Prophetic Word for 2017: Get Your Hopes Up! by Doug Addison IDENTITY NETWORK

Prophetic Word for 2017: Get Your Hopes Up! by Doug Addison

IDENTITY NETWORK

2017 is going to be a time in which many of the least likely people begin to awaken to God's love. A long-awaited start of global awakening and revival will take place. Many of these people have been rejected by the Church, but God is saying, "I have not forgotten them and their cries have reached my ears."

Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord. Psalm 117:1–2 (NIV)

The world is going to awaken to the awesome power of the Lord. There is a reason for all the turmoil and attacks. It is the enemy not wanting us to see what God is about to do. God is more powerful than Satan and some people have fallen into the trap of looking at the storms and believing this is judgment against us. God has a solution in the midst of it all that will unfold in 2017.

Due Season is Now Overdue

The lives and ministries of people were brought into the Courts of Heaven over Rosh Hashanah last October 2016. Last year, the Lord examined our lives with the highest level of the heavenly court system. Daniel 7 Ancient of Days court sessions were held over us all. This is similar to the level of the Supreme Courts on Earth.

Everyone went through an assessment to see if we are ready to advance to the next level with the Lord. Many people were promoted spiritually this year and the Lord is now releasing special plans and assignments for those who have walked through the painful preparation it takes and are crying out for mercy and not judgment.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

I heard the Lord say, "This is your due season and it is overdue for many." Do not give up as this is a season to reap. It is not far off. Things are going to begin lining up for you over the next few months. The Lord has not forgotten you! For many, the very reason you came to Earth is about to be revealed in 2017.

Wind of Change Coming

Expect to see backlogs of blessings and unanswered prayer come to you over the next 3 months. Between now and March things will start to line up with greater clarity. What currently looks like losses will suddenly turn around for many people. Though it seems that darkness is winning, after March this is going to take a quick turn for the good.

I have observed that the Wind of Change angel from Heaven shows up March through May each year. Expect the Wind of Change to blow heavy this year. It will help remove debris from our lives and uncover new hidden treasures.

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. Isaiah 45:3 NIV

Angel is Ready to Dance

God spoke to me that many forgotten prophetic words from the past are coming to us in 2017.

I had a spiritual experience at Rosh Hashanah on September 28, 2011 in which I saw an angel that was in position and about to dance. In the vision the place where I saw the angel standing looked like a combination of San Francisco, Las Vegas and Hollywood.

The Lord said that when this angel dances it will shake things open and release finances, favor and an anointing to bring people into God's Kingdom. In the experience, many of us had been waiting a long time for this angel to dance. Then without warning, it danced and the ground shook and golden coins filled the streets.

This is the release of Kingdom finances that will be needed to impact the world for God. It is also a shaking coming in the way we do things. Watch for this angel to dance over your city!

Two Moves of God Coming

There are going to be 2 moves of God.

1. The first is going to be inside the Church and in the lives of Christians—it is designed to awaken and prepare us.

2. The second is a wave of revival that will be geared to those who have been rejected by Christians or have been considered unclean or even an abomination. What is coming might seem to be a stretch to many people, as some of our current ways of doing things will not work to reach those who have been rejected. I have been prophesying this for a number of years now and I call this group the spiritual outcasts. They are the ones that did not fit into churches or had a bad experience and went away, never to return.

Billion Soul Revival

This year will be the start of the Billion Soul Revival—though it will not look like it on the surface. Do not despise humble beginnings. The late prophet Bob Jones prophesied this revival would happen. Sadly, Bob died in 2014 without seeing the fulfillment of it.

On September 22, 2016 I heard a counsel meeting in the Courts of Heaven. It was about Bob Jones' life and ministry and his prophecy of the Billion Soul Revival. Many people have forgotten about it, but God has not forgotten this prophetic promise and plans are being made now to fulfill it on Earth.

During the counsel meeting, the tasks of fulfilling the revival were split into thousands of assignments. No one man or woman could carry this mantle alone. Bob carried the strategies; but now the actual fulfillment plans are being released to us.

A New Jesus People Movement Coming

The Jesus People movement of the late 60s–early 70s was the last known revival in North America. This was a theologically messy movement as many hippies turned on to Jesus and became Jesus Freaks.

The Jesus People movement started in San Francisco and was taken to Southern California and then to the world. This movement had a strong belief in miracles, signs and wonders, faith, healing, prayer, the Bible and powerful works of the Holy Spirit. It changed the face of Christianity and broke the religious spirit of that day. Sadly, it was rejected by the majority of the Church.

