Did The Latest Blood Moon Signal a Change at the Temple Mount?

“And Solomon commenced to build the House of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where He had appeared to his father David, which he had prepared in David’s place, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.” (II Chronicles: 3:1)
On the last day of the previous Shmitta year, and just two weeks before the appearance of the latest Blood Moon, Arabs armed with pipe bombs clashed with Israeli police on the Temple Mount. At that time, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said that as a result of this incident, Israel would have to reconsider the status quo on the Temple Mount. In an official statement, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas painted the incident as one of Israeli police aggression against innocent Muslims.
Ever since then, tensions on the Temple Mount continue to violently and rapidly escalate.
Rabbi Yehuda Glick, founder of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation and internationally known for his work on the Temple Mount, connects the future redemption of the Jewish people with the current clash between Jews and Muslims on the Temple Mount that escalated on the final day of the previous Shmitta year.
He assured Breaking Israel News that the holy site is centrally important to the ultimate redemption of the Jewish people. “By all means,” he said, “there is no doubt about it, that the next step in this wonderful process of redemption of the people of Israel and of the entire world will be via Temple Mount! Here in Israel, the situation is forcing us to deal with this topic, which we have been going out of our way to ignore.”
What does Shmittah, Blood Moons and the coming Jubilee have in common? Find out now!
Hashem (God) is definitely not letting us get away from confronting the core of the entire issue. I pray daily that this step will go ahead with minimum pain suffering and bloodshed,” he told Breaking Israel News.
However, how do the Blood Moons and the Jubilee fit into explaining today’s Temple Mount conflict?
When the Blood Moon cycles are examined, it becomes clear that each Blood Moon tetrad that fell on Jewish holidays brought the world a step closer to restoration of Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount.
The Blood Moon tetrads of 1949-50 occurred when the Land of Israel was restored to the Jewish people. The Blood Moon tetrads of 1967-68 occurred when the holy city of Jerusalem was reunited and returned to the dominion of the Jewish people. Today, in the era of the 2014-15 tetrad, the world’s attention is focused on the Temple Mount. The Blood Moon cycles are creating concentric circles around the Temple Mount, home of the Bible’s Holy Temples.

Pro-Israel Christian Bob O’Dell, co-author of the book “Israel FIRST!” discussed this pattern with Breaking Israel News, explicitly mentioning the Jubilee and God’s promise, found in Leviticus, that land is to be returned to the original owner in the Jubilee year.
“But if he cannot afford enough to repay him, his sale shall remain in the possession of the one who has purchased it, until the Jubilee year. And then, in the Jubilee year, it shall go out and return to his possession.” (Leviticus 25:28)
O’Dell told Breaking Israel News, “In our book, ‘Israel FIRST!’ where we examine the Blood Moons, the Shemitah, and the Jubilee, we see patterns in both the Blood Moons and the Jubilee that could lead to the restoration of Jewish worship on the Temple Mount, but for different reasons. The Blood Moons signal the rebirth of the nation of Israel in successive phases – first the nation, and then the capital. Might the next phase be the Temple Mount?”
“The Jubilee year is about the restoration of property that was sold away by your forefathers. Within a few weeks following the Six Day War in 1967, the control of the Temple Mount was handed back to the Muslims. In Jubilee years, God has repeatedly shown a pattern of restoring lands to the Jewish people. Might it happen again this Jubilee with regard to the Temple Mount?”

Experts Say the Final Blood Moon Will Mark Major “Turning Point in History” [VIDEO]

