Albert Einstein Wanted to Know 'God's Thoughts' - So What Does God Think About Israel?
Oct. 16, 2017 CBN News Tzippe Barrow
JERUSALEM, Israel – Twentieth century physicist Albert Einstein, perhaps best known for his theories on relativity (E = mc2), once said, "I want to know God's thoughts; the rest are details."
Thankfully, God's thoughts have been recorded for us in the canon of Scripture: 66 books, written by 40 ent authors over a period of 1,500 years. Not one word is irrelevant or haphazard. The more we study it, the more profound its life-changing message.
But setting aside time to study the Word can be enormously challenging in today's busy world. Many verses speak of His covenant with Israel.
"But I am the Lord your God Who divided the sea whose waves roared, the Lord of hosts is His name. And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth and say to Zion, 'You are My people.'" (Isaiah 51:15-16)
It's been said we inherit the world's system by default, but understanding God's point of view takes more effort on our part. It comes by meditating on His Word and allowing it to reshape our thinking and draw us closer to Him. When we see people and events through the Word, it's a whole new perspective – very different than what's found in the media, especially when it comes to Israel.
"Remember these, O Jacob and Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me! I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you." (Isaiah 44:21-22)
In today's tumultuous world, there seems to be more bad news than good. Media vies for our attention, often capitalizing on the bad news.
That reality is never more evident than in stories about Israel. There's no lack of explanations as to why Israel and the Jewish people have been targeted throughout the centuries. Yet despite sincere efforts by many, that predisposition doesn't appear to be diminishing.
So we're left with a choice. We can believe the media or we can believe God.
If we believe God will bring to fruition all that He's purposed, then we can bring everything before Him in prayer and trust the outcome to Him. Our challenge is to want His will to be done, His Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven.
God set Israel apart from the rest of the nations and He will fulfill everything He's promised His covenant land and people.
"Hear the word of the Lord, O nations and declare it in the isles afar off and say, 'For the Lord has redeemed Jacob and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he.' Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, streaming to the goodness of the Lord – for wheat and new wine and oil, for the young of the flock and the herd; their souls shall be like a well-watered garden and they shall sorrow no more at all. (Jeremiah 31:10-12)

Prophetic Signals Hidden in the Feast of Tabernacles - KELLY MCDONALD, JR. CHARISMA NEWS

Jews pray with lulav during Sukkot at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. (Kkl-jnf photo archive via the PikiWiki - Israel free image collection project)

Standing With Israel

The Feast of Tabernacles is an eight-day celebration every fall. This year it is from Oct. 4 (at sunset) through Oct. 12 (at sunset). It is also called Sukkot, which is a Hebrew word referring to the temporary dwellings the Israelites lived in on their way to the Promised Land (sukkah is the singular form). During this time of the year, the Jewish people build a sukkah and rejoice.
The Feast of Tabernacles has past and future meanings for believers in Christ. First of all, Jesus came down to earth and lived in a tabernacle! "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). The Greek word translated as "taberna" is skenoo, and it can also refer to the sukkah. Christ came down and dwelt in a human body so that humanity could have fellowship with God. Jesus actually celebrated this festival while He was on earth (see John 7).
This festival also has a prophetic meaning. During the Feast of Tabernacles, we also celebrate with expectation the coming millennial reign of Jesus on earth! "Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years" (Rev. 20:6). Micah 4:1-4 tells us more about this glorious time:
Then it will be that in the latter days, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as head of the mountains, and will be lifted up above the hills; and people will stream to it. And many nations will come and say, "Come, that we might go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob, that He might teach us His ways, and that we might walk in His paths." For from Zion will go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Then He will judge between many peoples and mediate for mighty nations far and wide; they will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, and they will no longer train for war. Then each man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken (Mic. 4:1-4).
Micah 4:2 says that the Law will go out from Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Zion is the church (see Heb. 12:22-24). This shows us that the kingdom of God will be ruled by spiritual authority (Zion) based from a physical location (Jerusalem). These verses go on to say that many nations will come and ask you and me (His children) to teach them God's ways.
Once Satan is removed from earth, which is the final prophetic fulfillment of atonement, then the whole world will have a desire for God's ways (see also Isa. 2:1-5). In Micah 4:3, the Lord mentions how we will settle disputes for many nations. The nations of the world are going to see peaceful mediation as a more attractive alternative than going to war. They will beat their swords into plowshares. There will be no standing armies in the millennium!
Every person will have their own vine and fig tree. In other words, every person will be provided for. The millennial reign of Christ will be the greatest time of prosperity that has ever existed on planet Earth. No one will have the thought to try to take from someone else because everyone will have plenty! There will be no fear that someone else will take from you, and no fear that you will be taken from. A world without fear—imagine that! Satan will not be there to stir strife between mankind.
These are wonderful prophecies from God for us to meditate on during this joyous time of the year. Happy Feast of Tabernacles!