There is a new Jesus People movement that is going to start in San Francisco again. It will not start with the hippies as it did then, but it will be among the sexually broken and the Fatherless generation crying out for God's love. 2017 will mark the start of something new in San Francisco that will go to Southern California and then to the world.

A Golden Gate Opened

The Lord spoke to me to go to San Francisco on New Year's Eve 2016 and open a gate in the spirit that will release the strategies for the next coming revival. I tried that night, but it would not open until the next day when I repented on behalf of all the people who have cursed and judged San Francisco.

As I removed these curses, the gate opened over the city of the Golden Gate. This is a key to opening revival and blessings over your house, church, business, city and nation.

The Glory of God is Returning in 2017

During the Jesus People movement in the early 1970s there was a strong presence of God's Glory. It was like a liquid anointing or tangible atmosphere that could be felt by many people. Without God's greater glory and power, we will not be able to be part of a revival and movement as big as what God has in store for us.

In 1975, the Lord spoke to Bob Jones that the greater Glory of God was going to leave the Church because it was used for man's gain instead of for revival and the Lord's work. On March 17, 1977 Bob saw this glory lift from the Church and it has not returned since. Yes, there are people who still carry portions of it, but overall, the glory of God has not been on the Church at large since that time.

March 17, 2017 is the 40th anniversary of the Glory departing. This is the year that the Glory of God is going to return to the Church. Like the glory of the 1970s it will not be limited to the four walls of a Church. Similar to the Jesus People movement, the Glory of God is coming with signs and wonders, healing and miracles and will begin to touch those outside the church and into the streets.

In closing, I am not saying all of these things about the big revival will take place in 2017. But God is planning and positioning us for them.

This will indeed be a year that started out looking evil and dark but will end with greater hope and more of the light of the Lord being released.

Get your hopes up as God has not forgotten you!

Blessings.

Ottoman Imperial Archives Releases Important Mystery Photo of Jerusalem

Posted: 18 May 2015

The Ottoman Imperial Archives continues to digitize and post Online its massive collection of documents, photos and illustrations.

Resposible archivists and librarians around the world realize the importance of digitizing its treasures and sharing them with the world.

We will continue to present and analyze the photographs from this archive as we review and identify them, but we wanted to immediately share this historic photograph of Jerusalem's Old City taken from the Mount of Olives.

Jerusalem's Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque. Also note the small Muslim
graveyard in front of the city wall and the "Golden Gate" or "Gate of Mercy." (Ottoman Imperial Archives)

We surmise that the photographer or owner of the photo was French from the notes made on the image to identify 16 sites numbered on the photograph.  It is difficult to read the notes, but number 3, "Mosque d'Omar," and number 12, "Tombeau de David [David's Tomb]," are legible  and in French.

But when was the photograph taken?

The answer is provided by one of the landmarks not contained on the tourist list -- the Tiferet Yisrael Synagogue near the Hurva Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter.

The Hurva and Tiferet Yisrael Synagogues. The former
was built by students of the Gaon of Vilna, the latter
by followers of Hasidic sects. The two groups
frequently clashed.

The Gates of Jerusalem's Old City -- In Honor of "Jerusalem Day"

Israel's History - a Picture a Day (Beta)

Sha'arei Hulda, the Double & Triple Gates, now sealed

עומדות, היו רגלינו בשערייך, ירושלים
ירושלים הבנויה כעיר שחוברה-לה יחדיו
Our feet did stand firm within your gates, O Jerusalem
Jerusalem, built up, is like a city that is united
- Psalms 122

Israel celebrated "Jerusalem Day" May 28, 2014, commemorating the reuniting of the city of Jerusalem during the 1967 war.  For 19 years, between 1948 and 1967, the city was split between warring Jordanian and Israeli forces.

Thousands of Israelis visited Jerusalem, danced to the Western Wall, and marched around the Old City's gates.  We present here antique pictures of the gates, some taken 160 years ago.

Dec. 14, 2013

Dear Steve,

Shalom. I have just sent emails and news from Israel and other festival dates which I needed (to the ones we stayed at in Jerusalem), saying thanks for their prayers and care of our stay, wishing everyone from us a blessing.

I am at Mucherla with our team and pastors, They have seen the DVD and photos from my trip to Israel with you. Everyone saw you walking with me. All are surprised about the trip of Israel. Praise God! I am so blessed to have travelled with you. God provided for me to be with you as a partner with mission. I thank GOD.

Our team of five each has two going from house to house lighting the candle for Christmas. Many have seen my baptism at the River Jordan, praising GOD for the chance which I have with you. Many thanks for your goodness and love. I will come again 2014 and planning to bring few with me, but the cost is higher for them.

