How to Steward Prophetic Words - RYAN LESTRANGE CHARISMA MAGAZINE

How to Steward Prophetic Words

The first thing you must do to steward a prophetic word is to examine the vessel. (Lightstock)

Join us on our new podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Prophecy is a very special gift that is given to the church to edify, exhort and comfort the people of God (1 Cor. 14:3). When a church, a ministry or a person embraces a prophetic spirit, there are great revelation, direction and strength that are released.
The prophetic ministry has the potential to be a powerful catalyst of change and progress to the body of Christ. The enemy hates authentic prophetic ministry and will do all that he can to sow seeds of discord and confusion.
"Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophecies. Examine all things. Firmly hold onto what is good" (1 Thess. 5:19-21, MEV).
We are given three instructions in these verses:
1. Do not quench the Spirit! There is so much more that is available to us when we step into the realm of the Spirit.
2. Do not despise the prophetic! No matter how messy it gets or what mistakes are made, we are told to value the flow of prophetic gifts.
3. Prove all things and hold fast to the good. We must learn to discern the real gift of prophecy in our lives.
When we receive a personal prophetic word, we are accountable to properly steward it! Many people have received volumes of prophetic words that have not produced fruit in their lives.
Why? I believe a common reason for unfruitful prophetic words is that we have failed to properly steward what the Lord has said to us. A prophetic word is not the destination but simply the gateway. It is an invitation to the journey but the way we navigate the journey will determine how and if we arrive at the final destination.
The first thing that you must do to steward a personal prophecy is to judge it. Is it a true word from the Lord? Here are some simple tips to recognize and judge personal prophecy:
1. Examine the vessel. The first question to ask is: "Who gave you the word and how was it delivered?" Why is this important? Many times, a wrong word is evidenced by the way it is delivered. I have seen many "parking lot prophets" who roam from church to church to engage in a renegade prophetic ministry that operates outside of any blessing from the house. This creates conflict by speaking to the ambitions of people instead of pure prophetic declaration.
"We ask you, brothers, to acknowledge those who labor among you, and are appointed over you in the Lord, and instruct you" (1 Thess. 5:12, MEV).
You should have some knowledge of a person's character before allowing them to speak into your life. People who claim to be prophets yet disrespect order, tearing down more than they ever build up, are indeed deceived. The problem that arises is that sometimes a deceived person still has an accurate gift that will draw people in.
How can this be?
There are two answers:
  • The gifts and calling of God are without repentance (Rom. 11:29). Simply put, God doesn't remove a gift because a person gets in error. It is quite possible for someone to speak out a prophecy with accuracy but have poor fruit. The other important thing to know is that the highest level of prophetic operation is not just revealing the desires of a human heart; it is releasing the heart of the Father and revealing the end of the matter! Many times, personal prophecy also contains a dimension of rebuke in order to align the recipient with God's heart and plan for him.
  • There is a false spirit in operation. There are many people out there who have opened themselves up to wrong spirits. These individuals have communication in the spirit realm with demonic spirits. They can give accurate information but cannot release the Father's heart because they are blocked by their deception. On more than one occasion, I have seen a spirit of divination operating through someone and mimicking the prophetic. The end result is destruction, which is why knowing the fruit and doing things in order are so important.
2. Judge all prophecies by the written Word of God. "But the one who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted because he has forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins" (2 Pet. 1:9, MEV).
"I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, 'See that you not do that. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy'" (Rev. 19:10, MEV).
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1, MEV).
No prophetic word should disagree with the written Word of God. In fact, the church should actively examine prophetic utterances to make sure that they are in line with God's Word and boldly toss out any that are not. For example, if a person prophesies that a married person is to leave their spouse and marry someone else, that prophecy is a blatant deception and witchcraft at work. If a renegade tries to prophesy to a church member that God wants them to rebel against the leaders, again, this prophecy is a deception and false spirit. Never accept a prophetic word that cannot be properly judged by God's Word.
3. Is it something that God has already been speaking to you? Ask yourself if the word confirms something you've already felt led to do. For example, a person owns a business that God clearly directed him to have and God told him that it is a place of fruitfulness and ministry for him. Then he gets a prophecy that he is to sell the business and start a church. He should never just run out and do that. If the prophetic word does not bear witness in the inner man, then either put it on the shelf, as it could be for a future time, or throw it out. Never make a major decision based on a single prophetic word without any leading of the Spirit in your own life!
4. Get wise counsel. Take the word to trusted advisers and ask them to judge it. "For by wise counsel you will wage your war, and in multitude of counselors there is safety" (Prov. 24:6, MEV).
When judging a personal prophecy, honor your spiritual relationships and seek the input of these trusted individuals. If your parents are godly people, ask them what they think. If you are married, and your spouse is serving the Lord, seek his input. The people who know you best and are committed to God's will for you can often see things that you may not see. Also, seek the input of your spiritual leadership. Go to your pastor or apostolic leadership and ask him for insight. So many times I have seen a prophecy steer someone in the wrong direction and then this person's lack of communication with godly leaders empowered the deception.
Once you have discerned that the prophetic word is accurate and speaking to you, then you must steward it.
Keys:
1. Write it down, record it and keep it in front of you! This is key. You must have a record of the word in order to partner with it.
2. Pray over the word and then declare the word over your life! I have found many times that as I have taken a prophetic word and prayed over it, the Father then gives me further instruction and more direction. This is so vital to steward a prophetic word. Also, the word brings faith and power into your life. Speak the word over your life.
3. Look for promptings and instructions. Most big, bold prophetic words contain miraculous breakthroughs that are beyond human efforts. There are certain promises that take God's power to fulfill. You cannot make the fulfillment happen, but you can obey small, daily instructions and take steps of faith as you advance in the will of God for your life. For example, if the word is about financial breakthrough, it may be that the Lord deals with you about sowing and stewardship. Listen for His instructions. Many times, prophetic words create forward motion in your life.
4. Rest in faith and patience. You cannot tell God when or how the word comes to pass. You must rest in the reality that in the spirit, the fulfillment of the word is done! That is what faith is—the realization that it is finished. There is no worry about the matter when you are in faith. Our Father partners with patience. Patience is the ability to wait without being anxious. There are many lessons in the process of waiting. Find the beauty in the journey and trust God with the timing.
Let's value the prophetic words spoken over us and fight for them to come to pass! We can all learn to do better in stewarding the move of God and His promises in our lives.