Conclusion Of the Parable Of Two Trains - Brian Hennessy ISRAEL TODAY

Conclusion Of the Parable Of Two Trains

Friday, June 02, 2017 |  Brian Hennessy  ISRAEL TODAY
As I shared in the two previous articles, I see this “parable” unfolding right before our eyes today. I said the Scriptures revealed that God’s ultimate plan was to unite passengers from the two trains, the Jewish Train and the Gospel Train, when both pulled into the Jerusalem station after their centuries-long journey. Which I believe they have. And that Yeshua was about to get off here and we are to follow.
Sadly, Scripture also reveals that many on the Gospel Train won’t get off. They will remain seated and then suddenly find themselves heading off into the outer darkness… where “there’ll be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matt 8:5). Which will show they never were his followers to begin with. Or if they were, they have been deceived.
How could this happen?
Over the centuries, conductors had arisen on the Gospel Train who began to spiritualize the train’s purpose. The passengers were not told of the Jewish roots of their faith. Nor encouraged to believe “they were Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise” (Gal. 3:29). Nor told of the glorious reunion in the promised land at journey’s end. But instead were taught the train ride itself was a new religion for Gentile believers, and that our final destination was Heaven. Even the gospel message was altered. And soon many were allowed to board the train who did not even know Yeshua.
Yet God’s spirit was still drawing those who were His to Messiah in every generation. And the train traveled on.
Things on the Jewish Train, however, were quite different. Those passengers never lost sight of their identity or their train’s ultimate destination. They never stopped hoping that “next year” it would arrive again in their beloved Jerusalem. They just couldn’t see how it was possible. So when it miraculously arrived in 1948 they were as amazed as the rest of the world. But the idea they would one day merge with the passengers on the other train was inconceivable. They remembered all too well previous encounters with what had become called “the Christian Train.” And those memories were painful.
But this is a new day. God has been hard at work in the hearts of many of Yeshua’s true followers to love and support Israel. And to repent of the times we did not intercede to help those on the Jewish Train when we could have. As a result, this recent unsolicited outpouring of Christian love has caused many Jews to have a change of heart about the people on the Gospel Train. And a new foundation of trust and good will has been laid to prepare us all for the coming reunion.
Although many lovers of Zion on the Gospel Train are now ready to disembark, the doors haven’t officially opened. God is giving all his regathered sheep time to awaken and realize this is our last stop. And to “come out of her My people” (Rev. 18:4). So, until the doors open we must wait. When they do, I believe it will be a divinely orchestrated event (Isa. 52:10-12) that will leave no doubt in anyone’s mind who Messiah is. And who Israel is.
But until then we are instructed to “take up the full armor of God, so that we will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm” (Eph. 6:13). But above all, be ready!
The doors will open right on time.

Analysis of Trump Visit to Israel - Ron Cantor Messiah's Mandate

Analysis of Trump Visit to Israel

Ron Cantor —  May 25, 2017
As Force One took off Wednesday from Ben Gurion Airport, ending the President’s 28-hour whirlwind trip to Israel, Israelis were not sure what to make of his trip. After visiting the center of Islam, Saudi Arabia, and the heart of Judaism, Jerusalem, he headed to the Vatican to meet with the Pope.

