NOW Is The Time - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

NOW Is The Time
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.” Ecclesiates 3:1 NAS

When the Word of the Lord comes to you and speaks softly in your inner spirit, saying, “NOW is the time,” you know that you know it is time. Something in your spirit then responds “Yes!” He doesn’t have to spell it out for you. That “it” – that something you have been waiting for, is now going to happen. You just know that it is the time. He has spoken.

Each of us are waiting on something. Some of you for a decent job, to replace the one or two part-time ones that you have had for awhile. Or the current job that you now have causes you to drag yourself out of bed each weekday morning, hoping that soon another will soon come along.

Others are anticipating the day when they will meet “the one”, trying not to lose hope in the process.

One of you reading this just wants the Lord to heal that nagging, hurting nerve. It has been painful for over a year now, causing loss of sleep and all that comes with a chronic issue. Enough already with the Aleve twice a day.

And yet several of you have been waiting for that release into your God-given dream; to touch the nations, to help the helpless, to have your life count for something, for all eternity. After all, the prophetic word came when you were 24. Now you are almost 40. What is up with that?

Waiting on the Lord and His timing can do one of two things. One, it can make you resentful that it hasn’t happened already, eventually turning your heart into bitterness for the Lord and His people, which then ultimately has you believing nothing that the Lord has spoken to you will ever come to pass.

Or two, you are maintaining that trust in His faithfulness, knowing deep down that though you can’t see the promise fulfilled, which may yet be far off, you keep pressing on. Because He has proven Himself to you in your past, you know that somehow, someway, someday He will be there to do it again. You are believing the Scripture for what it exactly says, and which has been speaking directly to you

You really believe the Scripture, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1. NASB)

I especially like these following verses that talk about Abraham’s and Sarah’s faith. Being in my “latter” years, or better yet, my “fine wine prime time golden ways of gray hair days” years, they are especially meaningful to me.

“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised. Therefore there was born even of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. (Hebrews 11:8-12 NASB)

The Lord understands our weaknesses. He knows where we are at. After all, He created us.

Today I heard the Lord say, “NOW is the time.” I have been waiting. Let it now be done according to your word, my Lord.

He is speaking to you too. The waiting is over. NOW is the time.

Now think on this,

Steve Martin

"Is a New Major Revival and Move of God Coming in 2016?" - Doug Addison

"Is a New Major Revival and Move of God
Coming in 2016?"
Doug Addison, Los Angeles, CA
The Elijah List

Why I Believe a New Major Revival and Move of God Is Coming in 2016

Several years ago God spoke to me about the timing of the major moves of God happening in North America every 11 years:
1994 – Toronto Blessing
1983 – Third Wave Charismatic Movement
1972 – The Jesus People Movement

When you do the math and go back every 11 years from 1994, it also falls on the Healing Movement of 1950, and even back to the Azusa Street Revival in 1906.

God spoke to me that there would be a major move in 2005, but it never happened. In 2005, instead of a revival we went into an 11-year wilderness time.

Then in September 2009, I had an encounter that explained why. (See my previous blog below.)

Now we are approaching 2016, which is 11 years after 2005. This is our time to get ready for something big to come. Hope you can catch the prophetic significance of this like I have. Let's get ready together!
This is the blog post I wrote back in 2009 (previously posted on the Elijah List) describing the encounter I had exactly 6 years ago:

The Last Move of God was the Wilderness!

On September 8, 2009, I had a night vision in which I was taken to an aerial view of various parts of the world. I was shown vast landscapes of lush grasslands that were teeming with new life. I could see exotic plants and trees and I knew in my spirit that what I was seeing was a new move from God that had come upon the earth to bring about a radical revival(Photo via Pixabay)

Suddenly, a massive wave of destruction came upon the greenery. The whole scene was consumed and only a barren wasteland was left in its place. I watched in shock and felt disappointed and distressed at what I had witnessed.

Then the audible voice of God spoke to me in the vision and said, "I released something new from Heaven, but My people were not ready for it, so I had to bring a wilderness time to purge things that were not of Me."

As I woke from the experience a very strong presence of God was in my bedroom. The Holy Spirit spoke to me that God planned the start of something new in 2005 that would bring about a new level of anointing. This new level was intended to awaken a new revival. But because we were not ready for it, He changed it into a wilderness time instead.