Conduits of His Glory by Elaine Tavolacci - Identity Network

Conduits of His Glory

by Elaine Tavolacci

Identity Network
As Spirit filled believers, the Lord has given us the privilege and the honor to be carriers of His Glory.  We are living in a season where everything that can be shaken is being shaken. Nevertheless, as believers, we should not be moved by what is happening in the natural because we are the people who are going to release His Kingdom to this earth as it is in heaven.  We are coming into a time when the body of Christ will demonstrate the Kingdom of God around the world just as it was in the book of Acts.  We are the conduits of His Glory.

The Lord says, no matter how things appear to be in the natural, you shall see My glory return.  Just as in the days of old, I will pour out My Spirit once again.  You will see wonders in the heavens above, and signs in the earth below.  As you observe the days getting darker, I will raise up people to be My Light bearers to annihilate the manifestations of the kingdom of darkness.  I am about to release My anointing in an unprecedented way.  As the darkness increases, you will also see My Glory accelerate beyond what you have ever known.

You have been chosen as carriers of My presence to release the atmosphere of heaven wherever you go.  As I said in My Word: I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh, your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.  I am seeking those who will be conduits and advance My kingdom with great exploits.  As you continually refresh yourself in My presence, the gifts that I have imparted to you will be cultivated.

You will Surely See My Goodness

In this season, many will have Spiritual encounters that are uncommon to man.  As you allow Me to transform you, you will mature and develop into My image.  As you allow Me into your churches, you will receive a new and fresh outpouring.  Don't resist nor quench what I am doing.  Don't settle for less than what I have for you.  As you nurture and protect that which I have placed on the inside of you, you will be able to discern My ways.  As you come before Me in prayer and fasting, I will equip you for the days ahead.

You will understand how to encounter Me through an intimate relationship as you read My word, stay steadfast in My word, intercede for others and pray in the Spirit with perseverance and determination.  You will then discover the valuable treasures that I have placed on the inside of you.  As you come before Me with great expectation, stand confident knowing that you will surely see My goodness prevail in the land of the living says the Lord.

John 14:20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog - Seven more reasons a Trump presidency would be a catastrophe.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

Seven more reasons a Trump presidency would be a catastrophe. Trump must be stopped.