The Trump Doctrine

With two thirds of his trip concluded, we are beginning to see what may soon be dubbed, the Trump Doctrine. It is worlds apart from the Obama Doctrine. Obama’s first foreign trips were nicknamed the apology tour where he apologized for U.S. arrogance in Cairo, Turkey, and France—to Arabic Newspapers and before the Turkish parliament. He even apologized for the CIA, to the CIA.
He shunned Egypt after the secular military overthrew the radical Islamic Muslim Brotherhood. He gave Saudi Arabia the cold shoulder. And then, the unthinkable—he made a peace deal with the notoriously dishonest, state-sponsor of terrorism, Iran. A deal that was criticized by not only the right, but also by many on the left, as being short-sided and extremely naïve.
President Trump is strengthening ties with natural allies, rather than trying to make friends with those sworn to our destruction. He had an extremely successful visit in Saudi Arabia where he signed a $350 billion arms deal with the Sunni stronghold. Not only is this good for the U.S. economy, but it sends a clear signal to Iran that they should be careful.

Symbols over Words

Next, he flew to Israel where he prayed at the Western Wall. This was a powerfully symbolic way of saying Jerusalem is the capital of Israel without actually saying; Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. In other words, he wasn’t there to connect with the Dome of the Rock. Personally, I would have preferred him to be more vocal in his support of Israel and to have announced the move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem—as he promised. Nevertheless, he is the first sitting U.S. president to pray at the Western Wall.

Let me clear—announcing the move of the embassy would not have been a wise move politically, but it would have been the right move biblically. President Trump has never been a particularly religious man—though some claim he has had a recent conversion. No doubt, he has reached out to many Christian leaders for advice, but based on his actions this week, he sees the alliance of the United States and Israel as strategic, not covenantal.

A New Coalition

President Trump is trying to build a coalition between moderate Arab states such as Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. I must state that none of the states are free of the most radical elements within Islam, but the governments are seeking stability in the region. Saudi Arabia is hardly a secular state and could be labeled as the father of modern radical Islam (Osama Bin Laden, September 11th terrorists), but its government is not seeking (as is ISIS and Iran), a caliphate—a government led by a successor to Mohamed. Internally, they are stuck in the seventh century, but are not aggressors to other nations.
Iran must be stopped. Syria must be stopped. Assad cannot be a long-term solution nor can ISIS. Lebanon is weak, and more and more is dominated by Hezbollah. Hezbollah is both a political party in Lebanon (with one third of parliament) and they have their own army apart from the Lebanese Army. This is extremely destabilizing. Iraq has moved closer to Iran and further from the U.S.
Under former President Obama, the U.S. abandoned Iraq, pulled out our troops too early and allowed ISIS to fill in the vacuum. President Trump’s plan is to build a partnership between the Saudis, Egypt and Jordan, and the Jewish State, Israel.
Even after writing this I saw that this was indeed Trump’s plan was to build good will between Israel and her historic enemies. A Trump official said, “the first step [toward peace] … is to bring relationships that are warm and strong privately and bring them more public and also set forth a common set of principles that everyone wants to abide by.”
This is most likely why, in his seven public appearances here in Israel, he did not mention Jerusalemsettlements, the embassy or a Palestinian state—all trigger issues that would cause tension in building these relationships. I get it. But when will be a good time to tell the Arabs that the U.S. is recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital? When would be a time that it would not be a possible deal breaker? And yet, Netanyahu is not going to compromise on Jerusalem. Sharing at Jerusalem Day celebrations, he declared:
“The Temple Mount and the Western Wall will forever remain under Israeli sovereignty. The correction of a historical injustice that was achieved by the heroism of our fighters 50 years ago will stand forever.”
The question is, where will President Trump—who has many voices counseling him on this—ultimately land on the Jerusalem.

