Israel's Beacon of Light ✡ "What Seest Thou?" - ISRAEL365

Today's Israel Inspiration

In this verse, the prophet Zechariah alludes to the seven branched candleabra that will be used in the future Holy Temple. The Sages of the Talmud refer to Jerusalem as “the light of the world.” The symbol of this holy spiritual light was the Temple lamp, the ‘menorah,’ which emanated light through the unusual windows of the Sanctuary. The windows were made narrower on the inside – bringing less sunlight into the Sanctuary, but maximizing the spiritual light that burst forth to the world. This is symbolic of Israel’s mission to be a “light unto the nations” (Isaiah 42:6). Recognized by many, the Shofar is another icon unique to Judaism, representing a yearning to be close to God, a very appropriate message during this holy month when Yom Hateruah takes place. Above all is the undeniable importance of the Torah, showing our everlasting devotion to our Creator and His loving kindness. Combined, the three iconic symbols represent the strength and resilience of the Jewish people throughout their long and arduous history, and even continue to be a beacon of inspiration today. Just 3 years ago, archaeologists unearthed the most remarkable discovery: a medallion depicting all three symbols-the menorah, the shofar and a Torah scroll. Now you can proudly wear the powerful message and carry the flame of Jewish strength at all times.

Lance Wallnau Is on Fire and on Target With His Insights on the Culture and This Election - STEVE STRANG CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Lance Wallnau Is on Fire and on Target With His Insights on the Culture and This Election

Strang Report, by Steve Strang, Founder of Charisma magazineLance Wallnau is on fire when it comes to garnering social media attention. I know this because a podcast he did with me last spring about Donald Trump was listened to more than any other in the history of the Charisma Podcast Network.
He wrote the cover story for the October issue of Charisma about how he believes God is raising up Donald Trump like He did Cyrus in Isaiah 45. I did a podcast about that two weeks ago, which has become the second most listened to podcast I've done. If you missed it, you can listen to it here.
Today, Lance spoke at a conference in Orlando. It was powerful. Afterward, we got a bite to eat and he told me a video about Trump calling out "liberal" pharisaical evangelicals for blasting him for ungodly behavior 11 years ago, yet overlooking his repentance and also the corruption and the diabolical agenda of the Hillary Clinton campaign. In only a few days, it's been viewed more than 3.5 million times! You will want to watch it. In it he says God can use the jawbone of a donkey, but He can't use a Jezebel.
I'm sickened by the self-righteous, weak-kneed "evangelicals" who want to be liked by the culture they are trying to win so much that they compromise and actually play into the hands of the enemy. Later, I may call out some of them by name after I can research what they said and maybe confront them behind the scenes. They need to be exposed and they need to lose their influence and platforms after being revealed for who they really are.
After my last podcast with Lance, he and I kept talking as friends and what he was saying was so good I asked him if I could turn on the recorder to give "the rest of the story." You'll want to listen to that podcast here called "God is Raising Up Trump with Lance Wallnau Part 2" on the Charisma Podcast Network. Then share this newsletter with friends and on social media.
In other newsletters, I've written about the article Pastor Jim Garlow of Skyline Church in San Diego wrote two months ago that we headlined: "If You're on the Fence About Your Vote, This Pastor Clarifies How the Very Future of America Is at Stake." Since then, it's gone viral, and today it passed the 3.5 million mark in terms of shares on Facebook.
Someone told me the article is like an apologetic for voting for Donald Trump when you don't like him as a person. A friend told me today she wasn't going to vote for Trump until she read the article. She realized this is not about personalities; it's about issues, and the platforms of the two parties are as different as night and day, especially from a biblical point of view.
In this podcast, Lance talks about how America cannot stand 48 months more months of the downward spiral this nation has been in for the past few decades—especially in the past eight years.
When we met today, we talked about a quick e-book Lance wrote called God's Chaos Candidate I ordered it today, and it's fascinating reading not only about Trump but also about the trends in our culture and the agenda of the progressive left. When I checked, it was No. 118 of all books amazon.com sells.
Please take advantage of these materials and help us get out the word. It's possible that this race will be so close that it will be determined by how Bible-believing Christians vote.

Drowning In Debt: 35 Percent Of All Americans Have Debt That Is At Least 180 Days Past Due - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

drowning-help-public-domain

Posted: 14 Oct 2016   Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

More than a third of all Americans can’t pay their debts.  I don’t know about you, but to me that is a shocking figure.  As you will see below, 35 percent of the people living in this country have debt in collections.  When a debt is in  collections, it is at least 180 days past due.  And this is happening during the “economic recovery” that the mainstream media keeps touting, although the truth is that Barack Obama is going to be the only president in United States history to never have a single year when the economy grew by at least 3 percent.  But at least things are fairly stable for the moment, and if this many Americans are having trouble paying their bills right now, what are things going to look like when the economy becomes extremely unstable once again.