From 2005–2009 many people struggled through a major time of purging, testing, and realignment. Wilderness experiences from God are necessary in order to refine and prepare us.

Hosea 2:14–15 NIV "Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope..."
God released many promises to the Church in 2005. Some promises have been delayed and are now being released.

Our ministry was located in Los Angeles around that time. We were gathering the resources and people to start a training and outreach center near Hollywood. We had been given a sizable grant to support the work when, in 2005, it was as though every door closed for us.

We eventually gave the grant back and moved to Moravian Falls, North Carolina. We were literally placed in the wilderness (we lived in the woods of North Carolina) and we experienced a very difficult time for three years, including a very limited amount of influence and favor. Then in 2009, we were suddenly sent back to the West Coast to start a training center – this time in Santa Maria, California.

We are now in a time of realignment and restarting. Many prophetic words and promises got sidetracked or delayed, and some are now void because of the sudden switch in the spirit.

If you have gone through difficult and unclear times over the past few years, this may very well be the reason why.
Had God allowed the new movement to come in 2005 in the condition we were in, it may have destroyed us. We saw several examples of that over the past couple of years as many leaders fell away from their callings or were entangled in sin.

A Time of Awakening

Throughout the month of September, I kept hearing a line from a song on the radio, "Wake me up when September ends." This is very much like the call going out from God right now – He will be waking many of His people up in the month of October.

This is the time to press into God and ask Him for more clarity. We will all see some type of answered prayer during this month. You will need to watch for it. Those who are not paying attention may miss this fresh time of God's visitation.

God is visiting our situations, our families, jobs, relationships, and ministries, and a trumpet blast is going out to call people to awaken!

We will see some strange events in the months to come and a massive amount of sudden changes and turnarounds. If we stay centered on God, we will not be shaken.

Check for yourself – think back and look at the year 2005 and see if anything unusual happened. Were you going one direction when things switched and seemed to dry up?

As I have asked people this question, I am hearing story after story of how God had either made a promise that didn't seem to work out, or some even saw a new move of God start that suddenly got cut off.

This is what I believe God is saying, "Just as suddenly as things changed and were cut off in 2005, I am now renewing and reviving situations – suddenly! I am parting the Red Sea once again and making the impossible possible. Watch Me and give Me glory as your life and ministry are restored and renewed in this very hour."

Prayer: "God, awaken us to what You are doing in our lives right now. Give us eyes to see and ears that can hear what You are doing. Amen."

Blessings,

Doug Addison

Major Reforming Happening by Doug Addison

Major Reforming Happening

by Doug Addison

Identity Network

If you are reading this then congratulations, you have made it through some very uncertain times. The good news is that things are going to start getting progressively better after this month.

This is from my prophetic word for 2015 that I released last January: There will be another major spiritual shift in June (the first one was in May of this year) and "June gloom" will lift and the fog of forgetfulness will be removed. God will begin to bring to your memory promises you have forgotten. This will set the pace for the rest of the year. Watch for things to "fall into place" in the fall.

Take Cover

When I say, "Take cover," most people think of something negative coming. But God is saying that if you stay under His covering things will work out great. Don't be distracted by things that are in disarray right now. Things are going to smooth out in July.

Psalm 91:1-4 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

The enemy wants you to think that you missed something or messed up.

Take cover in God and you will not have to worry.

Major Reformation

Watch for big things from small beginnings. If you have ever heard God say to you, "Don't despise humble beginnings," understand that God is gathering small groups together to do something great. It is important to be aligned in the right place, at the right time and with the right people for the second half of the year.

We will see a shift come as we get aligned with God's purposes for our lives. There is a major reformation at hand!

• Repositioning
• Regrouping
• Reshaping
• REFORMING

2:22

I keep seeing 2:22 on the clock. God spoke to me about this through Daniel 2:22:

Daniel 2:19-22 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.

Watch for These Things Starting in June:

God is speaking through dreams and visions. The season is changing. Expect to see changes coming as God raises up new leaders for this next movement coming. God is revealing deep mysteries that have not been revealed. Expect to have hidden things revealed and a strategy on how to respond.

