Hebrew Music Monday ✡ "The Dew of Hermon"

The dew of Hermon descends upon the mountains of Zion, for there the Lord, God, has commanded the blessing.

PSALMS (133:3)

k-tal kher-mon she-yo-rayd al ha-r'-ray tzee-on kee sham tzi-va a-do-nai et ha-b'-ra-kha khai-yim ad ha-o-lam

Today's Israel Inspiration

Our verse mentions dew טל / tal which is a common Biblical symbol of God’s bountiful blessings. Rain is another sign of God’s love for mankind - what is the difference between rain and dew? According to Jewish mysticism, while rain is a sign of God showering his abundant blessings upon us freely from above, dew which “rises” from below, is related to the divine blessings which are a result of our own efforts and achievements. Join Karmey Chesed (Vineyards of Kindness) in bringing blessings to the world with their selfless work in caring for the poor.

Red Heifer Found

A possible full red heifer found in New Jersey is attracting attention across the Jewish world as the cow is an extremely rare phenomenon. A red heifer is necessary to make ash for the ritual purification process to carry out services in the Jewish Temple.

Today's Israel Photo

Ilan Rosen's photo of Mount Hermon, the highest summit in Israel. Because of its height, Hermon captures a great deal of precipitation in this dry part of the world and is covered by snow for most of the year - and is even home to an Israeli ski resort! The melted snow forms streams which flow into the Jordan River.

Shalom!! I'm enjoying Israel365 from Spain!! At this very moment, I am reminded of when I was young and heard of the 6 Day War.  At that time many foreign people, who love Israel, understood that it was a miracle! May the Lord work so amazingly that peace will be restored in that precious and beloved Land! We are all one family, Rutie
Shalom,
