"Tabernacle of David" ✡ Karmey Chesed is Rebuilding Jerusalem Through Kindness - ISRAEL365

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old.

AMOS 9:11

Today's Israel Inspiration

Today's verse tells of how God will raise up the Sukkah of David, Tabernacle of David, once again. The return of David's Sukkah is the most obvious sign of the return of Jerusalem to its ideal glory. Karmey Chessed ("Vineyards of Kindness") is doing this holy work today as it builds the city of Jerusalem through kindness. Right now, it is providing the defenders of Jerusalem with sumptuous meals this holiday season.

Sukkot Falling Down

In this hilarious remake of a popular Beatles song, a group of young  Jewish musicians sing about the activities involved in the Holiday of Sukkot.

US Defense Firm to Produce Iron Dome Missiles

American-based international defense corporation, Raytheon, has won the contract to produce the Tamir missiles for Israel’s Iron Dome batteries. The contract is estimated to be worth $149.3 million.

Israeli Coin Cufflinks Half Shekel

The half shekel was the traditional biblical contribution of each Israelite, when a census was taken. These cufflinks, made from actual Israeli coins, feature the classic Lion of Judah with the word “Israel” written below in Hebrew.

Today's Israel Photo

Today's picture, by Amos Gal, shows stones that remain from the Temple times. A permanent reminder to keep Jerusalem in our prayers; may it be rebuilt in its full glory.

Yesterday's Photo Trivia

Sukkot was placed at the beginning of fall when the weather becomes colder and people no longer sit outdoors for pleasure. We sit in a Sukkah at this time of year to demonstrate that we do so solely to fulfill God's commandment.
