Addressing a crowd at a historic synagogue, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier affirms Germany's commitment to its Jews, while condemning increasing anti-Jewish sentiment.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier denounced growing antisemitism in his country on Wednesday, German newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine reported.

Speaking at the 100th anniversary of the Augsburg synagogue, the president noted that while most Germans stand against antisemitism, a growing trend of anti-Jewish hatred is being spread on social media, in part due to some Muslim immigrant groups.

"Social media often propagates the spread of hate messages and antisemitic 

provocation," he said, noting the trend is growing across Europe.

Despite this, however, Steinmeier noted that, in comparison to France, 

Germany's Jews are staying put, rather than immigrating to Israel. 

He affirmed his hope that Germany "can once again be the home of which 

the Jews were robbed."

The president, who visited Israel during his tenure as foreign minister, was 

joined by German and Israeli notables - including Israeli ambassador 

Yaacov-David Hadas Handelsmann and Chairman Josef Shuster of the 

Central Council of Jews in Germany - for the anniversary celebration. 

Augsburg's synagogue was the only one in Bavaria, a southern German state, 

to have survived the destruction by the Nazis.

Following the discussion last week of a 300-page report on antisemitism 

in the Bundestag, the lower house of Germany's parliament, Shuster has 

called on the government to appoint a commissioner to address widespread 

antisemitism in the country. The report found that anti-Jewish sentiments 

were noted at all levels of German society, particularly on social media.

A Vision of Jesus on His Mobile Throne

During a powerful time of worship, I saw and felt a huge wave of powerful magnitude rising up and moving out with force. It erupted out of our worship! (Earlier before this the Lord had placed Song of Solomon 3:6-9 on my heart.) 

I could see us carrying God on His "Mobile Throne" with our high intensity worship! He was riding the wave!

Then I saw another vision: Jesus was standing tall, like a giant, and military aircrafts were flying all around Him just over His head. He was in charge and with authority He would command them, "You go here and you go there!"

"God is calling all Believers and many 5-fold gifts out into the world to the people of the world to get the word out to all men everywhere in every place! The world needs to see the Church in action!"

He was making it known that He was in control! No matter where the call would come from, He was available on His "Mobile Throne" to be the first responder to every call and to take control of the situation at hand!

There is nothing that arises that He is not able to respond to and be in charge of! He is "King of kings and Lord of lords!" He is responding to the calls of everyone, everywhere He is needed...all over the globe! As things of challenging significance take place all over the earth in these days, He wants us to know that He has not lost control of the earth.

Rise Up and Push Back the Enemy!

I sense the Lord saying: "Yes, there are some more events to take place in the US, in Canada, in France, in the Koreas, and elsewhere, and these outbursts of the enemy are only a tool in My hand! For I am using these circumstances and situations to shake whatever can be shaken at this time! Shake, rattle and roll over!

"For have I not even set boundaries in the earth that the waters cannot pass and the darkness cannot remain? The moon stays in its orbit and the sun remains until the time that I say, 'No More!' For the earth is Mine and its fullness. I won it back and I have not abdicated My authority to My enemy!

So rise up and pray! Rise up and proclaim! Rise up and decree what I tell you! For this is a significant time and season to push back the enemy. He will flee!"

As Jesus was commanding and directing the military aircraft in the vision above, He was revealing that we are in a war! An intense war. During times of war people must enlist to rise to the new occasion. If enough people do not enlist, then a draft is put into place.

I sense the Lord saying to many of His people, "I need You! You go here and you go there."

The World Needs to See the Church in Action!

"Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices like a strong man to run its race. The Father is releasing a mandate to all of the citizens of His Kingdom to, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15 NKJV). God is calling all Believers and many 5-fold gifts out into the world to the people of the world, to get the word out to all men everywhere in every place! The world needs to see the Church in action!

I sense that the Father is in missionary-mode. He is releasing an apostolic mandate, but not just with the evangelistic gift. Although that is one of His high priority goals, but not His only goal! He is starting to release a Kingdom mentality to overtake the Body mentality. For it is imperative that we become more active as citizens of the Kingdom of God than members of His Church!

The Church mentality is not wrong, it has just become unbalanced. If we recognize that we are part of a greater organism than just the local church we belong to or even the global Church, and we start to see that God is not just doing things in the Church but also in the world (hence, the nations), then we can begin to lift our eyes to a greater perspective than just using our gifts to minister to the members of the Body!