How to Move in what God is Doing Right Now

Develop this foundation:
  • Agree that all things are possible for those who believe.
  • "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 NKJV " … but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26 NIV
  • Understand that God is not angry and is not out to harm you.
  • God is the giver of good gifts.
  • God is a loving Father who wants to give us good things.
  • God is for you and not against you or mad at you.
  • God is not causing the bad things that we see happening in the world.
  • God wants to give us the desires of our heart and wants to do this as our heart becomes more like His. Psalm 37:4
  • God wants to give you hope, a future, and not harm you. He longs to see you prosper and succeed. Jeremiah 29:11
  • You are truly a new creation in Christ, and old things no longer have power over you unless you allow them to.
Log jams

God showed me that many people are suffering from cloudy vision and confusion because of a critical spirit. When we judge others we can block blessings from flowing to us. Consider these verses that have to do with giving …

Luke 6:37-38 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

People are suffering from spiritual log jams. For the most part it is from holding judgments against others.

Matthew 7:3-4 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"

Overall it is a time of major transition. Things are going to start to flow more freely. God is going to reveal a strategy that you need to flow in His will and timing for the remainder of the year.

Can you sense the transition? Ask God if you have any areas of blindness due to a "log of judgment" in your eye. God is gracious and is preparing you for increase! Remember to rise above your current circumstance and don't let anything stop you!

Blessings,

Doug Addison

Still Waiting - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Still Waiting
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“And so, having patiently waited, he (Abraham) obtained the promise.” Heb. 6:15 NASU

So how many years did Abraham wait for the promise? His promised son? 5, 10, 15 years or more? It was 25 years after the Lord had promised to Abraham that a son, whom he named Isaac, was born to Abraham and his wife Sarah.

“Now the Lord said to Abram,

"Go forth from your country,
And from your relatives
And from your father's house,
To the land which I will show you;
And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you,
And make your name great;
And so you shall be a blessing;
And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who curses you I will curse.
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." Gen. 12:1-5 NASU

So Abram went forth as the Lord had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the persons which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; thus they came to the land of Canaan.”  Gen. 12:1-5 NASU

Later in Gen. 21:5 it tells us that “Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

Are you still waiting for a promise to be fulfilled that the Lord had given to you? I know I am.

Sometimes I get tired of waiting. If I had my way, surely those things I heard many years ago would have come to pass by now. I wouldn’t have taken any detours; I would have stayed on the narrow path; I would have known exactly what I was to do when I was to do it. But I didn’t have my way (or maybe I did and that is why I am still waiting!)

Or maybe the Lord knew all my steps I was to take, and in spite of all that, He still is working out His plan, on my behalf, and that I will receive those promises. So that is what I will continue to believe.

Waiting on the Lord is a sign of faith. If you don’t have faith, you don’t wait. You jump right in to what seems right, without seeking the Lord for His direction, and you then reap what you have sown. But to wait, day in and day out, year after year, requires a faith that His faithfulness will be proven in the end. No matter what the circumstances look like now, you have a confidence that the Lord’s word is true, and thus so it will be.

Whether the wait is for something to happen in a relationship, a financial situation to come about, or there is a desire to get married and raise a family…we each have dreams, hopes and promises that we wait to come. It is in those times of days, months and years of waiting that our maturity and confidence should be growing. After all, an oak tree doesn’t grow up overnight. Neither does a city get built in a day.

As I head out to the car each morning for the daily trek up the interstate to the accounting job, by faith I thank the Lord that the time for this current assignment will come to an end, and the desires in my heart, which I believe He put there years ago in my youth, are yet to come about. Doing the best job I can, while on this job, says to the Lord, “I will be faithful here as You yourself will prove of Your faithfulness when that time comes.”

Waiting can be tough. Often we are tempted to give up, to quit, to say I can’t keep up with this much longer. But as we take time to spend with the Lord each day, to receive His encouragement, our hearts and spirits will be strengthened. Grace will be available to wait the wait, and in the meantime to be faithful where we are.

I am still waiting. I will continue to wait. For He is the One I ultimately wait on, and time and time again He has proven Himself faithful.

Now think on this,

Steve Martin

Grapes and Raisins, Promises and Fulfillments By ROBIN MCMILLAN

Grapes and Raisins, Promises and Fulfillments

By ROBIN MCMILLAN

Over the years I have accumulated a number of unfulfilled personal promises from the Lord. Recently I mentioned to Him that I didn't understand why He had not yet fulfilled them. Its not that I'm unusually impatient nor extraordinarily patient, but some of these promises are over 30 years old.

