What Are the Three Parts of Prophecy?

Join us on our new podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

The three parts of prophecy are Revelation, Interpretation, and Application. In order to be effective when we have a word for someone else, or we receive a prophetic word, we need to understand these three aspects of prophecy.
Revelation
What is God saying? The person who delivers the prophetic word is responsible for the revelation of the word. It may come as a dream, a vision, through nature, or many other ways.
Interpretation
What does the revelation mean? Prophetic people need to realize that just because they received the revelation does not mean that they also have the interpretation. We often get into trouble when we try to interpret a prophetic revelation without first receiving God's direction and clarity.
Application
What should we do with the prophetic word once we know what it means? We should always involve wise leaders in our lives when we receive directional prophetic words. They should help us to devise a plan to actually apply the prophetic word to our life and walk it out.
Some time ago, several of us traveled to a conference where there was training on how to prophesy. With about 70 people in the room, we were all prophesying to a woman in the front of the room. We completed the ten prophecies allowed in the prophetic exercise, and then began to judge the words given to the woman. Suddenly, a man in the back of the room stood to his feet and said, "You have a yellow shirt on!"
Immediately the woman fell to the ground, crying hysterically. The man continued to prophesy, saying things like, "The sun is yellow...the moon is yellow," and so on. When the woman finally regained her composure, the leader of the class asked her what the word meant to her.
She explained, "I have a son who is autistic and I told the Lord today, 'If You are going to heal my son, have someone tell me that I have on a yellow shirt. ... '"
The man who delivered this prophetic word stepped out of bounds and tried to give the woman an interpretation of the color yellow. Although the Holy Spirit used the word powerfully in the woman's life, the entire prophetic word was simply, "you have a yellow shirt on."
When God stops speaking, we should too! People who are prophesying often feel pressure to give an interpretation for every prophecy they have, particularly when the prophetic word seems ambiguous or even silly. It is astounding what some people think their prophetic words mean.
The following is a profound example of a powerful prophetic word that was misinterpreted by the person who delivered it. Remember, we don't have to be profound to be powerful.
Why is it important for us to only share what we believe the Holy Spirit is telling us—and not give interpretations unless we are first given clear direction by the Lord?

Foreign Journalist (Italian) Gets Real About Israeli-Palestinian Conflict | Aviel Schneider ISRAEL TODAY.

Foreign Journalist (Italian) Gets Real About Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Wednesday, December 16, 2015 |  Aviel Schneider  ISRAEL TODAY.
“The Palestinians feel the rising threat of ISIS and understand that despite the [negative feelings toward] the Israeli occupation they are more secure under Israeli rule than anywhere else in the region.”
That was one of the conclusions drawn in the new book “Jihad” by Italian journalist Mourizio Molinari, who for the past 15 years served as a Middle East correspondent. Most recently, Molinari was offered the prestigious position of editor-in-chief for one of the largest circulation Italian newspapers, La Stampa.
In an interview with Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot, Molinari explained how Western understanding of the situation in Israel had become increasingly distorted.
For example, “in the Arab village of Duma, following the tragedy of the Dawabshe family, cries for revenge [against the Israelis] were widely published. But villagers told me that while the Jews were indeed their enemies, they had only killed on average three Palestinians a day, while 100 a day were dying in Syria,” Molinari recounted.
Molinari further noted that in the de facto Palestinian capital of Ramallah, local Palestinian entrepreneurs are eager to find Israeli partners.
Similarly, “Palestinians in Ramallah are trying to get their family members living in Jordan to come to Israel, because they understand that only Israel can guarantee their safety,” said the Italian.
For years, Molinari worked twice a week in Ramallah, and recalled some of the many conversations he had with Palestinians over a meal. “I’ve listened as Palestinians sitting next to me at the table called their grandparents or other relatives in Amman, urging them to come to Ramallah.”
But Molinari spent most of his time in Jerusalem, and described life in Israel as both fascinating and challenging. “The average Israeli you meet on the street is very intelligent,” he said. “And you can sit on a bus alone and speak to a grandma and hear the most exciting life story.”
According to Molinari, a majority of Palestinians would be willing to lay down their arms and live in peace with Israel, “but, just as in Israel, they don’t currently see a way forward toward that goal.”
He believes the threat posed by ISIS is an opportunity for Israelis and Palestinians. “ISIS is a threat to both peoples,” he pointed out. “Before it struck Israel and the Jews, ISIS would first annihilate the Palestinians.”

