Levi Zachary - Hebrew "Attached - Remembered by God" - Our 7th Grandchild! (01.16.16 - added photos)

Levi Zachary - Hebrew "Attached - Remembered by God"

Our 6th grandson, 7th grandchild, was born to Hannah Elizabeth (Martin) and Jonathan Avalos on January 13, 2016 around 12:30 pm in Charlotte, NC. He came out "weighing in at" 5 lbs. 6 oz. and 20" long.

We are so blessed, knowing that Hebrew origin names have been given to this little boy, chosen by the living God of Israel to do mighty exploits in the life the good Lord has planned for him.

Little Levi was born with no radius bone in either arm, having what is known as the TAR syndrome. (See below). We will be amazed at how the Lord will give much grace to Levi and his family as He demonstrates His creative wisdom and full understanding of all things.

Both Laurie and I were able to hold this newborn joy of our hearts just hours after coming forth. We look forward to seeing him grow in the faithful and believing care of his parents, brother Payton, and all of his extended family surrounding him, all in the wisdom and understanding of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua) in his time on earth.

Bless you little Levi Zachary - attached to us now and remembered by God!

What is TAR syndrome?
Thrombocytopenia-absent radius (TAR) syndrome is characterized by the absence of a bone called the radius in each forearm. Affected individuals also have a shortage (deficiency) of blood cells involved in clotting (platelets). This platelet deficiency (thrombocytopenia) usually appears during infancy and becomes less severe over time; in some cases the platelet levels become normal.
Thrombocytopenia prevents normal blood clotting, resulting in easy bruising and frequent nosebleeds. Potentially life-threatening episodes of severe bleeding (hemorrhages) may occur in the brain and other organs, especially during the first year of life. Hemorrhages can damage the brain and lead to intellectual disability. Affected children who survive this period and do not have damaging hemorrhages in the brain usually have a normal life expectancy and normal intellectual development.
TAR syndrome is unusual among similar malformations in that affected individuals have thumbs, while people with other conditions involving an absent radius typically do not. TAR syndrome is also associated with short stature and additional skeletal abnormalities, including underdevelopment of other bones in the arms and legs. Affected individuals may also have malformations of the heart and kidneys. TAR syndrome is associated with unusual facial features including a small lower jaw (micrognathia), a prominent forehead, and low-set ears. About half of affected individuals have allergic reactions to cow's milk that may worsen the thrombocytopenia associated with this disorder.

How common is TAR syndrome?

TAR syndrome is a rare disorder, affecting fewer than 1 in 100,000 newborns.

The Dow Falls Another 364 Points And We Are Now Down 2200 Points From The Peak Of The Market - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Falling - Public Domain
Posted: 13 Jan 2016  Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

It was another day of utter carnage on Wall Street.  The Dow was down another 364 points, the S&P 500 broke below 1900, and the Nasdaq had a much larger percentage loss than either of them.  The Russell 2000 has now fallen 22 percent from the peak, and it has officially entered bear market territory.  After 13 days, this remains the worst start to a year for stocks ever, and trillions of dollars of stock market wealth has already been wiped out globally.

Meanwhile, junk bonds continue their collapse.  JNK got hammered all the way down to 33.06 as bond investors race for the exits.  In case you were wondering, this is exactly what a financial crisis look like.

Many of the “experts” had been proclaiming that “things are different this time” and that stocks could defy gravity forever.

Now we seeing that was not true at all.

So how far could stocks ultimately fall?

I have been telling my readers that stocks still need to fall about another 30 percent just to get to a level that is considered to be “normal” be historical standards, but the truth is that they could eventually fall much farther than that.

Just this week, Societe Generale economist Albert Edwards made headlines all over the world with his prediction that we could see the S&P 500 drop by a total of 75 percent…
If I am right and we have just seen a cyclical bull market within a secular bear market, then the next recession will spell real trouble for investors ill-prepared for equity valuations to fall to new lows. To bottom on a Shiller PE of 7x would see the S&P falling to around 550.
I will repeat that: If I am right, the S&P would fall to 550, a 75% decline from the recent 2100 peak. That obviously will be a catastrophe for the economy via the wealth effect and all the Fed’s QE hard work will turn dust.
That is why I believe the Fed will fight the next bear market with every weapon available including deeply negative Fed Funds rates in addition to more QE. Indeed, negative policy rates will become ubiquitous.
Most believe a 75% equity bear market to be impossible. But those same people said something similar prior to the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. They, including the Fed, failed to predict the vulnerability of the US economy that would fall into deep recession, well before Lehman’s went bust in September 2008.
Other than stocks, there are three key areas that I want my readers to keep an eye on during the weeks ahead…