Not All Roses

Now comes the concern. President Trump and Netanyahu clearly have two separate strategies. The U.S. President sees making peace between the Palestinians and Israelis as a first sign to these Arab nations that there could be a peace deal between them and Israel.
“I am truly hopeful that America can help Israel and the Palestinians forge peace and bring new hope to the region and its people.” (TimesofIsrael.com)
Netanyahu, on the other hand, sees it quite oppositely. Peace can only come between Israelis and Palestinians after there is peace between Israel and her Arab neighbors. And let’s be honest. How can we even talk about peace between Israel and the Palestinians while Hamas is fully in control of all of Gaza? We cannot make peace with terrorists. And the more moderate Palestinian Authority is still in the business of paying off terrorists.
In light of the U.K. terror attack on Monday night, with President Trump still in Israel, Netanyahu stated the obvious:
“If the attacker had been Palestinian and the victims had been Israeli children, the suicide bomber’s family would have received a stipend from the Palestinian Authority. That’s Palestinian law. That law must be changed.”
How does President Trump expect Israel to even begin to establish peace with such a culture of murder that the PLO has created?
In his speech in Israel, there was lots of love for Israel, but few specifics. No mention of moving the embassy to the “eternal capital Jerusalem”, as he boldly proclaimed before he was president. For example:
“Through your hardships, you’ve created one of the most abundant lands anywhere in the world, a land that is rich not only in history, culture and opportunity, but especially in spirit. I stand in awe of the accomplishments of the Jewish people.”
Sounds great, but no meat.

Conclusion

From a political point of view, it was a brilliant visit. From a biblical point of view, it fell short. I saw many posts online where people made excuses for the President breaking his promise. “He knows what he is doing…he has more information than we do…he is taking his time.” And therein lies my fear. We all howled over how former President Obama was treated with Messiah-like reverence. Let’s not make the same mistake with President Trump. He is a man and even if God has brought him to this moment, he is still accountable to the voters. That is how democracy works. Our voice is important.
It is up to voters to demand that politicians keep their promises. And even though I would agree that this President has been treated worse by the media than any president I can remember, he can’t blame the media for his not recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s eternal capital or for not moving the American Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.
I will say it again—politically, it was the right move. Why upset the Saudis, Egyptians and Jordanians? But viewing this biblically, God gave President Trump an opportunity to please heaven and he missed it. Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification. No doubt his trip was originally planned with that in mind so he could recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. I think such a move would have brought favor on him and the United States. Still, it was so much better than Obama. And his visit to the Western Wall was an enormous symbolic gesture. He hit a double, but he could have hit a homerun.
You will arise and have compassion on Zion (Jerusalem), for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. (Ps. 102:13)

The name of the Holy City of Jerusalem in Hebrew is Yerushalayim, ירושלים. This very special name has two important words inside it. Yirah meas fear, and it is a combination of awe and fear that everyone is supposed to have for the Almighty God.  Anyone who has ever been to this holiest of cities can surely feel this tremendous level of connection to God. The second word is Shalom, peace. The prayer of all who serve God is that He will bless the entire world with peace. The best place to make a close connection to God and to pray for peace is in His Holy City, Jerusalem.

50 Years of Christian Support for Jewish Jerusalem

There are countless miracles to celebrate upon the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. Perhaps surprising to many Israelis are the largely untold stories of heroic Christian support for Jewish Jerusalem over the past half-century.

IDF Soldiers Liberate the Old City of Jerusalem

In June 1967, Israel’s soldiers overcame Arab troops and reached the Western Wall — the ancient remnant of the Jewish temple. At that moment, the Old City of Jerusalem, lost to the Jewish people for 2,000 years, was finally in Israel’s hands.

Trump Makes History Praying at the Holiest Site in Israel

Only a few short days before the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, President Donald Trump along with his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka made history as they visited the Western Wall in the Old City. As the last remnant of the ancient Holy Temple, the Western Wall has held a prominent spot in Jewish consciousness for centuries. Since the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948 and more importantly, since the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967, Jews from around the world have made the journey to be able to touch the stones of the Western Wall and pray at this holy site. In a great show of solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people, Trump is the first sitting US President to have visited the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem.