by joelcrosenberg
Today is Super Tuesday. Barring a miracle, Donald J. Trump will win decisive victories across the nation. Despite saying some of the most despicable things I've ever heard any  presidential candidate in either party say, Trump continues rising in the polls. Many analysts believe he's well on the road to winning the Republican nomination for president.
This would be an utter disaster. The threat Trump poses to the health and well-being of the American people and her republic cannot be overstated. Trump must be stopped.
On January 31st, I published a column laying out "32 reasons a Trump presidency would be a catastrophe for America." I provided links to one direct quote after by Donald Trump himself demonstrating how unprepared he would be for the presidency. I also provided evidence that he is trying to hoodwink Evangelical Christians into thinking he is one of us, and and that he is trying to hijack the conservative moment by claiming to support conservative policies today that have not been his positions for the rest of his decades in the public spotlight.
But every few days, we learn more about this man that shows how completely disqualified he is from serving as President, and how dangerous he would be as Commander-in-Chief.
What follows are seven more reasons. Study them carefully. They are chilling. The former head of the Ku Klux Klan is actively supporting Trump. This former KKK Grand Wizard is urging his supporters to do everything possible to elect Trump. White supremacists all over the country are supporting Trump. Trump is happily re-Tweeting their praise of him. When Trump has been asked to condemn the KKK and its leaders and all white supremacists and reject their votes, he repeatedly refuses to do so.
But that's not all. Trump has repeatedly praised Chinese and North Korean communist leaders for how they violently suppress pro-democracy dissenters in their countries. Trump has criticized past Soviet leadership for not using more violence to suppress the pro-democracy in the USSR. What's more, Trump repeatedly calls for violence against those who disagree with him and those who protest him at his campaign rallies.
I strongly urge you to carefully read through these examples. Click on the links and read the articles carefully. Share this material with family and friends. There are many more example, but these are important to focus on right now.
If you are in one of the Super Tuesday states, please go vote today for a serious, sound conservative. Vote for a candidate who has a realistic, serious chance of stopping Trump, winning the nomination, and putting a conservative in the White House next January. At this point, that would be either Sen. Marco Rubio or Sen. Ted Cruz. Yes, both have flaws and weaknesses. But both are born again Christians. Both believe in the Constitution. Either would be vastly better than Mr. Trump.
Even though Lynn and I are living overseas with our sons, we are still American citizens, and gladly so. We deeply love the United States. We are deeply burdened by how dangerous this moment is, that the GOP could end up nominating a man like Trump. We are horrified that many Evangelical Christians are either actively helping Trump, or making excuses for him, or not registering or turning out to vote against him and for someone who really is qualified to be President.
We are proud legal residents of Virginia. Thus, we have voted by Absentee Ballot. We are not going to say who we voted for you. Prayerfully make your own decision. But we definitely voted against Trump.
Have you voted yet? The stakes for America are incredibly high. Do your civic duty. And pray faithfully, earnestly, and consistently throughout today -- and the days ahead -- that the Lord would block Mr. Trump and have mercy on the country.
  1. Last month, David Duke, a white supremacist who was once Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, announced he was supporting Trump, and urged his followers to do all they could to help Trump get elected. "Voting against Donald Trump at this point is really treason to your heritage,” Duke said on the David Duke Radio Program Wednesday. “I do support his candidacy, and I support voting for him as a strategic action. I hope he does everything we hope he will do.”
  2. Trump was asked three times on CNN to "unequivocally condemn David Duke and say that you don't want his vote or that of other white supremacists?" and three times he refused to do so. [See also, Donald Trump Refuses to Condemn KKK, Disavow David Duke Endorsement, a story in Time magazine.]
  3. Last week, 62% of the messages Trump re-Tweeted were from white supremacists. "Is Trump riling up the white nationalists by lending them his 5-million-follower megaphone whenever they praise him?" asked one reporter. "Or are racists, who love Trump for his anti-immigration polemics, just more likely than others to send [him]...the kind of praise he likes to retweet? " {See also this article in the New York Times, "Donald Trump’s Message Resonates With White Supremacists"; and a press release from the Anti-Defamation League, "ADL to Donald Trump: Distance Yourself from White Supremacists and Disavow Their Ideology."]
  4. David Duke told Fox News, "Do whatever you need to get elected."
  5. Trump has praised the ruthless dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, for how he "wipes out" his political opponents. “You’ve got to give him credit," Mr Trump said. "How many young guys — he was like 26 or 25 when his father died — take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden — you know, it’s pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that?...[H]e goes in, he takes over, he’s the boss. It’s incredible....He wiped out the uncle, he wiped out this one, that one. This guy doesn’t play games and we can’t play games with him. Because he really does have missiles and he really does have nukes."
  6. Trump has praised the Chinese communists for the way they brutalized pro-democracy protestors in Tianamen Square in 1989 and has said he thinks the Communist government in the Soviet Union weren't brutal enough suppressing dissent. “Russia is out of control and the leadership knows it," Trumptold a reporter in 1990. "That’s my problem with Gorbachev. Not a firm enough hand.” His interviewer asked, “You mean firm hand as in China?” Trump answered, “When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength. That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak … as being spit on by the rest of the world.”
  7. Trump often talks about wanting to engage in violence, particularly against those who disagree with him. Last November, Trump directed his private security detail to an African American protestor, saying, “Get him the hell out of here, will you, please? Get him out of here. Throw him out!” His supporters proceeded to punch and kick the man. Later, Trump defended his supporters, telling Fox News, “Maybe he should have been roughed up, because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing." At a campaign rally in early February, Trump urged his supporters to "beat the crap" out of people who might disrupt the event by throwing tomatoes -- and then promised to pay their legal fees if they got in trouble."So if you see someone getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of ‘em. Would you? Seriously. Ok? Just knock the hell—I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise." Later that month at another campaign rally, security removed an unruly protester, but Trump said he wished stronger action could be taken. “The guards are being very gentle with him,” Trump said. “I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell you that.”
This man cannot be allowed to become the President of the United States. God have mercy on each of us, and on this great country.
[This column is based on my personal beliefs and opinions. I share them in my personal capacity as an American citizen and an author. They do not reflect the views of The Joshua Fund, which is a non-profit organization and takes no political or legislative positions.]