1. The Price Of Oil – The price of oil doesn’t have to go one penny lower to continue causing catastrophic damage in the financial world.  If we hover around 30 dollars a barrel, we will see more bankruptcies, more defaults, more layoffs and more carnage for energy stocks.  But of course it is quite conceivable that the price of oil could easily slide a lot farther.  Just check out some of the predictions that some of the biggest banks in the entire world are now making
Just this week Morgan Stanley warned that the super-strong U.S. dollar could drive crude oil to $20 a barrel. Not to be outdone, Royal Bank of Scotland said $16 is on the horizon, comparing the current market mood to the days before the implosion of Lehman Brothers in 2008.
Standard Chartered doesn’t think those dire predictions are dark enough. The British bank said in a new research report that oil prices could collapse to as low as $10 a barrel — a level unseen since November 2001.
2. Junk Bonds – This is something that I have written about repeatedly.  Right now, we are witnessing an epic collapse of the junk bond market, just like we did just prior to the great stock market crash of 2008.  As I mentioned above, Wednesday was a particularly brutal day for junk bonds, and Jeffrey Gundlach seems convinced that the worst is still yet to come…
He seemed to leave his most dire predictions for junk bonds, a part of the market he’s been bearish on for years. Gundlach believes hedge funds investing in risky debts face major liquidity risks if they are forced to exit positions amid investor redemptions. “We could be looking at a real ugly situation in the first quarter of 2016,” Gundlach said on a Tuesday call with investors, when referring to redemptions.
Because many hedge funds operate with leverage, he raised an alarming prospect that those who don’t redeem could be left with losses far more severe than their marks indicate. As the Federal Reserve raises rates, redemptions combined with tightening credit conditions could create major pricing dislocations.
3. Emerging Markets – We have not seen money being pulled out of emerging markets at this kind of rate in decades.  We are seeing a repeat of the conditions that caused the Latin American debt crisis of the 1980s and the Asian financial crisis of the 1990s.  Only this time what we are witnessing is truly global in scope, and central bankers are beginning to panic.  The following comes from Wolf Richter
Last year was a terrible year, probably worse than 2009,” the head of Mexico’s central bank told a conference of central bankers in Paris on Tuesday. It was the first year since 1988 that emerging markets saw net capital outflows, according to the Institute of International Finance, a Washington-based association of global banks and finance houses.
In December more than $3.1 billion fled emerging market funds. If anything, the New Year has been worse.
“I don’t have any data yet for the first week of 2016 but it’s probably going to be veryveryvery bad,” Carstens said. If conditions do not improve, he warned, central banks in emerging markets may have little choice but to adopt a more “radical” approach to monetary policy, including intervening in domestic bonds and securities markets.
In addition to everything that I just shared with you, we got several other very troubling pieces of news on Wednesday

-Canadian stocks continued their dramatic plunge and have now officially entered a bear market.

-PC sales just hit an eight year low.

-GoPro just announced that it is getting rid of 7 percent of its total workforce.

The bad news is coming fast and furious now.  The snowball that started rolling downhill about halfway last year has set off an avalanche, and panic has gripped the financial marketplace.

But my readers knew all of this was coming in advance.  What we are witnessing right now is simply the logical extension of trends that have been building for months.  The global financial crisis that started during the second half of 2015 is now bludgeoning Wall Street mercilessly, and investors are in panic mode.

So what comes next?

We have never seen a year start like this, so it is hard to say.  And if there is some sort of a major “trigger event” in our near future, we could see some single day crashes that make history.

Either way, the hounds have now been released, and it is going to be exceedingly difficult to get them back into the barn.

