I am in the midst of my media tour, and it's exciting to talk about my new book, God and Donald Trump. In the next few days, I will write about some of the media outlets I have visited and will let you know when those programs will air, in case you want to watch. You can also view some of them online.
Last week, I traveled to Jacksonville, Florida, where Dr. Candice Smithymaninterviewed me for her Glory Road program on the Word Network. In addition to the Word Network, the show will air on DirecTV, Apple TV, Verizon, Roku and other venues at 3:30 p.m. ET tomorrow, Nov. 2.
She has a pleasant interviewing style, and our discussion about God and Donald Trump proved very engaging.
Dr. Smithyman and her husband, Dr. Adam Smithyman, pastor a growing congregation called Freedom Destiny Church on the south side of Jacksonville. Although her television program is relatively new, it has enjoyed some success, and she has compiled a steady list of interesting interviews.

Over the past several months, Christian voters have had much to celebrate. From strides in religious liberties protections to bills defending the unborn, some of President Donald Trump's promised agenda is being realized. And the optimism of those who put him in office is palpable.

In my new book, God and Donald Trump, I document the way four modern-day prophets prophesied ahead of the election that Donald Trump would win. Right up to Election Day, however, popular opinion had it that he would lose big to Hillary Clinton. Yet, he won! The prophets were right.
As I wrote the book, I interviewed numerous people and recorded six of these interviews so I could transcribe them. I also realized I could use them as podcasts to give behind-the-scenes information about how I put the book together.
My first interview was with Chuck Pierce, who prophesied in 2008 that God would play a "trump card," and how he began to understand that God was referring to Donald Trump. The prophetic aspect in what God is doing is not usually part of our public discourse. I believe my book makes an appeal to the reader that God is involved in the affairs of man, including the election of our president.
Chuck Pierce is not active politically, but he is active in intercession. When people attacked him for prophesying that Trump would win, he said he was merely speaking as an oracle of the Lord—which is what a true prophet is supposed to do.
Please take time to listen to the podcast to get much more detail from Chuck Pierce himself. He emphasizes what God is doing, especially His covenant with Israel, which he believes is key for the future of American and for Trump's presidency.
He also tells a story that may have never been reported: a "decree" made by Vice President Pence at the White House in May about a covenant between Israel and the United States.

The media interviews already have begun. I had the privilege of being interviewed by Rick Wiles on TruNews last Friday. I thought you would enjoy listening to the interview, found here. We talked about why I wrote the book: I felt there needed to be an answer to Hillary Clinton, whose new book is titled What Happened. Our interview has been downloaded from the TruNews website more than 17,300 times in only four days.
My book tells "what happened": God intervened. He did so by raising an unlikely person, even someone most Christians would not have chosen. Yet there was a miraculous aspect to this election that can only be explained—for those of us who love Jesus and believe the Bible—as though it were somehow God's will.
In the book, I try not to be dogmatic, but I do make the case and hope the reader will come to the same conclusion.

God and Donald Trump releases seven weeks from today, Nov. 7. Already we are getting positive feedback on the book, including good placement among retailers and a number of great media interviews.
My first interview was today (Tuesday, Sept. 19). It was on "Bill Martinez Live," a nationally syndicated conservative talk radio program covering politics, culture, faith and entertainment that airs Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon Eastern time.
It is a full-hour podcast, but you can listen to my 24-minute interview by clicking here (the interview begins at 34:36). Bill was an enthusiastic interviewer and said the book is needed. He had also figured out that Trump's election was somehow an answer to prayer, which is one of the main points of the book.
I have been immersed in this project for several months, and I wondered, How can I describe the book's contents in a few minutes in a way that communicates its message even to those who will never read it? And how can I create an interest in the book so many will want to read it?
Because Bill is a great interviewer, I found it easy to talk about the miraculous aspect to Trump's win, how the president seems to have changed in the last 10 years and how he has surrounded himself with men and women of God—even how he has taken up Christian causes.

Pentecostal prophets predicted Donald Trump would win against all odds. Christian leaders have met with him many times, and he is open to their counsel and prayer. Recently, a photo of Christian leaders laying hands on Trump in the Oval Office went viral.
And the left is enraged. First, they don't understand it. Then, they find our doing spiritual warfare or binding and decreeing that America will turn to God to be somehow threatening.
This was the subject of a blog someone sent me that relates to an "in-depth" article by Peter Montgomery from Right Wing Watch (a project of People for the American Way, which is partly funded by business magnate and far-left political activist George Soros). Montgomery's article documents all the scary Pentecostals who want "dominion" over the earth and our country. It's actually well-researched, but it's as if he is presenting evidence to show why readers should be afraid of these people.
Frank Amedia, who is being attacked because of his POTUS Shield, thinks this is good. At least the left is taking us seriously instead of just ignoring the spiritual realm. I talked to Frank about this in a podcast you can hear below. We discuss what is happening spiritually and how the left is reacting. It's quite provocative.
I told Frank I hope my new book, God and Donald Trump, helps answer some of the questions the media seem to be asking about how this non-religious billionaire man of the world is associating and accepting prayer from crazy Pentecostals (whom the majority of Americans think are weird anyway.)
As someone who grew up Pentecostal, I understand the public consensus, and I've been subjected to some of the same ridicule. But as a believer, I also understand the spiritual realm and see how God is raising up prophets to speak to those in power.
In my book, I document four modern-day prophets who said Trump would win against all odds. Amedia was one of them. In addition, months before the election, he said on a secular talk show it would be an electoral landslide, and it was.
I'm sure those attacking us are people we would like if we were neighbors. But their worldview is diametrically opposed to ours, and they are vying for power in our culture and the government. Recently, that seems to have increased a lessening of our religious rights. As believers, we must speak up for righteousness in our nation.
These far-left people, most of whom are anti-Christian, have considered Christians in general and Pentecostals in particular to be of no consequence, so they ignore what we believe. They assumed we'd always stay within the four walls of the church so as to not disrupt their way of life. Now that God is raising up leaders to speak up outside the church, they don't know what to think. My guess is they will freak out and then decide it's of no consequence, and things for them will go back to normal.
One of my goals in writing God and Donald Trump was to bring a new angle into the discussion about the election. I want to present the idea that God in heaven may have answered the prayers of His people. Maybe it was His will for Trump to be elected. In the natural, that is hard to believe. But maybe some eyes will be opened to the fact that God reigns supreme over the affairs of men and that His will is revealed in the Word of God.
