You’ve Got Mail - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

You’ve Got Mail
Now Think On This

One of my good wife’s favorite movies is You’ve Got Mail with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. It is considered one of those drama/romance genres. A rather cute movie, a love story about a struggling boutique bookseller Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) who meets, and then hates (or the other way around) Joe Fox (Tom Hanks), the owner of the corporate Foxbooks chain store that just moved in across the New York City street.

It is a classic movie which I enjoy watching also. Occasionally we’ll pull the video out, or maybe the DVD. I forget what format we have.

Short version, so as not to spoil it if you choose to check it out on Netflix or Redbox - Joe takes all of Kathleen’s customer business, and then they end up in love. But that only happens after they unknowingly exchange some emails with each other, which in 1998 was still new to some people. If my memory serves me right, and 9 out of 10 times it still does, the story develops in such a way that you keep hoping they will discover who the other one really is that they are communicating with, and that they would fall in love. In the end they do, and you get all teary eyed. At least my wife does. (And I think I have too.)

I thought it was rather odd that Holy Spirit (notice He is not “the” or “it” but a real person) would drop that movie into my mind as I finally woke up, after being woken up at 1 am this morning by Him. He is known for that. Giving you a random thought, even in the middle of the night, but then explaining it more after you spend a little time in waiting, and seeking, the purpose He had in giving it to you.

His communication style is fun at times. It reminds me of playing hide and go seek as a child, or even now with a grandchild. He will say something, wait for you to acknowledge Him, and then give you a little bit more to keep you hearing. Hide, seek, and find.

For me, it is how He gives a prophetic word for someone – just a picture in my mind, a single word, or a short sentence, and then as I speak it forth, He gives me more to share with that one He is wanting to bless. Moving in faith brings reward, and blesses others in the process.

So what about “You’ve Got Mail”? I just believe the Lord is wanting to get someone’s attention who is reading this, and let you know that it is actually He Who has been speaking to you all the time. You thought it was just you.

He wants you to know He loves you, knows where you are at, and is already working out the situation far better than you could hope or imagine.

You are not alone. You have not been abandoned. He knows the pain, hurt and sorrow. He has been there. Done that.

He loves you so much, and is so happy that you are His child. He is not out to “get you” as some would think. He is out to get you - to share more of His love with you.

So heh! You’ve got mail!

Now treasure this.

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:

"For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 8:31-39 NKJV)

Touch them even now Lord. Let them know of Your awesome love.

Love you,

One Sure Sign of the End Times You Can't Miss - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

One Sure Sign of the End Times You Can't Miss

It's not blood moons or earthquakes, but another sign of the end times is already beginning to unfold before our eyes, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn says.
The sign? The ending of shades of gray in our culture.
"The gray is disappearing; it's splitting back up into what it's made of," Cahn says. "Gray is ending."
As we go forward, we'll see more black and more white as what was blended further separates, and darkness and light are polarized once more.
Watch the video here to see Cahn explain.

The Fire of God Returning to the Western Church by Brian Britton - Identity Network

The Fire of God Returning to the Western Church by Brian Britton

Luke 3:16 "John answered and said to them all, "As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

The other morning as I was in prayer, the Lord began to speak to me about the fire of the Holy Spirit returning to the Western church. In the west, particularly the United States, we have been in a season of great revelation in the church.

In the last 30 years or so, we have seen a truly unprecedented amount of revelation and teaching being released in the church especially in regards to the supernatural and in operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Lord recently showed me a vision where I saw all of this revelation and teaching being prepared as altars before the Lord and He was sending a fire to ignite these altars and fuel Revival in the earth.

Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

In addition to leading local churches, I minister as a missionary revivalist and I am blessed to travel the earth sharing the good news of Jesus. I have been honored to serve with some of the most amazing preachers from around the world in nations that have experienced amazing moves of God.  Honestly, the first thing you notice as a westerner while visiting a church in Africa, South America or Asia, is the fiery preaching and powerful Spirit-filled ministry.

The church services in these areas are marked by the Fire of God. The same can be said for the preaching coming from the pulpits of revivals past in the USA. In our Great Awakenings and revivals of the past, the pulpits of America and Western Europe thundered with the fire of God! The fire of the Holy Spirit also brings an increase of miracles, signs and wonders, salvations and what we call revival.