The 35 percent figure is a nugget that I discovered in a CNN article about Detroit that I was reading earlier today
And the city’s troubles have left a mark on the financial stability of its residents in a big way, according to a new report from the Urban Institute.
About 66% of residents have debt in collections — meaning more than 180 days past due — at a median amount of $1,847. Across the U.S., 35% of Americans have debt in collections.
It is hard to believe that 66 percent of the residents of one of our largest cities could have debt in collections, but without a doubt the city of Detroit is a complete and utter economic wasteland at this point.

But to me, the 35 percent figure for the nation as a whole is a much greater concern.
And much of the debt that is in collections is credit card debt.

In the immediate aftermath of the last financial crisis, many Americans started getting out of debt, and that was a very good thing.

Unfortunately, that trend has completely reversed itself over the past few years, and now credit card balances are rising at a pace that is quite alarming
Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Federal Reserve, ValuePenguin found that the average credit card debt for households that carry a balance is a shocking $16,048 — a figure that has risen by 10% over the past three years. At the average variable credit card interest rate of 16.1%, this translates to nearly $2,600 in credit card interest alone. And many credit cards have interest rates much higher than the average.
Even scarier, consider that based on the average interest rate and a minimum payment of 1.5% of the balance, it would take nearly 14 years for the typical indebted household to pay off its existing credit card debt, at a staggering cost of more than $40,200. Keep in mind that this assumes no additional credit card debt is added to the tab along the way.
Those that have been there know exactly how it feels to be drowning in credit card debt.

You know, they don’t teach you about credit cards in high school or in college.  At least they didn’t in my day.  So once I got out into the “real world” and discovered the joy of instantly getting whatever I wanted with a credit card, I didn’t understand how painful it would be to pay that money back someday.

If you have credit card balances that are out of control, they can keep you up late into the night.  The worry and the fear can eat away at you like a cancer, and many people play a game of moving balances from one card to another in a desperate attempt to stay afloat.
Fortunately I learned my hard lessons at an early enough age to get things turned around.  Now I warn others about the danger of credit card debt through my writing, and my hope is that the things that I share on my websites are doing some good for others that may be struggling financially.

When you are deep in debt, it is exceedingly difficult to build up any wealth of your own.

This is one of the primary reasons why 69 percent of all Americans have less than $1,000 in savings today.

In essence, more than two-thirds of the country is living paycheck to paycheck, and that is a recipe for disaster when the next major economic downturn in the U.S. strikes.

Overall, household debt in America has now reached a grand total of 12.3 trillion dollars.  When you break that down, it comes to $38,557 for every man, woman and child in the entire nation.

So for a family of five, your share of that total would be $192,785.

And remember, that is just household debt.  That total does not include any form of business debt or any form of government debt.

We truly are a “buy now, pay later” society.  We were the wealthiest and most prosperous nation on the entire planet, and previous generations handed us the keys to the greatest economic machine in world history, but that wasn’t good enough for us.

We always had to have more, more, more – and now we have accumulated more debt than any society in the history of the globe.

It is inevitable that this giant debt bubble is going to burst.  Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that.

What we experienced in 2008 was just a preview of the hard times that are coming.  The next recession is going to be even worse, and most economists are convinced that it will happen within the next four years no matter who is elected president in November.  The following comes from the Wall Street Journal via the Calculated Risk blog
Economists in The Wall Street Journal’s latest monthly survey of economists put the odds of the next downturn happening within the next four years at nearly 60%.
Just like the last time around, millions of those that are “living on the edge” financially will fall out of the middle class and into poverty when they lose their jobs.

Hopefully most of you that have been reading my work for an extended period of time have already been getting out of debt and have been building up a financial cushion.

Sadly, most of the country continues to act as if they are living in a pre-2008 world, and the economic wake up call that is coming is going to be incredibly painful for those that thought they could get away with being exceedingly reckless financially.

'In a Trump Administration, Israel Will Have a True, Loyal and Lasting Friend' - BOB ESCHLIMAN CHARISMA NEWS

'In a Trump Administration, Israel Will Have a True, Loyal and Lasting Friend'