“And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord, their God.” (Leviticus 26:44)
With anti-Semitism on the rise in Europe, a pro-Israel rally made its way through the streets of Warsaw on Sunday in solidarity with the Jewish state, reported Jewish.pl.
Waving the blue-and-white Star of David flag along with the Polish flag, Jews and Christians danced and sang side-by-side as they marched to Grzybowski Square and the Israeli Embassy.
Israel’s ambassador to Poland, Anna Azari, addressed the crowd, stating, “I’ve never seen such a large demonstration of support for Israel.”
The stated purpose of the march was to protest growing anti-Semitism in Europe as a result of the rise of Islam, and the numerous and “unjust UN resolutions” against Israel.
The gathering, organized by a group of pro-Israel churches and organizations, was intended to show support for Israel in the face of ongoing terror attacks, which they dubbed the third intifada. One of the lead religious organizations behind the rally was The Church of the Community of the Tent of David organized the rally, led by their pastor, Edward Ćwierz.
Christians who took part in the public pro-Israel display explained that their presence was to show “support that the covenant between the Jews and God is still in effect” as is written in the Bible:
“I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great, so that will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” (Genesis 12: 2-3)
Pawel Czyszek, editor of the Polish Jews Forum, told JTA, “When Polish and European media report on events in Israel, it is often unreliable and negative for Israelis. I walked in the march, carrying the flag of the State of Israel, to demonstrate my support for the country and convey to Israelis that they are not alone.”

There was reportedly a small counter-demonstration led by the National Rebirth of Poland (NOP), a far-right political group formerly associated with Poland’s Christian National Union. The NOP is notoriously homophobic and proudly flaunt their ideal of fascism. They are a fringe element in Polish politics and have no seats in the parliament. The counter-demonstration did not disturb the rally, which remained peaceful and joyous.
The march was also supported by the Christian Church “Cenacle” in Kielce, Foundation “Polania” Krakow, the Church of Evangelical Christians, the Church “New Jerusalem”, the Church Mission “New Beginning”, and the Movement “Poland for Jesus”.
Jews have lived in Poland for over 800 years and at one time the country hosted the largest Jewish population in Europe. Nonetheless, it was also the scene of some of the most virulent anti-Semitism, culminating in the almost completely genocidal destruction of Polish Jewry during the Holocaust.

In Rejection of Genesis 12:3, Methodist Church Divests from Israel By Abra Forman - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

In Rejection of Genesis 12:3, Methodist Church Divests from Israel

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
The Israeli banks now excluded from the fund were named on the pension board’s website as Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, First International Bank of Israel, Israel Discount Bank, and Mizrachi Tefahot Bank.
The fund sold off the Israeli bank stock, which was worth a few million dollars in a portfolio which has about $20 billion in assets. It also sold off a smaller holding, worth about $5,000, in the Israeli real estate and construction company Shikun & Binui, and blocked the company from its investment portfolio along with the banks.
Israel and the Palestinian territories are among over a dozen “high risk” countries and areas which “demonstrate a prolonged and systematic pattern of human rights abuses”, said the pension board’s website. Other “high risk” areas include Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, North Korea, and Syria.
These countries are identified as places where “a specific economic sector is recognized as prolonging conflict or violence” and “significant breaches of international law occur.”
NO to BDS and YES to Israel!
Within its portfolio, the fund found 39 companies which violated its criteria. Most of them have already been placed on the fund’s blacklist of enterprises which, according to the fund, profit from the abuse of human rights. Nine other companies were blocked over the fund’s concerns about their contributions to global warming and climate change.
The five Israeli banks blacklisted by the fund were among companies targeted by United Methodist Kairos Response (UMKR), which is a coalition of Methodist church members whose purpose is “encouraging our church to divest its holdings in companies that support and profit from Israel’s occupation.”
Pastor Keith Johnson, founder of Biblical Foundations Academy International and a member of the United Methodist Church, called the pension board’s decision “unbiblical.”

“The board’s decision strikes at the fundamental core and is contrary Biblically and practicially. It’s clear that this decision was made out of politics,” he told Breaking Israel News. “It’s embarrassing to me as a pastor who loves Israel and who has visited Israel that these people who make the decisions don’t have all the information.”
Johnson revealed to Breaking Israel News that upon the board’s announcement, he is standing up for Israel “in my small way” by divesting with the church’s pension fund, which he joined no less than one week ago. “I called them today and cancelled my pension plan with them. I am a United Methodist pastor and as the board of pension chooses to divest, I choose to divest from the board of pension,” he stated.
The Methodist Church is the latest to join a growing number of churches divesting from Israel. Last year, the United Church of Christ announced that it was divesting in companies which conduct business in Judea and Samaria, and in 2014, the Presbyterian Church USA made a similar move.
“The decision by the church is throwing gas on the fire,” Johnson told Breaking Israel News. “They are people with an agenda and this is not us. I can almost bet the members of the board have never been to Israel, the West Bank, have never set foot in the Land. They are falling in line with an agenda spreading around the world that is making Israel the bad guy without understanding the situation.”

