"Let There Be Light" ✡ Israel's Largest Menorah on the Water! - ISRAEL TODAY

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated between the light and between the darkness.

Today's Israel Inspiration

The days of Chanukah were set aside for greatness and light from the time of Creation. Let's look at the story of Creation in the Bible. Counting from the very first Hebrew word of the Torah ("Bereishit"/"in the beginning"), the 25th word is "ohr"/light, alluding to the light of Chanukah on the 25th day of Kislev! Just as God "saw the light that it was good," and then separated it from darkness, on Chanukah we recall that a little light and hope can dispel the darkness of despair. Meir Panim (lit. "lighting up faces") is brightening the lives of the poor in Israel and giving hope to struggling families and impoverished citizens this Chanukah.

Hi!  Just know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. I have my Israel Flag attached to the outside of our house in support of Israel. After the world was so devastated about the awful violence on the people in Paris, France... I said to my church friends, "Israel has lived this way for 100+ years!  Now you know what they face every day!" ... My husband and I presently live in Arkansas. He is a Baptist Pastor. GOD bless and keep you and Israel safe is our prayer. Merle Huffman Stroh

7 Ways to Bless Immigrants Instead of Bashing Them by Lee Grady - Identity Network

7 Ways to Bless Immigrants Instead of Bashing Them

by Lee Grady

Identity Network
This morning when I bought a newspaper in the Orlando airport, the man who rang up my purchase greeted me with a bashful smile. The name on his employee badge was "ZIAD." I always try to guess where people are from, but his name wasn't familiar. Was he from Lebanon? Jordan? Egypt?

Ziad finally solved the mystery. "I am Palestinian, sir," he said.

"Welcome, Ziad," I told him, "Let me be the first person to tell you today that I'm glad you are here in the United States!"
"That makes be very happy, sir," he replied.

I've been going out of my way to say kind words to immigrants these days - not just because Donald Trump has been offending them with his "all Mexicans are rapists" comments but also because I believe Christians have a responsibility to be hospitable to foreigners.

I understand the fear that has gripped our country in this age of ISIS terror. In the last month around 130 people died in the Paris attacks, 43 were killed in Beirut and 224 died in the Russian airliner that was allegedly bombed by radical jihadis. In response to the violence, 30 U.S. governors have announced that Syrian refugees aren't welcome here - even though they are fleeing to America to escape terrorists.

Entertaining Angels Unknowingly

What I don't understand is how Christians in this country can be so heartless when it comes to showing kindness to the very people Jesus told us to love. We have allowed our fear - as well as our cherished Republican Party values - to nullify God's Word. (Note to critics: I'm a Republican, but I'm a Christian first.)

The New Testament calls us to love not only the people who look like us but even those who are considered enemies. Hebrews 13:2 says: "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unknowingly." Meanwhile Christian leaders are exhorted in 1 Timothy 3:2 to be "hospitable" - and this is not simply a reference to hosting a meal. The word is in the Greek philoxenos, which means "love of strangers."

So how can you and your church obey this biblical mandate and show love to the strangers who live near you? Here are a few suggestions, offered just in time for the holiday season:
  • Say something nice. I often tell immigrants I'm glad they are in the United States - and most of them say they've never received a compliment like that before. Many of them are lonely - and they feel unwelcome, especially when Mr. Trump and other disrespectful Americans complain about foreigners as if they carry a disease.

  • Find out their story. You might be surprised to learn that the "Muslim" living in your neighborhood is actually a Middle Eastern Christian. Or that the Somali refugee who attends your child's high school fled to this country to escape a war. All you have to say is: "I'd love to hear how you came to live in America." Then listen.

  • Invite them to church. Never assume that immigrants are hostile to your faith. When I spoke recently in South Dakota, I met a Muslim girl from Uzbekistan who has been attending church for months out of curiosity. She finds love and friendship among Christians, even though she struggles to understand why Jesus died for her.

  • Offer legal help. Americans often complain about illegal immigrants without bothering to realize that many of them are eager to comply with our laws. They actually need help navigating our complicated system, which is snarled by delays and unfair to people from certain countries. Recruit lawyers in your church to provide free seminars or other legal assistance to immigrants in your area.

  • Prepare a Christmas meal. Foreigners who move to the United States are curious about the meaning of our Christmas holiday - and they won't understand it by visiting a local mall or by watching Elf. Invite international students or an immigrant family into your home and let them experience your family traditions.

  • "Adopt" a refugee family. Aside from the displaced Syrians who are waiting to come to the U.S. today, refugees from Africa and other nations are probably already living near you. Most of them have been traumatized by war, poverty or persecution - and they are lonely and insecure. Contact one of the Christian organizations working with refugees (such as World Relief) and volunteer to provide meals, babysitting, Christmas gifts or mentoring.

  • Become an English instructor. There are more than 1 million internationals studying on U.S. campuses in 2015. (The majority come from China, India, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Mexico and Brazil.) These students would love an American friend to help them with their English. Offer to be a language coach by contacting your local college or university.

