Go See 'In Our Hands,' Which Tells the Miracle Story of the Six-Day War

Strang Report, by Steve Strang, Founder of Charisma magazine
SPECIAL ENCORE PRESENTATION THURSDAY, JUNE 1 - IN THEATERS AGAIN
Fifty years ago, a miracle happened. Israel defeated their neighbors in what has become known as the Six-Day War and reunified Jerusalem for the first time in approximately 2,000 years.
Gordon Robertson of CBN had the vision to create a docudrama drawing from the actual journals, recordings and interviews with survivors of what happened in faithful hours. It is showing on Tuesday, May 23, in more than 700 theaters around the country—for one night only.
I had the privilege of screening the movie in advance, and it is excellent, which you can tell from the trailer here. It tells the story from the Jewish perspective and reveals a great deal of little-known but very interesting information, such as how the soldiers who took the Temple Mount were actually reservists rather than an elite military team. The film also gives some insight into the personalities of some of those involved.
I was pleased to interview Robertson on my "Strang Report" podcast, which you can listen to below. He talks about how the Six-Day War is a fulfillment of Luke 21:24 (MEV), "And Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
In 1967, Gordon was only 9 when his father, Pat Robertson—who has been a strong supporter for Israel for decades and is a real student of Bible prophecy—sat the family down and told them the significance of what was happening in the Six-Day War.
On our calendar, the anniversary of the beginning of The Six-Day War is June 5, but because the Jewish calendar is different, it is actually May 23 when the Jews celebrate Jerusalem Day worldwide. This significant day, Yom Yerushalayim, is the day the movie is being released.
President Donald Trump had planned a major speech from Masada—the site in the Judaean wilderness where Jews fought the Romans until the last person died. Instead, the speech will come at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem (the location hadn't changed when the podcast was recorded). This is the first international trip of his Trump's presidency, and he obviously picked this date because of the significance to the Jewish people in order to make a point.
Sadly, the Obama administration almost seemed more sympathetic toward Israel's Arab enemies than it did to Israel. In the closing days of Obama's administration, the United States abstained from vetoing a United Nations resolution that condemned Israel for "occupying" the West Bank, which includes East Jerusalem.
As Gordon points out in the podcast, the Six-Day War is more than politics. It was God Almighty who prophesied in His Word that this war would happen. For Christians, it is also significant because the area being disputed is also the sight of the Holy Sepulchre, the Garden of Gethsemane and the City of David.
While the prophecy in Luke 21:24 was fulfilled in 1967, Gordon explains there is another great prophecy—that all the nations of the world will assemble against Jerusalem (Zech. 14:2). This is something that is obviously very serious and, as a strong supporter of Israel, I hate to think the United States would ever align with the enemies of Israel to oppose that country.
I plan to personally invite some Jewish friends to see the movie with me next Tuesday, and I urge you to do the same. In fact, you can get group tickets by visiting inourhands1967.com.
I congratulate Gordon Robertson and his team on an excellent project. The timing is incredible. My hope is that this movie will help reveal to those who may be on the fence regarding the Israel-Arab conflict how God's hand is on the nation of Israel and on the events of 1967.
Please share this on social media as well as with members of your church and others in your circle of influence, and let's pack out those theaters on Tuesday, May 23.

CBN's New 'SuperBook' Sparks Salvation Through Animation for Thousands - STEVE STRANG CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Superbook
(CBN)
Strang Report, by Steve Strang, Founder of Charisma magazine
One of the most exciting partnerships we've done lately is working with CBN on a brand-new version of SuperBook. My sons grew up watching the animated stories about the Bible originally done in 1983. Now CBN has updated them and they are being distributed on television around the world, especially in Southeast Asia.
Recently, Gordon Robertson was in our offices with some of his staff to discuss SuperBook because we are distributing the videos in the retail trade. While CBN could fulfill videos to its partners, it recognized it did not have the expertise to do it at the retail level. Our Charisma House team was able to get it into Family Christian stores and in many other Christian stores, as well as on amazon.com, CBD.com and other internet retailers.
When I have leaders visiting the office, I like to record a podcast for my "Strang Report." It was fun to interview Gordon, who has much more broadcast experience than me, about this project and to learn more about the background of SuperBook. He tells how people can learn the plan of salvation through animation, especially in nations that know little or nothing about the gospel. It's also great for discipling people.
steve-gordon-studioYou'll enjoy hearing Gordon and me talk about how children learn from SuperBook and even start Bible studies, along with other interesting stories.
So listen to the podcast and then subscribe to hear other podcasts.
Gordon tells how to get the free SuperBookBible App available on Kindle, the Google store, i-Tunes and other platforms. You'll get the first 13 episodes and a lot of other things.
And, if you'd like to have the episodes on DVD to have at home to play again and again for your children or grandchildren, you can buy them wherever Christian videos are sold or online.