Torah Scroll Being Written to Present to Messiah Upon His Arrival By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Torah Scroll Being Written to Present to Messiah Upon His Arrival

“Now it will come about that In the last days the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths.’ For the Torah will go forth from Zion And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 2:2-3)
Rabbi Yosef Berger, one of the rabbis in charge of King David’s Tomb in Jerusalem’s Old City, has been dreaming of a project for over a year – one Torah scroll to unify all of Israel.
Recent global events have forced Rabbi Berger to move ahead quickly with his dream as he wants to be able to personally present this Torah as a gift to the Messiah. Many prominent rabbis and Kabbalists have told Rabbi Berger that may be very soon indeed.
The inspiration for the project came from the Book of Hosea (3:4-5), in which it is written:
“For the sons of Israel will remain for many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar and without ephod (a sleeveless garment worn by Jewish priests) or household idols. Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days (before Messiah).”
Rabbi Berger explained to Breaking Israel News what this prophecy had a personal meaning for him.
“In the end of days, when Israel realizes that all hope is lost and they have no solution or salvation from their plight, the people of Israel will be wise enough to seek the three things which our ancestors despised: the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of David, and the building of the Temple,” he said.
“It is taught in the Yalkut Shimoni (a collection believed to have been arranged in the 13th century) Samuel 1: 106, ‘Rabbi Shimon Ben Monsia said, “No signs of redemption will be shown to Israel until they seek these three things – the kingdom of heaven , the dynasty of King David, and the building of the Temple.”’”
Rabbi Berger believes that by bringing all of Israel together in the writing of a single Torah scroll housed on Mount Zion, where King David is interred, and adjacent to the Temple mount, he will accomplish all three goals in one action.

Rabbi David Hai Abuhatzeira was honored with writing the first letter of the Torah. Rabbi Abuhatzeira is the grandson of the prominent Moroccan Sephardic mystic Rabbi Israel Abuhatzeira, known as the Baba Sali, renowned for his ability to work miracles through his prayers.
For Kabbalistic reasons which he refused to reveal, Rabbi Abuhatzeira chose to write the Hebrew letter ‘yud’, rather than the first letter, which is a ‘bet’. Rabbi Abuhatzeira urgently instructed the organizers of the project, “Write the Sefer Torah as fast as possible, you don’t have much time!…I hope you have a chance (to finish)!”
“The Messiah will also take part in the process,” Rabbi Abuhatzeira explained. “The nation of Israel will give him this Torah as a gift, as it is written “Whither kings shall bring presents unto Thee” (Psalms 68:29) and “Bring presents unto Him that is to be feared” (Psalms 76:11).”

According to Rabbi Berger, Rabbi Abuhatzeira added that the combined numerologies of the phrases “This year we will merit seeing him” (השנה נזכה לראות אותו) and “The arrival of the Messiah” (ביאת המשי), add up to 5776, the current year according to the Jewish calendar.
Hundreds of letters have already been written in the Torah scroll. Jewish tradition teaches that a Torah scroll contains 600,000 letters, equal to the number of Jews who received the Torah at Mount Sinai.  However, the actual number of letters in a Torah is 304,805, leaving many more opportunities for people to be included in the Klal Yisrael project.
Rabbi Berger realizes that preparing a gift for the Messiah is not a normal type of charity, and his expectations are unique. “Even if someone gives me a million dollars to write many Torahs, it isn’t what I want. I want all of Israel individually to have a part in this Torah,” he explained to Breaking Israel News.
When the Torah is completed, Rabbi Berger plans on having a parade through Jerusalem to dedicate it. The parade will go through every corner of the city in order to include as many people as possible and will finish at the Tomb of King David, where the Torah scroll will be kept.
“We want it to be such a wonderful event that all of Israel will be praising God and asking for him to come and redeem us.”

