5 Ways to Stop Strife in an Instant

Spirit-Led Woman
That familiar sick feeling sank in my stomach. Actually, it felt more like someone had just punched me in the stomach and then sent an elephant to sit on my chest.
My shoulders sank under the weight that I had felt so many times before.
It seemed to me that the very moment I thought I had moved on from the hurt and disappointment, something would propel me back to square one where I was forced to work through it all over again.
Will this ever stop? Will this person ever stop hurting me?
To find answers we have to ask the right questions.
"Will this ever stop? Will this person ever stop hurting me?" aren't questions that can be answered. However, we can answer the question "How many times do I have to forgive?"
Actually, this question has been both asked and answered before. Peter asked the question, and Jesus answered him in Matthew 18. Actually, the whole chapter is worth examining because the entire chapter deals with how we resolve conflicts.
Most people skip past verses 1-14, focusing only on verses 15-17 for biblical conflict resolution. But that is step 4. If you skip steps 1-3 and fail to do step 5, you will have the whole process out of balance!
5 Things Jesus Taught Us  About Conflict Resolution
1. We need humility. Matthew 18 opens with the disciples asking Jesus about who will be greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus' answer likely surprised them—maybe even disappointed a little—when He told them that they had to have the humility of a little child.
Oftentimes, when people talk about this familiar passage, they stop there. But Jesus went on to say that if anyone causes a child to sin, it would be better for that they be drowned in the sea. What is He saying?
He is saying that the kingdom of heaven first of all requires humility. This is a basic requirement for living the Christian life! When we fail to walk in humility, many of our actions, choices and words will not only be offensive, they will cause us to stumble in our own walk with the Lord.
Proverbs warns, "Pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall." Pride is what caused Lucifer to be cast from heaven. It is dangerous to the believer!
2. Offenses will come. If we suppose we can walk through this life and never be offended, we are living in a fairy tale. The question isn't whether or not we'll ever be offended, but how will we deal with that offense. However, Jesus warned us that it is a serious and dangerous thing to offend someone. He said, "For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes."
While He was talking within the context of children, there is a broader context that we see in this whole chapter—and that context is the body of Christ. Believers.
Dear saints, we must remember two things:
a) We will be offended. It will happen. We shouldn't be surprised when it does.
b) We must live our lives in a serious manner because it is a serious thing to offend another believer or cause them to fall!
3. Jesus still loves the believer who has fallen and we need to love them too. The parable of the Great Shepherd who searches for the lost sheep is most often shared in context of Jesus searching for lost souls. But this is an incorrect context! The sheep was already part of the fold, but became lost.
Jesus shares this story in context of a believer who has fallen away!
The sheep wandered off and got lost, just as believers sometimes wander off into sin. It's painful to the whole body when a believer falls into sin! But what should our response be?
Many times the response is gossip thinly disguised as a "prayer request." Other times, for whatever reason, we fail to reach out them and try to restore them. Yet this is our responsibility as the body of Christ, to restore a fallen brother.
How do we do this?
4. There is a biblical approach to offense and restoration. One thing that often disturbs me is how often conflict is aired over the Internet, on blogs and social media. What is worse is Christians' response. It's like they grab a bowl of popcorn and enjoy the show. This is not only a bad testimony, it is a destructive to the body!
Jesus said that there is a 4-step process:
a) Go to him alone and confront him. Don't tell anyone else! Not disguised as a prayer request or in any other way. Jesus said, "go and tell him his fault between you and him alone."
b) If he won't listen, take with you one or two more. Don't slander him. Don't write him off. Try again, and this time with one or two trusted believers who know how to keep a confidence and intercede for a lost soul.
c) If he still won't listen, tell it to the church. Why should we tell it to the church? The body needs to know how they can intercede on behalf of one of their own to see healing and restoration. This isn't about shaming a member. It is about giving the whole body an opportunity to pray and intercede for a member who has fallen away. It is about love and grace!
d) If he stubbornly refuses to listen to the church, he must be a heathen and tax collector. This final step is a drastic measure that is taken in hope that by being cut off from the fellowship two things will happen. 1. The rebellious man in his sin will not infect and defile the body and 2. This separation will be a strong enough move to bring him to a place of broken repentance.
e) The body continues to intercede. Many times churches stop at the 4th step and never move on. But Jesus never gives up on looking for the lost sheep, so the body should not give up on interceding for the member who has fallen into sin!
5. Forgiveness is bottomless, grace is endless. We cannot neglect this final instruction by Jesus about conflict, but sadly we often do. A believer, or group of believers, fall into sin or initiate conflict in the body and the Matthew 18 principle is followed to resolve conflict, the offending member or members are removed from the body and those who are left are hurt and wounded because a part of the body has had to be cut off.
It's painful!
And many times that pain is felt over and over if the offending party continues in their sin, fights back, or if the body refuses to forgive and makes an example or subject of gossip of the fallen brother.
The only way to move past that pain is continue reading to the end of the chapter.
Peter approaches Jesus with a question that most—if not all—have asked at one time or another. "But what if this person just keeps offending me over and over and over? At what point am I no longer obligated to forgive?"
Jesus' answer is simple: "You're always obligated to forgive ... from the heart."
He goes on to share a sobering story about the servant who had been forgiven an amount that he would never be able to repay in a whole lifetime, but in turn refused to forgive someone else a paltry sum of money.
The master who had forgiven him said these important words that Jesus says to us today: "Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant [fellow man], just as I had pity on you?"
Dear saints, we must, must, must forgive fully.
We must, must, must forgive every time.
We must allow the grace of Christ to come and so fill our hearts with love for those in the body who have offended us that the pain, judgment, negativity and condemnation toward them are removed ... and in place of that is a deep, deep supernatural love and compassion!
If we have not come to this place, we have not yet forgiven.
And if we fail to complete step 5, we are in violation of step 1.
We are walking in pride. Our pride will lead us to violate step 2. We will become an offense to the body! Our pride will lead us to fall ...
... and the judgment with which we judged when we failed to forgive fully and from the heart will be turned against us.
This is why full and complete forgiveness is so important to the body!