While the immigrant-bashers talk of building a wall to keep immigrants out, we are called to build bridges of friendship. Let's remember that Jesus - who lived as a refugee in Egypt during His infancy - wants the church to love foreigners.

For Every 40, There is a 41 - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA MAGAZINE

For Every 40, There is a 41

Get Out of the Boat, with Shawn Akers
Have you ever had those times when you've doubted God and said to yourself, "He just doesn't care about me?" If you're honest with yourself, the answer is a cowering "yes."
Ashamedly, I know I have. Probably too many times to count.
There are times when the expectations of life don't match reality, and frustration sets in. It's a time when the enemy can steal your confidence and your joy. It's easy to become stressed and doubtful of God's Word.
For me, that's when divine appointment comes. God knows how to deliver a good word at just the right time, and He did it recently through my pastor, Ed Garvin, who preached a sermon called "Reality Check: When Expectations and Reality Collide" (the sermon starts at 16:20).
We all know the story of Joseph and the trials and tribulations he went through during his young life, before he became an extremely influential man. However, I had never heard it preached this way before.
Joseph was a man of destiny, and he sensed that at a very early age. He was convinced, as Pastor Garvin said, "that his tomorrow held greatness." Indeed it did, but little did Joseph know of the hardships he would endure before he reached that potential.
After his brothers unexpectedly turned on him and sold him into slavery, Joseph served a man named Potiphar, and he began to find favor with his master. Yet God knew better than Joseph that Joseph wasn't ready for his destiny. Joseph still had ego issues with which he had to deal, and more trouble loomed on the horizon.
Because Joseph shunned her sexual advances, Potiphar's wife accused Joseph of sexually attacking her, and Potiphar had Joseph thrown into prison. According to Genesis 39:2, "The Lord was with Joseph," yet he was imprisoned. Sound familiar? The Lord is also with you, yet your trials and tribulations overwhelm you.
Most of you know the rest of the story: Joseph languished in prison for many years, but was brought out by Pharaoh because of the gift God bestowed upon him to interpret dreams. Joseph then became, as Pastor Garvin put it, the "second most influential man on the planet" and realized his destiny. In other words, something incredible happened between Genesis chapter 40 and Genesis chapter 41. Joseph matured in the Lord. Romans 8:28 says, "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Sound familiar? For every 40, there is a 41.
  • God rained his judgment upon the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. On the 41st day, a rainbow appeared and God vowed never to destroy the earth again.
  • The Israelites wandered through the desert for 40 years. In year 41, they reached the Promised Land.
  • For 40 days, Goliath hammered on the armies of Israel. But on the 41st day, David showed up and slew Goliath.
  • For 40 days and nights, Jesus fasted and prayed in the wilderness. On the 41st day, Satan left Him and the angels ministered to Him (Matt. 4:11).
For every season of difficulty, there is a season of destiny. So what should you do during your season of difficulty in order to help find your season of destiny? As Pastor Garvin says:
  1. Recognize it as God's course of preparation. You need to be refined.
  2. Respond to the needs of others. Stop the "woe is me" mentality and focus on others who need help.
  3. Resist the urge to compromise. Keep your integrity and don't take shortcuts.
  4. Remain patient in the process. As Joyce Meyer says, "the longer you complain about your situation, the longer you will remain in your wilderness."
  5. Realize your "41 moment." It's coming. God wants it for you so badly.
Joseph needed wisdom and humility, and it took 13 years of tribulation to find it. I've been through a similar process. But thankfully, a good friend has prophesied over me that my time is coming, if I remain faithful to the Lord. Thank you for the good word, Kathy DeGraw.
Unlike Joseph, hopefully it won't take 13 years for you to have your rough edges sanded. But you can rest assured God knows exactly when you are ready to fulfill your destiny and He won't pull you out of your season of testing—or your 40—before He feels you are ready. Get ready to fulfill your destiny.
And as I always like to say, "there is that."

End of Days: The Awakened Church Empowered by the Holy Spirit Paperback – November 2, 2015

Get it before Christmas. Select delivery options in checkout.

My heart yearns for the glory of the Lord Jesus to be revealed in the earth, touching the hearts and souls of men, women and children in each and every nation. As we see the days become darker, we believe that the Lord God of Israel will show Himself strong, and prove that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, as He says He is.
I wrote this book for you who also long to walk in strong faith, courage and commitment to the end, for whatever the Lord has planned and purposed for you and I. Together, as the Body of Christ, and the glorious Bride that we will become, we will one day see His Kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
The Gospel, the Good News of salvation, will be declared, and that which is just and good will for all eternity overcome the evil one. I sincerely believe we are living in the end of days, as prophetic words have been rapidly fulfilled since the re-birth of Israel in 1948. Jesus Himself had said that when we see the fig tree budding, we know that the time is near.
This book, my 10th published in the last three years (all between 2013-2015) and before my 61st birthday, is very special to me. I sense it is something the Lord put on my heart to do several months ago, giving it that “urgency of getting it done and out there” feel as I wrote.
Originally these chapters were Now Think On This messages. It was amazing to me how many were done in September and October of 2015 alone, as the Holy Spirit would speak a word or sentence to me, and I would write soon after. I am truly grateful for His impartation, and acknowledge Jesus (Yeshua), my Lord and Savior, above all.
The photos I have included in the book are primarily ones I took (exceptions noted), both to document history and to share another way the Lord also speaks to His Body. Capturing moments of the Holy Spirit action, especially in the two “fire” photos, were exciting. In both cases I wasn’t even aware of it until they were “developed”.
I trust this book will both encourage you and cause you to re-commit yourself - to know the Lord’s will for your life, do all you can to allow Him to direct your steps, and be the light in these dark days we desperately need and have been called upon by the Lord to be. I am with you, arm in arm! Ahava (love in Hebrew) and shalom (peace),