"From whom the whole Body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the Body for the edifying of itself in love." (Ephesians 4:16 NKJV)

Updates, Upgrades and Reprogramming

In this computerized world that we live in, I think that many of us can relate to this metaphor. As more things become necessary for a computer or computer program to function, the need arises for updates, upgrades and reprogramming to be done, in order to continue to meet the new demands of the current situation.

We are in a new era, a new season, a new Kairos moment of God's timing and plans for the world, "For the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof" (Psalm 24:1). There has been another level of the purposes of God being released in these days, and for that release there is also a new release of the wisdom and knowledge and understanding of the times and seasons we are in.

Yesterday's Manna will not do for today's needs! Yesterday's wine will not fit into the new wineskins that are being made to fit the new paradigm of the Kingdom of God. 

So in this season there is also a need for us as His People to press into Him like never before and to pick up the new directives – the new updates, upgrades and programs – that are needed to facilitate the new day.

If Christ is returning to rule and reign on the earth for a millennium and He is, then we need to start to understand Kingdom mentality and Kingdom theology! The old just will not do! The old programming will not work in the new hardware; just like computers, the motherboard is not expandable anymore and it has reached its capacity. Rethink! The Wind of Change is Blowing!

It's time to rethink! Rethink the old ways that were good for then but not for now! Rethink the old visions that were good for that time, but not for this time. Reform the old systems to make room for the new. Many of the former denominations were right on in their day but they stagnated – they didn't dive deeper and follow God past those revelations! God is moving on right now! Will you move with Him?

Jesus is here on His Mobile Throne to rule and reign over the necessary changes needed in the earth to facilitate the next phase of His intentions on the earth! The wind of change is blowing! The question is, "Will we move with it or grow stagnate?" Elisha needed to remove his old mantle in order to take up the double portion mantle of Elijah!

Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children." The faithful remnant in nations that have been known to persecute Christians will emerge suddenly from captivity into freedom. They will worship freely and with great joy. They will be anointed to set the captives free. This is not only for nations that have been under an oppressive government but it is for nations that have been considered "free" and yet darkness has gained a foothold. Canada will experience a "tsunami" that will be like the water breaking before a birthing. It will shift the spiritual landscape and break down dividing walls. As they have stood to see other nations birthed, now they will see the birthing of God's purposes on their own soil. The spiritual ice will melt in the Great North. The light of the Son will come upon the Inuits, the French, the English and the First People of the land and unity will emerge – one family formed to establish God's purposes. God's chosen remnant in Canada will also reach across the border, into the womb of the United States, and be a midwife for the birthing of what the Lord has planted in North America as a continent. The walls of division between the two nations will crumble. Watch the nations that the enemy has attacked with acts of terrorism because the enemy has marked them for a great move of God. Nations such as France, England, Germany, the US, Sweden, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan and Syria will experience a great move of God. They have all been chosen by God to strike terror in the enemy's camp. What the enemy meant for harm God will turn for the profit and good of these nations. These will be like the days of Joseph and the mercy of God will triumph over judgement. "But Joseph replied, 'Don't be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. No, don't be afraid. I will continue to take care of you and your children.' So he reassured them by speaking kindly to them." Genesis 50:19-21 The Fear of the Lord is Key Many in the Body of Christ have suffered greatly over the past few years. The pressures have been great but these pressures have produced a refiner's fire that has purified hearts, motives, beliefs and character. A shift has taken place that has caused God's people to move from the fear of man into the fear of the Lord. This shift is the key to this move of God that is swelling even now. The water will break to bring forth the birthing of seeing the sovereignty of God displayed throughout the nations. The strength of man has not brought this forth but rather the humbling of man so that in great human weakness (humility) the strength of God will be made manifest. "So He said to me, 'This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty." Zechariah 4:6 I hear the words, "Grace, grace..." being shouted over the Church, "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.'" 2 Corinthians 12:9 Conclusion The birthing of God's purposes and promises begin with a breaking of the water. I see the dates May 24 - August 24 as a time for this Summer of Miracles and the swell of this water washing over people and nations. It is like a great bowl or basin of water is about to tip and pour down. Deep has called out to deep and it has filled this heavenly basin (bowl). "Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; all Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me." Psalm 42:7 This pouring out of water will not only cause a great move of God but it will also serve as a washing of His current-day disciples' feet. "So He got up from the table, took off His robe, wrapped a towel around His waist, and poured water into a basin. Then He began to wash the disciples' feet, drying them with the towel He had around Him." John 13:4-5 Watch for and expect a Summer of Miracles to come upon the Church! Palestinian Arabs probably celebrated the victory of Emmanuel Macron in France's presidential election last week.