Checks for Repayment are in the Mail

This is the start of the seven-year cycle that is being broken from 2008. I have been prophesying for a while that God is repaying us for losses we have suffered over the past seven years.

I got a prophetic word that "The Checks Are in the Mail." Watch for repayment to come in many forms.

Not just money but in lots of different and creative ways such as: healing, favor, spiritual gifts and restoration of relationships. Prayers you have been praying for a while are going to be answered. Be open to the answers looking different than you once expected.

"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten … " Joel 2:25 NIV

For us, we took a huge hit financially in 2008 and went into debt for five years. Although we got out of debt, we have still not fully recovered all that was lost.

There were things that God had promised us that never came about. This was because the enemy has overplayed his hand against people like you and me.

If you have been following my prophetic words over the last few years, you might remember I have been saying to make a list of things that have been stolen or never came about since 2008. Well, what is on your list?

Renewing Vows from Ten Years Ago

God spoke to me that He is now renewing promises from ten years ago. In 2005 my ministry received a grant for $125,000 to do an outreach coffeehouse in Los Angeles. God had spoken to us clearly and we got a lot of favor and prophetic words for it.

It was during that time that many people around us in Hollywood were leaving, burning out, blowing out, and sadly, even dying. We ended up under intense warfare. We returned the grant and moved to Moravian Falls, North Carolina. This is a time to look back to the things that God had promised you ten years ago because He is renewing these promises and commitments as well.

Here it is 2015 - exactly ten years later and we are back in L.A. and going for the things that God has spoken to us. God is renewing ten-year commitments right now. They will come with interest and upgrades! Call out to God for the things that have been stolen from you.