BOB ESCHLIMAN  CHARISMA NEWS
In the past few days, there have been a number of high-profile slights of Israel that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump doesn't want anyone to think escaped his notice.
Last week, after his eulogy at the funeral of former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres—considered by many to be a "founding father" of the Jewish state—a reference to Jerusalem being part of Israel was stricken from the transcript of President Obama's speech. Then, on Thursday, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization determined the Temple Mount and Western Wall are "exclusively Muslim" holy sites.
Following the latest slap in the face for Israel, Trump said he had to respond. He issued an official statement Friday morning, denouncing both actions.
"I have said on numerous occasions that in a Trump administration, the United States will recognize Jerusalem as the one true capital of Israel," he said. "The United Nations' attempt to disconnect the State of Israel from Jerusalem is a one-sided attempt to ignore Israel's 3,000-year bond to its capital city, and is further evidence of the enormous anti-Israel bias of the UN.
Trump went on to call Jerusalem the "enduring capital of the Jewish people," noting that "an overwhelming majority of Congress" has already voted to recognize just that.
"Further, the decision by the Obama administration to strike the word 'Israel' after the word 'Jerusalem' in the President's prepared text was a capitulation to Israel's enemies, and a posthumous embarrassment to Shimon Peres, whose memory the president was attempting to honor," he added. "In a Trump administration, Israel will have a true, loyal and lasting friend in the United States of America."

Why Did Messiah Die On a Cross? - Brian Hennessy ISRAEL TODAY

Why Did Messiah Die On a Cross?

Friday, October 14, 2016 |  Brian Hennessy  ISRAEL TODAY
No doubt many Christians would quickly respond, “to atone for our sin.” Yes, but why on a cross?  There were other forms of execution available to the-powers-that-be in the first century. John the Baptist was beheaded. Stephen stoned.
The informed listener might volunteer, “Because that was barbaric Rome’s favorite way of putting criminal’s to death.” True, but I believe it’s safe to say the cross was central to God’s plans. So couldn’t Rome’s barbarism be seen as His way of insuring His son would die on that wooden stake?
The answer to the question is found in this verse: “Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us – for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.’” (Gal. 3:13/ Deut. 21:23).
For years that verse meant little to me. It was just some obscure connection to the Mosaic Law. But after a recent visit to the hills of Samaria where Moses had instructed Israel to read all the blessings and curses attached to the Law, I now have a much clearer understanding.
When Israel entered the land, Moses had told them to place six tribes before Mt. Gerazim and read all the blessings God would give them. The other six tribes were told to stand before Mt. Ebal and read all the curses with their punishments. The factor that determined whether Israel would be cursed or blessed rested on one mutually agreed upon stipulation - “Keep ALL the commandments which I command you today” (Deut 27:1).
In other words, Israel had to obey every jot and title if they wanted to be blessed. If they missed even one jot or tittle they’d be cursed. That was the agreement. As James, the Lord’s brother put it, “For whoever keeps the whole law and stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all”(James 2:10).
Yeshua, in his sermon on the Mount, raised the stakes even higher. He said we didn’t even have to carry out the violations to inherit the curses. If we lusted or coveted or grew angry in our heart we were equally as guilty (see Matt. 5:21-30). That’s how impossible it truly was for any man to keep the Law. And Israel demonstrated that in spades. Three horrific expulsions from the land testify to their complete inability to keep all the laws as prescribed under the Old Covenant and avoid the curses.
But then God knew all along that would happen. Because the Law in that form was merely a temporary covenant given “until the seed would come to whom the promises had been made” (Gal. 3:19).
When Yeshua came in the fullness of time, he was “born under the Law” (Gal 4:5). He lived his whole life under it and kept every jot and tittle. Not once did he sin. Yet the world nailed him to that wooden cross, which according to Deuteronomy 21:23, made him accursed of God. And in so doing, all the judgment that should rightfully fall upon Israel was legally transferred to this innocent man. He redeemed us, not only from the never-ending cycle of judgments for failure to obey the Law, but also the ultimate curse - eternal death.  You just had to believe it to receive it.
When Yeshua cried out, “It is finished,” it signaled that the demands of the Mosaic Law had been fulfilled. Its only purpose had been to reveal we had a genetic sin problem we couldn’t solve, which would lead us to Messiah. At his death, Israel immediately came into the New Covenant Messiah had inaugurated the night before, as promised through Jeremiah 600 years earlier. “And when He said, ‘a new covenant, He has made the first obsolete. And whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear” (Heb. 8:23).
As evidence of this, the veil of the Holy of Holies was ripped from top to bottom. That signified all who believed he was “the way” could now enter into the presence of God, righteous and forgiven. Before then, only the high priest on Yom Kippur was permitted that honor, and that via the blood of animals. But Yeshua had provided access through his own shed blood, bringing the Levitical priesthood and the man-made temple complex to a close - forever.
Today, God’s presence dwells among His people by His spirit. “For we are the temple of the living God” (2 Cor. 6:16). We are the living stones “growing into a temple in the Lord” (Eph. 2:2)  that will one day be brought together with the sons of Judah in a spiritual edifice more glorious than even Solomon’s temple. “For God does not dwell in houses made with human hands” (Acts. 7:4-50).
In fulfilling that former covenant, Yeshua not only redeemed us from the curses we had incurred, he made it possible for us to finally become truly “Torah observant”  – by simply loving God and our neighbor as our selves. “For he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law” (Rom. 13:8).
All Father God asks us to do now is to honor His son’s sacrifice on that tree and be Yeshua-Observant. And we will always walk righteously before Him.

