Thousands came to Together 2016 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Saturday to celebrate that "Jesus changes everything." Emergency Services shut down the event early, however, after medical personnel became overwhelmed with the number of people--more than 400--who were overcome by extreme heat.
Nick Hall of PULSE, which planned the event, tweeted: "This event has never been about coming to the Mall. It's about sending a generation out from the mall to share Jesus."
Hall shared a video on Facebook saying that they were "completely exhausted" but "excited at all that God did."
As for shutting down early, he said they wanted to continue but "just felt like the right thing to do was to show respect and try to listen." He also pointed out that it wasn't a coincidence that the event ended early, encouraging attendees to be witnesses for Christ.
"There might be somebody that needs Jesus that you're supposed to go talk to. ...  God is the one that leaves the 99 to go after the one," he said.
The event targeted millennials and drew many well-known speakers, from Pope Francis who appeared via video to apologist Ravi Zacharias to singer Michael W. Smith.
"I see people as far as my eye can see," hip-hop artist Lecrae tweeted. "I see people who should be referred to as brothers and sisters...Let's not be a religious community that walks by people who are struggling and hurting. If we're not a healing salve, we contribute to the pain."
Hall is already looking to the future.
"People are asking for Together events across the country and around the world," he said.
Rather than look at Together 2016 as a single-day event, Hall encouraged people to get the Together app, download the "7 Days With Jesus" reading plan and start prayer groups as they reset their lives with Jesus.

Pope Francis 'Prayer' Video Smacks of 'One World Religion' - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA NEWS

Pope Francis waves as he arrives to lead a special Jubilee audience in Saint Peter's square at the Vatican

Pope Francis 'Prayer' Video Smacks of 'One World Religion'

Jennifer LeClaire is now sharing her reflections and revelations through Walking in the Spirit. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Many people think Pope Francis is the Antichrist, or at least the false prophet. Videos like this one don't do him any favors.
Although no reasonable person would argue against living in peace in a world of conflicting religions, the pontiff takes this ideal to a new extreme in a video message illustrating his heartfelt prayer request.
"Most of the planet's inhabitants declare themselves believers. This should lead to a dialogue among religions," he said in Italian. "We should not stop praying for it and collaborating with those who think differently."
Of course, dialogue is one thing. Compromising the tenets of Christianity is altogether different.
The video then shows quick shots of people stating their religious convictions.
A lama declares, "I have confidence in Buddha."
A rabbi confesses, "I believe in God."
A Catholic priest declares, "I believe in Jesus Christ."
An Islamic leader shares, "I believe in God, Allah."
Notably, no evangelicals or Pentecostals were in the mix.
Disturbing video footage shows the pope receiving a demonic statue from a Buddhist and bending down to pray according to Muslim tradition.
"Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways," he says. "In this crowd, in this range of religions, there is only one certainty we have for all: We are all children of God."
Here's the problem: You can seek God in many ways, but there's only one way to the Father. There is only one way to meet God, and His name is Jesus Christ. To even hint at anything else causes confusion at best and deceives many at worst.

His Holiness Pope Francis, Israel's ninth President Shimon Peres, Chairman of the International Board of the Friends of Zion (FOZ) museum in Jerusalem and Dr. Mike Evans the Museum's Founder made a joint statement promoting peace and calling for an end to acts of violence in the name of religion. Peres also, presented his Holiness Pope Francis with a unique piece of art from the Friends of Zion Founders gallery. The piece depicts a dreamlike biblical scene of Abraham answering to the high calling on a backset with the Hebrew word Hinneni meaning "Here am I."
Peres and Evans also shared the story of Irena Sendler, one of the heroes depicted in the museum. Sendler, a young Catholic nurse, smuggled approximately 2,500 Jewish children out of the Warsaw Ghetto and then provided them with false identity documents and shelter outside the Ghetto. In 1965, Sendler was recognized by the State of Israel as one of the Righteous Among the Nations. Dr. Mike Evens, founder of the FOZ museum, spoke of the importance of friendships between all people and nations, which is even more important today with raising anti-Semitism worldwide.
The FOZ museum is one of the newest attractions in the very heart of Jerusalem inviting visitors from all over the world to experience the courageous stories of those who stood by in support of the Jewish people and the state of Israel in the last 200 years. Magnificently told, the museum uses groundbreaking technology, allowing visitors to experience the unfolding story as though stepping back in time. From 3D presentation and giant touch screens to projection mapping on unique sculptures and complex roto scope animations that transform live-action video footage into a painted media.
The heroes presented in the museum include U.S. President Harry Truman, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Prof. George W. Bush, Orde Wingate and Righteous Among the Nations such as Oskar Schindler, Raoul Wallenberg, Irena Sendler and the Ten Boom family, who risked their lives to save Jews persecuted throughout the world.
The Friends of Zion Museum opened in Jerusalem last September and has set itself a goal of serving as a bridge, connecting people from around the world and motivating more communities to come out in support of Israel.