After all, his opponent, Marine Le Pen, made abundantly clear her frustration with, if not outright disdain for, the Islamic world.

But there was another aspect to the election for Palestinians, who have in recent years tried to get France to take a central role in the Middle East peace process, confident that the liberal European power would be among the first to openly embrace a Palestinian state.

Surely, many thought, Macron's liberal credentials meant he jump at the opportunity to help birth "Palestine."

However, shortly before taking office, Macron made perfectly clear that he would do no such thing.

"Unilateral recognition of Palestine, right now, will undermine stability," said Macron at a political rally, adding that he would not risk France's relationship with Israel to serve the Palestinian agenda.

That's right. France's new liberal president would rather maintain good relations with Israel than recognize "Palestine."

In fact, Macron is even on record equating anti-Zionism with antisemitism, insisting that hatred for the Jewish state "leads directly to antisemitism."

Seems the Palestinians' list of braindead allies is growing thinner.

Greetings from the land of Israel.

I certainly have enjoyed writing these brief daily logs. I hope you have found pleasure in reading them!

We each have our favorite flavor of ice cream. For some, the standard, foundational choices of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry satisfy just fine. Neapolitan I believe if you want all three at once. For the bold and adventurous type, Rocky Road, Mint Chocolate Chip or Carmel Pecan does it for you.

For me – it’s Rocky Road baby! (Mint chocolate is a close second.)

When it comes to the inhabitants and amazing cultures in Israel, here too there are many flavors. Just among the Jews themselves you have variations ranging from the Ultra-Orthodox, the Messianics, the secular, and a few in between each.

Then there are the Arab Christians, the Arab Muslims, and I suppose just Arabs. I know a few shop owners in the Old City who would probably adhere to one label, but really not devoted to religion but primarily their daily business.

And within the mix of all this, especially in the larger cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Eilat and Tiberias, of course you have the tourists. Now there for sure is a wide choice of creams in all colors, shapes and sizes.

Not only have the Jewish people returned to their Land permanently with aliyah, to join those already living here, you also have in the Land at all times the tourists coming for a few days or a few weeks. They too have arrived from England, France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, India, Brazil, Kenya, Canada, and of course the good old US of A, from where I reside in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Walking through the historical and spiritual sites, you hear all the different languages and thank the Lord that He is not a “one flavor” God. He creates and loves them all.

For those who have had the great joy of coming to Israel on a tour or to visit friends as I do, you know what I am talking about. For the ones reading this who never have, and hope to, I am glad to share my heart in words, pictures and videos with you. May you experience a taste of Israel through these, and enjoy your favorite ice cream while you do! (Pass the chocolate syrup please.)

Marine Le Pen and the Jews of France: It's Complicated, but Clear

Should French Jews fear the potential election of Marine Le Pen? Should they leave France if she wins the presidency, per the advice of a leading rabbi? Is she rightly characterized as a "hate" candidate, following in the footsteps of her Holocaust-denying father? And is she right in calling for France's Jews to make certain sacrifices, since she will ask Muslims to do the same?

The short answer is: It's complicated but clear. Let me explain why.

According to Francis Kalifat, president of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities, Le Pen is a "candidate of hate" and Jews should unite around Emmanuel Marcon, even if they differ with his policies. That's how dangerous Le Pen will be for France's Jews.

Speaking from Moscow, Russian Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar warned that France is "heading toward radicalization." He stated plainly that, "If Marine Le Pen is elected president of France, the Jews must leave."

Are these men overreacting?

Let's remember that Marine Le Pen is not her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen, founder of the right-wing National Front Party, now led by Marine.

Jean-Marie has been fined multiple times for Holocaust denial, once saying, "If you take a 1,000-page book on World War II, the concentration camps take up only two pages and the gas chambers 10 to 15 lines. This is what one calls a detail."

But Marine Le Pen has thrown her father out of the party and denounced his views. Why should she be held accountable for her father's transgressions?

Let's also remember that the threat of radical Islam is real and requires some extreme measures. That's why Le Pen recently tweeted, "Hate preachers must be expelled, the Islamist mosques closed." (Note that "Islamist" means "radical Muslim.")

Shouldn't French Jews embrace this kind of thinking, since they have often been targets of Islamic violence? Or is it possible that French Jews skew liberal by default, just as American Jews do, meaning that they will not side with a strong nationalism even when it's in their best interest?

