  Truly awesome!
This is a simulation of what we saw:
I discovered that in the year 2 BC this extremely rare planet/star configuration could be found in the skies over Israel.  G-d announced the coming of His son the first time with a special sign in the sky.  The second time, when Yeshua returns, G-d will announce His return with signs in the sky.  Could it be the same sign that we were privileged to see?

When we arrived in Munich Germany we were invited to the leadership meeting of The Gathering, a meeting at the Olympic stadium where thousands of German believers were gathering.   During a special meeting a Persian man declared that a group of 40 Iranians were sojourning to Israel.  They would be bringing precious gifts to Israel just as their ancestors, the Magi, did over 2000 years ago.  When we heard this we almost fell off our seats.  Carolyn looked at me and said, "Do you know what the L-rd told me to put in my purse before we left Israel - a bottle of Frankincense? I've never done anything like that before."  When we shared with the Iranian believers they were overwhelmed and gratefully accepted our offer to anoint them with the frankincense.
Do you remember the promise the Magi made to Herod as they were leaving him on their way to Bethlehem?  They said they would report what they had found, but they were later warned by G-d in a dream to go home another way.  2,000 years later that promise is being fulfilled.  Their descendants have returned and they are reporting what they have seen - that Yeshua is the Messiah, the King of Israel!  As they travel through Zion they're telling Jewish Israelis that they used to shout "Death to Israel", but after finding Yeshua, they now love and pray for her.  Outstanding!

Forgiveness: Not a One-Time Deal - TAMMY DARLING CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Two keys to spiritual freedom are forgiveness and repentance.

Forgiveness: Not a One-Time Deal

When my oldest sister got engaged, I jumped right in to help. I was happy that she was so happy and eager to share in her joy.
But what I saw as helping, my future brother-in-law viewed as interference. Our relationship went from bad to worse; my pride had been stepped on and I was hurting. I was treated like the scum of the earth, which only served to fuel my anger at his arrogance.
The more I thought about him, the angrier I became. Soon it was all I thought about. I was angry, bitter and stressed. My thoughts turned to revenge—surely there was some way I could hurt him back. I would have been perfectly pleased if he would have just dropped dead.
I'm not happy to admit how far I had gone over the edge, but I am happy to report that I found the freedom that repentance brings.
It wasn't easy. I had to make a deliberate decision to forgive this man for the way he treated me—even though he continued to do it for some time. I discovered forgiveness is not a one-time deal. I have had to repeatedly forgive him, even though he has never asked for forgiveness.
Most importantly, I discovered my own part in the fiasco—and my own need for repentance. It wouldn't have done any good to forgive him and not repent for the part I played. I told him I was sorry, and then I got things right with God. My relationship with Him had suffered greatly during this time and my repentance quickly restored our fellowship.
I discovered that repentance is like a recipe—it has several ingredients that are necessary for the desired result to come about. Leave an ingredient out of a recipe—or repentance—and the outcome can be hard, bitter, or downright disastrous.
The first ingredient of repentance is choice. I had to make a conscious, deliberate decision to repent. In essence, repentance is an act of the will involving change in thinking (not feelings) with a resulting change in conduct.
When God convicted me for the part I played in the situation with my brother-in-law, I made a determined decision to repent, which led to a change in thinking, then reflected in the way I responded to him. Ultimately, my change in conduct, brought on by repentance, relieved the growing tension in our relationship.
The second ingredient of repentance is inward change. This is where the rubber meets the road. Feigned repentance will not bring inward change and no one will be fooled for long—and God won't be fooled at all!
Humility is what makes inward change possible. "Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you" (James 1:21, NIV).
Once I changed my thinking about my brother-in-law, I was surprised to find myself actually praying for him—not to change but to find Christ. The inward change in me self-sacrifice,enabled me to develop a concern for him that I had never had before.
The third ingredient of repentance is godly sorrow. The lives of Judas and Peter clearly illustrate the difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow. Judas felt guilt and remorse, but his suicide was the result of worldly sorrow, not of spiritual brokenness. Unlike Judas, Peter was grieved in his spirit and wept bitterly over his sin. He was a broken man. The difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow is brokenness.
I knew I had truly repented for my part in the damaged relationship when I cried over my behavior. Here was a fellow creation of God and as a self-proclaimed Christian I had treated him as though he wasn't fit to be alive. I had truly sinned against God, and I had finally realized it.
The final ingredient in repentance is self-sacrifice. Simply being sorry for the results of sin is not repentance. In confessing openly and admitting our guilt we forcefully have to cast off wrong motives. Sometimes physical restitution is also needed.
True inward repentance is often demonstrated in the sacrificial steps taken to abandon sin. Repentance without meaningful action is like a cloud-filled sky with no rain.
After I repented and got things right with God, I went to my brother-in-law and openly apologized. Our relationship is better than it ever was.
There really is freedom in repentance.
Prayer Power for the Week of November 9, 2015
This week ask the Lord to help you restore broken relationships caused by your attitude and actions. Pray for the willingness to forgive those who have hurt you and ask God to bless and prosper them. Thank Him for the freedom you'll enjoy when you embrace true repentance. Continue to pray for revival to ignite in our churches and spread across the nation and around the world. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the persecuted church, and the leaders He has placed over us in our homes, churches, communities, state and nation (Matt. 5:22-24; Matt. 5:38-48).