“The sun shall turn to darkness, and the moon to blood, prior to the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” (Joel 3:4)
Blood Moon experts are predicting major “turning points in history” when on September 28th, the fourth and final blood moon in the current tetrad series will take place during the commencement of the Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) holiday.
This will be the fourth time in two years that a blood moon will occur on the Jewish holiday of either Tabernacles or Passover. The significance of the event has many Jews and Christians looking to the skies and gearing up for a major event that will affect the course of both Jewish and world history.
In the past millennia, only four documented tetrads have occurred on or around the Jewish holidays of Passover and Sukkot, and each one was followed by a major event that shifted Jewish and global history. Those tetrads occurred in the years 1428-1429, 1493-1494, 1949-1950, 1967-1968, and now, in 2014-2015.
Bob O’Dell and Gidon Ariel, founders of Root Source, an educational program in which Orthodox Israeli Jews teach Christians about the Bible and Judaism from a Jewish perspective, spoke to Breaking Israel News about the significance of this event.
Both O’Dell and Ariel believe that the importance of heavenly signs should not be ignored, and that some change is to be expected in the coming year, which just so happens to be a Jubilee year.
“We are not at all predicting the end of the world or the arrival of the Messiah in September,” said O’Dell. However, “If you look at all the blood moons that have occurred in history, you see that every time they arrive, they mark turning points in history – major new trends involving the Jewish people.” O’Dell added the disclaimer that these trends often take many years to play out.
What does Shmittah, Blood Moons and the coming Jubilee have in common? Find out now!
For instance, the tetrad in 1428-1429 marked the end of a big wave of forced conversions for the Jews in Spain, and the tetrad in 1493-1494 signaled the end of the Spanish inquisition, which concluded with the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492.
“We can now look back and see that the nation of Spain was peaking in power, while God was preparing a new home for the Jews with the founding of America through Christopher Columbus,” O’Dell said.
He added that the heavenly signs also served to remind Jews of the connection between God and the Jewish people and their birthright of the land of Israel. “The blood moons occurring on those Jewish feast days were a witness that God had not forgotten His promise to return the Jews to their homeland,” said O’Dell.
In modern times, blood moons and tetrads have also pointed to significant dates. “With the blood moons of 1949-1950, 1967-1968 and 2014-2015, when we take them all together they are marking the three phases of the rebirth of the nation of Israel,” explained O’Dell.
According to O’Dell, the dates mark the creation of Israel as a nation in 1948, the unification of Jerusalem in 1967, “and as for 2015,” he said, “we will need to wait and see. But our guess is that it has to do with Israel being now able to stand upon its own without help from the United States. We also see the coming together of Christians and Jews in love and support of each other as a new spiritual trend as well.”
Gidon Ariel, the Israeli co-founder of Root Source, provided a historical perspective on the lunar occurrences. “I think that Jews paid more attention to the skies in previous eras. In Ethics of the Fathers 3:18, Rabbi Eliezer ben Hisma states that tekufot, seasons, referring to all astronomical sciences, are parparaot lachochma, side dishes of wisdom. Maimonides also went to great lengths to document lunar tables and the like,” he said.

BLOOD MOONS: What is God Telling Us?

Ariel pointed out that this trend has been largely neglected by modern Jews. “Today, some astronomy buffs might pick up on [the blood moons], but it is still pretty esoteric for the mainstream,” he told Breaking Israel News, adding, “That being said, I would mention there are more and more individuals and organizations dedicated to charting lunar data, some of them in preparation for renewing the Jewish lunar calendar based on r’eeyah, sighting, as part of the return to Temple service.”
O’Dell and Ariel have co-authored a book entitled “Israel FIRST!”, in which they highlight the importance of blood moons and other fascinating Biblical phenomenons. They hope to give the topic more appeal for both modern Jews and Christians in order to raise awareness and interest in the subject.
“For those who follow end-times prophecies, the blood moons are fascinating,” said O’Dell, explaining, “Heavenly signs are mentioned in some of the end-times Bible passages and moons specifically.”
O’Dell pointed out that the current blood moon is different from previous ones in that it will be visible in both Israel as well as in North America. “The four eclipses in 1949-1950 were all visible from Israel. The four in 1967-1968 and the four in 2014-2015 are all visible from the USA – an extremely rare occurrence. But this very last blood moon in September is visible from both Israel and the USA simultaneously. It is something to ponder,” he said.

Hagee on Iran Deal: Final Blood Moon a Divine Warning

Hagee on Iran Deal: Final Blood Moon

a Divine Warning

SAN ANTONIO -- The rise of ISIS. The Iran nuclear deal. An Israeli war with Hamas.

All of these world-altering events have taken place since Passover 2014, when the first in a series of four blood moons appeared in the sky.

We're now approaching the last of these blood moons, and some believe it could be a signal that God is getting ready to move on the world stage.

