Go See 'In Our Hands,' Which Tells the Miracle Story of the Six-Day War

Strang Report, by Steve Strang, Founder of Charisma magazine
SPECIAL ENCORE PRESENTATION THURSDAY, JUNE 1 - IN THEATERS AGAIN
Fifty years ago, a miracle happened. Israel defeated their neighbors in what has become known as the Six-Day War and reunified Jerusalem for the first time in approximately 2,000 years.
Gordon Robertson of CBN had the vision to create a docudrama drawing from the actual journals, recordings and interviews with survivors of what happened in faithful hours. It is showing on Tuesday, May 23, in more than 700 theaters around the country—for one night only.
I had the privilege of screening the movie in advance, and it is excellent, which you can tell from the trailer here. It tells the story from the Jewish perspective and reveals a great deal of little-known but very interesting information, such as how the soldiers who took the Temple Mount were actually reservists rather than an elite military team. The film also gives some insight into the personalities of some of those involved.
I was pleased to interview Robertson on my "Strang Report" podcast, which you can listen to below. He talks about how the Six-Day War is a fulfillment of Luke 21:24 (MEV), "And Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
In 1967, Gordon was only 9 when his father, Pat Robertson—who has been a strong supporter for Israel for decades and is a real student of Bible prophecy—sat the family down and told them the significance of what was happening in the Six-Day War.
On our calendar, the anniversary of the beginning of The Six-Day War is June 5, but because the Jewish calendar is different, it is actually May 23 when the Jews celebrate Jerusalem Day worldwide. This significant day, Yom Yerushalayim, is the day the movie is being released.
President Donald Trump had planned a major speech from Masada—the site in the Judaean wilderness where Jews fought the Romans until the last person died. Instead, the speech will come at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem (the location hadn't changed when the podcast was recorded). This is the first international trip of his Trump's presidency, and he obviously picked this date because of the significance to the Jewish people in order to make a point.
Sadly, the Obama administration almost seemed more sympathetic toward Israel's Arab enemies than it did to Israel. In the closing days of Obama's administration, the United States abstained from vetoing a United Nations resolution that condemned Israel for "occupying" the West Bank, which includes East Jerusalem.
As Gordon points out in the podcast, the Six-Day War is more than politics. It was God Almighty who prophesied in His Word that this war would happen. For Christians, it is also significant because the area being disputed is also the sight of the Holy Sepulchre, the Garden of Gethsemane and the City of David.
While the prophecy in Luke 21:24 was fulfilled in 1967, Gordon explains there is another great prophecy—that all the nations of the world will assemble against Jerusalem (Zech. 14:2). This is something that is obviously very serious and, as a strong supporter of Israel, I hate to think the United States would ever align with the enemies of Israel to oppose that country.
I plan to personally invite some Jewish friends to see the movie with me next Tuesday, and I urge you to do the same. In fact, you can get group tickets by visiting inourhands1967.com.
I congratulate Gordon Robertson and his team on an excellent project. The timing is incredible. My hope is that this movie will help reveal to those who may be on the fence regarding the Israel-Arab conflict how God's hand is on the nation of Israel and on the events of 1967.
Please share this on social media as well as with members of your church and others in your circle of influence, and let's pack out those theaters on Tuesday, May 23.

International Bigotry Over Jerusalem - Ariel Rudolph ISRAEL TODAY

International Bigotry Over Jerusalem

Tuesday, May 16, 2017 |  Ariel Rudolph  ISRAEL TODAY
The world powers, EU and the UN are consistent over one thing. Their bigotry regarding Jerusalem.
On November 29, 1947 the UN passed Resolution 181(II) - the Partition Plan of Mandatory Palestine at the end of the British Mandate. The resolution recommended the separation into three parts: an Arab State, a Jewish State and the City of Jerusalem - the Jerusalem Corpus Separatum.
According to the plan, Jews and Arabs living in the Jewish state would become citizens of the Jewish state and Jews and Arabs living in the Arab state would become citizens of the Arab state.
The Plan was accepted by the Jewish Agency for Palestine, despite its perceived limitations while Arab leaders and governments of the surrounding Arab States rejected it and indicated an unwillingness to accept any form of territorial division or to accommodate any form of Jewish State being established in the region.
Immediately after adoption of the Resolution by the General Assembly a civil war broke out, which delayed the implementation of the partition plan. This resistance to the establishment of a Jewish State by the Arab States led to the Declaration of Independence of the nascent State of Israel on May 14, 1948. The next day the combined forces of Lebanon, Syria, the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan, Iraq and Egypt attacked Israel and would "continue fighting until the Zionists were annihilated and driven into the sea".
As a result of this attack on the nascent State of Israel, Jerusalem was attacked and the eastern parts of the city, including the walled Old City of Jerusalem, were occupied by the forces of Transjordan, supported by Iraqi forces. Thus the Arabs were the first entity to occupy any part of the "Jerusalem Corpus Separatum" in contravention of UN Resolution 181 (II).
On January 23, 1950, after the Armistice agreement following the War of Independence, the Israeli Knesset voted that Jerusalem be the capital of the State of Israel by 60 - 2 votes and issued the following declaration: “Whereas with establishment of the state of Israel, Jerusalem once more becomes the capital; Whereas practical difficulties which caused the Knesset and government institutions to be temporarily housed elsewhere have now for the most part been removed and the government is carrying out the transfer of its institutions to Jerusalem; The Knesset expresses the wish that construction of the seat of the government and Knesset in Jerusalem proceed speedily on the site allotted by the government for this purpose.”
During the years 1948 - 1967 there were no condemnations of the Arab occupation of Eastern Jerusalem, in contravention of UN Resolution 181 (II), neither were there any calls for the Arabs to relinquish their control over the city.
Only after the Six Day War in June 1967, where Israel reunited Jerusalem into a single city, did the international forum refer to the Eastern parts of Jerusalem as "occupied".
On Sunday, on the eve of the 69th anniversary of the declaration of war by the Arabs on the "Zionist entity" - the "Nakba" or the "catastrophe" - employees of the US Consulate in Jerusalem, that were involved in advanced preparations of President Trump's official state visit to Israel, once again caused an uproar. As the team approached the Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City the American employees turned to the Israeli officials accompanying them stating, "We're asking you to leave, and we need to be left alone. Israeli officials cannot be here; this is not your territory, it's the West Bank."
This outburst, by American State Department employees, is in stark contrast by recent announcements and stated positions by the United State's UN Ambassador Nikki Haley regarding Israel's historical connections to Jerusalem.