Spring Forward on March 8

God spoke to me that again this year, when we set the clocks forward in the spring that things are going to spring forward in the spirit. For the U.S., this was March 8. Watch for something significant to begin to happen around this day and season.

This month will align things to come into a greater level of fulfillment. What is happening right now is a time of being propelled, and for some even - catapulted forward.

Twenty-seven years ago I had a radical encounter with Jesus and came out of the occult on my birthday, which is March 8,1988. Yes, "3.8.88" was the date. Eight represents new beginnings. It was the greatest birthday present ever! In fact, every year after that I would always get a special gift of blessing on my birthday.

That was until 2008. It was the worst birthday ever and we went through a terrible time of testing and betrayal and every birthday after that I suffered losses instead of gains. God spoke to me that this is a breakthrough year for me and many others who have suffered losses over the past seven years.

This year my birthday is on the same day as we "spring forward." God is saying to us all to expect to see radical turnaround and changes. You can trust this time. Watch for sudden good breaks.

"Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around." (Proverbs 13:12 The Message)

Your Case is Being Heard in Heaven

On February 24, I saw that many people's lives and ministries were being called into the courtroom of Heaven. This is happening to many people right now to reevaluate your life callings to determine your new assignments.

As each person was brought in, I saw Satan and others lined up to bring accusation against the people who are being called into a new season of advancement.

I heard the cries of people as the enemy's accusations were spoken before the courtroom of Heaven. It was gut-wrenching and I wept for them, crying out to God for mercy for all these people. They all had one thing in common: the enemy had overplayed his hand against them.

Then suddenly it was my turn. I stepped up and the accusations of Satan and the cries of many of my accusers were hurled at me like insults. The spirit of condemnation was so strong and thick that I could hardly stand. I fell down, crying out for mercy.

Then, Jesus was standing there. Like all the others in line, He pleaded our cases and many were promoted. These were the ones who have made it through the extreme testing and losses over the past seven years.

And the Lord says, "You are going to move forward into this new season and the voice of the accuser has been silenced." This was a result of people crying out against those who are up for promotion.

Many people who are reading this right now are in this season of promotion. Don't believe the lies or accusations of the enemy. Watch as Jesus steps up for you. But you will need to receive this by faith and get ready to move forward.

Shaking Happening Right Now

I came out of that experience shaking. God spoke to me that there is a shaking happening in the Kingdom. We are going to see a lot of movement and shifting.

Many people are misinterpreting this to be judgment on America. This shaking is designed by God to get us back on track with our callings.

"At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus' resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people." Matthew 27:51-53

The shaking happening right now is going to shake open some ancient things, like when Jesus was crucified, the earthquake opened and brought the old prophets back to life.

The shaking happening now is not judgment but it is going to open up the tombs that have held callings, gifts and anointings from the past.

"… the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom." The veil that is holding people from entering into the "Holy of Holies" or the deeper things of God has been removed.

We are going to see deep revelation come and deeper intimacy. People who were thought to not be fit to encounter God are going to have radical experiences!

This is an amazing time to be alive! Focus on the promotions you are receiving and ask God to reveal the new assignments available to you now.