Mike Bickle Meets With Pope Francis to Discuss Jesus - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA NEWS

Some of the most recognizable names in the charismatic movement had a private meeting with Pope Francis on Friday. Mike Bickle, Che Ahn, Kris Vallotton, Stacey Campbell and dozens of other Protestant leaders from North America and Europe gathered at the Vatican.
According to Bickle, director of IHOP in Kansas City, the purpose of the meeting was to engage in an on-going dialogue about the pontiff's views on Jesus and Christianity.
"The meeting lasted a couple of hours. They gave us the opportunity to ask questions. The meeting was very warm and personal," Bickle told Charisma News. "I asked him about his views on the serious error and deception of universalism that claims that 'all paths lead to God' and other religions being saved without receiving the grace of God that only comes through Jesus. He assured me that he believes that Jesus is the only way of salvation."
Bickle asked him again pointedly, "Is Jesus the only way of salvation?" He described Francis as "very strong" in his agreement on Christ as the Savior of the World and emphasized his love for Jesus and the Scripture.
What about the pontiff's controversial statement about Muslims and members of other world religions claiming "children of God" status? Bickle was told Francis was referring to all humans being children of the creator and children of Adam not "children of redemption."
"The verse that was given to me was Matthew 5:44 describing the Father giving sun and rain to the just and unjust," says Bickle. "He is unhappy with the views of some of the Catholic leadership who do not honor or value the faith of Protestant believers. He believes that a close relationship with Jesus is the only hope for the nations."

Did Pope Francis Really Take Another Step Toward a One World Religion? - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

Despite Pope Francis' literal embracing of a top Islamic cleric and declaration that their "Meeting is the message," his top aid said Christians must apply Matthew 28 to everyone, including Muslims.
"We have a mission to convert all non-Christian religions' people [except] Judaism," Cardinal Kurt Koch said. "And what is very important for us is that we can make mission only with a credible witness and without any proselytism."
The Jews are God's chosen people, he continued. Christians should view them as a "mother" figure. But Islam and Christianity are vastly different.
"I don't think that we have the same relationship with Islam that we have with Judaism.

"It is very clear that we can speak about three Abrahamic religions but we cannot deny that the view of Abraham in the Jewish tradition and the Christian tradition and the Islamic tradition is not the same. In this sense we have only with Jewish people this unique relationship that we have not with Islam."
Koch's comments were reported the day after Pope Francis welcomed Sheik Ahmed el-Tayyib to the Vatican.
"If you have not see this video, it is one of the creepiest things that I have ever seen on YouTube. It has become exceedingly clear that Pope Francis believes that all major religions are completely valid paths to the same God, and there is virtually no uproar over this," Charisma News' Michael Snyder says of the Pope's actions. "This just shows how late in the game we really are. The one world religion that was prophesied nearly 2,000 years ago in the book of Revelation is starting to come to life, and we are witnessing the events of the last days begin to unfold right in front of our eyes."

Pope Francis Defends Jihad, Says Christianity Has Similar Roots in Idea of Conquest By Abra Forman - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Pope Francis Defends Jihad, Says Christianity Has Similar Roots in Idea of Conquest

“And it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the horn, that the people shouted with a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6:20 (The Israel Bible™)
Islam and Christianity share the “same idea of conquest”, and for that reason, Islam should not be viewed as a threat, said Pope Francis in a newspaper interview this week.
“It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam,” he conceded to the French Catholic newspaper La Croix. “However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.”
Ostensibly, the Pope was drawing a parallel between the Islamic “conquest” known as jihad, a holy war or struggle waged against infidels, and Christian missionizing.