This is why I say that the relationship between Marine Le Pen and French Jews is complicated. She is not her father, and she has expelled other anti-Semites from her party. Perhaps her policies would be in the best interest of France's Jews?

I think not. As much as radical Islam requires a firm hand of resistance, Le Pen presents real problems for French Jews.

As noted by the JTA, "Le Pen recently called for banning the wearing of the kippah in public and for making it illegal for French nationals to also have an Israeli passport—steps she said were necessary because of the principle of equality in order to facilitate similar limitations on Muslims.

Le Pen has said radical Islam is a 'threat on French culture' and has called on Jews to make certain 'sacrifices' in order to fight jihadism."

And herein lies the problem: She is treating Jews and Muslims alike to the point of penalizing Jews for the crimes of radical Muslims.

Why shouldn't French Jews be allowed dual citizenship? Has their solidary with Israel over the decades damaged the people of France? Has it made them any less loyal citizens? Have they plundered France to aid and abet Israel?

And why shouldn't a Jewish man be allowed to wear a head-covering? And what about his beard, if that is part of his religious identification? Must he shave his beard too? And is Le Pen requiring Catholic priests and nuns not to wear their ritual attire? For that matter, is she requiring Catholics not to wear crosses? If not, why single out religious Jews? Why not deal with radical Muslims as such without penalizing everyone else (including moderate Muslims)?

Where are the Jewish terrorists in France? How many have murdered policemen in cold blood while shouting out pro-Israeli slogans? How many have rammed trucks into civilians, slaughtering dozens? How many have massacred scores of concert-goers? How many have attacked restaurants and killed as many diners as they could? How many have broken into magazine headquarters and butchered anti-Jewish journalists?

As Amiel Unger wrote in an op-ed for HaAretz, "Marine Le Pen's instinct is right: fighting an Islamic takeover requires France to shed its guilt and shame over its past. But her desire for a foolish 'consistency' means Vichy and Jewish identity are also included."

All too often in Jewish history, the Jewish people have been scapegoated whenever hard times befell the countries in which they lived. It's all because of the Jews! The Jews poisoned the wells and caused the Black Plague! The Jews caused the economic collapse of Germany! It's the fault of the Jews!

Should extreme nationalism prevail in France, it could be dangerous for France's Jews. "Why can't they just be French? Why must they insist on being Israelis too? Why must they insist on being Jews? Either they shed their identity, or they go."

Ideally, France must resist the Islamization of their country and deal forcefully with radical Islam. But they must do it without penalizing their loyal Jewish population.

If Le Pen wins the election, they should be on their guard.

Israel's Prophetic Role in Fulfilling the Passover Right Before Jesus Returns

"When the hour had come, He and the twelve apostles with Him sat down. And He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will never eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God" (Luke 22:14-16).

In the first part of this series, we reviewed the basic understanding of Passover. We also discussed the powerful revelation Jesus gave us at his last Passover on planet earth. He said that it would not be fulfilled until the Kingdom of God. There is a fascinating prophecy in Jeremiah 23:1-8 that helps us unlock the puzzle. I have included an excerpt from verses 5-8.

"The days are coming, says the Lord, that I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the earth. In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. And this is the name by which he will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Therefore, surely the days are coming, says the Lord, when they will no more say, 'As the Lord lives who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,' but, 'As the Lord lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel out of the north country and from all countries where I had driven them.' Then they will dwell in their own land" (Jer. 23:5-8).

Just before and during the return of Jesus Christ to rule and reign on planet earth, the children of Israel and Judah who are scattered across the world will return back to the land. It will be so great that in the kingdom of God we will not discuss the Exodus from Egypt. Instead, we will discuss this final return from captivity.

There are parallels between the Exodus from Egypt and the coming return from captivity. For instance, 10 plagues struck Egypt. The first three hit Egyptians and Israelites alike. The last seven only were poured out on the Egyptians. In Rev. 18:4-6, an event that happens just before the return of Jesus, the people of God are commanded to leave Babylon and not share in her plagues. This refers to the seven plagues of God's Wrath found in Revelation 16.

A couple of weeks ago, we reported on the Ethiopian Jews who are returning back to the land. The prophecy in Jeremiah specifically mentions a return from the north. Just two years ago, Benjamin Netanyahu called for 'mass immigration' of European Jews to Israel. Just last year, a report was released detailing how many Jewish people in France are moving to Israel. We are seeing some Jewish people return now. Many more will return home.

As we remember the Passover season this year, let us remember the Lamb that was slain. But also, let us not forget the Lion that is returning to bring Passover to its full meaning.