Netanyahu: Iran's 'Zero Breakout' Sooner than Later

Netanyahu: Iran's 'Zero Breakout' Sooner than Later

Screen Shot
JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Iran's breakout time for nuclear weapons production begins when the framework agreement is finalized, not in 13 or 14 years as President Obama said Tuesday.
"So essentially, we're purchasing 13, 14, 15 years assurances that the breakout is at least a year -- that -- that if they decided to break the deal, kick out all the inspectors, break the seals and go for a bomb, we'd have over a year to respond," the president told NPR.
"What is a more relevant fear would be that in year 13, 14, 15, they have advanced centrifuges that can enrich uranium fairly rapidly, and at that point the breakout times would have shrunk almost down to zero," Obama said.
In a videotaped statement aired on Israeli media, Netanyahu said he agrees with the president that breakout time will be zero when the deal expires. But that's not, he says, more than a decade away.
Netanyahu said again he's not opposed to a deal with Iran, just a bad deal -- one that allows Iran to achieve "industrial-grade capability in producing nuclear bombs."
Iran desperately wants relief from economic sanctions, which have had a profound effect on its economy. The sanctions provide the leverage to try to convince Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons aspirations.
But Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says they won't agree to a gradual phasing out of sanctions.
"We will not sign any deal unless all sanctions are lifted on the same day," Reuters quoted Rouhani in a televised speech aired Thursday. "We want a win-win deal for all parties involved in the nuclear talks."
Meanwhile, White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters the U.S. does not intend to comply with that demand.
"You can't start talking about relieving sanctions until we've reached agreements about how we're going to shut down every pathway they have to a nuclear weapon," Earnest said.
The framework agreement, however, does allow Iran to continue enriching uranium, moving it steadily toward nuclear weapons capability. Coupled with missile production, threats to Israel and state sponsorship of terrorism, producing weapons-grade uranium may be much closer than world powers care to admit.

THE ANCIENT CHALLENGE

(c) Morris E. Ruddick

At the crux of today's culminating, age-old drama of good against evil have been game-changers, leaders with alliances both from within and outside the community of God's people, whose righteous response to His standard would advance His purposes.

This advance has been demonstrated with strategies impacting the infrastructures of culture, economies and power. Yet, the most important elements for historians: God and His chosen people Zion have largely been ignored in recording the story of man. Understanding the times and knowing what to do rest on a realistic grasp of the historic strategies employed by God and His chosen.

Abraham established the community model for God's people to live in self-sufficiency, as a people of God. Isaac gleaned the secret of God's economy and supernaturally prospered through God, despite the impact of famine. Joseph demonstrated how stewardship that abides in God's presence can influence the spiritual climate of a society and release God's authority within its infrastructures, to overcome impending evil and to accomplish God's purposes.

Moses provided the framework for the Abrahamic model to inoculate itself from the subtle wickedness of the surrounding world and become a society of the righteous, living for God. David demonstrated the leadership response to God's guidance needed to shape a society of diverse factions into a Kingdom of God's people, that would prompt awe for God and His people from all those around them.

Jesus raised the bar to the ancient challenge and opened the gates to the authority that governs cultures, economies and power. In so doing He set the Kingdom standard for applying righteous power in a corrupt world.

The world has reached just such a flashpoint.

A frequent question concerning the calling of modern-day Josephs has been "when will the time of the Josephs manifest?" The answer is the same as it was in the days of Joseph the Patriarch: "When God speaks to Pharaoh." However, the prelude to God speaking to Pharaoh will be shaped by the amassing of prayers and steadfast faith demonstrated by the stewardship of the Josephs.

There's a shaking taking place all around us. God is allowing the box to be rattled so that we begin looking outside-the-box instead of at ourselves. The time of Joseph was a time in which God's plan was far bigger than the status quo and the short-sighted religious, ambitious thinking of even God's chosen. So it has been that the role of game-changers has never been limited to the parameters of the "box."

With evil coming out of the closet today at unprecedented levels, the challenge, as it has reemerged across the centuries, is for God's people to stand against evil. With that will be the emergence of the leaders, the game-changers, whose influence impacts culture, economies and power to embrace this mandate of the ancient challenge.

Sharing Love From Sweden - The Same Value - God Will Use Whoever He Wants - Eva Haglund

THE SAME VALUE - GOD WILL USE WHOEVER HE WANTS

It is important to know that people have the same value. In the world people sometimes are treated like they do not the same value. It can be in different ways. Sometimes rich are not treated the same as poor and old sometimes are looked down at. Sometimes younger are treated like they have more value then elderly people.

Sometimes in congregations there can be wrong thinking. People can be looked down at. In James 2:1 is written, “My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Lord of glory, with partiality. For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him ”You sit here in a good place” and say to the poor man “you stand there” or sit here at my footstool, have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?”

