Once upon a time I would to go to prophetic conferences and wish that the "big anointed" preacher would notice me and call me out for a prophetic word from God that would somehow show everyone there exactly how special and anointed that I was. That was supposed to confirm what I already felt on the inside and give me a little more respect in my life from the people around me.

The problem was that I was looking for approval and validation from the wrong place. This was a long slow process, but God began to show me that approval from man wasn't coming. There was no green light from man that I would receive before I could get started "in ministry" as a leader.

I would have to begin to walk into my calling without any fanfare.

Being Faithful in the Small Things

God showed me that I would just have to begin serving people and loving people and ministering to people without a great big hoopla. We're talking a whole lot of washing toilets, and very rarely ever getting to preach or do anything remotely "ministry like."

I realized that "being in ministry" or leadership wasn't about being the "big anointed" preacher on stage with a mic. It was about crying with those who are mourning. Having dinner with someone lonely. Making sad people laugh, sometimes. Holding a dear friend as she cries on my shoulder because her husband was unfaithful. Showing up early and praying. Quieting myself before God so He can refresh me. Washing a lot of feet. Serving people, equipping and edifying people. Loving the one person in front of me.

That's been many years now. I quit waiting on some flashy approval mob and just started doing the work. Somewhere along the way, people noticed, but God showed me that even then, the main thing that mattered was that I was His girl and He was proud of me. Once I quit waiting on others to approve, I began to write (eventually I got a book published), I ministered to people and prayed for them, I gave people prophetic words, I loved and served people, we planted a church, I wrote a book, I finished Bible school.

You see, little things turned into bigger things. Now I'm tremendously fulfilled and completely blissed to be that preacher who gets to preach on stage. What an honor. But I'm still also that lady who loves to laugh and have coffee with people, and do life together. I will always be that lady who is willing to just love the one in front of her. Because I know that that's what ministry is REALLY about.

Stop sitting around waiting on someone else to validate your calling. If God called you, get started. Recognition not required.

Chances are, nobody's gonna invite you into your calling. It's up to you to step into it. This process doesn't happen in a loud, obvious moment, with fanfare and applause.

You just start doing the stuff day by day and then one day as a result of a series of little steps over the stretch of sometimes years, somewhere along the way it turns into something credible.

What does that Look Like for You?

Has God called you as a missionary but you're in a season where you're not able to travel yet to where you feel led? Begin to love your neighborhood as if it were the mission field you're called to.

Has God called you as a pastor but you are home all day with little people who still poop their pants (AKA stay at home parent)? Enjoy the season you're in. Relish their giggles. Encourage your children and teach them to pray. Pastor your babies.

Listen I know what it's like to feel called to something enormous, to not know where to start, and to not have anyone in your life who believes in you. What matters is that God has called you and that your heart stays in the right place.

Don't get bitter when a leader doesn't recognize you. Be humble enough to not wave your big flashy future calling in people's faces, but rather to just serve where you can in that season. Just because God has called you to a certain thing, doesn't mean it's the season to fully step into that calling.

Rest assured that one-day you will, but in the meanwhile, everything you decide to do is a service unto the Lord. You can have tremendous impact just loving the people God puts in your path.

Keep serving others and doing small things daily to work towards that big calling that God has called you to do. Years from now you'll see progress and even months from now you'll see that you're much closer to your goal, simply because you took practical steps daily.

Be blissed!

You make me happy, You make me glad to be alive
You are my favorite friend.
You make me joyful, You make me want to dance with You
And it's Your song that we're dancing to.

Pre-Chorus:
Jesus, You are faithful, You are true
Never have I known someone like You

Jesus, You've become my favorite friend
For Your faithfulness to me will never end
And Jesus, You've become my favorite song
I'll sing Your song of love my whole life long.