Is the Veil and Hardening Over Israel Being Lifted? - GRANT BERRY CHARISMA NEWS

The Book of Romans
Standing With Israel

Note: As we quickly approach the last days before Yeshua/Jesus returns, the mystery to awaken and restore Israel into the family in the One New Man, becomes paramount in God's Glory plan to establish His kingdom upon the earth. In this light, the Holy Spirit is shifting His focus onto a very necessary spiritual restoration that must occur between Jew and Gentile members of the family of God, so that His end-time plan can be realized through us. We call this The Reconnection, where both groups are intricately linked and greatly in need of one another, yet presently, the family of God is quite divided and separate.
As a result, I am beginning a new series called, "What is The One New Man?" In these articles we will explore and re-examine the pertinent Scriptures on The One New Man, as well as issues relating to Israel and the Church, and we will interview leaders from both sides of the family to gain a better understanding. However, the main goal is to help bring the body of Messiah/Christ into a greater unity and depth of understanding of this mystery; not through a Gentile or Jewish lens, but rather through our Father's eyes and heart, who longs for His family to be one and to be united into His end-time purposes and plans—in order for us to be mobilized us into the fray (John 17:23).
If you haven't read part 1 of this article, which lays the foundation for a better understanding of Romans 11, please click here.
Romans 11 Continued
So, what is the first thing that the apostle Paul writes to us in Romans 11 about the people of Israel? He asks us a question. In fact in the first 11 verses he actually asks three questions and all of them refer to the fate, path and outcome of the Jewish people—each with a different consequence. The first relates to the part of Israel who believe in Yeshua, the second to those who do not and the blindness that is upon them, and the third speaks of the balance of Israel that is to be restored towards or near the end, who are still veiled.
Except with his third question and response, he uses the rest of the chapter to explain this complexity to the church (those who rejected and are still blinded), and God's redemptive heart and position toward His first-born children, who will ultimately be restored. Indeed I believe that everything he has written and explained to us thus far in these three vital chapters (9-11) of Romans concerning Israel and the church, is so that we may fully grasp and comprehend this mystery that surrounds Israel's spiritual restoration towards the end, as well as our most significant role to help in this process.
This is highly significant to us during these days that we gain a fresh understanding of these verses. For there are many of us in the church who have over spiritualized these Scriptures now believing that the Israel of God is found solely in the church. Actually downgrading Israel's role to that of any other nation or people, while Paul makes clear to us that they are a covenant people (verse 27), and that their call and gifts are irrevocable (verse 29), which is not only crucial to our understanding, but also to our eschatology.
With all due respect, I believe this theology to be incorrect, because the bride is not complete and ready until physical Israel is properly restored to the family of God, which is very different from what is mostly taught today in the church. For Israel is the missing piece of the puzzle, not only with the re-establishment of the Jewish branches with the current remnant of Jewish believers, but also with Israel's final spiritual awakening, which comes with the final harvest of souls toward the end of the age (Romans 11:25-27).
Art-One-New-ManIn fact, I believe that our reconnection to our Jewish roots is the final act of restoration for the church, which not only prepares us for His coming to establish a Messianic kingdom upon the earth, but also to aid in the balance of Israel's salvation. What an honor! For did not Jesus tell us that the first would be last and did He not tell them that you will not see me again until you say, "Baruch Haba B'Shem Adonai – Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 23:39). In other words, it is not until they are spiritually awakened that they will be able to make such a comment.