The comparison was part of a larger conversation about the increasingly desperate refugee crisis currently facing Europe. Pope Francis has been an outspoken voice on the issue of Arab refugees who seek asylum, encouraging governments to take in migrants and “integrate” them into western societies despite widespread concerns that the largely Muslim populations might harbor extremist or terrorist elements.
Francis has repeatedly argued in favor of coexistence, peace, and tolerance in all areas of life but especially towards Muslims. He set his own powerful example last month when he brought a dozen refugees from the Greek island of Lesbos back to Rome with him after a diplomatic visit.
The Pontiff said that the Western attempt to “export” democracy to Arab countries is partly to blame for the collapse of central control and rise in Islamic extremism in Middle Eastern states.
Westerners must also consider the issue of cultural relativism, he added, echoing a common left-wing sentiment.
“In the face of Islamic terrorism, it would be better to question ourselves about the way in an overly Western model of democracy has been exported to countries such as Iraq, where a strong government previously existed,” he noted. “Or in Libya, where a tribal structure exists. We cannot advance without taking these cultures into account.”
“Ultimately, coexistence between Christians and Muslims is still possible,” the Pope insisted.

The key is integration, he stated. “The worst form of welcome is to ‘ghettoize’ [the migrants]. On the contrary, it’s necessary to integrate them,” he said. He pointed to the example of the perpetrators of Belgium’s horrific terror attack, saying that though they were naturalized Belgian citizens and children of migrants, they “grew up in a ghetto.”
The leader of the Catholic Church mentioned London’s newly appointed Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan, as a model for positive integration. The mayor took his oath of office in a cathedral and made his first act as mayor attendance at a Holocaust memorial ceremony.

However, Khan may not have been the best example, as he also has a past of affiliation with terrorists, most notably Zacharias Moussaoui, an al-Qaeda member who was one of the perpetrators of 9/11. Khan, a lawyer, defended Moussaoui after the massive New York terror attack. Khan also is known to have ties to a number of Muslim extremists.
Perhaps aware of the contradiction of idealizing such a man, Pope Francis added that Khan’s election reminded him of his predecessor Pope Gregory the Great. Gregory, who reigned from 590-604 C.E, “negotiated with the people known as barbarians”, said Francis. Those “barbarians” were later integrated into Christendom.
Francis also suggested that integration of Muslim immigrants could help boost Europe’s falling birthrates.
While acknowledging that Europe is rooted in Christianity, he warned Europeans against taking a “triumphalist” and “vengeful” nationalistic view of these roots.
“Yes, Europe has Christian roots and it is Christianity’s responsibility to water those roots. But this must be done in a spirit of service as in the washing of the feet,” he said, invoking a Christian principle which he has championed in his years as Pope. Indeed, in March the Pope himself washed the feet of Muslim migrants, proclaiming them “children of the same God.”

Patriarch Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow, Prophesies Downfall of Europe Over Persecuted Christians - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

Patriarch Kirill

Patriarch Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow, Prophesies Downfall of Europe Over Persecuted Christians

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Fresh off his meeting with Pope Francis, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill prophesied the downfall of Europe if Christian persecution persists.
"Europe should not lose its Christian roots: de-Christianization of Europe is dangerous not only from the point of view of discrimination against Christians, it is also dangerous from the spiritual and cultural points of view," Kirill said, according to TASS
Kirill and Pope Francis met for the first time last week, bridging a millennium-long divide between the Orthodox and Catholic Churches, to highlight the atrocities of Christian persecution.
The leaders of two of the largest churches in the world issued a joint declaration to draw attention to the victims of anti-Christian violence.
"Our gaze must firstly turn to those regions of the world where Christians are victims of persecution. In many countries of the Middle East and North Africa, whole families, villages and cities of our brothers and sisters in Christ are being completely exterminated," the two said in a joint statement.
"Their churches are being barbarously ravaged and looted, their sacred objects profaned, their monuments destroyed. It is with pain that we call to mind the situation in Syria, Iraq and other countries of the Middle East, and the massive exodus of Christians from the land in which our faith was first disseminated and in which they have lived since the time of the apostles, together with other religious communities," the statement continues.
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe ruled earlier this year the Islamic State persecution of Christians is, indeed, genocide, which is considered the "crime of crimes."
But as the persecution spreads from the Middle East to portions of Europe, Kirill and Francis agree the hope for the future of the church rests in today's Christian youth.
"Today, in a particular way, we address young Christians. You, young people, have the task of not hiding your talent in the ground (Matt 25:25), but of using all the abilities God has given you to confirm Christ's truth in the world, incarnating in your own lives the evangelical commandments of the love of God and of one's neighbor," according to the joint resolution.
"Do not be afraid of going against the current, defending God's truth, to which contemporary secular norms are often far from conforming," Francis and Kirill said.