As I questioned the Lord I saw a picture in my mind of a scoop in heaven pouring out raisins. At first I disregarded what I saw. It seemed foolish and of no consequence. However I couldn't shake it and so began to inquire of the Lord about it.
Grapes are the clearest old testament prophetic image representing a promise. When the twelve spies returned from spying out the 'promised land' they brought back grapes as proof of its great fruitfulness. The grapes of Eschol were so large that it took two men to carry back one bunch on a long stick between them. Grapes became synonymous with the promised land and are the prototypical picture of a promise.

Now, raisins. Raisins are grapes dried up. They don't look near as good as plump juicy grapes but they fulfill a different purpose. In the ancient world they sustained soldiers in times of war or people traveling distances who need nutritious food that would not perish. Grapes only last a short time but raisins have the ability to sustain people in dry difficult circumstances over the long haul.

Jeremiah once said, "I found your word and ate it and it became the joy and rejoicing of my heart..." Thats what we must do to inherit the promises of God. We must eat them, chew on them, meditate upon them, consume them and make them ours. Promises come like grapes but are fulfilled like raisins. Over time our personal promises seem to dry up and wither just like a grape that becomes a raisin, but if we will eat them they shall sustain us until their time of fulfillment arrives.

REMEMBER: PROMISES COME LIKE GRAPES BUT ARE FULFILLED LIKE RAISINS.

Mystic MooseTales: Redefining Wildlife
My primary purpose for writing MooseTales is to impart two things to the current generation: love for Jesus and authentic hunger for the historic supernatural God of the Bible. I chose the allegorical style because it lends itself to creativity in a wide range of expression and humor. In my imagination there exists a world where animals walk on two legs, demonstrate all the attributes of humans, and live and interact together with people. In just such a world Theodore Conquest ‘Mystic’ Moose lives and does his exploits. Many of these tales are based on events that have literally happened to flesh and blood men and women. These people I know. Other events originate from lives of historic Christians I don’t know but have read about or heard their testimonies.

"This Is Your Turn Around Year! For Such A Time As This" Dutch Sheets

"This Is Your Turn Around Year!
For Such A Time As This"
Dutch Sheets, Dallas, TX
The Elijah List

As of late, a spotlight has been placed on the Book of Esther and the Jewish celebration of Purim. Even the secular media has drawn parallels between the Biblical account of Queen Esther, commemorated during this time of year, and last week's bold actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Queen Esther broke protocol to appeal to the king in a courageous attempt to save her people from a threat of annihilation.
Likewise, Prime Minister Netanyahu—without President Obama's involvement—made an appeal to the U.S. Congress to intervene against the Iranian nuclear threat to Israel and the world.

In Esther's day, the deliverance of the Jewish people initiated the holiday known as Purim. While last week's political events may have prompted me to write this article, the Feast of Purim has had my attention for the past few months.

In December of each year, I take time to study the Word and seek the Lord for prophetic revelation concerning the New Year. As I pressed into God concerning 2015, He highlighted some word definitions from within the book of Esther that are key to understanding and partnering with what God desires to do in this season.

According to the book of Esther, the Jewish people's existence was threatened when Haman, one of King Ahasuerus' trusted officials manipulated the king into issuing a decree for the annihilation of the Jews. Upon learning of Haman's decree, Esther, a Jewish woman chosen by King Ahasuerus to be his queen, exposed Haman's plan and appealed to the king for the salvation of her people. The king miraculously granted Esther's request and Haman was executed instead. The day after the decree of Haman was reversed, the feast of Purim began.

Time To Reverse And Overthrow

In Strong's Concordance, the Hebrew definition for the word numbered 2015 (haphak) is "to overturn, overthrow, turnaround, transform, be reversed." The following verses from Esther 9 demonstrate the power of this concept.
"...when the king's command and edict were about to be executed, on the day when the enemies of the Jews hoped to gain the mastery over them, it was turned to the contrary so that the Jews themselves gained the mastery over those who hated them." (verse 1)

"Because on those days the Jews rid themselves of their enemies, and it was a month which was turned for them from sorrow into gladness and from mourning into a holiday; that they should make them days of feasting and rejoicing..." (verse 22)

"But when it came to the king's attention, he commanded by letter that his wicked scheme, which he had devised against the Jews, should return on his own head and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows." (verse 25)

The Message translation of Esther 9:25 uses a powerful illustration to convey the significance of what transpired: "But when Queen Esther intervened with the king, he gave written orders that the evil scheme that Haman had worked out should boomerang back on his own head."