In Acts 3:6 is written that Paul also on one occasion did not have money. He said “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

In Gal 3:28 is written ”There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ.” Here it is written that it does not matter what background you have. You have the same value. We read that Jews and Greeks have the same value. All people have the same value and  God wants us to stand together as one people.

It is also written in this Scripture that men and women have the same value. It is important in Scripture here that women have the same value as men. In the world women can be looked down at and also in congregations, but this is not how God looks at women and He wants women to be well treated and respected. God can use women. He used Esther so the Jewish people were rescued and He can also use women today. God needs both men and women to stand together in his Kingdom.

God also uses people without education. We read in  I Cor 1:26 “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.”

In 1 Cor 13:1 it is written: ”Though I speak the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I have become  as a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all the mysteries and all the knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned but have not love, it profits me nothing.” We read here that love is more important than for instance knowledge.

We have not been given gifts to “shine” ourselves, but to bless others with and to honor God.
In Luke 2:9 the angels came to shepherds, even as some had looked down at them in the society when Jesus was born. God did not look down at them. The first disciples whom Jesus called were fishermen.

In Luke 10 we read Jesus' parable that a man was robbed and hurt by thieves. He also was emotional wounded. He had nothing left. In the parable the priest did not help but left him there. Then a Samaritan came and he had compassion and helped the man who was robbed. The Samaritans were people who were looked down in their society, but it was this person who showed compassion.

In some congregations the leadership does not have love for people. We must not judge anybody, but God wants leaders to have a shepherd's heart. There are such leaders, but not all leaders have learned to know the Father's, our heavenly Daddy, heart of love and compassion.

For God, all people have the same value. He will use whoever He wants in the last days. He will use ill and the unemployed, for instance, as some would look down at, but God chooses. God did not choose David because of his height but because of his heart. God does not think as people think. He is more interested in the heart than clothes and cares more about the inside then the outside. The parcel is not more important then what is inside of it.

We need love among Christians. Jesus says in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, then to lay down ones life for his friends.” In Acts 2:46 the Christians had fellowship and broke bread from house to house. I think God wants to restore more real friendship in the new prophetic time. In 1 Cor 12 it is written that we need each other with different gifts.

We have been given gifts to bless others with and to honor God with. Gifts are also shown in friendship. Fellowship is not a building but living stones creating a temple.

The greatest is love, as we read in 1 Cor 13, and God is love. It is important to learn to know God as a loving God and to show love to each other. This will show the world that God is love.

In John 17:21 Jesus prayed that we may all my be one, even as your Father is in Me and I in you, that you also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.”

We need to seek this God of love together. Jesus showed the greatest love, as He suffered so much for us by His free will because He loved us so much. He showed what love is. In His eyes we are precious. Yeshua/Jesus was willing to give everything for us.

This is the value we have for Him. In John 3:16 we  read, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Eva Haglund

Where Are the Courageous Christian Leaders?

Where Are the Courageous Christian Leaders?

Religious freedom laws in states like Indiana and Arkansas are creating a debate across the nation with differing opinions.

Conservative talk show host Bill O'Reilly and conservative political commentator Ann Coulter called out Christian leaders, saying they aren't taking a stand.

"The fact that these Christians would rather get praise from The New York Times and Nicholas Kristof by changing bedpans of Ebola patients in Nigeria, rather than stand up to The New York Times and fight against abortion, fight against these bullies… where are the Christians? And where are the Republicans?" Coulter said on Fox News' O'Reilly Factor.

"The small town owners of pizzeria(s) have more Christian courage than most Christian leaders and certainly the Republican party," Coulter said. "The one thing every Christian should have is courage."

"My religion, Roman Catholicism, I have been critical of the fact there are no clerics in America, zero, who put themselves out to defend the Christian faith," O'Reilly said.