So, let's take a look at these questions and responses and the three paths of the Jewish people with their ultimate journey to faith.
Path No. 1 and the First Question – the Remnant
"Did God reject His people? By no means!.... So too at this present time there is a remnant chosen by grace." Here, Paul addresses the first issue that relates to the Jewish remnant who believes in Yeshua.  Through Elijah's experience with Israel's apostasy who thought he was the only one left who believed, Paul explains to us from the time of Jesus to this present day there would be a remnant of Jewish people who would believe.
Indeed, Jewish believers founded the church and they took the gospel out to the nations, so the rest of God's family could be grafted into the faith. And over the first century there were a decent number of Jewish people who actually believed. These Scriptures have also applied to a remnant of Jewish believers coming to faith over the centuries up until this modern day and from the time of Yeshua/Jesus to now, there have always been a small remnant of Jewish believers coming to faith.
Path No. 2 and the Second Question – Those Veiled
"What then? What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, as it is written: 'God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.'"
Charisma.png
Much can be said about this explanation, especially regarding our understanding of the timing of Israel's hardening. Did it come upon them, because they rejected Yeshua, or was it already on them before Messiah/Christ came? In my 2nd book The Ezekiel Generation, I dedicated a whole chapter to this subject, in our understanding of the different veils upon mankind (Chapter 8), and how they actually came about. I would encourage you to read it.
While we can trace the explanation to this hardening of Israel to the Torah (five books of Moses) in the book of Deuteronomy (29:4), we are also aware that all humankind's hearts are veiled to God as a result of sin, which naturally hardens. However, it is not until Israel and Judah totally abandoned God to their idols that the Lord commands Isaiah to proclaim a blindness and deafness upon them, which has remained to this day (Isaiah 6:9,10). And it is to this Scripture that I believe the apostle Paul is referring to here. Regardless, those of Israel whose eyes were not opened remained under this curse, up UNTIL the appointed time when this veil will be removed (verses 25-26).
Path No. 3 and the Third Question – Israel Restored
"Again I ask: Did they stumble beyond recovery? Not at all!"
Again Paul questions us, however this time it relates solely to those Jewish people who have still not believed and remain under the veil. Please note however, that they are still referred to as Israel in this text (verse 11).
Did they stumble beyond recovery? Not at all! And Paul makes clear to us that there is a future redemption for Israel that is still to come. For what else can these Scriptures refer to? And one must ask the question as to why the church fathers did not see this when Scripture is so clear concerning Israel's ultimate restoration. Paul writes ... "How much greater riches will their fullness bring! ... For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? ... And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. ... After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! ... I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening IN PART UNTIL the full number of Gentiles has come in, and IN THIS WAY all Israel will be saved" (Romans 11:11-27).
Unequivocally, the veil and hardening over Israel will be lifted. If we are willing to accept it, it is already begun through the Messianic Movement and the many thousands of Jewish believers who are now coming to faith during these days. Please note here that since Israel took back possession of Jerusalem in 1967, more Jewish souls have come to Messiah than in the last 1900 years put together.
This is the first part of this mystery to be revealed and according to Scripture there will be a mass awakening of Israel of a final remnant—a turning to the Lord with a great repentance (Zechariah 12:10). But will this happen between God and Israel alone, or is His church the catalyst to help bring this about? To be continued ...

