Eschatology Expert Under Fire for Spiritual Insight Into Raging Protests

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Eschatology expert and end-times author Joel Richardson is under fire for speaking spiritual insight into escalating violence and protests in the United States.
In a segment for the Jim Bakker Show, Richardson says, "When I look at these sort of things, I look at the rage. There's a spirit of rage that has just swept the nation.
"I look at the riots in Berkley, they're burning things, and Ferguson and this sort of thing, I go, 'OK, what's behind this? What's the spiritual issue?' Because look, black lives matter, there's a very sacred issue there that much of the black community feels, and that's legitimate, but then Satan comes along, and he subverts it."
The mainstream media is livid at his insight, though.
Richardson calls headlines about him "Fake news."
One person even sent him an email calling him the "prawn of satan."
"Obviously their click-bait title misrepresents entirely what I said," Richardson tweeted.
But Richardson doesn't appear to be backing away from those who question his insight.
For social media users who doubt the spirit of rage, Richardson shared recent pictures, videos and stories about the reaction to many of President Donald Trump's policies and other politically motivated protests.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog - President Trump: Tell Mahmoud Abbas the Palestinian Authority must stop paying the families of terrorists.

President Trump: Tell Mahmoud Abbas the Palestinian Authority must stop paying the families of terrorists.

by joelcrosenberg
(Jerusalem, Israel) -- Today, President Trump will meet with Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas and his top advisors at the White House.
Good. The Palestinian people continue to struggle with immense poverty, unemployment, corruption, and a culture of terrorism and radicalism. They need friends in government, the church and the private sector who will show them honor and compassion. They also need friends who will "speak the truth in love." (Ephesians 4:15)
Today's gathering is the latest in a series of meetings Mr. Trump is having with the leaders of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries. I applaud him for building these relationships and strengthening vital alliances.
In this context, it is critical that Mr. Trump uses today's meeting to tell Mr. Abbas in no uncertain terms that the PA must stop paying the families of Palestinian terrorists who injure and kill Americans and Israelis.
Indeed, Mr. Trump should tell Mr. Abbas that Congress will pass -- and he will sign -- the "Taylor Force Act," legislation that specifically forbids the PA from rewarding Palestinian terrorists, and prevents the U.S. from providing foreign aid to the PA if they continue funding terrorism.
report by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, an Israel-based research center run by former Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Dore Gold, found that "overall, the PA pays about 1.152 billion shekels ($303 million) in the 2016 budget as terror-related salaries and allowances. This equals about seven percent of the overall budget."
"The PA payment of salaries to the imprisoned terrorists and to the families of the dead terrorists is anchored in a series of Palestinian laws and government decrees, chiefly Laws No. 14 and No. 19 of 2004, and Law No. 1 of 2013," noted the report.
It is impossible to move forward with any kind of peace process if the Palestinian government is paying more than $300 million a year to reward families of terrorists. The Israeli government has called for an immediate repeal of this PA law and practice. The U.S. and other Arab governments should do so, as well, in order to truly move the prospects for real and lasting peace forward.
“I think the first test of peace is to say to them, ‘Hey, you want peace? Prove it. Confront terrorism, stop rewarding terrorism, stop paying it terrorists,’” Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu recently said during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News.
Unfortunately, a senior PA cabinet minister says the PA will continue to pay incarcerated terrorists.
"Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas 'outright rejects' Israeli demands to halt payments to prisoners held by Israel, Palestinian Authority Prisoner Affairs Minister Issa Qaraqe said Saturday," reported the Times of Israel.
This is unacceptable. The Palestinian people have it hard enough. They need better leadership than this. The Palestinian government should be nurturing an environment to create jobs and economic growth, not terrorism.
Let us pray -- and press -- for real change. Starting now.

Israelis expect big things from Trump's upcoming visit - Israel Today

Israelis expect big things from Trump's upcoming visit

Wednesday, May 03, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
US President Donald Trump is expected to visit Israel later this month, and many believe he's going to use the occasion to drop a couple of diplomatic bombshells.
First, according to Israel's Yediot Ahronot daily, Trump will renege on his election promise to move the US embassy back to Jerusalem.
Many speculate that it is, in fact, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government that are blocking the move, which Trump would make if the matter were entirely up to him. (see the upcoming June issue of Israel Today Magazine for more on this)
But the second bombshell should assuage some of Israelis' disappointment over the first.
Yediot further reports that Trump plans to make a public statement reversing official US foreign policy and explicitly recognizing a united Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
At the same time, it was reported that Trump will express support for the birth of a Palestinian state as a result of a bilateral agreement.
Of course, as past US presidents have learned, the Palestinian leadership will accept no deal that doesn't include Israel's surrender of Jerusalem.