One Catholic sister, whom I gave her a rosary, was very much happy to see you travel with us. Let us pray Yeshua will open the doors for many people from India to be with us.

Please send the details of festivals and holidays in Israel so I can pray for us many. David, Lucie and Joseph were very much happy to see the DVD and photos from Israel on the Ahava Adventures trip in November.

Israel's History - a Picture a Day (Beta) - Rare Century-Old Photos of Golden Gate and Temple Mount

Golden Gate [Shaar HaRachamim in Hebrew] of Jerusalem's Old City
(Oregon State University Archives) See more on the Golden Gate here

We continue with more photos and original captions from the Oregon State University Archives.  View Part 1 here.  The captions provide a fascinating commentary on historical understanding of areas in the Holy Land a century ago, including a comment about "Jewish Zionists."  The pictures are dated as "circa 1910."

View the Oregon State University Archives' complete collection here.

The Archives' captions appear in blue below.

Golden Gate image (above] description from historic lecture booklet: "The Golden Gate is in the East wall of the Haram or temple area. Ezekiel, the prophet, says that it was shut in his day and must not be opened for any man, "for the Lord, the God of Israel hath entered in by it , therefore it shall be shut." Ezekiel 44:1,2. Traditionally, this is the Beautiful Gate of Acts 3:2, but that gate was evidently much nearer to the Temple. But actually dates from the fifth or perhaps the seventh, Christian century. It was restored in 1892; it is still architecturally interesting from the inside, where a staircase ascends to the roof."

Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount of Jerusalem
(Oregon State University Archives)

"One of the handsome southern approaches to the mosque of Omar, a Mohammedan temple of religion. The mosque is on the higher level. In the immediate foregrounds is one of the famous fountains of the Temple area, and men may be seen at their religious ablutions. When one reaches the approach it is necessary to rent slippers. They are always kept on hand for the purpose of entering the Mosque and are retained until the visitor finished not only the Mosque of Omar, but also the Mosque el-Aksa on the south end of the area. This is an act of reverence just as we would remove our hats when going into a church."

The interior of the Dome of the Rock
(Oregon State University Archives)
Note how the crevices of the Rock are deeper than those
seen in other photos of the surface.

"This rock has been regarded as sacred from the earliest times. Long before the Hebrew occupation of Palestine [Editor's note: some 3,500 years ago], this striking formation led the ancients to view this as a Holy mount. Its length is about 58 feet, the breadth nearly 52 feet. It extends above the surrounding pavement from four to six and half feet. Here on Mount Moriah, which is called also Zion, Abraham was about to offer Isaac. Here by the threshing-floor of Araunsh, David saw the destroying angel. Here also Solomen [sic] built the temple, but this rock was not within it as it is within the Mosque. It is probable that the altar of sacrifice stood on the rock.
The interior of the Mosque, which is an octagon with sides 66 feet 7 inches in length, is 174 feet in diameter. It is divided by its two series of supports into three concentric parts. The pillars were all taken from older buildings. An inscription in the oldest Arabic character, Cufic, records that "Adballah el-Iman el-Melik, prince of the faithful erected this dome in the year 72-692 A.D.["] It is in the Arabian style."

Safed [Tzfat in Hebrew], holy Jewish city in the Galilee
(Oregon State University Archives) See more on Safed here

"About ten miles northwest of the Sea of Galilee on a very high hill (2,749 feet) of the ancient province of Galilee, is situated the city of Safed, which is thought by some to be the city referred to by Jesus in His sermon on the mount (Matt 5:14).

[Editor's note: There is little archaeological evidence of Safed's existence as a population center at the time of the Second Temple.]
You remember the words of our Lord to his disciples in the Sermon on the Mount? "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." He may have pointed to this very hill and this very city, now known as Safed, in northern Galilee. Although no place having this location is named in the Bible, it is probable that in Christ's day, a city was standing on this hill, for in the New Testament period, this land was densely populated. Safed stands as a landmark, seen in every direction, and well illustrated the words of Jesus regarding the prominence of his disciples in the world."

Christian pilgrims on their way from the Jordan River to Jerusalem
(Oregon State University Archives)

"This picture is taken along the Jericho road looking west toward Jerusalem. The subject of the picture "Pilgrims" is one that has its place in all histories of religion. The present motley crowd is made up of a number of nationalities, but the majority are Russians. These have already been to the Jordon at their reputed places of the baptism of Jesus. and are now returning to the Holy City to partake in the festivities around the Holy Sepulchre which takes place at Easter."