O'Reilly and Coulter discussed how that desipte individual Christian leaders occasionally speaking up, there isn't a focused group courageous enough to defend religious freedom and Christian rights.

"There isn't an organized attempt as there is in the gay lobby, abortion women's reproductive rights lobby. You don't have anything on the Christian side," O'Reilly said.

"It is cowardice. Most people would rather risk getting Ebola than being called a homophobe, a racist, the horrible accusations and ad hominem attacks thrown at Christians in this country," Coulter said.

What should the Church do in response to attacks on religious freedoms? Bishop Harry Jackson, with the Reconciled Church, talks about this and more. Click HERE to watch.

Can This Be True? 2 Million Indonesian Muslims Find Jesus Per Year

Can This Be True? 2 Million Indonesian Muslims Find Jesus Per Year

This video is causing quite a stir among the Muslim population in Indonesia.
This video is causing quite a stir among the Muslim population in Indonesia. (YouTube)
Amid all the news about Islam's gains around the world, here is some startling news you've probably never heard: In Indonesia—the most populous Muslim nation—2 million Muslims are converting to Christianity per year. That's right. That's one new convert every 15 seconds. At this rate, Indonesia will be mostly Christian by 2035.
Some Muslims are so alarmed they've created a video on YouTube to alert other Muslims to this menace and are trying to raise $2 million to start a TV station aimed at Muslim youth to keep them in Islam.
Called "Save Maryam," it depicts a young teen named Maryam who represents all disillusioned Muslim youth that have responded to invitations to gospel events or someone handing them a tract that says "Jesus Loves You." Watch the 4-minute, 45-second video yourself if you don't believe me. It's from Muslims in their own words, alarmed at the rate of conversions to Christianity.
It ends by urging Muslims to stop this trend (thereby "Saving Maryam") by alerting other Muslims to the threat by forwarding the video on social media.
There also are YouTube videos debunking this, using government statistics showing growth of Christianity in Indonesia at a slower pace. Also, the videos cast aspersions on the fundraising tactics of the sponsoring organization and to their motives. However, the Islamic government has incentive to under report the size of the Christian population.
Recently, I talked to an Indonesian pastor visiting the United States that confirmed to me that the Indonesian church is growing despite persecution like churches being burned down and some Christians being killed.
"The Muslim has no answer for their life and they are very depressed because life's so difficult," he told me. "Their religion has no answer. Many of these people are so lonely that they will watch a Christian program and a Christian will follow up (with) them and bring them into the Christian community and disciple them."
In this Easter season, as we remember Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection, it's good to be reminded that the message of the gospel is real and it's changing lives—even in the most populous Muslim nation.
So, let's get this word out. The Muslims want this to be shared to alert people that many Indonesian Muslims are becoming Christians. Share this on social media—not to lament this news, but for Christians to rejoice.
God is still on the throne and is drawing all men to Himself (see John 12:32). It's like I heard Bob Mumford say one time: "I've read the end of the book, and Jesus wins!"