It's called a tetrad: four total lunar eclipses appearing in close succession, just a few months apart and turning the moon into an eerie blood red color.

These tetrads have been a rare occurrence throughout history, yet we are now in the midst of one. It began in April 2014 on the Jewish holiday of Passover, when the first blood moon appeared. Soon, we'll see the final blood moon: on September 28, during the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles.

A Sign from God?

The final blood moon comes as a nuclear deal is being finalized with the Iranian regime -- a deal that some fear could lead to war.

"I have said it many times and I say it again: the day America turns its back on Israel will be the day God turns his back on America," said Pastor John Hagee, who leads Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. "And the day we validate this Iran nuclear deal as signed, sealed and delivered, will be the day we stick our finger in the eye of God."

Hagee is author of the bestselling book Four Blood Moons and appears in a recent film of the same name.

He believes the current tetrad of four blood moons is a sign from God to the world that something major is about to happen involving Israel -- with Iran's drive towards a nuclear weapon being a possible trigger.

"What the United States of America has done in the Iran agreement is to guarantee war," Hagee told CBN News. "Anyone in the world who has any conception about the ideology of Iran knows war is coming. These people were shouting 'death to America' and 'death to Israel' the day they signed the deal in Iran."

"Iran has been saying for years that it is going to wipe Israel off the map," he continued. "They have the will to do it and now that the Obama administration has paved the way for them to get a nuclear weapon, they've given Iran the power to do it."

Hagee notes that the three previous tetrads of blood moons -- all falling on Jewish feast days -- have coincided with major events for Israel and the Jewish people:
In 1492, the Jews were expelled from Spain and Columbus discovered America, which would become a safe haven for the Jewish people.

In 1948, Israel was re-born as a nation.

And in 1967, Israel recaptured Jerusalem during the Six-Day War.

No Coincidence

Blood moons are mentioned in scripture, including in the Book of Joel, the Book of Revelation and the Book of Acts.

"The prophet Joel writes the words, 'I, the Lord, will cause the sun not to give its light -- a solar eclipse -- and the moon will turn to blood before the great and notable day of the Lord,'" said Hagee. "Genesis 1:14 said God is using the sun, moon and stars to send signals to mankind."

"God used the stars to cause the Magi to find Jesus Christ," he continued. "Joshua, when they were in the battle of the five kings, commanded the moon and the sun to stand still for almost a day."

Hagee believes the current tetrad of blood moons -- coming during Jewish feasts while Israel's enemies are on the march -- is no coincidence.

"The evidence is very clear Scripturally that God controls the sun, moon and stars," he said. "And that God is sending us a signal through the sun, the moon and the stars. The question is, are we listening?"

Upcoming Blood Moon to Lead to “Messianic Advancement” - Jerusalem Orthodox Rabbi

Upcoming Blood Moon to Lead to “Messianic Advancement”

“The sun shall turn to darkness, and the moon to blood, prior to the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” (Joel 3:4)
Blood moon enthusiasts around the world are eagerly awaiting the appearance of a final blood moon of a special four-moon cycle, known as a tetrad, on September 28, 2015. What makes this particular tetrad unique is that each blood moon occurs during a Jewish holiday, making it a very rare historical occurrence.
In a recent talk he gave in Jerusalem, Rabbi Mendel Kessin, a rabbinic scholar, spoke about the connection between the appearance of blood moons on Jewish holidays and historical events that bring the ultimate redemption closer. At the 36-minute mark, Rabbi Kessin introduces the history of blood moons to his Orthodox Jewish audience and explicitly connects the blood moons to redemption.
Kessin begins by explaining that a lunar eclipse occurs when the earth is between the sun and the moon, turning the moon dark. Lunar eclipses happen approximately every 12-18 months, according to Kessin. Rarer than an ordinary lunar eclipse, he continues, is a blood moon, which turns the moon red instead of dark.
Rarer still are tetrads – sequences of four blood moons six months apart. And extremely rare, happening only four times in 500 years, are tetrads that fall on the significant Jewish holidays of Passover and Sukkot [Feast of Tabernacles]. These sequences included the years 1492, 1948, 1967 and 2015.
It is commonly known that in 1492, Columbus discovered America. What is less well-known is that, on July 30, 1492, the entire Jewish community of Spain, approximately 200,000 individuals, were expelled by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. Columbus’ discovery of America provided the Spanish Jews with safe harbor. As Kessin teaches, the discovery of America softened the exile of the Spanish Jews and, in that way, moved redemption forward. According the Kessin, the exile of the Jewish people began to ease up as far back as 1492.