Christian Street in Jerusalem's Old City
(Oregon State University Archives)

Image description from historic lecture booklet: "Christian Street is a thoroughfare running north and south ending at David Street. It is by far the cleanest street in all Jerusalem. There is a new "Jerusalem" now being built by the Jewish Zionists, who are settling in Palestine in great numbers. They are establishing a university and are spending millions of dollars in modernizing the city and whole region."

The serpentine road between Jerusalem and Jaffa
(Oregon State University Archives)

"A good macadamized road extends from Jaffa to Jerusalem. The section of road in the picture with its serpentine windings is six or eight miles from Jerusalem."

Maranatha Acres

Purpose

Lamb & Lion Ministries was founded in 1980 as a non-denominational, independent ministry. The Ministry does not seek to convert people to any particular church. Rather, it seeks to lift up Jesus and draw people to Him as Lord and Savior.
The Ministry was established for the purpose of proclaiming the soon return of Jesus. We do not believe it is possible to know the date when Jesus will return. But we do believe it is possible to know the season of the Lord's return, and it is our conviction that we are living in that season.
The message of the Ministry is directed at both believers and non-believers. To the unsaved, the Ministry says, "Flee from the wrath that is to come by fleeing into the loving arms of Jesus." To believers, the Ministry says, "Commit yourselves to holiness as you await the appearance of your Blessed Hope."
We believe that Jesus is the only hope for the world today. He is the Gospel — the "Good News."
We believe the Church, as expressed through the local congregation, is the basic unit of God's plan for the proclamation of the Gospel and the discipling of believers. Lamb & Lion Ministries exists to serve the Church in its effort to win souls for Christ and to disciple those who accept the Lord.

Governance

The Ministry is governed by a Board of twenty-two Trustees who come from a variety of Christian fellowships. The Trustees establish all the policies of the Ministry, and they meet quarterly to review the Ministry's operations.
All the Trustees are committed Evangelicals who affirm that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God; that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that Jesus is returning soon.

Outreach

The Ministry proclaims its message in a variety of ways. One of the most significant is through its weekly television program called Christ in Prophecy. This program is broadcast nationally over the DayStar, Inspirational, NRB and Church Channel networks. The television program provides commentary on national and international events from a Biblical perspective, showing that many of these events are signs of the times pointing to the soon return of Jesus.
The Ministry conducts meetings and seminars all over the country in all kinds of churches. The Ministry's seminars focus on Bible prophecy. The meetings cover either prophecy or spiritual renewal or a combination of the two.
Other forms of outreach include resources such as topical teaching videosaudio programsbooks, multimedia training materials, a bi-monthly magazine called the Lamplighter, and the periodic Bible Prophecy Insights magazine. The magazines alway contain a featured article on some aspect of Bible prophecy.
Another form of outreach consists of pilgrimages to Israel which are conducted a few times a year by the ministry for educational and spiritual purposes.

Missions

In recent years the Lord has opened up many doors of opportunity for the Ministry to proclaim its message in foreign countries. Prophecy conferences and evangelistic crusades have been conducted in South Africa, Poland, Beloruss, the Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Russia, England, India, the Philippines, Israel, Mexico and China.
Bibles and all types of study materials have been sent to churches and missions in countries all over the world. The Ministry's books about Bible prophecy have been translated into Russian, Hungarian, Czech, Polish, Hindi, Tagulu, Urdu, Spanish, and Chinese.
Particular attention has been given to aiding the Jewish refugees that God is regathering back to the land of Israel from the four corners of the earth. The Ministry has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the assistance of the refugees.

Finances

Lamb & Lion is a faith ministry. We do not charge fees for any of our services. Items such as the e-newsletter and electronic magazine are offered free of charge. Meetings and seminars are conducted on a love offering basis. The Lord knows our needs, and we rely upon Him to supply the finances needed for our operations.
The salaries of all staff members are determined by the Board of Trustees. Donations to the Ministry go for staff salaries, operations, and outreach — mainly outreach.
The Ministry operates on a cash basis and has been blessed to end every calendar year of its existence with all its bills paid.
The Ministry has no debts. Its buildings, property, and equipment are all paid for. A financial statement is produced monthly, and copies are available on request. All financial records are audited annually, and the audit reports are also available on request.
The Ministry is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. That means the Ministry operates according to the highest ethical principles with regard to both fund raising and the expenditure of funds.

Location

The Ministry's headquarters is located on five acres of land in a rural area near Princeton, Texas, about 35 miles north of Dallas.