How to Live When Christians Are Seen as Extremists - CBN News

How to Live When Christians Are Seen as Extremists
06-03-2016

Christians were once seen as a positive force in American society. That's changing.
Today, many Americans label Christians as irrelevant and extreme.
Not so long ago, these people were seen as the extremists: rifle-brandishing ISIS militants, the Paris and Brussels attackers, the Boston marathon bombers.
Today, it's increasingly people who wear the label "Christian."
Do you believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven? You're an extremist.
Have you ever prayed for someone you don't know? Extremist.
Do you believe marriage is meant to be between one man and one woman? Extremist.
Many people of faith are finding it harder than ever to live out their convictions. They feel as though religion is being pushed to the margins.
Best-selling authors David Kinnaman and Gabe Lyons say don't despair, it's still possible to be a faithful Christian in the public square.
Kinnaman talks about how to live as a Christian in today's increasingly hostile cultural environment, on The 700 Club.

CBN Docu-Drama 'The Hope' Sets the Record Straight on Israel - CBN News

CBN Docu-Drama 'The Hope' Sets the Record Straight on Israel
CBN News 03-22-2016

WASHINGTON - Christian Broadcasting Network CEO Gordon Robertson unveiled a new CBN-produced docu-drama, "The Hope: The Rebirth of Israel," at this year's annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference.
Faith leaders and politicians were treated to a detailed cinematic account of the founding of the modern state Israel. Accompanied by beautiful cinematography, "The Hope" gives viewers a glimpse into the 50 years before the inception of Israel through the stories of those who lived it.
Robertson took the time to explain why CBN was compelled to produce the story.
"The reason why we did it is complicated. I really at the outset wanted to educate the Christian community in America that supports Israel, and sometimes supports Israel without any knowledge at all of how Israel came to be and wanted to correct that," Gordon explained.
Watch Gordon Robertson explain why CBN filmed "The Hope."
"But the more I got into it, the more I decided that the world needed to see this and needed to be educated -- particularly in light of what is currently going on with the BDS Movement to try to boycott Israel," he continued.
"The more people are educated on how Israel actually came to be, what are the historical facts, the better able they are to argue against BDS," Robertson said.
"The Hope" has been broadcasted all over the world and is available online at The Hope: The Rebirth of Israel.
AIPAC took place March 20-22.

Is Christian Persecution Reaching Biblical Proportions? - Franklin Graham on 700 Club

Is Christian Persecution Reaching Biblical Proportions?

Evangelist Franklin Graham says President Obama is sympathetic to Islam and is giving Muslim groups access to influence U.S. foreign policy, which eventually will lead to persecution of Christians and Jews in America. In an exclusive interview on CBN’s 700 Club Interactive program, Graham told host Gordon Robertson that the president’s upbringing is the reason he favors Islam.

“We’re going to see persecution in this country because our president is very sympathetic to Islam and the reason I say that, Gordon, is because his father was a Muslim, gave him a Muslim name, Barack Hussein Obama. His mother married another Muslim man, they moved to Indonesia, he went to Indonesian schools. So, growing up his frame of reference and his influence as a young man was Islam. It wasn’t Christianity, it was Islam,” he said.

Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the Christian relief agency Samaritan’s Purse, has been outspoken in his criticism of President Obama. He said the president has opened the doors of the White House to Muslim groups who are shaping foreign policy, including how the administration views the war on terror and especially U.S. relations with Israel.

“There are Muslims that have access to him in the White House. Our foreign policy has a lot of influence now, from Muslims. We see the Prime Minister of Israel being snubbed by the President and by the White House and by the Democrats and it’s because of the influence of Islam. They hate Israel and they hate Christians, and so the storm is coming I believe Gordon,” the evangelist said.

Graham agreed it was President Bush who first sought out Muslim groups for advice after the terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001.

“After 9-11 the Bush Administration began to allow Muslims to come into various governmental agencies to advise us how to respond to Muslims and how to respond to Islam. …What’s happened is you now have radical Islamists who are advising various levels of government and it’s going to get worse and nobody seems to be alarmed about it. Nobody is saying anything about this and we as Christians are going to lose.”

Viewers can see the full interview on the 700 Club Interactive on Monday, March 2 on the ABC Family at 9:30 am EDT.