After Firestorm On-Air Resignation, This Former Russia Today Anchor is Exposing the Media’s Hidden Agenda Against Israel - by Ahuva Balofsky BIN

After Firestorm On-Air Resignation, This Former Russia Today Anchor is Exposing the Media’s Hidden Agenda Against Israel

“All my intimate friends abhor me; and they whom I loved are turned against me.” (Job 19:19)
A former television news anchor for Russia Today’s (RT) American affiliate has denounced the media’s anti-Israel bias, urging the public to fight bigotry with information. After experiencing first-hand the way media bias breeds anti-Semitism, Liz Wahl opted to create a documentary on the subject.
Wahl published an op-ed in the Jerusalem Post Tuesday, sharing her experiences and explaining the motivation behind the film.
In March of 2014, at the height of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict over Crimea, a disillusioned Wahl resigned her post with RT America on-air over her growing discomfort with her employer’s role in distorting media coverage of the events. Her actions created a firestorm on social media, but “I found the wave of anti-Semitic hate particularly shocking and confusing.”
Wahl is not Jewish, nor does she have any ties to Israel. Yet, “the accusations of being a ‘Zionist neocon’ were unrelenting.”
WATCH: Liz Wahl Resign On-Air here: Russia Today
A journalist based in Washington, DC., Wahl has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, The View, The Colbert Report and international news outlets. Her experiences with Russian media accustomed her to the knee-jerk accusations of “a paranoid population attributing any atrocity to a nefarious conspiracy by power-hungry evildoers intent on controlling the world.” However, she was surprised to see the Jews blamed for the events in question, and even more so to be charged with being a part of it.
Ultimately, however, Wahl realized this was nothing new. The Jewish people had been scapegoats for centuries. Wahl herself had watched as people’s opposition to Israel’s treatment of Palestinians had shifted into blatant anti-Semitism, even at her own TV station. She began to notice, as well, the proliferation of anti-Semitic sentiment among far-Left leaders in the US.
NO to BDS and YES to Israel!
Following the decidedly “uncool” personal brush with anti-Semitism, Wahl decided to investigate the role the media plays in propagating hatred. The resulting film, “Media 101: Reading Between the Lines, was produced in conjunction with Jerusalem U, a Jewish educational organization.
The film, narrated by Wahl, explores both the impact of the media and the tools available to the public to combat such misinformation and animosity.
Wahl points to the dangers posed by the “constant bombardment” of social media today. “How can we control the flames?” she asks. “I believe that education and awareness can be powerful tools against hate and bigotry.”
“‘Media 101’ not only sheds a light on where anti-Jewish sentiment might come from, but also on how we can identify different types of media bias and how we can all be wiser and more responsible information consumers.”

What's Next on God's Calendar?

1/13/2016 LARRY TOMCZAK  CHARISMA NEWS

A gunman flees after shooting a police officer in Pennsylvania. (Reuters/Police Handout)

Last week, a man shot 13 times at a Philadelphia policeman in his car. The execution was foiled as the policeman miraculously survived, pursued him and the man was apprehended.