A Fresh Baptism of Fire

I feel in the Spirit that a shift has occurred and that we are now in the beginning of this season of fire in the West. I have felt this shift in my own life in recent months and have watched in awe at the increase of His fire in my life.  It has impacted every area of my life from relationships to ministry. Let's pray together for the Lord to send a fresh baptism of fire in our nation!

I believe that the fire of the Holy Spirit is a direct manifestation of the love of God, which incidentally is the most powerful force in the universe. With the coming of the fire, His love is made manifest and brings an increase of the knowledge of His glory in the earth and an awareness to the truth of the gospel.

Our pulpits in the USA and Europe will thunder again with His fire and many will be drawn to Jesus as a result. The great teachers of our generation and those rising even now will burn with the greatest fire that the church has ever known.  This is a time where the Holy Spirit is breathing on and igniting the things of God in the earth. Imagine millions not just professing faith in Him but burning with His love and releasing the fires of revival everywhere they go! Imagine arenas filled with worshipers all being ignited at once!

They are already beginning to gather for events such as Jesus Culture Conferences, One Thing, The Call, mass evangelism campaigns by Rhinehard Bonnke, Bethel Worship Nights, etc.  And look at how through technology, God has already built the pathway for news of this fire to be shared instantly throughout the earth.

I believe this fresh baptism of fire for the church in the West is the catalyst to ignite the billion-soul harvest prophesied by Bob Jones and others. Now is the time! Ignite Your church in the West oh God, to be a great beacon, burning brightly for your glory. A fire that will never wane! Be encouraged! These are great days in the Kingdom!

Rick Joyner Offers Prophetic Insight on the Decline of the World Economy - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

Rick Joyner Offers Prophetic Insight on the Decline of the World Economy

Rick Joyner offers prophetic insight into the global economy. (YouTube)
The world is seeing the biggest shift of power, since the fall of the Iron Curtain, which is chock-full of prophetic significance, Rick Joyner says.
The prophetic voice believes the beginning of some of the biggest crises in recent times began stirring in recent weeks.
"I believe it does mark the beginning of a very serious world-wide decline in the economy," Joyner says.
He isn't alone in this belief. The Economic Collapse, written by Michael Snyder, details the shifts almost daily, and a former Reagan official is begging Americans to listen.
Joyner says he believes we've been tottering on the edge of catastrophe for years.
"I believe the only reason we haven't had that happen yet is because of God's grace," he says.

COMMENTARY: Is Israel a Chosen People? - November 09, 2015 | Brian Hennessy - ISRAEL TODAY

COMMENTARY: Is Israel a Chosen People?