Priest to EU: You Boycott Israel as Christian Blood Spills | David Lazarus ISRAEL TODAY

Priest to EU: You Boycott Israel as Christian Blood Spills

Thursday, December 10, 2015 |  David Lazarus  ISRAEL TODAY
The speaker was Gabriel Naddaf (center of photo), a spokesman for the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and spiritual leader of the Nazareth-based movement encouraging young Arabic-speaking Christians to join the Israel Defense Forces.
Naddaf was standing before the European Parliament for an emergency session on the recent limitations being imposed on Israeli produce in European markets.
In his speech, Father Naddaf said that the decision to exclusively mark Israeli products in Europe is racist and anti-Semitic, whether this is being done openly or quietly on the side. “This is anti-Semitism at it’s worse,” Naddaf exclaimed, noting that singling out products made in Israel will hurt all the citizens of Israel, Arab and Jew alike. But most of all it will damage the Palestinians, as tens of thousands of Palestinian families earn their living from the very factories being boycotted by the Europeans.
“Singling out Israeli products betrays the very core of Europe’s Christian heritage, and is yet another sign of the weakening Christian values in Europe,” Naddaf told the parliamentarians.
The priest added:
“While Europe is busy specially marking Israeli products, the lands throughout the Middle East and Africa are being drenched daily with the blood of Christians. In the Middle East there is only one country, just one where Christians can live in security, where they can prosper, and where there have freedom of religious expression. Here Christians are able to practice their religious traditions, can be elected to parliament and where they have full democratic rights. It is the only country in the Middle East where the Christian population is growing and prospers.
"This is the Jewish nation, the nation of Israel – and we, the Christians, must protect her, and protect the freedoms we Christians have here in Israel. We Christians should be protecting this holy land, which is the source of the Christian faith.”
In closing, Naddaf stated that he will continue to fight against any and all attempts to harm or weaken Israel in any way. He promised to also continue the fight against any attempt by anyone to damage the Israeli economy, or to sour relationships between Christians and Jews in Israel.
Father Naddaf supports the full integration of Arabic-speaking Christians in all of Israel’s institutions, including the army and national service. As a result of that, he has received threats by other Israeli Arabs, even politicians. His oldest son, Jubran, was physically attacked on December 2013 for the activities of his father. On the other hand, Naddaf has received the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Ministry of Defense, members of the Knesset and other Israeli officials.

Obama: Terror Is Our Fault; Perps are ‘victims’! - Ron Cantor

Obama: Terror Is Our Fault; Perps are ‘victims’!

President Obama gave his weekly address on Saturday. Shockingly he presented the perpetrators of the San Bernardino terror attacks as victims and said that we need to do more to prevent others from falling prey. He presents ‘radicalization’ as something that can be caught, like a virus. We address this in our latest video.
We must be in prayer for America and plead for revival in the Middle East!

Thank you Ron Cantor! we appreciate and support your work!

Orthodox Rabbis: Christianity a 'Divine' Gift to the World - CBN News

Orthodox Rabbis: Christianity a 'Divine' Gift to the World

12-09-2015 CBN News

A group of Orthodox rabbis have issued a public statement calling Christianity a gift to the world.
"We acknowledge that Christianity is neither an accident nor an error, but the willed divine outcome and gift to the nations," read the statement published by the Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation in Israel.
This comes after nearly two millennia of mutual hostility and alienation between Jews and Christians.
The statement, titled "To Do the Will of Our Father in Heaven: Toward a Partnership between Jews and Christians," has been signed by more than two dozen Orthodox rabbis so far, including those from the U.S. and the chief rabbis of two European countries.
It calls for cooperation between Jews and Christians to address the moral and religious challenges of our times.
"We seek to do the will of our Father in Heaven by accepting the hand offered to us by our Christian brothers and sisters. Jews and Christians must work together as partners to address the moral challenges of our era," the statement read.
While the group wants Jews and Christians to work together, it acknowledged the differences between the faiths.
"Our partnership in no way minimizes the ongoing differences between the two communities and two religions," the rabbis said. "We believe that G-d employs many messengers to reveal His truth, while we affirm the fundamental ethical obligations that all people have before G-d that Judaism has always taught through the universal Noahide covenant."