Jordan Smith Is Crowned The Voice's New Champion

12/15/2015 PEOPLE
Congratulations, Jordan Smith!

On Tuesday, the singer was crowned The Voice's season 9 champion. Emily Ann Roberts placed second, while Barrett Baber and Jeffery Austin rounded out the final four.

After host Carson Daly called his name, Smith, 21, was joined on stage by his coach Adam Levine and family members.

But Smith didn't have long for celebratory hugs. He soon held up the mic and burst into an emotional performance of "Climb Every Mountain." It was a short reminder why his fans – including coaches Blake SheltonGwen Stefani, and Pharrell – fell in love with him after the season debut in September.

Building up to the final reveal on Tuesday, Smith soared alongside Usher while singing the crooner's dance hit "Without You." Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Missy Elliott, and more stars also took center stage for numbers.

Smith – a Lee University college student from Harlan, Kentucky – caught the coaches' attention with his high-pitched voice by nailing Sia's "Chandelier" during blind auditions. But the highlight of his journey came on Dec. 7, when he delivered a stunning rendition of Queen's "Somebody to Love."

"I don't need to say anything at all because that's one of the best things I've ever seen in my entire life," said Levine.

His recording soon raced to the top of the iTunes chart, ending Adele's five-week reign with "Hello."

"I was actually on the red carpet doing press after the show. We were all checking the charts anyway just to see how everybody was doing," Smith told PEOPLE of discovering his achievement. "I opened my phone and saw it and I almost was moved to tears. It was so incredible!"

He struck gold again on Monday, reclaiming the No. 1 spot on iTunes with his spin on Christmas classic "Mary, Did You Know?".

The latest season of NBC's singing competition has spawned not just chart toppers, but also music's new it couple, Shelton and Stefani.

The Voice will come back for a tenth season in 2016, with Christina Aguilera returning to the lineup of coaches as Stefani takes a break to release new music.

"I don't want Gwen to not be on the show," Shelton recently told Extra of the upcoming season. "Why can't we have a fifth coach?"

6 Reasons Why You May Be Waking Up Tired - CHRIS PRITCHARD/NEWSMAX HEALTH CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Do you find yourself waking up tired because you're not sleeping well? You're not alone. Almost 70 million others—slightly more women than men—are sleepless in America for a variety of reasons.
But the good news is that for most sufferers it's a problem that can be easily solved without resorting to expensive sleeping pills or other costly treatments. A half-dozen simple lifestyle changes can improve your sleep quality, experts say.
The first thing to do: Don't allow yourself to be overly concerned about sleeplessness, which can exacerbate the problem, says one of the world's leading sleep experts.
"Tossing and turning while being anxious makes things worse," notes Christopher Magee, an internationally known sleep specialist and psychologist.  "It's a good idea to take a break from trying to sleep. Get up and read or to have a drink of water."
Magee's own research—which has been published in major scientific publications including the Journal of Sleep ResearchPreventive Medicine, and Sleep Medicine—has found that most people experience sleep problems from time to time.
"Occasional poor sleep is quite normal and not a cause for concern," notes Magee, deputy director of the Center for Health Initiatives at Australia's Wollongong University.
But if sleep problems persist for more than a few weeks and adversely affect daily functioning, he says "it's a good idea to seek advice from a health professional."
It's not just the quantity of sleep that matters, but the quality, he adds.
Low-grade sleep, from which you wake tired and exhausted, isn't good for you. Your body and mind need deep sleep for it to be restorative. Poor sleep has been linked to a range of health problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, depression, stroke, and diabetes.
"We should wake feeling rested—not necessarily energetic and full of vigor immediately after waking, but feeling we've had a good sleep," Magee explains.
"Even if people think they've had 'enough' sleep, quality may be poor. If sleep is fragmented, with waking through the night, it reduces time spent in deep, restful sleep. This can contribute to daytime lethargy and fatigue."
What's more, "one size fits all" sleep recommendations don't apply to everyone. Experts divide sleeping patterns into two types: "short" and "long." A tiny minority of people function well on "short" sleeps, defined by doctors as less than six hours nightly, while the vast majority need "long" periods of slumber—seven to nine hours (with eight generally cited as typical).
Magee has identified the following six most common causes of sleeplessness and simple no-cost methods to beat it, based on his own research and the findings of many sleep studies:

● Stress:  "It's a major cause of problems falling asleep and getting good-quality sleep," Magee notes. "Maintaining healthy lifestyles with stress reduction techniques—even just winding down after work—can be beneficial."

● Alcohol: "Though alcohol initially has sleep-inducing effects, research shows it adversely impacts sleep quality, particularly in the latter half of sleep," he explains. "Avoiding excessive consumption of alcohol within a few hours of bedtime is important in promoting good sleep."

● Caffeine: People who drink large amounts of the stimulant caffeine in coffee, energy drinks, or soda are more likely to have problems getting to sleep. "Avoiding caffeine after the early afternoon helps promote good sleep," Magee says.

● Exercise: It's generally good for sleep and overall health but "vigorous bouts just prior to bed increase physiological arousal, making it harder to fall asleep." Magee notes.

● TV and mobile devices: "Cellular devices and electronic media in the bedroom are linked by researchers to poorer sleep. Furthermore, watching excessive TV or prolonged computer use prior to bed can make it harder to fall asleep," he says.

● Poor sleep habits: Studies confirm individuals with irregular bedtimes and wake-up times are likely to have poorer sleep. "Maintaining regular sleep and wake-up times ... benefits physiological regulation of sleep," Magee points out.
He adds that some sleep problems can be caused by more serious health disorders that may require the attention of a medical professional, including chronic insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, and restless legs syndrome.
"There are often measures [available] to minimize the adverse influence of these disorders," Magee notes.
But for most people, occasional insomnia is nothing to lose sleep over, and can be resolved with simple lifestyle adjustments.

Today's Israel Inspiration

In Scripture, the days of Israel's "youth" refer to the years from the Exodus until the entrance into the Land, a period when the eternal relationship between God and the Jewish people was sealed. Despite the sins of the nation, God does not change His mind and promises that He will renew his relationship with them in an "everlasting covenant" and return them to their land. Today, a frightening number of Jewish girls are lured into relationships with Arab men, brought to their villages and abused. An Israeli non-profit organization, "Learn and Return" rescues and returns these youth to the Land, and has saved close to 1000 Jewish girls from being trapped in abusive relationships. Learn and Return reaches out and provides the desperate girls with counseling, safe houses, and a lot of love to restore their self-respect.

Preventing Abuse of
Jewish Girls

Learn & Return is fighting a little-known form of terrorism that targets young Jewish girls in Israel. According to a Knesset report and calls to Israel hotlines, more than 1000 girls a year are entrapped in Arab villages.

Trapped in Arab Villages

During the recent wave of terror, Jewish women in Arab villages were further mistreated.

Stunning Painting of Jerusalem Rebuilt

Inspired by the City of David, this piece depicts Jerusalem restored to its ancient glory. From the pool of the Shiloach we are led up to the Royal residence and above this sits the Holy Temple. The quote from Isaiah declares that with “…joy shall you draw water from the wells of salvation.” Each print is hand-touched with gold.