At the core of the Islamic State doctrine is the belief that their adherents are waging warfare against unbelievers—infidels—in order to usher in an apocalyptic end-time battle in which Islam will finally and ultimately triumph.
Many Muslims believe that the Syrian town of Dabiq—near Aleppo—is the location predicted by the prophet Muhammad for this confrontation. In the ISIS journal Dabiq, the dark, evil mind of the terrorists is clearly stated: "As the world progresses toward al-Malhammah al-Kubra (the Great Battle), the option to stand on the sideline as a mere observer is being lost."
Of course, the Bible speaks of a great conflict at the end of the age that will be waged at a place called Armageddon. The location is often interpreted as the mountain of Megiddo, located on the north side of the plain of Jezreel and frequently identified in the Old Testament as a military stronghold.
Described by the Apostle John as the "battle on the great day of God the Almighty" (Rev. 16:14), it will be the Lord Jesus Christ who returns in glory to vanquish every foe: Satan, his demonic legions, and all who are allied with the prince of darkness and have refused to bow their knee to the Savior.
Here's the true, biblical apocalyptic vision:
"I saw heaven opened. And there was a white horse. He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written, that no one knows but He Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood. His name is called The Word of God. The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Out of His mouth proceeds a sharp sword, with which He may strike the nations. 'He shall rule them with an iron scepter.' He treads the winepress of the fury and wrath of God the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (Rev. 19:11-16).
The deluded, false theology of Islam motivates and compels radical Islamic terrorists to murder, rape, pillage, plunder and wreak havoc and destruction in the name of their god.
Led on by the destroyer—the devil himself—they blindly march on in their fateful journey to ultimate doom and destruction in the lake of fire where, along with the devil and all who reject Christ, they will be eternally punished for their unbelief and rebellion.
This is why I want the followers of Islam to know there is a God who loves them, cares for them and sent His Son to die for them on the cross for the forgiveness of their sins.
They don't have to die in a holy war or jihad to please God. They don't have to strap bombs to their chests to enter into heaven. All they need to do is repent of their sins and place their faith in the risen Christ, and they can receive the gift of everlasting life.
The Apostle Paul was a man bent on the destruction of the church, eager to persecute believers wherever they lived. He even participated in the death of the first martyr of the early church, Stephen. But God arrested him on the road to Damascus, saved him, and he became the foremost apostle for the sake of the gospel.
Writing to his young protégé years later, Paul vividly described that experience: "Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief" (1 Tim. 1:13). He even called himself the worst or chief of sinners (1 Tim. 1:16).
The only cure for corrupt ideologies and false religions is a personal encounter with the living God, who "wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:4). Only God can transform a murderous terrorist into a servant who is willing to die for the sake of His Name.
In the end, the one universal grievance that must be addressed by every person of every age is our own sin and rebellion against God. The only solution is a transformed heart.

President Obama Admits Flaws, Shares Heart at Prayer Breakfast

President Obama turned both personal and preachy Tuesday (April 7) during his annual Easter Prayer Breakfast, which he has hosted at the White House six times since he was elected.
The long list of Christian leaders attending included Sojourners' Jim Wallis, National Association of Evangelicals President Leith Anderson, Roman Catholic Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the Rev. Al Sharpton, retired Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, civil rights veteran the Rev. C.T. Vivian and African Methodist Episcopal Bishop Vashti McKenzie. The Rev. Amy Butler of New York's Riverside Church gave the opening prayer.
Here are four memorable statements from the event:
1. Though he said, "I am no preacher," he almost preached:
"Even as we grapple with the sheer enormity of Jesus' sacrifice, on Easter we can't lose sight of the fact that the story didn't end on Friday," he said. "The story keeps on going. On Sunday comes the glorious resurrection of our savior."
"Easter is our affirmation that there are better days ahead — and also a reminder that it is on us, the living, to make them so," he added.
2. He acknowledged he falls short of the mark:
"Today we celebrate the magnificent glory of our risen savior. I pray that we will live up to his example. I pray that I will live up to his example. I fall short so often. Every day I try to do better."
3. He praised several preachers, including the late Rev. Gardner C. Taylor:
He quoted the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and acknowledged Pope Francis, whom he will welcome to the White House later this year and "who encourages us to seek peace, to serve the marginalized and be good stewards of God's creation."
And he remembered the Rev. Gardner C. Taylor, the "dean of American preaching," who died on Easter Sunday at age 96.
"Anybody who had the privilege of hearing him speak knows what power he had," the president said. "He was a friend of Dr. King who used his spellbinding sermons to spread the gospel and open people's hearts and minds."
4. He tears up when he thinks of his daughters:
"I want to thank everybody here for their prayers, which mean so much to me and Michelle, particularly at a time when my daughters are starting to grow up and starting to go on college visits. I need prayer. I start tearing up in the middle of the day and I can't explain it. Why am I so sad? They're leaving me."