WW3: Fighters From Turkey Are Pouring Into Syria And Attacking Targets Despite The Ceasefire - Michael Snyder The Economic Collapse Blog

Middle East Map

Posted: 29 Feb 2016 Michael Snyder  The Economic Collapse Blog

The ceasefire in Syria is a joke.  Turkish military units continue to mass along the border, and militants are pouring across the border to attack targets in northern Syria.  The Prime Minister of Turkey is now openly admitting that his government is supporting the militants that are trying to overthrow the Syrian government, and the Turkish government has also made it abundantly clear that they have no plans to stop shelling the Kurds on the other side of the border.  So despite the “ceasefire”, the truth is that the threat of World War 3 breaking out in the Middle East is greater than ever.

At times it is difficult to see the dividing line between the Turkish military and the radical jihadists that are hopping back and forth across the border with the full support of the Turkish government.  Over the weekend, militants from Turkey that crossed over into northern Syria were supported by artillery fire from the Turkish military as they attacked a key Kurdish town
In the Raqqa province, a group of some 100 fighters crossed into Syria from Turkey. The group later joined forces with other militants and attacked the Kurdish town of Tell Abyad.
The 250-strong group was supported by artillery fire from the Turkish territory, a fact that Russia said the US should explain. The Kurdish YPG militia fended off the attack, the report said.
This is an act of war, and yet the Obama administration does not seem to mind.
If Turkey will not even honor the ceasefire, what hope is there that anything will be able to stop them from acting so aggressively?