No where is "fake news" and "alternative facts" more employed than in reporting on Israel and the Mideast conflict.

Jerusalem Log #6 - Friday 05.05.17 Jerusalem, Israel - “Ice Cream in All Flavors”

 “Ice Cream in All Flavors”
Steve Martin
Jerusalem Log #6 - Friday 05.05.17

Greetings from the land of Israel.

I certainly have enjoyed writing these brief daily logs. I hope you have found pleasure in reading them!

We each have our favorite flavor of ice cream. For some, the standard, foundational choices of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry satisfy just fine. Neapolitan I believe if you want all three at once. For the bold and adventurous type, Rocky Road, Mint Chocolate Chip or Carmel Pecan does it for you.

For me – it’s Rocky Road baby! (Mint chocolate is a close second.)

When it comes to the inhabitants and amazing cultures in Israel, here too there are many flavors. Just among the Jews themselves you have variations ranging from the Ultra-Orthodox, the Messianics, the secular, and a few in between each.

Then there are the Arab Christians, the Arab Muslims, and I suppose just Arabs. I know a few shop owners in the Old City who would probably adhere to one label, but really not devoted to religion but primarily their daily business.

And within the mix of all this, especially in the larger cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Eilat and Tiberias, of course you have the tourists. Now there for sure is a wide choice of creams in all colors, shapes and sizes.

Not only have the Jewish people returned to their Land permanently with aliyah, to join those already living here, you also have in the Land at all times the tourists coming for a few days or a few weeks. They too have arrived from England, France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, India, Brazil, Kenya, Canada, and of course the good old US of A, from where I reside in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Walking through the historical and spiritual sites, you hear all the different languages and thank the Lord that He is not a “one flavor” God. He creates and loves them all.

Tourists from India in Bethlehem

For those who have had the great joy of coming to Israel on a tour or to visit friends as I do, you know what I am talking about. For the ones reading this who never have, and hope to, I am glad to share my heart in words, pictures and videos with you. May you experience a taste of Israel through these, and enjoy your favorite ice cream while you do! (Pass the chocolate syrup please.)

Ahava (love) and Shalom (peace) from Israel!

The Barrier is Broken in Messiah - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

At a time when the UN is falsely trying to accuse Israel of 'Apartheid' (which literally means 'apart-hood' in Afrikaans), we are determined to stand together as One New Man in Messiah!

Israel is a mixed society with Jews, Arabs and other minority groups, all having equality before the law. In contrast, the Apartheid regime of South Africa separated Whites and Blacks by law, prohibiting living together, traveling together, studying together, and even going to the same cinemas or beaches. That kind of separation and rejection is the opposite of love. Here at Israel College of the Bible, want to display God's love and bring glory to him through our unity.

Yeshua's prayer recorded in John 17, shortly before he died:

"I pray not on behalf of these only, but also for those who believe in Me through their message, that they all may be one. Just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, so also may they be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory that You have given to Me I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one - I in them and You in Me-that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them as You loved Me."

As our Jewish and Arab staff and students have been made new in Messiah, we can love each other, learn side by side, grow together and serve together, showing the world that Yeshua can break down every barrier between us. There is no divide that Yeshua cannot overcome, and no brokenness that he cannot heal. We are not only learning how to study the Bible in depth together, but we are also learning how to walk it out in our everyday lives. By taking this message out to the world, others can see that our Messiah is the Prince of Peace.