Monday, November 09, 2015 |  Brian Hennessy

To ask whether the family of Abraham was uniquely chosen by God may sound like a foolish question to those who call themselves ‘Zionists.’ Yet entire Christian denominations today hold fast to a theology that denies God the freedom to show special favor to anyone, including the Jews. And I’m not speaking of Replacement Theology.
The theology I’m referring to is Arminianism. It was named after Jacob Arminius who obviously didn’t take seriously the words of God spoken by the prophet Amos, “You only have I chosen from among all the families of the earth” (Amos 3:2). Or Jesus: “You did not choose me. But I chose you” (John 15:16). Or Paul: “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world” (Eph. 1:4).
Instead, Arminius’s belief informed him it would be unfair for our Heavenly Father to favor one part of His human creation above the rest. It insisted all should be treated equally. In so teaching, Arminius completely ignored Paul’s response to man questioning God’s freedom to do as He pleases, when he wrote, “Who are you, O man, who answers back to God?... Does not the potter have the right over the clay to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?” (Rom. 9:20,21)
Worse, this teaching feeds into the anti-Semitism of Replacement Theology that specifically wants to remove all consideration of the Jewish people from having any favor with God today. It may grudgingly admit God chose Israel for a time in order to bring forth the Messiah. But once Yeshua came it’s believed God did away with the idea of having a chosen people and the Jews are just like every other unsaved person now.
Of course, when Arminius first promoted his ‘unchosen’ theology in the late sixteenth century the Jews were not uppermost in his mind. Replacement Theology, along with the Jews’ fallen state of affairs, had pretty much taken them out of the running. No, he was mainly trying to counter the teaching of John Calvin who had taught God was graciously drawing to Jesus only those He had pre-chosen to be saved (as John 6:44 clearly states). Arminius insisted God had left it up to each individual to choose his own fate by either his acceptance or rejection of the Gospel. For him man’s free will was inviolable, and God’s free will must bow to it. But that not only undermines God’s sovereignty, it mocks the very definition of a Supreme God…”who works all things after the counsel of His will” (Eph. 1:11).
I bring up this centuries-old controversy of Arminianism because I believe it is contributing greatly to the confusion among believers today regarding the restoration of Israel. For if God is not hand-picking those who are to be His people in the Israel of God, how can He call forth the remnant of Abraham’s seed? Doesn’t the very word ecclesia mean “called-out ones?”
For me, one of the strongest arguments that shows God reserved for Himself the right to choose who He wants as His people is Paul’s teaching on the twin boys, Esau and Jacob. “Though the twins were not yet born, and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, it was said [to their mother], ‘The older shall serve the younger.’ Just as it is written, ’Jacob I loved, and Esau I hated” (Rom. 9:10-13).
Now I don’t believe God actually “hated” Esau. He was just trying to convince Israel of His everlasting commitment to bless them by using strong contrasting language. Malachi even reminds Israel that God’s choice of Jacob over Esau was the proof of His love! (Mal. 1:1-3)
I’m convinced the fact that God has a chosen people has been the underlying cause of anti-Semitism in the world. Look at how angry and jealous Joseph’s brothers became when they saw the extreme favor their father showed towards him.
Nevertheless, that’s how God set it up. That’s why if you have received the gift of faith to believe in Yeshua (of whom Joseph was a foreshadowing) – be in awe! It means you are among those few chosen by Almighty God to be part of the remnant of Abraham and the coming Kingdom of God.
Just don’t be surprised when the world hates you for no apparent reason.

Rabbi Kanievsky: Messiah Could Come This Week - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

“You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.” (Leviticus 19:32)
Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky is one of the most prominent rabbis of this generation. He is a leader of the Haredi branch of Judaism and the author of numerous authoritative books on Jewish law. In a distinctly uncharacteristic manner, he has recently begun making declarations of the Messiah’s imminent arrival.
In a YouTube video posted on November 2nd of a recent lecture by Rabbi Shlomo Boyer, a respected teacher in Bnei Brak, Rabbi Boyer described how Rabbi Shteinman, the leader of Lithuanian Judaism, was about to travel to America for pressing reasons. He went to Rabbi Kanievsky to receive a blessing for a safe journey and success.
Rabbi Kanievsky replied that he should not travel, saying, “It very well could be the Messiah will come this week. He can come at any moment. He is here with us already. Don’t travel.”
The end is near. Are you ready?
Rabbi Kanievsky has dedicated his life to Torah study and is generally not given to messianic or bombastic proclamations, but in the last year, this has changed dramatically. Last year, Rabbi Kanievsky announced the Messiah would come when the Shmittah year ended, which occurred on the Jewish New Year on September 13th. In August, the rabbi advised a young man,  “Gather your family and come to Israel.  Otherwise, there won’t be enough room for you on the airplanes.”  In April, close associates quoted him as instructing listeners to, “Yell it from the loudspeakers. The Messiah is at the door.”
When asked what needs to be done to prepare for the coming of the Messiah, the Rabbi replied that Jews must strengthen their belief and trust in God.
After the massacre of Jews in the synagogue in Har Nof last November, Rabbi Kanievsky was asked to give some words of comfort to the people. He replied that the deaths were an atonement before the arrival of the Messiah, which would be arriving shortly.