Prophetic Word: 'The Winds of Heaven Are Now Entering the Earth' - CHUCK PIERCE CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Chuck Pierce in Ohio

Prophetic Insight, from Charisma Media

Prophetic Word: 'The Winds of Heaven Are Now Entering the Earth'

I just finished ministering here in Middletown, Ohio, at Dutch Sheet's An Appeal to Heaven National Conference! Last night's session was just incredible. Dutch read a portion of the prophetic word I released at Passover describing how April 25-Oct. 20 would be the most tumultuous and confusing time this nation has seen in over 160 or 170 years (click here to read on the Elijah List).
The Spirit of God then led me to prophesy about the Winds of Heaven now entering the earth. We must understand that we are in a new season.
Read this prophetic word or watch the video, and join us in declaring:
"The winds of heaven are now entering the earth!"
"For the last eight years, I have been blowing winds in the heavens. Winds have been stirring and stirring and stirring in My heavens. But now those winds are released to come into the earth realm. What has been stirring in heaven will now blow in the earth.
"Brace yourself! Brace yourself! Brace yourself! Brace yourself! For the winds that will now blow are the winds I've been holding back over the last eight years. Because I've been holding them back and you've been asking for them to blow earlier—now I will release them. I am acting on how you have sought Me in the last eight years.
"These winds will begin to gather an army of those who have been faithful and those who will now gather into a place they didn't even know they belonged. The winds of adversity will now produce an army (of which) people will say, 'It is the LORD's army that has changed the course of history!'"
"Tonight, and beginning this week, you will be bringing the turning point winds into the earth and rearranging the course of what is to become. Nations will begin now in their realignment with other nations, but I will blow off the façade that has been holding you captive.
"Because you have gathered here in this turning-point state (Ohio), now the turning point winds will come. What I've held back for eight years, I must now release. What goes on through May (as you begin to honor Me, and walk with Me, and gather with Me) will create a nation that has been covered over by the enemy's hand.
"The winds that now blow in the earth will cause the hand of the enemy that has been controlling the movement of strategy in the earth in this nation to be seen. No longer will the enemy have an upper hand in this land!"

Faithful - In All His Ways - latest book by Steve Martin

Read the latest publication. Available now.

Kindle $1.99 Buy here.

Continuing with another book edition of my latest inspirational writings of Now Think of This, I hope you are encouraged in your daily faith, to be faithful, as our Lord Jesus is faithful in all His ways.

Our main example and inspiration is the Lord Jesus Himself, Who was faithful to the end. Others that have followed since His time on earth have stood for the truth He spoke. We do well to keep our eyes stayed on Him, so we too can practice faithfulness in the days, which I believe are near the end as the Bible speaks of before His promised return.

My prayer is that these short messages will help build your faith, stand for truth, and continue to be a light in the darkness that seeks to cover the earth.

The Lord Jesus is coming back, as the Lion of Judah, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. All eyes will see Him in the clouds, riding His mighty stead, the One Who is Faithful and True.

Even so, come Lord Yeshua.

Shalom,

Steve Martin

Faithful - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Faithful
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.
(Hebrews 3:2-3, NASU)

Faithful. Now that is a word we don’t hear enough of these days when describing another, or when someone describes ourselves.

How often have you heard it being said of one, “He was faithful to his wife.” Or, “She kept her promises. If she said it, you can be sure she would do it. She was faithful to the end.”

So often we hear of the politician who said one thing before the election day, but once in office they seemed to have forgotten what they had spoken, and instead bend to the peer pressure surrounding them. Or the sad stories reported of school teachers taking advantage of their students, having sex with them, unfaithful both to their student and their commitment to teach truth.

It has been far too often that leadership has failed us. Out of their mouth has come one thing, but behind the scene it is discovered that unfaithfulness to their God and the people they were called to serve was the opposite of what picture was painted for the world to see. Disappointment may then come upon their followers, which then cause them to give up believing in anyone trustworthy. A cynical spirit is thus given a place to lodge in people’s hearts.