At a press conference later, the police commissioner stated unequivocally that the man confessed he acted in the name of Allah, was Islamic and was obeying the Koran.
The obviously rattled, politically correct mayor followed with a different story. He said this was not Islam and had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism.
Who's correct?
In situations like this, we go to the source. This murderer said he was a Muslim, his mother concurred, and he was unapologetic about his adherence to Islamic doctrine and practice.
When it comes to eschatology, the study of end times, we should also go to the source concerning what is on God's timetable. Jesus is that Source and, when He was queried by His followers about these days, He gave signposts to prepare them and us.
In reading the signs that Jesus laid out for us in the Gospels, many believe they're almost fulfilled. Therefore, the next logical event in the progression is His Second Coming!
Not so fast.
R.T. Kendall, one of the world's most respected Bible scholars and author of 60 books, told me recently what Jesus Himself said must precede His physical return to planet Earth. I am in total agreement with him, and that is why I am involved in an upcoming, historic event called "United Cry" to which every pastor in America is invited.
Here's the deal: After unfolding the signs of the end of the age prior to His return (Matt. 24), Jesus gave us an explicit parable dealing with preparation and falling asleep. He said at midnight will come a cry to awaken us before He as our Bridegroom comes back (Matt. 25:6).
The midnight cry and the return of our Lord aren't simultaneous. We need an awakening first, and that's what God intends for our desperately needy nation! Billy Graham says, "I've wept for America—she is in great need of a spiritual awakening." This spiritual giant, who is almost 100, says he prays fervently for this every day!
Today our freedoms, our faith, our families and our future are all at stake. We're engaged in a titanic, unprecedented struggle with forces of evil and must categorically reject wishful thinking that this is simply temporary, cyclical or manageable.
We are at a tipping point where either we experience the divine intervention of God in a Third Great Awakening or we will witness the fulfillment of A.W. Tozer's prophetic warning: "Historians will conclude that we of the 20th century had the genius to create a great civilization, but we lacked the moral wisdom to preserve it."
Previous Awakenings
Amid horrendous decline, God intervened with a First Great Awakening from 1720–1760. The Second Great Awakening came in answer to God's people praying and repenting in 1800-1840.
The time is now for another supernatural visitation! It's our only hope to experience the transformation of our crumbling culture before it's too late. It's the reason Franklin Graham is now traveling to every state in America to issue this call in his "Decision America" tour.
Our nation was established on Judeo-Christian foundations, no matter what some politicians and secular "authorities" state. We have a biblically based heritage and we must contend for its restoration.
John Winthrop, first governor of Massachusetts, alerted us: "We must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be made a story and a by-word to the world."
Daniel Webster, senator and secretary of state for three presidents, also warned: "If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering ... if we live in the fear of God, and respect His Commandments ... we may have the highest future fortunes of our country. ... But if we and our future generations reject religious instruction and authority; violate the rules of the eternal justice, trifle with the injunctions of morality and recklessly destroy the political constitution which holds us together, no man can tell us how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity."
Rewinding the Tape
In April 1789, the war for America's independence had been fought and won. A new nation formed around a radical constitution whose very ideas were born out of 35 years of revival preaching and the Great Awakening.
On that spring day in April, two things happened. President George Washington was sworn in at Federal Hall in New York City, becoming the first president of America. Secondly, he led the inaugural delegation to St. Paul's Chapel, which we know today as the site of "Ground Zero."
Visualize with your sanctified imagination what happened there that day. Picture the Founding Fathers, representatives, senators, and justices kneeling for two hours and dedicating America to God. Simultaneously, throughout the nation, pastors rang their church bells, calling the people of America to prayer in committing the new government to the Most High God.
In the formation of our nation, it was America's political leaders and pastors who unapologetically led the grass-roots fight for freedom and consecration of our new nation to God. They inspired people to stand for religious liberties and justice for all.
Years ago, when I wrote my autobiography, Clap Your Hands, I was assisted by David Manuel, who wrote The Light and the Glory, the historical account of America's spiritual founding. His account parallels where America is at today. As our developing nation prospered, complacency, compromise and disobedience set in. So pastors led the way in humble prayer and repentance in turning back to God.
As a result, as Manuel wrote in his aforementioned book, "so many people had sincerely and publicly repented of their sinful ways, so many lives were truly reformed, so many broken relationships were restored and so many churches solemnly renewed their covenants that God relented and poured out His mercy. There was a sense of freshness in the colonies, a sense of cleanness and new hope. The colonies were united in a common cause."
Set the Date: "United Cry," April 9, 2016, Lincoln Memorial
On April 10, my wife and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We are not sailing off to the Bahamas to soak in the sun. We're united in this "common cause" of joining 30,000 spiritual leaders in Washington, D.C., for this historic day of repentance and prayer appealing for awakening in America.
How desperately we need a "sense of cleanness and new hope" in America today.
It really is the next thing on God's calendar. We have it from a good Source, our Lord Jesus!