Jerusalem Post coverage of the address I gave on the threat of Radical Islam to the Jerusalem Leaders - Joel Rosenberg

Here’s the Jerusalem Post coverage of the address I gave on the threat of Radical Islam to the Jerusalem Leaders Summit.

by joelcrosenberg
JerusalemPost-logo2
Jerusalem Post reporter covered the address I gave last week to the Jerusalem Leaders Summit. Below is the article that was published.
I was also interviewed by two other Israeli reporters at the Summit. If those interviews are published, I will let you know. Please join me in praying that a growing number of U.S., European and Israeli government, business and religious leaders truly understand the threats we face and are committed to protecting their citizens from both Radical Islam and Apocalyptic Islam. Thanks so much.
By Daniel K. Eisenbud, Jerusalem Post, November 4, 2015
The gravest threat facing the world today is indisputably radical Islam, the American-Israeli New York Times best-selling author and former US and Israel political adviser, Joel Rosenberg, said at the Jerusalem Leadership Summit in the capital on Wednesday.
While he emphasized that the vast majority of Muslims are not radicals, Rosenberg, whose debut novel, The Last Jihad, published in 2002, was an international bestseller, contended that even at a fraction of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslim population, the extremists pose an imminent threat.
“If you look at some of the polling that’s been done about the attitudes in the Muslim world, you see that 90% or more are moderate, really peaceful people,” said Rosenberg, during his lecture at the Inbal Hotel, adding that only between 7%-10% of Muslims express approval of radical Islam.
“However, in a world of 1.6 billion Muslims, 10% is 160 million people. That’s half the population of the United States; if you grouped them in one country...you have one of the largest country’s on the planet.”
Therefore, Rosenberg said, he takes issue with US President Barack Obama’s contention that the fight against Muslim terrorists is not a “war against Islam.”
“You cannot say that those in the 160 million category are not driven by Islam,” he said.
“They say they are. You can call it a ‘perversion,’ but you have to understand why they would say that Islam motivates them? Whether that’s pure Islam or not, I’ll leave that to the Islamic scholars.”
Noting that the king of Jordan, Abdullah II, a descendant of Muhammad, has said that “the West is engaged in a third world war against Islamic terrorism,” Rosenberg said that Abdullah has conceded that Muslims themselves must do far more to fight the killers in their midst.
“At its core, King Abdullah says: ‘This is a Muslim problem...we need to take ownership of this. We Muslims need to stand up and say what is right and what is wrong,’” he said.
Moreover, Rosenberg cited Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as recently warning religious leaders at Al-Azhar University that the fight against radical Islam must be fought by moderate Muslims.
“At the Harvard of Sunni Islam, he said directly to the clerics and to the professors: ‘This is your mission. You will be held to account if you do not confront this problem inside Islam,’” Sisi said. “So Muslim leaders say that it is a problem in Islam, and obviously, it is.”
Extrapolating from the unexpected attacks on Pearl Harbor and New York City during 911, Rosenberg said that the theme of his novels is that “to misunderstand the nature and threat of evil is to risk being blindsided by it.”
“We were blindsided by a theology and an ideology... that we did not understand,” he said. “Was it understandable? Yes it was. But did we as leaders in America, and in the West generally, understand it and take it seriously? We did not.”
Rosenberg went on to cite Obama’s “catastrophic” Iranian nuclear deal as a case in point of the inherent dangers of not understanding the consequences of radical Islam. “He believes that he’s Nixon and he’s dealing with China...and that Iran wants to be part of the world’s system, that they feel isolated and left out,” he said.
“So, let’s bring them in... and hope that gradually, they will evolve into a player that we can deal with.”
Such a supposition, Rosenberg warned, is profoundly naïve and dangerous, despite the fact that the majority of Iranians want freedom and to be integrated into the world. “If you base your analysis on the Iranian people, you come to the conclusion that they want engagement,” he said. “The key is the top: the Ayatollah and his inner circle. The question is not what the country wants... the question is what the supreme leader and his inner circle want. What do they believe?” “Because if you misunderstand what they believe,” he continued, “you will be blindsided.”
He contended that Iran, which is far more patient than ISIS, poses the larger threat of genocide.
“Iran’s leadership says: ‘No, we’re not going to build a caliphate now, we’re going to build nuclear weapons because once we’re ready for genocide, we’re not going to use swords and AK-47s, we’re going to use atomic weaponry. We’re going to be able to kill millions, and not just thousands.’” Iran, he warned, is “biding its time.”

Rick Joyner - High Energy Leadership - Prophetic Perspectives

High Energy Leadership

Rick Joyner

Monday, November 9, 2015

In this episode, Rick talks about the difference between decision fatigue and crisis management and their relevance to the presidency. The leader of this country will have to be high-energy and Rick wonders if some of the low-energy candidates could handle the pressure that comes with the top leadership position in the world.