God Gives Muslim Man a Vision of a 'Man in White' and Heals Him in the Dream

Nabil* and his family were refugees and had recently settled in a small apartment that happened to be near a Christian named Greg. Nabil found work at the lowest rung of the income ladder, as a manual laborer.
But one day Nabil suffered a severe ankle injury that kept him off the job. Greg began visiting Nabil's apartment regularly to help him rehabilitate, according to a report by Frontiers.
But after months of therapy and rest, Nabil's ankle was still so swollen that he could only take a few tentative steps across the apartment. It seemed it would take several more months before he would be pain-free and able to return to his demanding physical work.
But one day Greg called Nabil and was surprised by an urgency in Nabil's voice. "Greg, I need to see you immediately! Come over now and bring your Bible."
When Greg entered the apartment, Nabil didn't even say hello. "A man in white came to me in a vision and told me to get a Bible," he gushed.
Greg suddenly noticed his friend walking limp-free. "What's happened to your ankle?" he asked.
"A man in white healed it," Nabil said. A few nights earlier, this man in white appeared to him in a dream and led him into a beautiful garden-like paradise. At the entrance to the garden, the man told him that he must read the Bible and that it would lead him to life, according to Frontiers.
"Then I told the man about my injured ankle. He laid his hands on it, and it was healed."
Nabil watched as the Christ-like figure blessed each of his children. His 1-year old son, born with a genetic condition, came forward. The man laid his hand on the boy and said to Nabil, "I will heal your son, he will be well."
When Nabil woke up, he touched his ankle and knew it was healed. He went to his son and was amazed to see a difference in his appearance. Within three days, the 1-year old began crawling, standing, and speaking words for the first time.
Greg listened to Nabil's story with wonder. The two men began to praise the Great Physician, Jesus, the God who heals.
The next day Greg went back to Nabil's apartment and gave him a Bible. He reported the heavenly messenger appeared to him a second time!
"The light came to me again last night with a message!" In this remarkable dream he was told, "A great sign—a beautiful message—is coming to you tomorrow. The sign is so great that it must be shared all over the world and with every person."
"Greg, what is the sign?" Nabil asked. "You have it, don't you?"
Greg pointed to the Bible. "The message is here. Jesus is the sign. Jesus sets us free from sin to give us new life. Let's read it together, Nabil."
As a result of the two powerful dreams, the Word and the Spirit touched Nabil, he was born again and is growing in his new faith with Greg's help.

Israel condemns UNESCO vote

Israeli politicians from across the political spectrum slam 'anti-Semitic' UNESCO vote denying Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem.

Gary Willig,

Israeli leaders from across the political spectrum slammed the UNESCO vote to deny Israel's right to sovereignty over its capital city of Jerusalem Tuesday.
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that fewer nations supported Tuesday's resolution than had supported similar anti-Israel UNESCO resolutions last year.

“Over the last two days I’ve had numerous conversations with various heads of state and foreign ministers about the absurd vote at the UN. The result is that a number of countries that support this absurd proposal is shrinking,” he says. “A year ago it was 32, six months ago it dropped to 26, and now its down to 22 countries,” Netanyahu said.

“I still want to make a systematic and consistent effort to reduce this even further, because these kinds of votes have no place at the UN,” Netanyahu added.

“Today there are more countries that support Israel or abstain than countries that oppose Israel,” he adds. “Its a change, for the first time.”

Opposition leader Yizthak Herzog called the resolution anti-Semitic.

“This [UNESCO resolution] is an anti-Semitic and anti-Israel disgrace that distorts the history of the Jewish people and their unshakable connection to their capital, Jerusalem,” Herzog said.

“This is a miserable, baseless and aggressive decision that will find itself in the garbage can of history, just like the accusation that Zionism is racism," Herzog added.

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said: “UNESCO’s expected political decision only harms the organization — which is supposed to preserve heritage and culture — by repeatedly misusing its role when it comes to Israel.”

“Israel does not need approvals from political bodies to connect the unshakable historical connection to our eternal capital, a connection that is over 3,000 years old and cries out from each and every stone in this city," she added.

Israeli President Reuvin Rivlin told foreign ambassadors gathered at his residence to celebrate Israel's Independence Day that their governments should respond to the resolution by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving their embassies there.

“It is time to put an end to the absurd. It is time to recognize Jerusalem, as the official capital of the State of Israel. De facto, not just de jure. It is time to move all the official embassies here, to Jerusalem,” Rivlin said.

22 nations voted to pass the resolution declaring that Israel's sovereignty over Jerusalem is null and void. 10 nations opposed the resolution while 23 nations abstained.

Day of Praise at Ramat Rachel with the CJCUC
Independence Day, May 2, 2017  Jerusalem, Israel

This 69th Independence Day in Israel, after a picnic in the Sacher Park, I attended the Day To Praise gathering at the Ramat Rachel Conference Center in southeast Jerusalem. The CJCUC (The Center For Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation) began this event in 2014 during Sukkot. Now Orthodox Jews and Christians are coming together to have these Hallel (praise) services, enjoying music, messages and reciting a series of Psalms on Independence Day also, here in Jerusalem and around the world.

From their website:

In January of 2008, a historical moment took place between the Synagogue and Church, when Rabbi Shlomo Riskin and David Nekrutman established the first Orthodox Jewish institution, the Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding & Cooperation (CJCUC), to religiously dialogue and actively cooperate with Christians. In less than a decade, CJCUC has moved to the forefront of theological advancements in Jewish-Christian relations. CJCUC has changed the paradigm by interfacing with tens of thousands of Christians through bible studies, faith based events that bring Jews and Christians together, and providing humanitarian aid.

Several Christian groups had representatives taking part in this “shouldering together”, including Sharon Sanders from Christian Friends of Israel and Bridges for Peace personnel.