Trump Supports Jewish Claim To Jerusalem, White House and Clinton Decry Resolution - Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Trump Supports Jewish Claim To Jerusalem, White House and Clinton Decry Resolution

“And it shall come to pass in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Yerushalayim.” Zechariah 12:9 (The Israel Bible™)
The UNESCO resolution erasing all connection between Judaism and Jerusalem generated strong reactions from all quarters, with the two presidential candidates stating unequivocally what their policy will be concerning Israel.
Donald Trump came out strongly against UNESCO’s vote, vowing to make Jerusalem Israel’s capital. In a Facebook post, the Republican presidential candidate vowed that, if elected, he would “recognize Jerusalem as the one true capital of Israel”. He also criticized President Barack Obama for striking out the world ‘Israel’ on the copy of his speech released to the media, reinforcing the official American policy that does not recognize Jerusalem as part of Israel.

Hillary Clinton opted to voice her disapproval via a spokesperson. Clinton’s foreign policy adviser, Laura Rosenberer expressed disappointment in the UNeSCO resolution in a statement:
“It’s Outrageous that UNESCO would deny the deep, historic connection between Judaism and the Temple Mount,” Rosenberer said. “As Secretary of State, Hillary fought to defend Israel against biased resolutions like there at the United Nations and other international organizations and would proudly do so again as President.”
Stay up to date with all your Prophecy News!
The White House expressed concern about the politicizing of the UNESCO vote. A senior official told the Jerusalem Post:
“The recurring highly politicized use of the UNESCO Executive Board meetings only further underscores the urgent need for the United States to restore its leadership at UNESCO, which has been considerably undercut since the United States ceased funding UNESCO in 2011,” the senior official said. “We will continue to explore with Congress options for resuming payment of our dues, which will allow the United States to play a full role in this organization going forward and advance UNESCO’s work on issues like Holocaust education and countering terrorist narratives.”
State Department Spokesman Mark Toner said, “One-sided anti-Israel resolutions have been a recurring challenge at UNESCO in recent years.”
On Monday, a bipartisan group of American Lawmakers wrote a letter to UNESCO condemning the upcoming vote as a “blatantly biased resolution”.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been highly critical of the UN recently but his cynical response to yesterdays resolution seems to indicate frustration.

Israel, Trump, Clinton Slam UN Over Temple Mount Resolution - Israel Today

Israel, Trump, Clinton Slam UN Over Temple Mount Resolution

Friday, October 14, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) on Thursday passed a resolution ignoring (some say denying) the Jewish connection to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, which it referred to only as the Al-Haram Al Sharif (the Noble Sanctuary), the name imposed on the sacred plateau after its conquest by Muslims in the 7th century CE.
That Israel and the Jewish people have a documented history at the site going back thousands of years before that was not at all acknowledged.
The resolution drew angry responses from Israel, the American government and both US presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
“To say that Israel has no connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall is like saying that China has no connection to the Great Wall of China or that Egypt has no connection to the pyramids,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netnayahu. “By this absurd decision, UNESCO has lost what little legitimacy it had left.”
Netanyahu said that those who refuse to take seriously the Bible and the mountains of archeological evidence uncovered by Israeli archeologists need only visit the Arch of Titus in Rome.
“On it one can see what the Romans brought back to Rome after they destroyed and looted the Second Temple on the Temple Mount 2,000 years ago. There, engraved on the Arch of Titus, is the seven-branched menorah that is the symbol of the Jewish People, and I remind you, is also the symbol of the Jewish state today,” the prime minister pointed out.
With Israel being such an important election issue in the US, Republican candidate Donald Trump also weighed in personally, calling the UNESCO decision “further evidence of the enormous anti-Israel bias of the UN.”
Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton did not respond personally, but her foreign policy adviser, Laura Rosenberer, told reporters, “It’s outrageous that UNESCO would deny the deep, historic connection between Judaism and the Temple Mount.”
The Palestinian Authority, which submitted the resolution, was naturally pleased by the vote. “Our peaceful agenda will not be derailed by propaganda, nor will our tolerance and adherence to international law be altered by fallacies and cynical spin,” read a PA Foreign Ministry statement.
A number of Israeli officials warned that by adopting the hostile narrative of the Palestinian leadership, the international community was actually making peace in the region less achievable.
For most Israelis, the major sticking point of the peace process is the Arabs’ refusal to accept that the Jewish people have a history, and therefore a legitimate claim, in this region.