Why Mexicans Are Making a Mass Exodus From Catholicism - CBN NEWS CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Why Mexicans Are Making a Mass Exodus From Catholicism

Pope Francis is visiting Mexico, a country that has been a stronghold of Catholicism for centuries. But a growing number of Mexicans are leaving the Catholic faith, and the pope is hoping to use his visit to convince them to stay faithful to the church.
Sara Granados is among those who have left the faith. She was born into a devout Catholic family, and by 17 she had already fulfilled all the required religious rites. But soon she realized that wasn't getting her closer to God.
"After 17 years old, I still had emptiness in my heart," Sara explained. "I had no desire to live and for me, it was better to die than to live. A friend of my mother told me, 'I'm taking you to this place.' She never mentioned church, but she brought me to church. That day the pastor was preaching and he said a word that touched my heart."
Thousands of Mexicans like Sara are embracing evangelical Christianity.
In 1970, 96 percent of Mexicans claimed to be Catholic. According to a 2010 Mexican national census, that figure has dropped to less than 85 percent.
One reason for the decline? Evangelicals leaders are spiritually closer to their flock.
Surveys have found an average of one Catholic priest for every 6,000 Catholics in Mexico, compared to one evangelical pastor for every 200 followers.
"The work of the evangelical Christian church in evangelism has been successful in past few decades. Many have come to hear a different message that brings peace, harmony, blessing, and salvation to human beings," Pastor Benjamin Lomeli of Iglesia El Buen explained.
Other reasons Mexicans have left Catholicism include evangelical outreach and the tarnished image of the Catholic Church.
Catholic Church spokesman Father Jose de Jesus told CBN News that Catholic Church leaders "... must recognize that certain scandals have caused many to be disappointed by the church and to seek a different spirituality."
With a record number of people here now embracing evangelical Christianity, Pope Francis is hoping his visit will re-energize his flock and keep Mexicans faithful to the Catholic Church.

The Prophetic Meeting of Major World Leaders No One's Talking About - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

The Prophetic Meeting of Major World Leaders No One's Talking About

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Pope Francis met with the leader of Iran in a meeting Breaking Israel News dubbed the prophetic fulfillment of Esau and Ishmael uniting against Israel.
"For Bible believers, these and similar news items that reflect increasing cooperation between the Arab world and the West should be viewed as fulfillment of ancient Jewish prophecy," BNI's Rivkah Lambert Adler writes.
"Jewish tradition contains a 2,000-year-old prophecy that the children of Esau (today's Western nations) and the children of Ishmael (today's Arab nations) will unite against the Jewish people at the end of days," Adler continues.
According to the New York TimesPope Francis met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to encourage Rouhani to find political solutions for the various Middle Eastern conflicts.
Pope Francis also praised Iranian Nuclear negotiations.
"In hope we entrust to the merciful Lord the framework recently agreed to in Lausanne, that it may be a definitive step toward a more secure and fraternal world," the pope said, according to Bloomberg News.
Though Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has virtually moved on from his vehement protests against the Iran Nuclear deal, he still voices many concerns.
"Let's block Iran's other aggression in the region, because they're doing everything. They're trying to encircle Israel with a noose of death," Netanyahu said, according to CNN. "They're sending weapons to the Houthis. They're in Iraq. They're in Afghanistan. They're all over the place. In Yemen, of course. Let's bolster those forces to stand up to Iran's aggression in the region, and none is stronger, none is more reliable than Israel."
Yet Iran continues to mock Israel, threatening to rain down 80,000 missiles on the Jewish nation.
But with the pope supporting Iran nuclear negotiations and the recognition of the Palestine State, people like Adler and end-time expert and author Rabbi Pinchas Winston believe it's traditional Jewish prophecies coming to pass. Adler says the alliance was forged in the book of Genesis.
Winston explains the modern application: "Many in the West, especially in Europe, have overlooked the 'sins' of the Arab world while ignoring the virtues of the Jewish state. They also either make up Israeli flaws or overexaggerate smaller ones.
"In short, they have confused David for Goliath and Goliath for David, with little or no remorse at all. For believers, this is nothing short of a miraculous but disturbing fulfillment of prophecy and a serious wake-up call," Winston says.