At this point, the Turks are not even pretending anymore.  Just the other day, Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu openly admitted that his nation is backing the militants that are trying to overthrow the Assad regime…
How would they be able to defend themselves if there was no Turkish support of the Syrian people? … If there’s today a real moderate Syrian opposition, it’s because of the Turkish support. If today the [Assad] regime isn’t able to control all the territories [it’s] because of Turkish and some other countries’ support,” he told Al-Jazeera earlier this week.
Obviously this ceasefire is not going to work.  Turkey has not even pressed pause in their relentless campaign against the Assad regime and the Kurds.

The Turkish government has become absolutely obsessed with their neighbor to the south, and that is a very dangerous thing for the rest of the planet.  The only way that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and their allies are going to be able to win the war now is to conduct a massive ground invasion of Syria.  Such a move would lead to direct conflict with Iran, Hezbollah and the Russians, and since Turkey is a member of the NATO alliance, that could threaten to drag the U.S. and western Europe into the war as well.  The following comes from the International Business Times
The wider consequences of any disagreement between Ankara and Moscow could lead to a standoff between Russia and NATO. Jen Stoltenberg, secretary general of the Brussels-based organization, said in late 2015 that it would be prepared to defend the member state of Turkey if it were attacked by Russia.
“NATO will defend you, NATO is on the ground, NATO is ready,” Stoltenberg said in the aftermath of repeated breaches of Turkish airspace by Russian jets and just one month before Ankara shot down a Russian jet in November.
The 28-country alliance is bound by Article 5 of its treaty to collectively defend its members. “Collective defense means that an attack against one ally is considered as an attack against all allies,” the article states.
Saudi Arabia does not appear ready to back down either.

The Saudis continue to reiterate their position that either Assad must go peacefully or he will be removed by force
Saudi Arabia is prepared to send troops to Syria if President Bashar Assad doesn’t resign and leave his war-torn nation peacefully. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir warned Sunday that his country will take military action if Syria violates the terms of a ceasefire agreement.
“I believe that abiding by the truce would be an important indicator of the seriousness to reach a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis that would include setting up a transitional council and the transfer of power from Bashar to this council,” he said during a joint press conference with his Danish counterpart Kristian Jensen in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
Al-Jubeir warned that Saudi Arabia has prepared a “Plan B.” If “the coalition decided to send ground troops into Syria, Saudi Arabia is ready to contribute,” he said.
The goal since 2011 has been to get rid of Assad so that Syria could become a full-fledged Sunni nation with a Sunni government.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey and their allies have poured enormous amounts of money and resources into this conflict, and they don’t appear to be willing to walk away now that the tide of the war has turned.  In fact, how the Saudis have been behaving lately has been causing a tremendous amount of anxiety in the Middle East…
Saudi Arabia’s recent actions have caused a great deal of anxiety within its region. On February 4, a military spokesman suggested that Saudi Arabia was ready to send troops ground troops to fight ISIS in Syria. A week later Saudi Arabia announced that it will send combat aircraft and soldiers to Turkey to participate in the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS.
Three days later the Saudis launched “Northern Thunder,” described as the “largest military exercise in the history of the Middle East.” Participants from 20 countries sent troops to the maneuvers run over three weeks in Hafar al Batin in northern Saudi Arabia, not far from the Iraqi and Kuwaiti border. According to a Saudi media outlet, some 350,000 troops were expected to participate in the maneuvers.
So if Saudi Arabia, Turkey and their allies are preparing for war, then what is the purpose of the ceasefire?

Well, first of all the goal was to stop the bleeding.  The Sunni militants were losing ground steadily, and this pause will enable them to regroup and get resupplied.

Secondly, this pause in the action gives “the coalition” time to move forces into position for a potential ground invasion of Syria.

But more than anything else, this ceasefire seems to be a trap.  It appears to be inevitable that the U.S. and other western powers will accuse Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and the Syrian government of breaking the ceasefire, thus providing “legal justification” for “the coalition” to militarily intervene.

Watch developments in Syria very closely.  Many had hoped that this ceasefire would bring the five year civil war to an end, but the truth is that it could just be setting the stage for something far, far bigger.