I believe God is doing again this year what He did in Esther's day. God is moving us into a time of divine reversals! This is the year of the great turnaround, when God intervenes powerfully on behalf of His people and the enemy is overthrown as his plans boomerang back on his own head!(Photo via Dutch Sheets)

Of course, the Hebrew word for 2015 is not only found in the book of Esther, but throughout the Scriptures. Deuteronomy 23:5 uses the word when the curse Balaam released over the Jewish people was turned by God into a blessing because He loved them. Jeremiah 31:13 and Isaiah 61 use the word in reference to turning mourning into joy.

I believe this divine turnaround is true not only for families and individuals, but for entire regions and nations of the earth, as well.

Wars will give place to harvest and areas of unrest will give way to righteousness—even in the darkest regions. There will be awakening and revivals in places where they have never existed.

We must recognize, however, that the Lord is inviting us to partner with Him in releasing these supernatural boomerangs into the earth.

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

Time to Agree and Decree

When King Ahasuerus extended his scepter over Esther, and life and favor were released, the king invited Esther to write her own decree. The decree was to be written in the king's name and sealed with the king's seal, so that it could never be reversed. Likewise, the Lord has extended His scepter of grace and favor over us. He is inviting us to exercise His authority to make reversal decrees concerning the very things the enemy has decreed over our lives in past seasons. (Photo by Donna Smallenberg"For Such a Time as This" via elijahshopper.com)

Be it sickness, poverty, divorce, depression, rebellion, or any other form of oppression, these truths from Scripture convey the power of our words:
"You will also decree a thing and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways." (Job 22:28)

"Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant." (Jeremiah 1:9-10)

As stated in one of my previous writings, the Lord is calling us to shift from merely petitioning the Father, to also making decrees (official orders, edicts or decisions), declarations (announcements or formal statements) and proclamations (the process of binding and loosing) as we are prophetically inspired by Holy Spirit to do so. The power of God's decreed Word is extraordinary! It releases His creativity, His salvation, and yes, His judgments! He rules through His Words, and so must we.

Time To Feast and Rest

The number 15 is also associated with remembrance, celebration and rest after victory or harvest in the Scriptures. Throughout Scripture, we read accounts of the Jewish people instituting feast days—in response to and in commemoration of the Lord's providence—on the 15th day of the month. (Exodus 12-13, Leviticus 23, Esther 9).

The Feast of Tabernacles (15th of Tishri) was celebrated in remembrance of how God faithfully brought the Israelites through wilderness out of Egypt, and into the Promised Land. The Feast of Unleavened Bread (15th of Nisan) took place after Passover. It commemorated how the Lord preserved the lives of all those who put the blood of a sacrificial lamb on the doorpost of their house.

The Feast of Purim (14th of Adar and Shushan Purim 15th of Adar) memorializes the day on which God gave the Israelites rest from their enemies, who wanted to destroy them. The stories behind these feasts paint a prophetic picture of what God desires to do among us in the year 2015.

As the Lord causes the strategies of the enemy to be overthrown, He will also bring us into a season of victory, celebration and rest. This rest does not imply the ceasing of activity, but a peaceful and joyful trust in the Lord. It is the place from which we derive renewed strength to move forward.

This Scriptural passage comes to mind:
"He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." (Isaiah 40:29-31)

The year 2014 was one of great turmoil for many families, ministries and nations alike. As a result, hopelessness has set in, vision has been clouded, strategies have been wanting, and forward movement has been delayed.

Yet I concur with the prophets who have been proclaiming 2015 as a turnaround year! Regardless of how great the hardship, betrayal, sickness or loss in 2014, this is your year of breakthrough! (Photo via Dutch Sheets Facebook)

In 2015, you will see a reversal of the enemy's decrees and strategies enacted against you. Stand confidently upon the Lord's promise of divine intervention; He has been working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28)! This year, God will cause light to break forth from darkness, turn curses into blessings, and mourning into joy (Isaiah 60 and 61)!

Through the adversity of the past year, the Lord has been preparing you for the fulfillment of His promises over your life! And from this new place of celebration, victory and rest, the Lord desires that you partner with Him to help facilitate a righteous turnaround in this nation.

You were born for such a time as this!