The next tetrad falling on Jewish holidays happened in 1948, when the State of Israel was founded. The third extremely rare tetrad on Jewish holidays was in 1967, when the city of Jerusalem was reunited. Now, in 2015, the final blood moon of the current tetrad is scheduled to fall on the first night of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
In addition, the blood moon this Sukkot will occur just two weeks after the end of the current Shemitah year. This is significant because the Talmud, the most important collection of rabbinic teachings in Judaism, suggests that the the messiah will come in the year following a Shemitah year.
Speaking to Breaking Israel News, Kessin said, “Each one of these is a messianic advancement. There are incredible events that predate the messiah.”
Why would God make blood moons a sign for the Jews? Traditionally, as recorded in the Talmud, a lunar eclipse is a bad sign for the Jews, who mark time with the moon.

On the other hand, the Jewish holidays of Passover and Sukkot are considered nights of the greatest protection of the Jews. The first night of Passover is referred to in Hebrew as leil shimurim, a night of guarding. Additionally, the outdoor booths in which Jews dwell during the holiday of Sukkot are meant as reminders of the fragile huts that protected the newly freed slaves during 40 years in the desert after the exodus from Egyptian slavery.
In essence, Kessin explains that the presence of a blood moon, which would otherwise have been a bad omen, is a good omen for the Jews whenever it falls in this sequence. “Every time a blood moon happens [on a Jewish holiday tetrad],” said Kessin, “there is messianic advancement.”
Kessin reminded Breaking Israel News that the threat from Iran is also messianic, which he says can be clearly seen from the 13th century Biblical rabbinic commentary known as the Yalkut Shimoni. Rabbinic scholar and author Rabbi Nachman Kahana translates the relevant section of the 800-year old commentary:
Paras (Persia-Iran) will be the dread of humanity. The world’s leaders will be frustrated in their futile efforts to save what they can, but to no avail. The people of Yisrael will also be petrified by the impending danger. And HaShem will say to us, “Why are you afraid? All of this I have done in order to bring you the awaited redemption. And this redemption will not be like the redemption from Egypt, which was followed by suffering. This redemption will be absolute, followed with peace.
“We have now entered the countdown to the messiah, which is unbelieveable,” Kessin told Breaking Israel News. “Based on the [verse from the Book of Joel cited above], based on what’s happening, something awesome seems to be in the works. Fascinating!”

Israel to Miss Out on 'Blood Moon' Phenomenon

Israel to Miss Out on 'Blood Moon' Phenomenon

Sunday, April 13, 2014 |  Ryan Jones  ISRAEL TODAY
The scheduled appearance of four total lunar eclipses on major Jewish holidays between this Monday night (the start of Passover 2014) and September 27, 2015 (the start of Sukkot) has the attention of much of the Christian world. But the eclipses are going to go almost totally unseen in Israel.
Data published by NASA reveals that all but the last of the four eclipses will not be visible from the Middle East, and even the fourth will only be partially visible.
Total lunar eclipses - what are often referred to as “blood moons” - are not uncommon, 13 of them having occurred since 2000. And, since both Passover and Sukkot are scheduled on the full moon, both have occasionally coincided with blood moons, the last time being the start of Sukkot in 1996.
Somewhat less common are tetrads - four consecutive total lunar eclipses with no intervening partial eclipses - which has occurred 62 times since the year 0 AD.
Seven times in the past 2000 years, a tetrad has coincided perfectly with Passover and Sukkot. One of those tetrads began just prior to the outbreak of the Six Day War in 1967. Two others (in 1493 and 1949) began more than a year after the expulsion of the Jews from Spain and the State of Israel’s declaration of independence, respectively. The other four occurred during times of no particular significance to the Jewish people.