We have been called to be a witness of the Lord Jesus. He Who was faithful to the end, during His time on earth, and for all eternity, has too chosen and appointed us to be as He is – faithful and true.

“Thus says the Lord,
The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One,
To Him whom man despises,
To Him whom the nation abhors,
To the Servant of rulers:
"Kings shall see and arise,
Princes also shall worship,
Because of the Lord who is faithful,
The Holy One of Israel;
And He has chosen You." Isaiah 49:7 NKJV

Our lives, demonstrated before the world, are to be ones proving the faithfulness of the One we serve. If we say we are going to do something, we must do it. If we commit to be there when we say we will, then we must be there. On time and ready for action.

The desire of the Lord’s child must be to someday hear Him speak to them the word He spoke in parable, “His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'” (Matthew 25:21-22 NKJV)

May it be said of us in our days that we are faithful, that we do what we will say we will do; that we keep our promises, no matter what the cost is to ourselves. May others say of us today, “They are faithful.”  And may our God say of us when we stand before Him on that day, “You are a good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

Now think on this,

Prophecy: We're in a Season of Promotions and Demotions - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA NEWS

Don't be jealous of others. Work on your relationship with Jesus instead.

Prophetic Insight, from Charisma Media
I prophesied earlier this year that 2016 would be marked by shifting seasons and suddenlies. Part of those shifting seasons and suddenlies includes promotions and demotions. God is going to raise up the humble, hardworking saints and humble the prideful ones with wrong motives. Put another way, doors are going to open for some, and opportunities will diminish for others. The Lord spoke these words to me:
"I am promoting My faithful ones in this season to positions in My spirit and in the natural that defy human reasoning. My faithful ones have prayed and sought My face and walked in My will with the little things, and I am making them ruler over more in My kingdom. Those faithless ones will be demoted while my faithful ones are raised up in this hour. Those walking in pride will be brought low. Those walking in arrogance will not stand in My special places in this season. But those who have walked in the low places with Me, I will exalt and raise up and send out with an anointing to stand and withstand in this hour."
I have been in a season of constant promotion for more than a decade. That's not to say that I haven't had setbacks or trials, but the Lord has worked it all together for my good. I've learned sometimes what looks like a demotion or closed door can really be the Lord setting you up to shift you into a new season. With that in mind, let's look at six ways to respond to this prophetic word.
1. Don't try to make it happen. Don't chase dreams, chase the God who gave you the dreams and He will make your dreams come true in the right time. No man on earth and no devil in hell can stop what God wants to do in your life—but you can make a big mess trying to make it happen.
In Genesis 16, God promised Abram and Sarah a son, but they got impatient and birthed an Ishmael that brought grief and sorrow into their lives. Manipulating situations may get you somewhere more quickly, but it won't keep you there long. Remember, whatever you do to get somewhere, you'll have to keep doing to stay there. You will never have to force anything that's truly meant to be. Don't promote and exalt yourself. That's God's job.
JOIN JENNIFER ON FACEBOOK FOR SPIRITUAL COMMENTARY AND ENCOURAGEMENT. CLICK HERE.
2. Don't look to man to make it happen. What man gives you, man can take away. If you look to man to make it happen for you, you'll be tempted to compromise. You'll be expected to do things God may not have called you to do. Some Christians have sold their soul to man for a quick promotion instead of selling out to God and trusting His timing. Consider Jeremiah 17:5-6 with reverential fear and trembling:
"Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart departs from the Lord. For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited." This is not to say that you can never receive help from a person, but don't look to man to open doors only God should open.
3. Don't be jealous of what others have. God won't promote a jealous heart. Jealousy is a work of the flesh (Gal. 5:20). Think about it for a minute. Saul was jealous of David—and tried to kill him. Joseph's brothers were jealous—and tried to kill him. Cain was jealous of Abel—and did kill him. When you allow jealousy into your heart, you are tapping into a murderous spirit that will ultimately kill your dreams. James 3:14-16 says:
"But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, do not boast and do not lie against the truth. This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, and devilish. For where there is envying and strife, there is confusion and every evil work." (For further study, read Proverbs 14:30 and Philippians 2:3.)
4. Trust God with the timing. Ecclesiastes 3 declares, "To everything there is a season." Many times, we think we can change our times and seasons, but Daniel 2:21 makes it clear that this is God's role and explains, "He removes kings and sets up kings." David rightly told the Lord, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand" (Ps. 31:14-15). Remember, "For neither from the east nor west, nor from the wilderness comes victory. But God is the judge; He brings one low, and lifts up another" (Ps. 75:6-7).
5. Work on your character. If you were ready to handle the promotion now, God would give it to you now. Many times, we need to develop the character that will keep us to where the anointing takes us. Romans 5:3-5 tells us patience produces character. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas of your life that need work—and then ask for the grace to get to the next glory.
6. Practice humility. Humility has no rights. Here are three witnesses to keep in mind: "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time" (1 Pet. 5:6-7); "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up" (James 4:10); and "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted" (Luke 14:11).
Finally, once God exalts you, stay humble. Pride comes before the fall.