WATCH THE STORY OF HOW SAM MET HIS MESSIAH!

Sam Nadler was a hardened atheist, war veteran and drug dealer. He was invited to a Bible study, and went to laugh at the believers... but some time later, ended up with an inexpressible joy that will last forever! He has since written some great Bible studies for new Jewish believers who found themselves in the same situation he found himself in... "Jesus saved me! What do I do now?" Sam's discipleship books are used all over Israel and beyond.

WHY DON'T MANY JEWS ACCEPT JESUS AS MESSIAH?

It can be bewildering considering that Yeshua the Messiah was an Israeli-born Jew, grew up in a Jewish community, practiced Jewish laws and customs, worshiped God at the Jewish Temple, his original followers were Jewish, and that all of his teaching was based upon and rooted in the Jewish Scripture that so many Jewish people find him incompatible with Judaism. Continue reading...

Why Believers Should Join This Group Set on Obliterating This Deceptive Cancer - BLAKE LORENZ CHARISMA NEWS

Why Believers Should Join This Group Set on Obliterating This Deceptive Cancer

BLAKE LORENZ  CHARISMA NEWS
Last week, I sat listening to a lecture by Dr. Hanson, an associate professor at the University of Central Florida, on the new anti-Semitism that is spreading throughout the Middle East and Europe. My heart grieved as I heard the horrors of what is being done to the Jews today in our age of progressive freedom.
This new intellectual ideology is supposed to be a rallying cry for the oppressed against the oppressor. Instead, it has become a deceptive cancer, eating at the heart of our society in the form of anti-Semitism. Make no mistake, what is being done to the Jews is pure evil. We are without excuse. None is innocent, for we are our brothers' keeper.
In this new world order, Israel is equated with Nazi Germany as the oppressor of Palestinians. As the Nazis exterminated the Jews is World War II, so are the Jews seeking to wipe out the Palestinians. This twisted logic and propaganda has caused a new generation of Jew haters to arise in Europe, inspired by the false teachings coming out of the Middle East.
It is filled with a racial hatred that is causing the burning of synagogues, murder of the Jews, destruction of their stores and a boycott of their goods produced in Israel. Jewish cemeteries are desecrated and children are taught to kill the Jews.
The Obama administration looked the other way in sinful denial of this persecution of the Jews as it tried to bury our heads in the sands of politically correct language. One example was their feeble attempt to say the fire bombing of a kosher restaurant in France was a random act of violence. They implied it was not anti-Semitism because customers were hurt who were not Jewish.
The root of this anti-Semitism comes from Christian Europe when Constantine, the newly converted Roman Emperor, ordered the Roman Empire to become Christian. This began the sick seed that said Jews were Christ-killers. They deserved to be persecuted, hunted and driven from Europe.
The blood of many Jews lies on the hands of Christians, whose own Savior is a Jew. This truth needs to be confessed before God and the world, the result of which needs to be repentance shown in love and the building of relationships with the Jewish community.
The Arab world is the largest sponsor of the new anti-Semitism. They claim the Jews are colonial oppressors of the Palestinians. Yet any honest study of history shows it was the Muslim Arabs who were the imperialist colonial power that came out of the Arabian Peninsula to conquer the ancient land of Israel.
The Palestinians are actually the descendants of the colonial oppressors of Israel. Now that Israel has been reborn, the Jews are reclaiming their homeland, which they settled 2,000 years before the Muslim Arabs came as conquerors into their cities and villages.
What is the answer to the propaganda that has unleashed the terrors of anti-Semitism spreading across the globe from Siberia to Iran to Syria to North Africa to Europe onto the American continents and even into China and the countries of Asia?
We must stand up for the truth by educating ourselves with the facts of history in order to show the ugliness of these lies that spread hatred and harm. We need to organize like the Zionistas, who sponsored this lecture on "The New Anti-Semitism." They are a group of Jews and Christians dedicated to the truth in uniting our communities in love.
Jesus said, "The truth will set you free." As Christians, we cannot deny the sins of our fathers and also the sins of today in the church by our neglect of this harbinger of death. We must open our doors in love and support of the Jews and Israel, but not as an arm of prejudice against Arabs, Muslims or even deceived Christians.
There needs to be a dialogue and strong witness that we will not allow any form of anti-Semitism or prejudice against any group of people, but speak the truth in love with authority and power—not in physical force, but in humility and faith in the living God Who created us in His image.
A new movie called Hate Spaces, the Politics of Intolerance on Campus has been produced, of which Alan Dershowitz says, "Hate Spaces is a wake-up call to the Jewish community and to civil society in America about the institutionalization of bigotry on college campuses."
Hatred of the Jews is real in our global network. Indifference and ignorance are no excuses to allow its terror to spread through propaganda and the false teachings of history. "For evil to triumph, all it takes is for good men to do nothing." —Edmund Burke
Let us unite together to extinguish this plague of death once and for all, so we can live in love as God created us to be as our God in heaven is one.