Endure Hardship As a Good Soldier by Elaine Tavolacci - Identity Network

Endure Hardship As a Good Soldier

by Elaine Tavolacci

Identity Network
The Holy Spirit brought back a word that I had received a couple of years ago. Many of you have been proven faithful through very difficult times and have learned how to triumph over every obstacle in your path. You have allowed the Lord to strengthen you and you have persevered through horrendous storms, but now it seems as if the enemy has returned with a vengeance.

The Lord showed me an analogy of a luxury car.  A luxury car must go through greater testing than an economy car before it is released to the car dealership.  To test a luxury car such as a Ferrari they may have to hit a wall to test its strength.  They will perform crash tests to test the amount of pressure that it could stand.  They will run it through all seasons to check its performance and tolerance to adverse weather patterns.  It will be tested through the snow, the rain, the heat and extreme weather conditions.

They will also test it on the mountains to see if it could pass the test of perseverance, stability and excellence.  They will test it on sharp turns and U turns to make sure it is agile enough for the winding roads and they will test it on rocky roads to test its endurance.  The reason why a luxury car needs more testing than an economy car is because it has to be proven for what it is worth.  We are also tested and tried for our value and worth in the kingdom of God.

Trying Times of Your Past

The Lord says; "It was the trying times of your past that has strengthened you to become the person whom I have created you to be.  Things may not have gone according to the way that you have planned, but know that I am preparing you for greater works in the days ahead. As the enemy tries to return with a vengeance, remember where I have brought you from. Don't lose your focus.

As you look back at the difficult times, you will see that there was a purpose and a plan.  Everything that you have endured will be used for My glory.  As you have stayed strong in times of adversity, I will now entrust you with greater responsibilities.  As you have allowed Me to restructure your life and make the proper adjustments, you will now become more effective in that which I have called you to do.

Every step has been necessary for the preparation of your spiritual growth.  Although you have wrestled and contended in this last season, it has made you durable and able to trust Me in this season.  Through difficult times you have learned not to allow frustration to overwhelm you but you have recognized the opportunities for the days ahead.

A Vessel Unto Honor

The adversities have not caused you to be hardened with bitterness but have made you pliable to be used as a vessel unto honor.

As you stand steadfast, you will see the victory.  You will understand the preparation and the process is crucial for the days ahead, and there will be a positive outcome for every unfortunate situation.  As you allow Me to build you for endurance, your character and integrity will be strengthened.  There are lessons to be learned that are necessary for your advancement so that you could fulfill all that I have called you to do; says the Lord.

2 Samuel 22:35 He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

Psalm 18:32 It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.

Psalm 144:1 Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.

2 Timothy 2:3-4 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
